Location: Blue Penguin Park. Right near the gigantic penguin slide! It's nearly midnight, and only punks and magical girls claim the park. Case in point: Miss White is whistling, leaning against said obnoxiously cute bit of playground equipment. Right next to her is what seems to be a slightly shimmering area. There's police tape everywhere. Hint: Hannah might have stolen some police tape just to keep people away.
She's sent out the call to her allies in WPS, and really just people she knows. Those outside of Eclipse are slightly more in the dark, but only barely: capture a youma from an old lab. Bring nets.
There's a net right beside Hannah, and about eight different jars. Two are clipped to her pants' belt on her barrier jacket.
When people arrive, she makes to clap her hands, then frowns. Oh well. This is all part of getting an arm back.
"Heeeey people! Alright! So most of you know the score, but just in case: old, abandoned, probably freaky lab. We're going to get in, find a youma, and ransack the place for anything useful. Then, we capture, or if we can't, we kill said youma and get out before collapsing the lovely little plane of reality it's in by destabalizing /this/ portal!" She raps a knuckle against said shimmering light. It makes a very portal-y-on-flesh-and-bone sound.
"Questions? Last wills and testaments? Declarations of undying love and awe in my beauty and power?" Griiiiiin.
Mara is falling down front the top of a building, but of course! She lands on the cutest piece of playground equipment, and it breaks from her landing. "Ooof!"
Mara stands up, dusting herself off, and looks around herself, "Umm... oops?" She smiles innocently, and looks to Hannah with a bit if a silly grin. "I have no net, but I can definitely keep it distracted!" She crosses her arms, nodding a couple of times.
Mara steps away from the thing she just broke, and goes to sit on a swing, whistling innocently. "Remind me not to jump from buildings anymore, and landing on equipment that isn't meant to take that kind of punishment."
Riventon is probably felt more than heard, as instead of walking up, landing nearby, or dropping out of the sky like a normal person, he's shortcutted through the Dusk Zone and has just torn his way from one dimension to other, hearalded by that pressure and feeling of dark energy as he appears just a few feet to the right of Hannah, excess energy dripping off of him.
And with all of this Dynamic Entry, still, the boy with the long white hair and purple tips just turns to her. "Hey." he says, with a smile. "As long as I can take some equipment BACK with me. Anything in here isn't stuff they wanted, so it should be fine for me to grab it, and... we could use it." he says.
Cure Gull raises her hand at the last one with a teasing grin, because of course she does. "I wanna declare my undying loooove and awe in your awesome beauty and poweeeerrr.~" she says. But this is no surprise, but really, she's listening to this whole thing still with a cheesy super grin on her face.
She listens. "Okay. So. Capture. So-- no Hopeful Feather Shoot. Unless we're dusting it. Then--- um. Let me know. Because I'm gonna be able to kill it the easiest probably or hilarously weaken it- purification, etc." she says sheepishly. Being a Pretty Cure and all that.
She peeks at the assorted individuals and brushes her right arm. "Otherwise I'll just stick to wind n' feathers." she says.
Oh! Riventon is here! Eeee, that kind of makes her smile and she may be one of a few people happy to see Riventon when he appears, but then that smile collpases. "Oh...I thought that was just rumor around the WPS offices...." she says. "--right! Let's get you all the things!" she insists! All the things!
The Symphogear wielder was not on the party invite list, somehow she figured out something was going on regardless, and the blue-haired sword-wielding girl gets off her motorcycle outside the tape and walks up to join the others like she belongs with the group. "Evening." She hasn't brought a net, apparently whatever sources she has missed that memo.
"Got it." She responds to Hannah's brief explanation of the plan, still acting like there's no reason for her not to be here. She doesn't smile, at anyone, the look she gives Riventon is one of mild annoyance, but she doesn't dignify him with a verbal greeting.
A familiar figure emerges! "Riv-kun! You made it!" Oh yeah, Hannah sounds happy to see the man. That's probably...well, likely the only one who'd actually like to see Riventon. Maybe unless you're Sailor Mercury. All of that dark energy has her grinning.
"You...'look' a lot better. I'm glad. Yeah, we should find plenty of stuff, so take everything that you need. I did some scouting, I know there's at least two working magical computers, a few dark energy converters, and might just be..." She pauses, and peeks at a few non-Eclipse members here.
"Well, let's just say your day is about to get good." A chuckle.
