There's something... very wrong... going on in the botanical gardens. That's the general feeling in the air, the feeling that runs tendrils through the city and gets the attention of some of its magical defenders. Sure, the feeling carries with it that common sickly feeling of dark energy, but at the same time, there's almost a nervous, tense energy.
It's closer to one of Reiko Touyama's favorite places, the koi pond in the botanical gardens, where the things start to really get wierd. The colors seem odd, like life is a monitor and someone's been playing with the balance - turning red and blue down but yellow very much up. Closer in, it becomes more orange, and by the time anyone gets near the pond itself, the neon shades of orange that cover things which should very much not be orange are overwhelming.
Even the water itself is orange, with bright bright orange koi lazing about beneath. One of the few things that isn't orange, though, is the man with the tendrils of white hair with purple tips, wearing a black labcoat and a heavy gantlet on his right palm.
Reiko Touyama was over in the park testing the water's temperature, soon, fish would be back! And soon, the koi would be all active. She was feeling fine and she was talking to her grandpa, who was nearby, because he decided he was coming along today. He was sitting on a nearby bench. She took out the water thermoter and smiled a bit. Aquatics was a fun hobby, though her true passion was in art. If she wasnt such an artist, she'd probably be a marine biologist.
Then something strange started happening. Her Chroma Prism began to vibrate... and shake.. and react. Oddly. This caused her to blink, before something hard and fast burned through her. Oh dear. Someone was straight up 'messing' with the color orange somehow- and this caused a spontaneous transformation too. No phrase. No choice just--- a flash of orange light and suddenly she's Prism Keeper Orange. She blinks and 'eeeeeks!' loudly. She looks around. Ohhh thank god, it's just her grandpa- who looks confused and concerned.
"Grandpa, I'm really sorry but you should go home!" she says. "I think something very dangerous and wrong is happening nearby." Grandpa Touyama softly smiles. "Right then, you know best here, little fish." he says. He begins to walk off on his own. She watches until he gets to the park's edge and then she flutters her wings and takes off towards where her Chroma Prism is leading her--- she flicks it and it morphs into her Chroma Wand, finally-- as she arrives and---
Well she EXECPTED the color grey to be flowing wild and free but everything is.. orange. Very. Very. Very. Orange.
This causes Prism Keeper Orange to blink rapidly.
Then her eyes lay down on /Riventon/. Oh. NOW She knows who is to blame. She frowns.
"Hey!" she calls out. "Hey!-----RIVEN-BAKA." she calls out. This is a name Miss Blue taught her.
"WHAT YOU'RE DOING IS REALLY DANGEROUS FOR EVERYONE! STOP MESSING WITH ORANGE!" she says angrily.
Firebird was rolling along when she saw some bright-orange girl run across. She sighs as she backs into the corner, and activates Swirling Vortex, her Intelligent Device. She rises up after casting Free Fall, hmmmmmmmming softly. She follows the orange girl, keeping her distance and staying high up, wondering what's going on as she comes into the orange park. Where everything is bright, hideously orange. She stays put for now, as she studies the situation, staying thirty feet in the sky. She starts to conjure metal orbs that orbit her - she might need them later.
Danger, mischief, and evil may be afoot. But worse than that, these things are happening at the botanical gardens! A place of natural beauty! Where adorable animals and insects and plants live freely! Sort of! Well, it's a nice place. When the Ace of Diamonds got a tip that something sketchy was afoot from her Animal Friends, she made a beeline there on her moped, driving up to the entrance. It had been a while since she had been an active protector. A while since her friends had left for America.
"But I can't let them just mess things up if they want to." She mutters, before noticing. "Ah! I forgot!" She meeps, parking her moped and locking it up carefully before running inside. A card with an orange diamond appears in her hand, as she holds it out. "Henshin!"
A belt appears on her waist, with an odd buckle that she swipes the card over. <TURN UP> the belt announces, and shoots out a card-shaped barrier that she runs through, changing into her HEROIC FORM!!!
She immediately trips and runs headfirst into the ground.
