Another day, another dollar, and a gruelling work-club-and-school schedule that has truly been grinding down on Hannah. The magical girl is currently in her office, face-down upon her desk on a pillow. Boris in his human form sneaks about quite well for someone so large, picking up half-done reports to be finished by either himself or some unlucky intern. Then, the massive ruffles her hair, and sneaks back out. Sitting down in his seat, Boris yawns, slurping a cup of coffee suited for his large frame, and then typing away.
Secretary Viktor sings an old russian work song as he works away, phone nearby, awaiting any calls!
There's a shadow in the window. It looks almost... feline? Surely not. Not up this high. Even a cat wouldn't be stupid enough to climb up a building that high. Apparently no, they wouldn't. What it is, is a tiny humanoid just big enough to rest in the hand. Dressed in black, with cat ears, a tail, and large hand- and foot-paws. It's fine though. Most people inside seem to be oblivious to his presence.
He's floating around the building, as if looking for something. He seems to find it as he peers into Hannah's window. "I found her, nya!"
And in the next instant, another form leaps from a neighboring building, landing lightly on the small ledge on that level. This is a more recognizable-- and more visible-- form. Human-sized, with cats' ears and a tail that match his blue hair.
As he finds the apparently sleeping Hannah, he taps on the window. Tap. Tap-tap. Tap-tap-tap. That's bound to look weird. But hopefully someone, if not Hannah, opens the window and lets him in. Because hanging out here for long would be a bad idea, with the higher winds.
Tap-tap-tap! The constant rapping on her office window slowly has Hannah emerging from slumber. Slowly, she gets up, and walks over to the window!
The window opens, and she scowls.
"Kisuke-san, what did I tell you about being so hard on the windows!? You are supposed to clean them, not scuff them up! And you should be at home anyway, the wind out there is dangerous!" Comes the girl, hands on her hips. Frown!
Clearly she hasn't realized this isn't her window washer outside. Downsides of not having her Device on right now!
She still manages one heck of a glare though.
One of Ikuto's ears flattens, an expression of confusion. Obviously Hannah thinks he's someone else. But at least the window's open. Flatly he says, "That's why you should let me come in, so I don't fall off this very small ledge." That is not Kisuke's voice. That is, in fact, the voice of Ikuto Tsukiyomi. How did he get out there?!
Once the window's open he'll climb in, followed by Yoru, avoiding Hannah so he doesn't hit or run into her on the way in. Hopefully the office isn't quite so suffused with dark energy as the testing and holding area for those Witches and Familiars was. Once he's safely on the ground the ears and tail disappear.
The girl pauses, her face softens, and there's utter silence for a moment. Cue another awkward time for the girl, and then she pushes a wide smile on her face.
"Ikuto-san! You know, normal people just use a bloody elevator!" Then she's reaching out to help the cat-boy in , then shutting the window.
"How did you even...nevermind. I probably do not want to know."
A little sigh, and then she's pushing around a chair for the young man. There's coffee being poured too as she yawns. Streeeetch.
"Want some?" She offers, before a spoon rings against her coffee cup with the company's name on it.
Siiiip.
"Anyway, what brings you here today, Ikuto-san? Do you always just appear at someone's window? You should try out for a play or two, you would make a good Romeo." Teases the Director, winking in his general direction before flopping right back into her chair, feet soon up on the desk. Coffee slurp.
"What can WPS do for you!?"
Thankfully the area seems devoid of that horrible feeling. Whatever shielding Miss White is using down there, it works like a charm. It feels like a normal office building with employees that like their job, at least on this level. She might be doing horrible things downstairs, but magic aside, she's a talented and thoughtful employer.
For once Yoru's keeping quiet, since Hannah doesn't seem to be able to see him. He might be a troll to others, but he generally doesn't troll his human. Particularly not where he's around someone who he's not sure can see him or not.
Ikuto, meanwhile, remains quiet when the mention of the elevator comes up. But he does smirk, ever so slightly. Coffee? "No thank you."
And then the question of what he's doing here. Ikuto reaches in a pocket and extracts the black feather, undoubtedly bringing some of a similar negative energy as to the creatures below. "A bird-monster was harassing a kitten. It shot black energy from its eyes. Ad it left this behind."
For all that Hannah seems perceptive with her Device on, she's never quite caught on to the little guardian chara. He could be simply too small, dismissed as outlier data in her spell, or that the magical girl has already had enough of her spirit darkened to be unable to detect something so pure as the embodiment of a dream. Odd, given how tightly she clings to her own.
There's a vague thumbs-up as the kitty-boy declines coffee, and then she's sitting. Perking up at the feeling of dark energy, feet go off the desk, and then she takes the feather.
She taps the coin about her neck, and with a small burst of magic, the Device wakes up.