CRASH! Hannah is suddenly covered in bits of penguin-ride based debris. She coughs, and dusts off her barrier jacket. "Hey Mara. Glad to have you with us. Just...uhh, yeah. Either learn a 'slowfall' spell, or work on teleportation.
Hannah meanwhile tosses jars to people. Hopefully they can catch.
Hannah actually blushes, then fawns for a moment! Cough. Professionalism Hannah!
"That's about the size of it, gull. Yeah, only kill the thing if we start taking serious injuries. It's not a high priority thing. Really, as long as it all goes 'boom' in the end, we're good."
And then, that odd symphogear user arrives! he visibly twitches, but nods.
"Up for mercenary work, I take it? Well, fine. This is short notice, though, so don't think you're getting paid. Alright. Geronimo, fools!"
Wind magic flares into her hand, and with a slashing motion, that shammering portal becomes a massive circular vortex, and Hannah drops in.
One stacked space, stomach-twisting ride later, the group lands in a dingy, dark lab positively soaking in dark energy. The initial room is entirely made of steel, and there's a small ankle-deep pool of water from a leaking drainpipe. Much of the stuff here is rusted thanks to it, but there /is/ a set of magical computers that are still chugging away with error codes. No network. No surprise why. There's power, but the lights flicker in red, casting eerie light everywhere.
There's only one way forward, a single steel door. Hannah tries the keypad. No dice. Not even an emergency override.
"Someone help me kick this door down! The rest of you, can hunt around for stuff to salvage!"
Aside from the computers, there's several filing cabinets in one area. In another, strange little jars in a cupboard. When one opens it? There's light. In yet another, a partially dissassembled Device sits, unblinking and slightly rusted from exposure.
Riventon follows them into the labspace, and walks right over to the computers. Below his own mainframes, but useful for the rest of the drones. He starts disconnecting them, without asking anyone if they're useful, necessary, or interesting to anyone else here. "Kicking's not really my thing and I'm worried if I blasted it, that it might fly into the room and break more stuff." he says.
Looking around, he reaches into a lab coat pocket and draws out a few small crystaline sharps, which he crushes in his hand. The energy within drips out onto the floor and takes the form of two of his shadowy youma, which start to help him stack up the equipment - even some of the salvageable junk.
He seems less interested in some of the people around, but Tsubasa gets a glare when she goes by, and Gull-chan gets a smile, as does Hannah.
Mara blinks and catches said Jar, then steps through the portal.
Mara holds out her right hand as her great axe forms in her palm. She starts to walk around and checking things out.
Mara's first inspection is to tap at a computer screen with the base of her great axe, "Hello, is a silly monster hiding in there?" The bottle in her left, she holds it up to the computer screen, "Get in here so I can go home, or find someone to pick on them, please?" She smiles innocently at the computer monitor.
The screen goes blank, and she looks back to Riventon, "Hey! I was asking the computer monitor a question!"
Cure Gull looks around the room and shviers. "Ugh, you can just feel the stench here." she says. She looks back to Riventon. "If you need help dislodging computers let me know~" she sings, smile~
Things Pretty Cures are good for: Kicking things and Punching Things.
"I'll help, White-chan~" she sings out and follows along, her wings forming on her back she jumps over in a float and cracks her knuckles a moment, and then says. "Okay.. on the count of three...."
Then she just says. "Three!" then she punches forward with a wind infused Precure punch. Ka-pow!
"Mara-chan~ A youma probably isn't hiding in the computers. Unless it is. Maybe...maybe it's a /computer virus/!?" she asks.
Gullll Punch! Paow!
"Want me to try slicing it if this doesn't work?"
She peeks towards the Sympogear user and blinks. Huh. That's not something she's seen before.
She gives a wave. "My name's Cure Gull. Welcome along! I think things are gonna get hairy fast, it's just quiet now~"
Tsubasa gives Hannah only one more sentence before they go in. "Don't need your money." She starts singing softly when they do go in, the style is traditional Japanese music, and as she does, she draws her Katana, which expands to become a much heftier blade, that is used to help cut a way through the barrier.
"A blade that cuts like a sudden wind,"
"Lovely as a thousand flowers."
She moves onwards, looking around for danger, including the danger of those people in her surroundings, like Riventon, but doesn't engage or actively try to assist in the looting. There is the occassional brief snapping sound, like she's taking pictures.