"Nyat-cha-cha-chaaaah!" she groans, rolling back to her feet and looking around. "Now where is this stuff coming from. Maybe that man needs help?"
Unlike Reiko, Hoshi wasn't in the immediate vicinity of the gardens. A little further out, so even when she senses this awful feeling through her Chroma Crystal? It takes her a little while to get there, transforming into Prism Keeper Yellow on the way there, and looking around to see something really, really weird.
Including that guy Reiko had been drawing, Rivenjerk or something like that. The magical powers of Prism Keeper Yellow sadly didn't make her any better with names. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" She calls out, too polite to call him any form of Jerk even in these kinds of circumstances. "Stop that." She points her wand at Riventon.
Riventon smiles. It's a very smirky smile. He's feeling very good today. It's been a while since he's been back in this form, back with this energy flowing through him. It's eaten up the last of that other intrusive energy. He feels a lot stronger than he has in a week or so.
"I'm not the one doing this." he says, with that smirk still on his face. "In fact, I'm looking for the one who is~" he says in a singsong voice.
"Jeeze, I'm right here." comes a voice. That voice is Reiko's but the speaker isn't. Mostly. After a while she walks forward from the area behind Riventon. The girl is Prism Keeper Orange - but she's not. Her outfit is very very very BRIGHT Orange, like it hurts just to look at it, as is her Chroma Wand. But her skin is pale, and her eyes are grey too. All together it makes for a very dissatisfying image.
Riventon ignores the girls for a moment to round on her. "I am somewhat sure I ordered you to get energy, not create an eyesore." he says, coldly.
"I can do both!" she says, in a petulant Reiko-voice. Then she throws two small gems at Riventon, and he catches them. "So you can." he says, then he turns back around to the two Prism Keepers on the scene. "Well, if you have any concerns about the color pallete of this park, I think you'll have to take them up with my friend, Prism Keeper Orange." he says, gesturing to very-not-keeper-orange.
Prism Keeper Orange frowns. "Of course you are- don't be coy!" she says. Coy.. g--get it? Koi? Coy---oh nevermind. Then he says he's looking for the one who is. That's a lie, this is--something bad in the area. Then what is it? Oh. It's her. Okay sure. That ans--
Wait Who WHAT!?
"T-hat isn't me..!" she says. "THAT ISN'T ME!" she says more worriedly. It isn't right?
Oh man is she seriously questioning that? What's wrong with her!? Today is her birthday and this was supposed to be an awesome day out with grandpa because her parents sent her a card from thier bussiness outing in another country.
"Y--you stop that right now! If you're even... a /little/ bit me, you'll stop!" she says wagging her wand in the air.
Yeah, she's going to try talking first because this is /totally/ weird and freaky to her and new.
Firebird just stares from her perch above, seeing a second orange girl. She remains quiet for now, just studying the situation. She isn't sure who is what, but for now she can afford to wait - she doesn'tk now the guy - or either orange girl, or the yellow girl, or the girl with the funny belt so... for now she'll watch, as she tries to figure out whose side she should be on - so far nobody has seemed to notice her floating above the orange park.
Jun works her way to her feet, looking pretty confused. The cat ears of her odd pink cat-beanie floop this way and that, before perking up. "This place is mew surreal!" She groans, looking around. The colors were giving her a headache, and she was hot pink.
As Prism Keeper Orange and NEGA-ORANGE argue in the same voice, and she looks between the two, she points at the Real One. "Well, obviously you're the real one. You're /keeping/ orange. That other one is just smearing it around! It's not keeping any prisms! In fact, there is an extreme overage of unkept prism-ness around here!"
Yellow knows which one the real Orange is. It's the one that doesn't look like they stole their colour scheme from a nuclear power plant. (Drab Industrial combined with radioactive glow is not a working combination, Riventon.) "Orange, what's going on?" She asks, getting closer and pointing her wand at the fake one, "And I don't mean you, you fake poser person."
The Ace of Diamonds inspires a full-blown facepalm, "Hey, catgirl person? Give us some help, please?" She hasn't seen Firebird yet, so no comments there, and Riventon ignored her so Yellow returns that particular favour.
