A quiet dinner between Sierra and Kit has lead the two to be up on the roof of the apartment complex. Its not Sierra's favorite place to be. She's shaking from being up so high. But here she is, no less. Up on the roof. "Are you sure this is the best place to practice?" Sierra asks her little chara. She is honestly hoping Kit changes her mind and suggests going somewhere a little lower to the ground?
Kit shakes her head excitedly. "yeah! This is the best place t' do it! Think about it! If'n ya can't do it here on the rooftop how are ya goin t' do it in the air?" The small pilot states with a smile.
"Alright, Alright. Let me set up the targets." Quickly Sierra sets up some soda bottles at different parts of the roof. She then smiles, "Okay Kit, Lets change!" Immediately her scrunchie turns into a set of goggles and she is ready to go.
Kukai is out patrolling again tonight, trying to locate some of his friends and just watching the city, flying around as Sky Jack. As he approaches the building where Sierra and Kit are working on the roof he recognizes them and descends, trying to stay out of her line of sight while in his magical form.
He lands behind the staircase entry and changes back into his normal form, then goes around and over to the door, opening it and closing it loudly, trying to make it seem like he just came up the stairs. "Hey, Sierra! What're you up to up here?"
"JET STREAM!" Sierra exclaims as she throws a hand forwards toward one of the soda bottles. The sound of rushing wind fills the air as a blast of wind sends the bottle flying clear over the street to the next complex. She winces a little. "Okay I think we are going to need some better targets. This is going to be a slight problem." She blushes a little bit.
She takes aim at another bottle and calls out "JET STREAM!" Again just as the door slams shut. Crap. A gout of wind hits the bottle sending it flying just like the prior one if not a little stronger! She quickly turns around, "Oh umm Sorry! Hey Kukai!" She gives a little smile. "Good t' see ya." Her own accent is quite thick at the moment. She smirks. "I was just doin' a little practice!"
Kukai grins and waves at her, seeing one of the Jet Stream shots as she fires it. "Aaah, good! It's always good to get some training in!" He walks over towards the other side of the roof, where her soda bottles are set up, and hmms. "Huh. Be careful about not shooting these into somebody's window or something. It's good there's an alleyway below!"
He grins at her, then walks back over towards her. "So... how far off can you shoot one of those Jet Stream shots? I mean, does it just keep going until it stops or what?"
Sierra Earhart shrugs, "I've not gotten to really practice and find out. This is my first real training time. I think its about 50 feet for the most effective impact. Then it starts ducking off. Also its why the bottles are empty. These blasts are very strong Like almost hurricane speeds I think." She blushes a little.
Kit just giggles as she watches the bottles go flying. She quickly moves over to gives Daichi a hug and then she speaks up. "This is really cool! She's actually facin' her fears! She's ready t' fight! It'll be awesome!"
Kukai nods, watching, and grins. "I'm surprised you can do them with just a Chara Change! Most of the time I think people have to be in Chara Transform in order to use anything like that. I have to be Sky Jack in order to do anything really amazing."
Kukai watches, thinking. "Do you have really good aim with your shots or do they wobble a little? I mean, have you missed, any?" Daichi eeeks and hugs Kit back, grinning, and watches along with her.
Sierra Earhart shakes her head, "I've not missed yet. I think as long as I am aiming right I am good. I dunno what I can do besides fly as Flying Wings. I mean I can do this. Its something cool though. I mean I get to see the tops of the clouds right?" She giggles a little.
The girl gets a crazy idea, "I wonder..." Quickly she aims at the ground. Clearly not thinking this one through. "JET STREAM!" The gout of wind erupts and launches the girl a good 20 feet into the air with ease. When she comes back down, she is shaken up. A laugh comes out. "Oh my gods that was awesome!" She giggles a little more.
Kukai nods, then grins. "That's really good! If you get fast with those it'll be really impressive! And I'm sure you'll come up with something. I mean I've been coming up with a few new things here and there, but it takes time to do anything like that. You have to give it a chance to develop."