"A slashing moon sparkles in the sunlight"
"Sadness, return to the pure land ... for eternity."
She nods to Cure Gull, "Ame no Habakiri's wielder." She manages to fit in a pause of the song she's singing. She doesn't really seem to be talkative, the singing itself seems to have some other purpose.
"Probably for the best. Though the fact that I need to show more subtlety than you today is a little frightening!" Quips Hannah good naturedly, even as science-ta-kun goes about disconnecting wires. There's definitely bits that need to be replaced, but more than servicable!
Tsubasa gets a smirk. "Fine by me! I like free helping hands!"
There's no dnager at first, just a rusted out old lab. Though Hannah can't help but raise a brow.
"Huh. Not bad. Could you do some Johnny Cash, though? Your voice would be perfect!"
Mara's 'investigations' has her computer screen cracking from the tap. Then there's the smell of smoke, and then the computer starts to burn. The monitor expresses its displeasure at her sweet commands by sparking and burning at her.
"Mara! Computers don't work that way! Stop burning the equipment! We've been over this before, dangit!" She huffs.
"Well that's what happens when you've got water like this. Ugh, probably been here for at least three years. We're lucky we get anything useful." Frown. But then, Gull goes for a punch! Hanah raises a leg, and slams forward. Between the pair, metal creaks and rends, falling down as hinges give in by the force of magical fists and legs.
WHUMP! The water drains out of the room, and the area opens up. Where once there was a lab, there's a massive natural cavern. Lab equipment is over-run with damp natural grass and moss, as if this cavern had been being studied by some kind of evil naturalist. The cavern leads to an underground lake, where lillypads float lazily, and up above, the rock is covered in gemstones that feel faintly magical, giving off gentle light. She might not be able to see it, but she can sense it thanks to Raging Tempest. She pauses, and lets out a gasp. For once she's speechless at the beauty on display.
Some of that lab equipment, including energy converters, is still useful!
"....I've never been more jealous of people with work eyes in my life." She mutters.
The group would notice something moving amongst those lillypads. What first appear to be simple lights, soon turn out to be alive! A swarm of flying, emerald-green lights move to the air, majestically floating towards the group. As they get closer? Butterflies. Emerald green butterflies with elongated wings, all reeking of magical energy. Darn magical energy.
Deep green lights gather all the strong, and tiny mouths open! A wave of magical, evil lasers lash out. Each one is a tiny pinprick, but he combined effect is a danger to everyone! A nearby cavern wall earns a massive hole as Miss White covers and ducks from the blast, her shielding saving her from losing another arm!
"DOWN! That's out youma!" Pause. Grumble.
"They said there was just /ONE/ damnit!"
As she lands, Hannah kicks a burst of wind at the group, sending several of them scattering, and lasers going wide! Everyone's still in danger of being blasted though!
Riventon's youma go about packing up things and getting them off the floor in the intent to Dimensionally Tranasfer them later. But then Mara's work has one of the computers light up, and Riventon sharply curses. "Be careful! This stuff is my payment for whatever the heck we're about to see!" he admonishes her. And that reminds him.
The door comes down as he's walking over. "By the way, Miss White, about some encounters I keep having with your Emp~..." and then there's a rumbling blast and Riventon looks out at the swarm.
"You're surprised headquarters made it sound less bad? Tomoe's folks are notorious for that. I think they think it's funny - or they hate competition." he says, a laser pinging off his shield.
And then he produces a jar from somewhere within his labcoat, and begins to walk forward, shield up, blasts slamming into it but not making headway. "I'm sure they don't need all of them alive." he comments coldly.
Cure Gull looks around as she enters the cavern and woahs. "Woah..." she says with wide eyes. This is rather pretty. What was being studied here? Was it something actually pleasent and nice!? Then there are butterflies! Her eyes go wiiiiiiide---
Then they begin all opening thier eyes. Then she's moving out of the water with her wings dashing to the side. White-chan can handle some stupid bugs, so she's not too worried about 'aid' at the moment. She turns to the others. "Crap... small targets." she mutters.
She raises her hand and calls out... "GULL FEATHER STORM...." and she throws her arm forward--- a scattering array of feathers shooting to the air like a tiny storm of pinpricks back-- going for a large cone of staturation- as that's how this attack works-- just a rapid swarm of energy feather needles.