The not-Reiko crosses her arms and frowns. "I'm as little you as I need to be. Look at you, stammering and everything while trying to act so tough!" she says. "Why should I stop! Orange is the best color! The prettiest color! The brightest and the strongest color. Way better than... yellow, or red!" she says, smiling.
"And I was just making everything orange so it'd be better while I was out doing some work for Riventon-niisan!" she says. Riventon, from behind, grumbles a bit and his hand finds his face. "I told you not to~" he tries to say, not getting much of a word in edgewise against the pale imitation Prism Keeper Orange. "And anyways, you should give me your crystal 'cause you're not using it right. You should be smashing the other crystals so Orange can run everything!"
The Nullheart Keeper walks closer slowly. "And since you won't, I will, and my friends are gonna help me!" she says, as several orange fish pop into existence around her. But they're not koi. They are very much not koi. They are piranha. Bright neon orange piranha with jutting teeth. chomping in the air. She waves her own wand in the air. "You too, Sgt. Fang!"
A last, particularly surly looking piranha appears. This one is bigger than the others. And it has /vampire fangs/ jutting from its upper mouth. Really. "I don't think you wanna mess with us, so hand over the Crystal! And you all better not get in my way or you're gonna get bit!" she says, waving a wand at yellow and the Ace.
Riventon, meanwhile, has just taken up space leaning against a bright orange tree, watching it. He sticks out in his black and it looks very halloween.
Prism Keeper Orange sort of grits her teeth yeah this is... some sort of stupid clone or something. How it knows enough to know that Sgt. Fins is a thing is beyond her. Maybe Riventon did some sort of weird scanning thing the last ordeal. He was scanning that stupid monster he unleashed. Nrg--- it's powers are close to her own isn't it? It can obviously infuse but---it's out of control.
Her Chroma Prism insists this is 'dark' but... it isn't really. Except those odd grey eyes.
"Nrg..I dunno Yellow, I guess he made a jerk clone of me because he's just that lonely now!" she says. Oh yeah, she went there.
She raises her wand and summons up some koi. She manages to summon one for every Pihrana. The last one to appear kind of looks around nervously.
Yeah Reiko's still nervous, and it shows in her koi that emit from her heart, focused through the Chroma Prism.
"I'm not gonna let you do as you please with my guardian color!" she huffs!
She looks to the weird cat person and blinks. "Y--yeah help us, this jerk is a jerk and he made a jerk because that's WHAT JERKS DO!" she snaps.
She flicks her wand and yells.."C-charge!"
And then her koi race off to face the Pihrana.
Who called for the fish vs. fish dogfight anyways!?
Firebird slowly descends to float by the yellow person. "Hi, I'm Firebird. What's going on? Two orange girls? Waht is this, a Persona game?" she asks as she floats there, a glowing ring around her waist as she is holdnig a mace. "I... I have no idea what's going on but that's some ferocious fishfight." She hmmmmmmms. "And who's that guy?' she asks, pointing to Riventon.
"So... /Orange/ can run everything? Smashing other colors? Well, to be totally honest..." She levels a finger at the Nullheart Keeper, striking a pose. "Yellow and Red, together, make orange! Everyone knows that! You can't deny your roots, orange! Destroying yellow and red would destroy you!"
Yeah that's her objection.
As she's called to arms, called to help out the Prism Keepers, she shrugs. "It's nyat my field, really, but... Something about this just makes my blood boil. Plus, using animals for evil? That's a no-no. So I'll help out!" She announces, the tips of her hair glowing red-orange as if they were catching fire.
She extends both hands, aiming fingerguns at the pirahanas, like they were deadly weapons.
And then she pops off a few low-power magic shots from her fingerguns, because that's apparetly how THAT works.
"I would say to not judge people, but honestly he's talking about domination and destruction, so I'd bet this is a safe bet!"