"Wind Divination active. Good morning, Mistress."
"You too, Raging Tempest. Scan the feather, if you would?"
"Area Search! Transferring data."
The feather is sat down on the desk, and then Miss White slips a headphone into her ear from the laptop. With several noises from her Device, the screen shows growing charts. With the tapping of keys, she tilts her head.
"Huh, interesting. A fairly weak youma, it seems like. You find ones like that out in the wild sometimes. But every now and then they actually have someone behind them. Any idea if this one had a master, or was it just a stray? Something weak enough to have to prey on a simple kitten is pretty pathetic. Bet you took it out in seconds!" Seems, at least, that Hannah has confidence in Ikuto.
With Hannah's Wind Divination active, there might be a 'blip on the radar', so to speak, in Yoru's general direction. It's a tiny blip, given Yoru's small size, but as he's floating in the air apart from Ikuto's physical presence at the moment, and he DOES exist in physical space, the wind currents in the room will have to bend around him. But neither Ikuto nor Yoru are speaking up.
"Just a crow," Ikuto replies. "I didn't see any others. Must have strayed from its master. Unless it was acting on its own." It makes a little bit of sense, after all. Cats chase birds, maybe a bird-youma was just ticked and wanting revenge for all the birds that cats have chased down. He doesn't mention how long it took to take it out, or if he'd taken out alone. But neither does he brag.
There's /something/ there! Hannah mmm's, turns, and looks in Yoru's general direction. She frowns!
"...Get a fly swatter." She mutters to herself. Well, at least he's not being directly paid attention to!
Hannah nods twice there, soon typing up a report.
"Oh well, if it /does/ have a master, then it must be either a scout or someone weak. Not too worrying overall, still, worth a report. Thank you, Ikuto-san, I will get this down to the lab. Go talk with HR downstairs before you leave, they will compensate you for your time." At least the woman thinks to pay the man for his work!
"Say, tell me something: you after something in particular? No offense, but you do not exactly strike me as the ambitious type." Really, Hannah finds it a bit odd that the quiet catboy is on the payroll.
And just as Hannah looks in his direction Yoru zips down, behind Ikuto's back, and hides behind his shoulder. The mention of a flyswatter gets a "Nya!" from the Guardian Character, but he continues to hide behind Ikuto. And the young man makes no indication that he heard.
Though it seems that he's being dismissed, so there's that. He nods to Hannah's directions, and then makes to leave. Suddenly she's asking him a question! A very personal question, too. Ordinarily he'd just keep walking, and leave the question unanswered.
But this is Hannah. She isn't like the rest of these people. Still. What he wants is a secret. and even if she's different, she IS working for Eclipse. Which means she could report him to Easter if he gets too uppity.
A long moment has passed before Ikuto finally looks at Hannah over his shoulder. "...What makes you say that?" Feel out the question first, find out what kind of answer she's looking for. Might she have already been alerted by Easter that he wasn't the obedient type? Or did she look up employee records?
Hannah doesn't move, certainly not stopping either the kitty-folks about to leave the office! Ikuto answers her question with a question, and she smiles a bit.
"Where to start...you are quiet, reserved, show not a hint of ambition, no outward signs of love for your job...For someone who works for us in the more, ahem, /active/ portion of the business, you seem pretty lethargic. I mean you obviously bring results, so that is fine, I just find it odd. Only reason I can think of is that you want to find something or someone through working with Easter and Eclipse." Reasons out the woman. At least she doesn't seem to have any notice of 'uppity' behaviour.
Quiet and reserved? "That just means I do my job and don't backtalk the higher-ups," he counters softly. "Besides, if I have no ambitions then what I want can't get in the way of what everyone else wants." He does have a point there. "And someone needs to take out the trash." Particularly when the 'trash' in question is capable of eating hundreds of human beings. And he is dodging around the original question too, by making it seem like he's just an employee putting in his time and going home.
"I never said there were not advantages. Just a bit odd. Oh well, dance around the question all you like. /That/ just makes me more curious." From her grin, she's clearly not convinced. Or she's just projecting. Hard to tell with Hannah sometimes.
"Either way, take care of yourself, okay? Plenty of people who would shoot you in the back around here." An image of her lab partner instantly comes to mind. A tiny little smirk.
"See you around Ikuto-san." She offers warmly as the kitty turns, starting to get to work on reports!
Ikuto keeps quiet when Hannah notes she's only more curious. A smirk. That's fine, let her be as curious as she wants. Even Easter doesn't know why he's there. Apart from his sister being there too, of course. So there's not a lot of information for her to gather, except from him.
As for the mention that there are people who'd stab him in the back? "I always do." To the words of taking care of himself. That said he heads down to the lobby, probably to questions of how he got there. But he has payment to get.