Shorly following the attack she unscrews that jar and then throws a gust of wind over-- time to practice that 'grab and bring over here with wind magic' trick she's been practicing it since she saw Hannah-chan do it at that Waplurgisnacht meeting. She's trying to grab one and jar it without also potentially hurting it.
At least there's multiple and---
"They don't need /all/ of them. Right?" and oh, Riventon shares the same sentiment, she grins and thumbs up!
Also, is that girl in the weird gear singing...!? Also that is /totally/ a name that rolls off the tounge. She settles on um. Ame-san. Yeah. "Ame-san then!" she calls out.
Huh.
Well, Maybe she just likes to whistle while she works?
She's also trying reallly hard not to get any of this equipment in a cross fire-- aiming at the ceiling or an empty wall or towards things that already look junked to hell.
She glances at all the others, checking locations and statuses. Ugh. She wishes she could grab Corvus along with these things--- but--- well. He'd just worry if he saw her doing stuff like this. Like a lot.
"Whoever finds old CRT monitors good payment has issues..." Mara sure is one to talk..
Mara got hit by a stray laser while poking at the dead monitor, "But I barely tapped it! It wasn't enough to break it, I swear!" Even after the laser went through her, she felt it, barely.. She looks at the little hole in her abdominal area, "Damnit!"
Mara lifts her head from looking at the hole in her abdominal area to the butterfly that made it, "That's going to leave a mark!" She suddenly feels all the pain that little hole is causing, but it just causes her to enrage even more as she charges at the swarm, leaping over Hannah and anyone else that might be in the way.
Mara moves into the swarm like the crazy Puella she is, and swipes the jar through the swarm of youma butterflies, hoping to catch one or two with the jar. Once the jar is through, she will cap it without thinking, then get out of the midst of them, and evade, not really wanting anymore holes!
"If I didn't get any in this jar, I am sorry, but they are all going to die in a moment!"
As the youma appear, Tsubasa dashes to take cover behind Riventon. She knows from experience he can take a beating. She still gets hit by one, grazing the side of her leg, and she winces briefly as she tries to re-assess the situation.
"In a battlefield crying with lamentation"
At the same time, blue energy swords start appearing in the air. They just pop into being one by one, hovering in the air, pointy end towards the swarm of youma. It's quickly becoming quite the selection of swords, setting up some kind of combat strategem, no doubt.
"I wipe away the drops of tedium"
Riventon's suggestion they don't need all the Youma alive is taken as sufficient excuse to let the swords fly into the swarm, or at least the most recent position of a significant chunk of them. The intent is to thin out the cloud without destroying all of it, apparently samples are needed.
"I put my memories and my pride in every single slash of thunder."
The next break in the song provides Tsubasa with another opportunity to quickly put in some words, "Habakiri-san works best." She suggests, it's a name that's been used for her before, and likely will be again.
Miss White is slowly picking herself up off the ground, smelling like toasted mage. She sharply sighs. "...Which one was it Riv-kun?" She asks, with audible growing annoyance and a little dread. She squints back to Gull.
"You shouldn't have many problems. Homura's out, and the others haven't mentioned having any problems. Am I going to have to call a meeting, here?" Hannah does /not/ sound happy.
Pause. "And most importantly: who started it?" Squint at Takashi.
"Just enough to make people happy! Don't get yourselves killed over it!" She encourages, even as a trio of the tiny jerks has Hannah dodging left and right. She's getting good at avoiding lasers, thanks to the like of Nanoha after all!
Mara's berzerker charge nets her a jar full of about ten butterflies. Hannah gives a grin. "Don't worry about it! There's way too many to catch! En guarde, you butterfly scum!"
Four of them offer more lasers to Mara, then turn around to blast away at Takashi with a deeper, blue beam after spending a few seconds charging!
Gull's feather storm makes a nice, wide cone of falling, dead butterflies. They dissolve into magical sparkles that lend even more beauty to this natural place, but those involved likely don't have much time to appreciate it. Gull's wind draws in a good half dozen into the jars!
Riventon's blasts further reduce the creatures, and Tsubasa's blue energy sword slice and dice quite a few of them. The whole number is quickly reduced to half, thanks to everyone's combined efforts. MIss White is notably using the time to get in close, swinging around that net like a madwoman. It glows with her own magic, as she does things the old fashioned way until she has a full jar.
"Alright! Time to..."