"Yellow is the nicest colour, but I wouldn't want to live in a world that's only yellow. All the colours have a place, they make eachother nicer." Yellow objects to the fake prism keeper's words. A few stars pop into being near her head, and start zipping around between the dogfighting magic flying fish, mostly trying to get in the way of the orange Piranha.
The girl takes a step closer, and points her wand firmly at Riventon. "I don't know what you're doing, but I know you're behind this, Riventon." With a few small jogs to her memory, thanks to the Nullheart, she remembers what Reiko called him. "Stop doing this, it's mean."
And for the second time this week, she aims at the big threat hanging around the side rather than the smaller threat actually fighting. Someone should tell Yellow how to properly prioritize, the beam of Yellow that she aims is pretty normal as far as those things go.
Riventon pipes up only verbally from his relaxed position by the tree - which, given how he's acted recently, is somewhat notable on its own. "Ah. You know, as a fellow genius once said - 'Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.' The mediocre minds Einstein was referring to, by the way, are people like you all, getting in my way like gnats." he clarifies.
Meanwhile the Pirhana are engaged by the koi, and it's a more fair fight than you'd think - the koi have an agility edge and aren't afraid to slap back with their tails! The attacks by the Ace hit a couple pirhana which burst into motes of orange. And the stars often become living shields for the Koi, as the single-minded pirhana slam into them.
The Nullheart frowns. "No, no. Once there's only orange, there's only orange! It's not that hard!!" she shouts, heedless of things like 'logic'. "Orange will make up everything!" she shouts, and she points her wand at the Ace, where a sphere of neon glowing orange collects and then fires off at her.
She fires a couple of orbs off at the Orange and Yellow keepers too, for good measure. "It also makes a good weapon!" she shouts loudly, smiling.
Back at the tree, Riventon has to get up and stand up as the beam of yellow streaks towards him, only to inpact the dark blue shield just moments befor eit'd hit him - the shield being dismissed after turning bright yellow itself. "Man, why am I not surprised the annoying little one gets an annoying little friend. I leave you alone for a little bit and you mutliply like a fungus culture." he says, generating a black orb in each hand.
Prism Keeper Orange looks to Yellow and her eyes go wide. "Yellow!----" nrg.. no, maybe she has the right idea. Go for Riventon while she handles um. Herself. Well a Shadow Self. Ugh. This is really weird. She looks to the cat person and blinks and smiles. "H-hey! You're right!" she says. Yeah that's a nice confidence boost right there. The koi go ahead and slap-- pihrana. Sgt. Fins- a koi in an army helmet because- of course why not, is playing it smart. Engaging is weird guerilla koi warfare. Reiko watches WAY too many WWII documentaries with Grandpa.
"Only Orange is boring you know!" she says. "I'm Prism Keeper Orange but there's one for every color you know!" she huffs. "And it takes all the colors...."
"To make a Rainbow!" she says.
She levies her wand as she summons up a koi-shaped shield in front of her, tanking the blasts of orange orbs. She winces, as the shield drops when the threats passed---then she fires a beam of vibrant orange light into the Nullheart Orange, frowning.
"Don't you understand, just Orange--- it'd stink! It'd be so boring and dull-- no better than everything being gray and monotone!"
Firebird rises up again, her question unheeded. She is still not sure what's going on but is pretty sure who the bad guy is. "The probelm with using the light - is that light can be meddled with. A high-enough gravity field can BEND light." She points at the evil orange girl. The guy leaning against the tree doesn't appear to be a threat right now. The actual threat seems to be the weird orange girl.
Alright, Vortex. Let's try to distract her. Combat Mode." The mace starts to change shape into a flail. She then moves closer as she then fires a few metal spheres at Riventon to distract him - as she holds Vortex, firing the flail-head like a missile right at Null Orange, all projectiles moving at high speeds, faster than they should.
Only orange? Literally everything orange all the time? That doesn't make sense at all. How can something that's obsessed with orange as a color... Try to make everything identical?
"But if we're nyall orange, then how will you know what's the best, prettiest, strongest? Everything will be the same. And if--ohno!" She's cut off in her Speechifying by a beam of WEAPONIZED ORANGE, causing her to hit the deck to avoid the worst of it, sparks flying off her outfit as she's grazed with the overwhelming ORANGE. "Ahh!"
