Gym Class. Potentially Sierra's least favorite class. Still it needs done and so she is dressed for gym and awaiting whatever type of horror the gym teacher may have in order for her and the others. Flying a few inches above her right shoulder is a little chara dressed in old pilot's garb.
Today in Gym class, the worst possible thing! Time to climb the rope!! The this rope dangles down from he gymnasium cieling and one by one, her classmates are going up either succeeding or failing to conquer the horrid rope.
Sierra is shaking. She hates this idea. She hates having to climb. She hates the heights! Kit looks at her, "Yall need to calm down. It ain't nuthin! Think about it, you were high above the clouds just yesterday. This ain't no thing!" The very pronounced Southern american accent is definitely present in the little chara's voice.
Well, this is new. Kukai hadn't seen Sierra since several days ago, and now here she is with a fully produced Guardian Chara and everything. Huh. There hadn't been time to talk to her about it, but there would be. For now he's on the ground, cheering her along. "C'mon Sierra! You can do it!"
Daichi is watching both of them closely, Sierra and Kit, cheering as well.
Sierra steps up to the Rope and closes her eyes, "Okay, I can do this." she lets her mind drift a little. She pulls herself up a little. The first thing she does is look down.
Kit flies up. "Don't go lookin down there! Look up here! Look at me! Come on!"
She is listening thankfully as she looks up and begins climbing. It takes her a few minutes but, she does make it. At this point the whole rope is shaking from her.
"Look where your at! You did it!" Kit happily flies around her. "Now just climb on down! The hard part is over!"
Kukai Souma calls out to her. "Don't look down! You can do this under your own power! Just keep hold of the rope and look at it and work your way back down! Foot, hand! Foot, hand!" It helps that he's been cheering everyone who's looked nervous on the way up and that he made his own climb look like he was going up and down a ladder, but he's still trying to help keep Sierra from falling and hurting herself. "Come on! Ganbare! One movement at a time! You're almost home!"
Sierra Earhart carefully makes her way back down. She is being very careful not to look down. She did do this under her own power thankfully. A minute later she puts her feet on the floor. Immediately she returns to her previous spot and sits down. Her body is shaking wildly and her face is white as a ghost. "I... I did it?" She asks in almost a whisper.
Kit follows her, looking very worried about her. She lands on Sierra's shoulder and smiles, "Yeah ya did it! I didn't help you did it all by your lonesome! You're gonna be a pilot yet!" She cheers to her and then looks around. Oh look another Chara. She flies over towards Daichi, "Hiya! I'm Kit! Hows it goin?!"
Kukai grins and kneels down next to the pile of ghost girl on her seat. "Yeah, you did it. Congratulations. It didn't kill you to be above the ground." He reaches over, patting her on the shoulder. "You sit here for a minute and calm down, I gotta go cheer on the next couple of people too." He heads back over to the rope and begins calling and cheering for the next teen to go up.
Daichi stays over with Sierra and grins, waving to Kit. "Hi! I'm Daichi! You're new, huh? Have you met the other Guardians yet?"
Sierra peeks up at Kukai and gives a little smile and a nod. She does as he tells her and stays seated and tries to calm down. She lets her mind drift to the world above the clouds. Sure she was in that mind set a few minutes ago but now its not being broken by a shakey rope. She just closes her eyes and breathes nice and deep.
Kit smiles and nods, "Oh yeah! I'm totally new. I'm hot out my egg and ready to kick the tires and light some fires! I showed up yesterday! Sierra was finally ready." She giggles a little, "I ain't met any of the other Guardians yet. I met a few people last night. It was fun! Got t' go flying and that is my idea of a good time!"
Daichi just... blinks at Kit. "Kick what? Light things on fire? Hey, don't do that!" He bobbles around, confused, but then grins at Kit. "Oh so you can fly too? Kukai and I can doo but he has to have his board to do it. And we'll have to get you to meet the other Guardians as well! Kukai is the Jack - the King's right hand man."
It takes several minutes for the rest of the class to get up the rope or fail, some of whom have as hard a time as Sierra, but finally gym class is dismissed as the final class of the day. Kukai moves back over towards Sierra, Kit, and Daichi, then leans over to look at Sierra. "...Did you faint when you sat down? Or are you just asleep?" He pokes her shoulder, leaning over her. "You in there?"
Kit laughs a little, "You're alright." She smiles, "I fly, I dunno about her. She's too scared. I had t' do a change just so she would be brave enough to fly yesterday with a friend!" She smiles softly, "Oh thats sweet! I can't wait t' meet everyone else.