The remaining swarm of butterflies glow, and then, seem to turn to dust as one. They fly up, before finally reforming into a much, much larger version of their miniature selves. It's wing span is at least fifteen feet as it lazily flies about the area. As it drawns in energy, Miss White is quick to get between Gull, Takashi, and the huge green beam that slices a five foot rutt into the ground as it makes its way towards them! Pulling her hand back, there's a ker-chunk as she loads a Cartridge, and then she punches the laser hard! Wind fights with magical butterfly laser, sending her Barrier Jacket fluttering!
"Hit that thing with all you've got, try to bring it down so we can capture it!" She yells to the others.
Mara gets lasered some more, and three out of the four hit her. Two in her left leg, below skirt level, and the otherone kind of heating up the plate of armor covering her chest.
If Mara eyes could turn red, they would, but they don't. She grips her axe firmly in her right hand with two more holes in her body, along her leg. "Now I am going to have to stitch that up as well!" Blood oozing from the two holes...
"Miss White! I demand payment for what I am about to do!"
Mara jumps into the air, and tumbles slightly to where she is upside down, landing on the top of the cavern as the force of her jump causes her knees to bend. Mara then launches herself at the youma's back, which happens to be facing upward, maybe? She holds her axe over her head, and swings it downward with a trajectory at the youma's head, if it will even damage the darn thing!
"Die you lousy, hole, causing, insect! These holes hurt!" Mara is bleeding, and her movements do seem to be getting a little more sluggish from the damage she has taken as well, but that doesn't mean the axe won't hurt!
Cure Gull puts the jar on her side. It clips there magically like her PreChanMirror Case. "Nrg.. I wish I had some way to stop it...like... bind it or freeze it...."
She pauses a moment. "Wait...I do.. have that." she sort of facepalms. She looks at Hannah expectantly. "I haven't been bothering Riventon, so it's gotta be someone else!" she insists. Ugh, why does everyone blame the Pretty Cure for fighting evi--oh right.
She sighs. "ANYWAYS..." she says as the thing has formed into a massive monster version of itself--
"Form Change!"
<Rollin' Mirror Change!> <Blueberry Waltz~>
There's a flash of blueish light and Gull's now in some sort of fancy ballroom get up. It's elaborate.
She throws her arms out to either side and then brings them forward and spins them around one another as if winding something up. "Gull Twinkle Storm!" she calls out, and then fans her hands out as blue sparkles begin to form around her 'winding'-- a freeze wind being thrown out at the creature- trying to freeze large portions of it and either stop it from moving or keep it pinned and hopefully not dead!
She's trying to time it so this comes after everyone elses attack--as it should be considerably weakened by then.
Riventon's eyes go wide for a moment as he picks up on the incoming threat of the the charged beam. He's not foolish enough to block it - even if he could, that'd be a waste of energy. He moves to duck out of the way, but instead of just shifting out of the way in -this- dimension, he shifts into the Dusk Zone, and comes out of his movement a bit across the room.
Unfortunantly, the beam keeps going, and slams into some fancy-looking equipment. Which promptly creates a small explosion.
As the creatures coalsece... now Riventon is upset. "I WAS GOING TO USE THAT!" he shouts out.
<HITZEWELLE!>
So much for saving his energy - black power flows into his gauntlet, he brings his hands together, and unleashes a wave of black fire, searing through the air in an arc, flaring out towards the combined monster.
Tsubasa dashes aside as the beam comes towards them, taking a good look at the target and giving miss White a firm nod as to the whole 'hit it with all you've got strategy, running up and along the wall as she tries to avoid being too easy a target while she sets this up.
"Come see the mercilessly burning flame"
"Fall and perish at Kagura?s wind"
Then her massive sword shrinks back to being a katana, which she holds firmly before pulling at it in a way that creates a second, mirrored but otherwise identical katana. They both ignite simultaneously.
The brilliant pangram cuts through the darkness"
"Let us forge ahead in our color"
"Our firm determination"
Then she jumps, the blades on her feet unfolding and likewise setting themselves ablaze, the fire proving enough energy to keep Tsubasa in the air as she spins towards the youma as a living inferno, the swords inside the flame still sharp and providing an edge to her fire.
"Gives our souls the resilient courage"
"The bond between us drives the ultimate shining..."
After the attack, she crashes into another piece of expensive machinery, something she believes Riventon to have been eyeing. She doesn't make it obvious that her landing site was picked that deliberately, however.