He blinks, then yelps as she launches herself into the air, the backblast on the rooftop rushing over him. He looks upwards to see her in midair and lets out a little cry, rushing forward and throwing his arms open to try and catch her so she doesn't fall 20 feet straight, even in Chara Change! This basically means she lands on top of him. He's soft at least, and through some miracle she doesn't hit his ribs. "What the heck was that?!"
Sierra Earhart winces Yeah the fall hurt but it was fun! "Umm, Sorry? I didn't really think. I just wanted to see what would happen!" She blushes and stands up. "But I think if I transform and do that I... wait. That would be a good thing to do if I am surrounded wouldn't it?" She smiles a little and look around.
Kit looks a little nervous. "Ya ain't invincible girl! Don't do that again unless you're transformed! Unless you wanna go to the hospital."
It's a moment before Kukai gets his breath back and sets Sierra down on the rooftop, backing away. "I... Yeah, I mean..." He shakes his head. "I guess so? Hopefully you won't get surrounded in midair in the first place, though. And yeah, what Kit said. You gotta be more careful, you'll get hurt!"
Sierra Earhart nods slowly, "Yeah, Umm... I don't think I will do that again without need. I might actually have nightmares from doing that. It was pretty oool though."
Kit rolls her eyes and proceeds to smack Sierra upside the back of her head. "Don't be stupid, Rookie! That was a real Delta move. Unless you wanna be a smokin hole, use your head before ya act."
Sierra frowns and looks to Kukai, "Sorry, I didn't think. I should of but I didn't. I won't do that again. I promise." She hangs her head.
There's a faint, nervous laugh from Kukai and he reaches over, patting her shoulder. "It was kinda cool, yeah. Just be careful about it." He grins. "Well... one of the worst things about a fight is that until you're in one you never really think about the sort of crap that happens in it that could go wrong." He sighs and sits down on the rooftop. "My first fight was really, really bad. About as bad as they get, here. And that comes from somebody who has seen the actual 'worst fight ever', which was... not something I'm gonna tell you about here."
He thinks for a moment, then grins. "For now, I guess the best thing I can say is keep faith in yourself and your friends. You'll make it through. But don't screw around and don't get overconfident. Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer."
Sierra Earhart listens and nods to Kukai. There is a lot to learn and a short time to do it for her. She gives a warm smile to Kukai, "Well there is something I could do. Kit? Feel like going for a flight?" She smiles to her Chara.
Kit nods, "Only always! Are you ready to stretch your wings now?" She smirks crossing her arms in front of her.
"Definitely, Care to join us Kukai-kun?" She giggles a little bit. Then with a smirk she looks at Kit and gives her two words. "Lets Fly!" Immediately her heart is open. Kit smiles and winks as her egg closes on her. The egg moves into her heart and quickly Sierra's appearance shifts looking much more like a vintage pilot herself, complete with wings linking her arms to her leather jacket. She poses and smirks before her little light show ends.
Kukai grins and nods. "Is that some sort of a challenge? Of course!" He nods to Daichi. "Chara Transform!" There is a bright, shining light around him for a moment as Daichi's egg enters him, and his clothes change in a wave to the green jacket, ruffled shirt, goggles, and brown pants and boots of Sky Jack!
He looks similar to Wings, more of a cross between an adventurer and a WW1 pilot, where she looks more like a WW2 pilot. Jack grins over at her and makes a motion towards the ground, calling into existance his flying hoverboard, stepping on board. "OK! Anywhere you wanna lead, I'll get there before you do!"
"You are just full of yourself ain't ya!" Sierra smirks and winks, "Well it worked before. JET STREAM!" BOOM! She rockets into the air flying with her arms spread wide. Those wings glistening in the light of the moon. Upwards she goes. Straight up into the clouds. She flips over and takes in an amazing view of the stars.
"I love the view from up here! Its so cool!!!" She flips and goes into a dive. Down into tha few alleyways. She has to slow down because she isn't accusomted to the agility needed to traverse them. Its a lot of fun for her though.