Sierra looks up and gives a little smile. "No. I umm... I'm scared of heights. I freeze up. I shake and I just freak out. Its a nightmare for me. When I was little I fell and broke my arm. I've just not been able to shake it. Then, Kit showed up yesterday. I am still getting adjusted to all of this. I'm not used to seeing her or any other Charas. This is all way over the top for me."
Kukai nods and then reaches down for Sierra's hand. "C'mon. Wanna go for a walk and talk things through? It's complicated, but I can help you figure it out if you want." He grins, that famous, self-confident, self-assured grin, filling the air around them with warmth and bolstering her faltering spirit. "You can beat your nightmares if you find the right way to fight them."
Daichi ooohs and then laughs. "Oh wow! You know I haven't ever had to force Kukai to change? I don't get it! He and I work so good together." He nodnodnods. "Yeah! Kiseki and Temari and Ran and Miki and Su and Eru and Iru and Yoru and everybody!"
Sierra Earhart smiles and nods. She stands up, taking Kukai's hand and gives him a smile. "I've learned to fight it a little better. It takes some doing but I can fight it. Its how I was even able to begin to climb the rope. I put my mind in the most peaceful place I've ever seen. The Sky. When I seen the world above the clouds, I fell in love with it. It just made me feel at ease. Like everything in the world was right."
The new chara just smiles and nods, "She needed it. She'd of never agreed to go flying and would of missed an opportunity to see something she loves." Kit smirks and laughs a little, "Wow there are a lot of em ain't there?"
Kukai nods, walking along with Sierra and grinning. "Huh. I'm usually pretty calm myself, but I guess I never fell out of a tree and broke my arm either. It must've terrified you, but..." He looks over at her for a moment. "It's in the past now. It might happen again, but it won't if you're careful. Why does it keep scaring you so much that you have to go to a place in your head for it?"
He thinks, rubbing his chin. "I guess I get it, though. I feel at ease when I'm playing soccer - well, kinda. I'm running around like crazy though, but my heart's light, my head's clear.. I get that. When you're doing something you love, it's easy to get along."
Daichi ooohs and then laughs. "Those are just the ones I know! There's more than I don't know, I bet! It's just a matter of finding our new friends! But not all of them are friendly..."
Sierra winces a little. "I've been struggling with it all my life. Whenever I get a little off the ground I feel like I'm falling. I just hope I can shake it on a more permenant basis. I want to fly with all I am, Probably why Kit showed up." She continues walking along and she gives a little smile, "I gotta track down Hoshina-san. I Sorta owe her an apology. She told me about the Heart's Eggs and the Charas the other day. I didn't believe her. I believed that she believed it. I couldn't accept it but now, things changed. She was warning me to avoid Easter."
"I guess any kid could have a chara! I mean they all heart's eggs right?" She smiles a little. "I think it'd be nice to meet some more of them. Even if they are not all good, it means we get t' make new friends!"
Kukai Souma nods. "It must be hard to deal with. Don't worry. There's enough of a support group where you can take your time doing what you feel like you're comfortable with. And you may never totally shake it. What's important is that you learn to deal with it up here." He taps his head.
Kukai grumbles a little at the mention of Utau - seems he doesn't want to think about her just this second. "Yeah. Stay away from Easter. They're bad business. And..." He shakes his head. "I guess you can apologize to her if you want."
The conversation changes, and he nods. "Yup. There's all sorts who've got Guardian Charas. And other sorts of magical girls and boys too."
She nods slowly, "I know if I can put myself in that peaceful place I can get past my fears. Its just staying in that mind set that is really hard." She smiles a little and shrugs.
Kit flies over and smiles to her, "Don't worry so much. Ya'll will get there! As long as you believe in me, I won't give up on you!" She smiles happily and flies around a little.
"Oh I met a few of them last night. I met umm, Cure Gull, Two people with these weird devices, and another person. We all hung out last night. They explained a little to me about the different types of mahou around here. I'm not used to all of this yet. We didn't have mahou in the states."
Kukai Souma nods. "As long as your head and heart are in the right place, you'll be fine." Kukai grins. "She's right. If you believe in your dreams, they will come to you eventually."
Kukai's head comes up at that name. "Wait. You meet Gull and... Miss White, too, yeah?" He grumbles. "Humph. I gotta find her at some point, but don't you tell her that. .... so do you have any questions left?"
Sierra smiles and nods, "Yeah, Its just really hard to do sometimes. When I see my fears and they are so opposite of my dreams. Its easier to be afraid then it is to believe I can go beyond those fears to where I actually want to be."