"Hey! You already get Puella-hazard pay, Mara! Don't get greedy!" Shouts Hannah right back. Sorry Mara, no pay jump for you!
The leap is perfectly timed, right over that huge laser beam bisecting the ground. Mara lands perfectly, and that laser soon starts to tilt away from the group as her weight is a burden on the rather fragile looking butterfly! Down her axe falls!
Right at the same time, a massive wave of black fire rips through the creature thanks to Riventon as he mourns the loss of the equipment! Gull's transofrmation into a ballgown-wearing magical girl has Hannah pause. Blush. /Blush/! So elegant! She kicks away the remnants of that beam aimed for the pair, thankfully apt enough to not crush more equipment in the process. Her barrier jacket is lightly on magic fire.
Freezing wind encases fire, axe, and likely Puella in ice. It actually manages to burn and freeze at the same time. The obvious happens: the thing falls like a rock, and shatters into pieces, further bisected and melting thanks to flaming, sharp katanas that Tsubasa crashes into the thing with! Miss White leaps forward, trying to detach a most likely frozen Mara from smacking into the ground. A Hannah body cushion!
OOMPH! "....Sounds like I need to speak with Blue and Firebird." She says, exasperated.
"Everyone alive?" There's pieces of butterfly /everywhere/! Pause.
"Heeeey! People, stop being idiots and destroying the equipment we're here to get! Jeeez!" Tsubasa gets one heck of a glare.
Riventon turns after the combined attacks rip out, and he stops letting his emotions get the best of him. Right. Equipment and greivances. And then he grumbles.
"Oh, the Firebird is yours too?" he asks, gritting teeth. "It's mostly Miss Blue - she likes sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong - but really, she doesn't seem to understand we're on the same team and it's not her business to stand in MY way."
Riventon walks over and inspects some of the equipment. "I mean, we are still on the same team, even if some of my actions might have... drawn a little fire. Oh well, can't make an omelette without breaking eggs." he says, and then he turns. "But I've done my level best to make those eggs not be yours, same for my people. We made an agreement and I want to stick to it. But I can't if they keep interfering."
"I would rather not have both of our plans drug down by internecine warfare." he says, and the two shadows from before come in, pulling out equipment Riventon has designated.
Mara's axe only makes it about an inch into the youma's head when she starts to get frozen! "What?!" She looks surprised, then look to Gull for a moment, as she tries to pull her arms and axe away from the youma. "Wait!"
Mara falls with the youma, and the youma gets shattered. She is on her butt with dark fire melting the ice along her axe and arms, but she herself is also on fire!.
Mara starts to roll around to put out the fire, "Stop, drop and roll! It burns! ****IT!" Luckily Mara had dropped the jar next to everyone when she went in for her assault on the youma!
Blueberry Waltz is most elegant when she's a ballroom dancer, yes. She does however wince. "Awwww--- darn..." she mutters. "So-sorry it isn't alive I don't think unless it's just resting!" she says. She sees that it is in pieces. She looks at Hannah and blinks... and then winks~ Wink!
Yeah she's teasing, leave her alone with her teasing~
She frowns.. "Ugh.. H--hey Riventon, I'll stick around and help you dig out useful things okay!?" she says. "I'm sure there's still some things that are not utterly destroyed here yet." she mutters.
She nods. "Oh-- so it is Miss Blue. Meh." she says.
She looks over at Mara. "Are you okay Mara-chan!?" she says.
She walks around the apparently dead youma and sighs. "Sorry we didn't get it alive White-chan. At least it's corpse is still here and not dust?" she asks. "So that's.. something. Right?" she asks hopefully.
She looks over to Tsubasa and purses her lips. "Thanks for the help!" she smiles.
She looks between Hannah and Riventon and nods. "I don't try to go out of my way to get in your way Riventon but we already talked about that once." she smiles. "--and if you think I am-- well. "I minimized environmental damage." Tsubasa responds calmly to Miss White, with a tone that suggests she really did have alternatives that are far more destructive. She sounds quite businesslike, really. "My standard operating paramaters prioritize destroying the adversary over preserving the environment, and my strategies and attacks are designed with those priorities in mind." It's a deliciously vague way of talking about it, carefully excised of all secret data while still serving to explain herself.
She doesn't quite help with extracting the equipment, but she keeps her hand on her katana in case there are any more unexpected surprises. She smiles thinly at Blueberry Waltz, "You're welcome."