Jack laughs and follows Wings up into the air, just as fast heading straight up! His goggles snap down over his eyes as his scarf and shirt ruffle in the wind, heading up through the clouds with her, looking around as she stops. "It's really great up here, yeah!"
He takes a moment to cruise and look around before following her down towards the alleyways, chasing her through the alleyways. He is more agile down here, since he's used to this sort of speed, so now he's able to catch up with her!
Wings smirks as Jack catches up. "Oh yeah, Sure. Easy t' catch me here! But how about here!" She jets upward, ascending back into the clouds before bringing her arms down almost to her sides. Now she's flying almost like a jet would, cutting through the clouds and just enjoying the night.
Her gaze shifts to see if there is any trouble down below her. Its hard to see from this altitude but its just too nice to be up here. "Gods this is just beautiful. I wish I could be up here more often. Its just so nice and peaceful!"
With a burst of speed Jack rises again, following her up into the clouds again, gripping the tip of his board and watching her rise. He can follow, at least, and he's as fast as she is, or at least close!
He looks down through the city with a more practiced eye, looking around. "Yeah... Doesn't look like anything's going on tonight that needs our presence. Of course, this is just one part of the city. Others are watching over the rest of it. It's nice." He looks over at her for a moment and grins. "Why can't you be? I mean, you can come up whenever you get free, can't you?"
A deep breath of the sweet night air fills the girls lungs. She simply closes her eyes and lets the wind flow through her hair. "This is just perfect." She comments as she lets her imagination fly with her a little.
"I can, yes. Its just really exhausting. I can't keep this up for too long yet. I'm not adjusted yet. This is only the second time I've transformed. I should do this a little every day though. It will help. Maybe build my endurance a little more." She gets a little idea and smiles to Kukai, "Should I try using my abilities a little? I mean Its awesome to fly but I dunno if that will do much when we are bumping heads with Death Rebel."
Jack nods and grins, watching Wings look around with that look of excitement and glee. "Yeah, it's amazing. The view is always so wonderful." He looks back and forth, then stretches.
"Yeah. That's one of my big things - I always train for endurance, and I train a bunch. I..." He shrugs. "There was a point where I was in transformation for like two days. It sucked a bunch. So yeah, I'll always say endurance training is good." He nods and grins. "Sure, use them all you want, this is a great place to train. I'll watch. Heck, aim them at me, I'll dodge."
Wings goes quiet for a moment. Inside she can hear Kit's voice giving her an idea. A moment later. "Okay, Brace yourself." She does a Split-S and accelterates.
"Turbulant WAKE!" A shockwave explodes out from her as she passes by Jack. The wave would be enough to knock a person clear off their feet. It is definitely a nasty little move. Good one though. She flares and slows down. "How was that?"
Jack grins, watching her spin around and accelerate towards him. As she races towards him he reaches down and grabs the point of his board, leaping upwards and raising his board, spinning away from her and letting the shockwave slam into the bottom of his board, launching him away!
He comes to a halt some ways away, breathing faster, grinning and nodding. "That was really good! Very fast!"
Wings smirks to Jack, "Okay maybe we can tag team that move. You got a serious boost of speed off that. If I did that to you in a fight, maybe you could use it to build off of?"
She snickers a little as she continues to think. "I guess That will work for me if I can get close enough. Would that be fast enough to avoid getting the tar pounded out of me?"
Sky Jack hmms. "Yeah, that might be a good idea. It'll be interesting to see! As for you, you only want to use it when you're sure you aren't running into a sword or something. It's really fast, though. I do know that it's fast enough to get you away from a LOT of things."
Wings takes a deep breath. "Maybe something like that could disrupt an attack. Ya know? Knock him off balance so he can't make a solid attack on anyone. It could save someone. Just really nervous as flying into a weapon would be a really bad thing." She thinks a moment. "So the Jet stream attack and the wake. Both could do stuff I guess."
Jack nods, then grins. "Sounds good, sure. We'll see how it goes. The best thing to do, though, is stay safe and alive as much as you can."
He looks around, then nods into the distance. "Let's go cruising, huh? We can enjoy the night at least!"