She rolls back to a crouch, another card appearing between index and middle finger. "Che... I'll have to take you seriously! Even if you don't make any sense! AND DON'T GO INSULTING MY INTELLIGENCE, YOU!" She calls over at Rivington.
The card in her hand becomes a large pistol which she holds in both hands, firing now at the Nullheart Keeper a fusillade of shots. "If everything is orange, then everything will be the /worst/, too! That's how averages work!"
Yellow watches Riventon just shield her beam entirely, and unlike Kunzite he doesn't even get more interesting when he does that. "Maybe I'm annoying, but at least my heart is in the right place; I didn't sell it for the ability to make cheap knockoffs of people I'm jealous of." Yes, that's Yellow getting a little sassy. That is abnormal, she reserves that for people who actually managed to upset her.
She jumps up to dodge the orbs, though a little late, and the first one hits her, throwing her jump off-course and making her land on her behind, a few feet back. "Ow." She comes to the conclusion that they'll need to focus on one enemy before focusing on the next, so her wand is aimed at the Nullheart next.
"Once there's only Orange, there's no longer anything special about Orange. You'll just make Orange the new Grey." No Yellow doesn't know any Netflix original series, that's just coincidence. "And that'd be bad." She fires a series of glowing stars, which start circling around the Nullheart's head in a dizzying and disorienting orbit pattern.
"Only orange is boring?!" Null Orange shouts out, sounding legitimately shocked and her voice gets higher pitched. "You're not a... a keeper of orange! You're a traitor to it!" she says. "YOU CAN TOTALLY MAKE AN ORANGE RAINBOW! ORANGE COMES IN DIFFERENT SHADES!"
But as she flutters into the sky it's clear she shares some other traits with the real orange too, dodging some of the incoming attacks from the Ace of Diamonds more by sheer luck than amazingly agile flying. A couple do hit home, though, and she sucks in air through here teeth.
It's distracted her thouhgt, and the projectiles from Firebird slam into her, as does the orange blast from Reiko - despite the fact that Null Orange is a very bright orange, in some ways wits the way Reiko weilds her power, to bring a sort of balance, and it actually makes part of her outfit fade back to a less eye-burning shade of orange. "See?!" she shouts in amazed anger.
"Orange can't ever be the worst... y... you don't understand anything!" Null Orange shouts, her wand firing off a stream of bubbles, so bright in the air they might as well be blinky neon lights.
But a lot of bubbles are far off course, hitting trees and the ground and 'popping' in a saturating burst of orange, because the stars around her are distracting, and the Pirhana are trying to get them away, which really only leads to more chaos around her.
"Heh. If my soul was sold, it was sold before I was born. But frankly, I like this power. And I dunno, I think she's performing pretty well for an initial prototype." Riventon muses to Yellow.
Another attack headed for Riventon is eaten up by the shield - blocking these attacks isn't as easy as he's making it look, draining energy from his personal reserves - but outwardly it looks effortless. "Hey, hey. I'm not the experiment here. Stop trying to change the outcome by affecting the person doing the measurements!"
Prism Keeper Orange frowns. "Like I told you before Yellow...all he cares about is his stupid experiments. Nothing else, no one else!" she seethes.
"I'm done trying to tell you anything else, you.. you monochromatic imposter!" she yells. Indeed, she's only one color! Monochromatic!
"I AM NOT ONE OF YOUR PROTOTYPES!" she yells.
She fires off a series of koi-shaped bursts of energy, not quite koi themselves, but enough that it's recognizeable. This one has a little bit of a purifying charge to it, but not as powerful as a stronger attack.
Heck this one doesn't even have a name!
She's getting ready for something more powerful though....
"Y-yellow...I want you...to come over here...okay!? Hurry..." she mutters!