There's a visible facepalm. "Damnit. Alright. Yeah, I get it. I mean, I have some do-gooders on staff. You're going to get a bit of fire anyway, it's bound to happen. Do what you have to do to keep your plans running, Riv. But I'll have a talk with her, tell her to lay off so much. Knowing her, it'll be a pain, but I can at least get her to back off a little."
A nod. "Yeah, hazard of doing the business. But I agree, it won't help either of us if we start fighting. I mean, don't get me wrong, I /love/ fighting you. But I don't want a war."
A cocky grin.
"Bill me for any expenses she's caused. You probably need a little proping up right now anyway, right?"
Still, she'll definitely need to investigate. She /knows/ Riventon. Probably half of this is stuff he started in the first place.
Thankfully, Mara is alive. Sigh. She reaches into her barrier jacket, and pulls out a fire extinguisher. She aims, and then pulls the trigger on the hose. FWOOOOOOSH! Foam all over poor Mara. And then she throws water on her for good measure.
/Sigh/. "Well. At least people are alive. And yeah, we do have something to recov..." There's a brilliant light, and the body is gone. All that's left is a floating sphere of magical energy, glowing yellow. Miss White's eyes go wide.
"The heck? Come to momma!" Another jar, and that energy ball is put away.
"Hey, we didn't get out empty handed Gull! Yeah, I'll help too Riv-kun. Who knows how long this place will remain stable. I'm already detecting dropping levels of dimensional stability. Move it, everyone! Either get running, or help us out and get out of here!" She offers to the others with mild urgency. She's digging up what looks like a magical blender. It's tossed to Riv.
Tsubasa gets a /scowl/. "Well you might want to re-evaluate your tactics when we're on a SALVAGE MISSION!" Grrrrr! She'd dock the woman's pay, if she were getting any. "Come on. Let's get going!"
Rumble rumble rumble.
"Definitely time to get going! I /hate/ load bearing youma!" Yoink! She grabs one more computer, and she waves the others to get going, as she's already hoofing it to the exit.
The fact that Hannah offered to 'give him a little propping up' wouldn't sting so much if he didn't know that she actually didn't MEAN for it to sting, and if he didn't need the help. Still, "We'll be fine. Just a minor setback. It was a good excuse to get rid of some non-essentials. You'd be surprised to see how it's running - Helix has it operating a bit like an orderly hive." he says.
"If the damage was only monetary I wouldn't be bothered - it's the delays in research and time that eat me up, you know. The world's not gonna wait for me to explain to your employee she's being a moron."
Riventon reaches into his pocket and smashes out a few more shadow youma, who move around rapidly, tearing what they can away and out of the dimension. The stacking earlier helps. "That one's not worth your time. She's far less important than she thinks she is." Riventon says, inclining a head at Tsubasa. Then he follows his little horde of helpers out the door.
On the other side, he sets up a Dimensional Transfer, sending the pile of stuff on to his Headquarters for sorting and repair.
Mara, gets extinguished and watered. She blinks a couple of times, then jumps to her feet. "huh?" She feels a little odd, then starts to run for it, catching up quickly to the others.
"Next time one of your missions has me turned into a type of cheese! Warn me!" She stares at the back of Miss White's head as she keeps running.
"Miss White! I need to talk to you some times in the next few days if you are available!" Mare even seems to be a little stressed, probably due to pain as she doesn't want to dull it out so that she remembers it, and doesn't go bleeding in front of everyone at school!
Blueberry Waltz sighs and as the place begins to thunk and fall, she motions to Mara. "Come on Mara, I don't wanna find out what happens to places like this when they collapse, but I bet it has something to do with being expelled into the void or something and I reallllly am in no shape to fit Cthulu or something, come onnnnn." she says as she begins to run along.
She has her jar of butterflies!
"I did, but there's limits to how much I can adapt on the fly, ma'am." Tsubasa responds calmly to Hannah, and doesn't seem to think that's all that important. As she walks out behind Riventon, she says with no apparent sarcasm. "Can't be much less important than a simple footsoldier like me, sir. I don't know where you got the idea that I think I'm important. If I was important I could have gotten away with answering your questions, as it is, classified means classified, nothing I can do about it."
"Yeah, sure! Tell the current gimp in the party that they need to hurry up!" She run limps to the exit. Once she is close enough, she dives through it to freedom!