She shakes her head, "No. I've not met Miss White. She wasn't there. It was only Gull and two others." She thinks for a few minutes. "Ummm, actually I was warned about Easter but not why. I was told to just keep clear of them. Also I heard, what I think was one of Utau's charas speaking of taking heart eggs. Who would do that. Stealing the dreams of others sounds... evil."
Kukai Souma hums as they walk along the route through the school. "Well, classes are over - we should head to the lockers. I got patrols and things to do - you can come along if you want, or we can go get some food and keep talking." He nods. "It's complicated, but yeah, Easter is using Utau's powers to steal heart eggs. I think she wanted yours before Kit hatched. It would've been very powerful for whatever they're doing."
Sierra Earhart blinks a few times, "The Embryo. That is what they are after. That is what Utau told me. They want this Embryo thing for some reason and I honestly haven't a clue what it is or anything about it besides that." She looks around trying to figure things out. "Me? On patrol? What would I be doing on Patrols? I mean Its not like I can do much of anything." Kit rolls her eyes and just frowns over that. " I guess I could come along."
Kukai Souma nods. "The Embryo is.. well, it'll grant the wish of whomever holds it. It's more than that though. For now, don't worry about it."
He grins. "Well honestly I guess I can blow it off tonight. Things will be quiet for a bit now. We could go get something to eat, then?" He points at her for a moment. "And don't ever say you can't do much of anything. That is the best way to upset Kit, there. You can do whatever you want to."
Sierra Earhart Blinks a few times, "Wait what? Why would me saying something affect her? I mean its just the way I see myself. It doesn't have anything to do with Kit."
Kit is immediately right there, "Stop it would you?! You really don't know do you?"The little chara just shakes her head, "When you say that stuff you pretty much deny your potential. You weaken your dreams. I'm the manifestation of your potential and dreams. If you don't believe in me, I'll disappear." She frowns and just flies off for the time being.
"Oh no. I'm so sorry kit!" She frowns and shakes her head. "Souma-san, i dunno how to not say that sort of thing. Its how I've felt for so long."
Kukai laughs, then nudges Sierra. "See? Daichi, stick with Kit, make sure she's ok." Daichi nods and flies off after Kit, following the little pilot. "Kit is an idealized vision of who you wanna be when you become what you want to be. Like she said, every time you deny your dreams or lose faith she gets weaker."
He lets out a small laugh. "Character Bearers are a little different from other types of magical girls and boys. We don't tend to take a lot of damage and what we do take heals quickly. But if something magically attacks our belief in ourself it can knock us out of our Transformations instantly. Also we get a lot more tired than other people a lot faster - being Transformed is exhausting." He grins. "I'm really glad I've spent so much time working on my stamina! I was able to keep it up for... well, a long time, once." He looks away, a frown crossing his face.
"It's just important that you realize now, your emotions are a lot stronger and mean more now that you have this power. You'll want to always keep yourself positive as much as you can, and believe in the idea that you can become who you want to become, even if you don't know who that is right now. OK?" They've gotten back inside now to their lockers, and Kukai is pulling out a plain olive green backpack from his locker, shouldering it. "So... what do you want to do tonight?"
Sierra Earhart listens carefully. This is a lot to take in. She looks at Kukai nervous. That is until he says Transform. This catches her off guard. "Wait what? Kit did something called a Character Change on me, Is that the same thing? I mean It was really weird and I was acting the complete opposite of how I normally would." She states as she considers everyhing.
She continues listening about her emotions. That is really a tricky area for her. She will get it though, Eventually. She smiles and nods, "I understand and I will do my best to do that. I kinda like having Kit around and I don't wanna lose her. Even if she is really excitable." She smiles a little and shrugs, "I haven't a clue! I sorta feel like I'm swimming in all of this new information."
Kukai Souma huhs. "I thought she said you went flying the other night. Did someone take you flying under their power, or did you fly yourself? And yeah, a Change is like that. A Transformation is even more so, with.. well, I'll show you eventually."
Kukai pats Sierra's shoulder. "Good! It's good that you're working well with her. And maybe we should just take the night off and go talk things over. Maybe I can find one of the other Guardians or somebody to talk with you."
Sierra Earhart nods, "We did. Umm another of the girls there took us up. I have no idea what a transformation is. I mean I seen some of the girls last night transform. Gull and a few others. It was cool to see but really weird. This stuff just isn't normal in the States. I've never heard or seen any mahou types there.
She gives a little smile, "Umm I guess its just strange having her around. Its not something I ever thought possible but she's kinda fun. I wish I were more like her to be honest." She blushes. She gives a nod. "I have a little homework but I agree. I can get through it quick enough. Just some Physics stuff. Maybe that would be a good thing though. I'm game."