Firebird frowns. It takes some effort for that shield of his... but damn. She can also tell that it'd take a LOT to breach that shield. She sighs as she focuses her attention on the Nullheart. Whatever it is. She then smiles. "I'll hold her down for you guys," she states. "Jupiter Field." "Acknowledged. Creating gravity field." A black magic circle would form around the Nullheart. In it, the force of gravity would be five times Earth gravity. She hopes that'll be enough to pin her. But the circle has a 10 foot radius. It could be escaped possibly. "If you need some red, let me know - I don't have light powers but I look mostly red..." she calls to the two Prisms.
Things are... Difficult. Bubbles, however, the Ace of Diamond gets. She takes careful aim, popping magic bubbles with her weaponfire, as she listens. Well, she has a hard time not, with those animated cat-ears under her beanie, which turn-floop towards Prisim Orange's direction. A C-c-combo attack? "People nyaren't prototypes! They've got hopes and dreams. People to rely on - and people mew rely on them!"
She flicks her free left hand, two cards appearing clenched in her fingers. "You two do what you're going to do! I'll--" She looks up to see Firebird cast a spell to lock down the Nullheart, smilin and giving a salute with her gun-holding hand. "--Keep that other guy busy. Hey, insulting guy!"
She swipes one card, with the picture of a pelican on it. <DIVE> Her belt calls.
She swipes the second card, with the picture of a salamander on it. <FLAME>
She takes a running start, her footsteps leaving patches of fire as she leaps into the air, her hair ablaze. "Let's see if I can force my way through that shield of yours!" She calls, extending one foot out as she drills down on Rivington, heel first.
<BLAZE DRIVER> The belt calls out mechanically, as she aims to flying rider kick the mastermind. Since he's not been speeched sufficently or punched much, it probably won't be a true finisher - but it should buy time, between Firebird and the Ace, for the Prisms to fire up their Combo attack!
It's a combo-combo!
Yellow comes to the conclusion that neither of the two people they're fighting can be reasoned with, so she just stops trying for now. Instead, she listens to Orange's suggestion, running over, with some wing-assisted jumping to speed it up, then lands right next to her friend.
"Let's do this." She agrees raising her wand as she stands right next to Orange, "CHROMA UNISON ATTACK! PRISM YELLOW!" She points her wand at the Nullheart when she finishes, hoping Orange joins in. This is all instinct, she doesn't know what she's doing.
The Null Keeper is in the air, and a bit clumsily spraying bubbles around, only to have to stop, knocked off course again by the smaller bursts from Orange that she's using to cover her charge. "You can't just d... do that so openly!" she shouts. She raises her arm to try to blast the real Orange before that energy can fully collect - only to find her whole body slammed down and held by the force of that gravity field.
"What y...you're too weak to fight me by yourself?!" Null Orange shouts, still angry in her small way, trying to bring her wand up. Maybe she could escape, if she wasn't so focused on trying to regain the offensive.
If Riventon had treated the Ace's attack as something normal, it might've been more damaging to him that it is - but Axion warned him of the strength, coming almost out of nowhere as far as his attention is. Instead of one shield, there's multiples - three - and each one absorbs a little bit of the Blaze Driver as it lashes out, shattering but meaning that by the time the kick connects the man underneath all of that, it only sends him back a foot or so, thanks to the Barrier Jacket.
"You know, my name is Riventon, not Insulting Guy. Don't you at least try to figure out the right name before you go kicking peop... oh right. Heroes. No thinking first, or really ever." he snarls. But he's not really in a position to help his creation from here, and he knows that. "Pity. She was starting to grow on me in a hyperactive, crazy way." he says to the Ace, head inclined towards the Null Keeper. He'd come up to fight himself, but energy is a valuable resource to him right now... no sense expending it in a four-on-one like it'd surely become soon.
Meanwhile, Null Orange is still running her mouth rather than making progress escaping the well. "Fine! Admit you need Yellow's help to beat me! That just means I'm right! Even if you win I'm right!" she says, still trying - and somehow she's managed to get her arm pointed towards the two girls, gravity well be damned! But she hasn't found the strength to fire off an attack...
Prism Keeper Orange huffs. "LIKE I SAID IT TAKES MORE THAN ONE COLOR TO MAKE A RAINBOW!" she calls out.
"CHROMA UNISON ATTACK! PRISM ORANGE!" she calls out, raising her wand along side Yellows, two Prisms sync as one!
There's a sudden brilliant flare of yellowed-orange out from the two-- orange and yellow don't make a particular color besides 'lighter orange', but the base of the beam takes that color---
"Lemons!"
"Oranges!"
"Lemons and Oranges!"
Similar to how Red and Orange did it before with 'Apples and Oranges'- the fruit-specific names seem to fit at least as the brilliant, large beam arcs forth from the energy build up.. aiming to smash into the currently stuck Nullheart Orange--- trying to purify her.
Orange secretly and perhaps sadly wonders if there'd be even anything left after this if it hits... her expression is a little somber about it.
Firebird just keeps the gravity field in place as the two Prisms combine Yellow and Orange into... Yorange. She just maintains the gravity well, making sure that the attack won't be disrupted by it as the foolish null-orange girl is too busy whining to try to get out of the field. Oh well. Makes her life easy. She keeps the field going, hovering above and to the side of the null-orange girl. She is reluctant to use Singularity in this beautiful park so - she'll pin down the target and let others blast her.
Her combo-combo attack coming to... delicious fruition, the Ace of Diamonds forces her way through Riventon's shields, the flames wooshing through the previous before unaugmented, and rahter mild, kick is delivered to him, sending him a bit away. She frowns at him, standing up. "You should mews other people. You know, there's a better way. But your jacket is pretty tough! I can respect a good defense." She nods, as the Prisms get ready to - and unleash - their ultimate attack!
In a moment of odd calm, Diamonds smiles and shrugs. "They're the fun kinds, aren't they?"
Yellow watches their mutual beams fly off, waiting so see the impact of their attack, even as she looks a little more exhausted than she'd like to be. She's still new at this, and she's been doing a lot of it. So it's taking up a lot of her energy, "We did it, right?" She asks Orange.
Nullheart Keeper Orange is still stubbornly trying to get more aggression in, and the tip of her false Chroma Wand even begins to glow with that hostile orange color... but then, before she can attack, the surging blast of combined color slams into her. The effect is dramatic as she shifts from orange to yellow and back - before the 'henshin' is blown off of her, leaving behind a girl-shaped construct of shadows and darkness. The thing snarls, but it's no longer in Reiko's voice, or any language at all besides raw hostility as the same colors surge through it.
It too, suddenly shatters into thousands of tiny glass-shard like motes of negative energy which dissolve into the air like fine dust. What's left behind, in the center of where the creature was, is a small, gumdrop like orb of bright orange, with a pirhana motif on it. That orb hits the grass, where it bounces twice and shatters likewise into negative energy.
Riventon looks - a little sad - before he talks again. "Well, she was fun while she lasted." he says, starting to take a few steps back. He's got the little shards she brought him, and there's not much research to be gained from a further fight. That said, he does have more to say.
"Since you probably didn't get the subtext here, little Keeper Orange, I'll explain it to you. You touched what's mine, you took what belongs to me. So I'm going to do the same to you. First, it's yourself. But nothing is off limits - you started this. I'll tear everything from your color to your friends apart. This is your warning."
"Next time I'll put you in the hospital like I did your obnoxious red friend. Or you can tell me where my fox is next time, instead. Think about the risks you're willing to have other people take, and yourself, before I find you again." Riventon's not enraged now, he's calm. Which might make him seem more scary, in his angry obsession. Then he takes a step back and falls backwards intentionally - but before he hits the ground, he fades into the Dusk Zone to make his escape.
Prism Keeper Orange sort of clenches her teeth. "She doesn't belong to you...." is all she says, it's confident because it's the one thing she knows. Ayana-chan does not belong to Riventon, not after all he's /done/.
"Maybe someday you actually be able to make friends without literarly making them." she spits as he dissapears.
She looks to Yellow and frowns. "See..." she says. "He's a jerk. He doesn't care. He just wants Ayana because /she belongs to him/ and nothing more!" she says.
"Well-- she doesn't have to worry about that anymore." she says as she sighs and lets her feet touch ground and looks around. She sighs and raises her wand upwards, and says...
"Diffuse!"
She begins draining all this awful excess orange away to bring the world back to normal.
Firebird raises an eyebrow as she continues to float. "So... ummmm... I just came along because I saw Orange here running and looking worried. I hope I wasn't unwlcome. So - could someone tell me what's going on with... theo ther orange youma? I've heard of Riventon before - an evil bearer of an Intelligent Device..." She sighs. "So... ummm...."
Hearing the dire threats from Riventon as he makes his escape, the Ace of Diamonds sighs, 'holstering' her pistol in mid-air on her hip where it disappears. "Well, nyat certainly was... Something. You two ok? Thanks for the assist, anyway. It looked pretty bad for a bit there."
She rubs her sparked back, a dark line on her otherwise undamage personage. "That laser still smarts."
But at least the world is less orange. "Well... I guess we finished it in a decisive shot, mmm?" She wonders with a smile, fingergunning at the two Prism Keepers.
Energy shots do not spew forth from her dangerous digits.
Yellow would help Orange with the cleanup work, but well... this isn't a job for Chroma Palette Cleanser, and orange isn't her colour. "I wonder how he ended up like that..." Ever concerned about others, now that Riventon is gone Yellow returns to her standard assumption that people are inherently good and that something happened to ones that aren't to make them that way.
And that, of course, means they are to be pitied, not loathed. "I'm glad he isn't able to drag Ayana down with him anymore. Ayana seems happy, I hope she stays that way."
She looks up at Firebird, "That guy, Riventon, made an evil clone of Orange-chan. That's not normal... I think." She seems more than a little unsure, like she doesn't quite have normal re-calibrated yet after realizing her normal had stopped being normal.
She makes sure to bow to both Firebird and Ace, "Thank you for your help, I am Prism Keeper Yellow. And this is my friend, Prism Keeper Orange." She makes a polite introduction. "We're responsible for protecting colour, not making a mess like we're playing splatoon."
Prism Keeper Orange looks at Firebird and blinks. "Yeah that was Riventon... he deeply hurt a friend of mine and treated her like property..." she mutters. "...she's okay now though. He's upset because I helped take her away from that." she says confidently.
She looks to Jun and Firebird with a blink. Oh!
"Yes, I'm Prism Keeper Orange! We protect color. That clone kinda... overdid it. Like it wasn't caring..." she mutters.
"I hope that jerk isn't making another one of me." she says. "I don't wanna get in trouble because some clone of me is hurting people or doing bad things." she mutters.
She glances at Yellow. "He doesn't know of your direct involvement yet. Keep it that way." she frowns. "I don't wanna have to face weird evil Yellow!" she insists.
She smiles. "You kept... evil me pinned down, thanks!" she says at Firebird.
Firebird nods. "Yes. My Device specializes in gravity magic. I put her under 5 times EArth's gravity in the circle. Honestly, if that youma had tried, she probably could've got out if she wans't too busy complaining." She shrugs. "I hae a power even I'm scared to use," she muses softly. "So - I'm guessing you really like koi, huh?" she asks. She continues to hover a few inches off the ground - she makes no signs of wanting to just walk.
The Ace of Diamonds looks around, pleased with the changes back to the natural state of things, at least chromatically, before placing her hands on her hips. "Well, I'm glad we could help out. I'm sorry to hear that about your friends, but..." She gives a big dumb grin.
"That's what friends are for, right? Well, and passing heroes. And hero-like people. Anyway, I'm the Ace of Diamonds - if you see any rampaging animals, they may be mine!"
She flips up a card - this one different. She splays it into three, before tossing one at each person. "Here. Take... my card." She offers with a straight face. Each card is a plastic-laminate classic hoyle card, the Ace of Diamonds, with pink cat ears doodled onto one end and a :3 penned in in pink-metallic sharpie.
She giggles to herself. "I've always wanted to say that. See you three around!"
She begins to mosey on out, her trials done.
