Infinity Elementry school has let out for the day. Many of the kids are on their way home unless they are in their respective clubs. One such person has skipped out of club today and is just quietly walking along the campus grounds. That someone is Naomi Yomada. Floating along behind her is Lilac. She has her prechan mirror with her as well but that is in a pocket in her skirt.
All is quiet at this part of the campus. Its nice. Sometimes its really good to get away sometimes and right now is one of those times. Sure tearing things apart in a lab is always fun but right now she has a lot on her mind. Much of that is just the events of the other day. Things are beginning to settle into her mind. She now has a lot of responsibility and she isn't even a teen yet!
Blue is often 'weird'. He does things you would not expect a god to do. Mainly, sitting out in the warm weather on the quiet side of a school campus, in a lovely sun hat, reading a book which appears to be some form of fairy tale storybook. Why is he here?
Well Blue knows where most of the Precure are at any given time. Mostly. He can sense them. It's how he knows whenever Phantom takes another one away. It's sadly, a feeling he's gotten used to.
If Naomi doesn't notice him as she walks by-- or Lilac doesn't get her attention, he'll ring out, voice as sweet as ever. "Hello, Naomi." he says softly, waving a hand out motioning her over as he closes the book and rests it on his lap.
Lilac does happen to notice Blue. She quickly flies over and gives a little wave to him before flying in front of Naomi. "Hey! Blue is overe here! You should probably talk with him! Remember he wanted to talk with you!"
Naomi nods and gives a little smile to Lilac, "Thank you." She turns walks towards Blue. As soon as she is close enough she bows low and smiles, "Hello, Blue-sama. How are you today?" She asks as she rights herself. Its about that point that she notices the book and smiles a little, "Wow. I never thought God would read fairy tales." She giggles a little.
Blue smiles. "I read a lot of things, when I have time- and I like seeing what some friends are up to." he insists- and he's a god. He has all the time he technically wants. "First, point of order. I am 'a' god." he says frankly. "There are many others. Think 'Greek Pantheon' rather than 'Holy Bible'." he says. "However, many Precure still call me 'God' or 'Kami-sama'." he says softly. "Blue is acceptable too." he smiles to Lilac.
"I'm a Guardian Deity. It's my task to protect Earth. I do that through Pretty Cure." he says softly, motioning to Naomi. "That was brave what you did. I hope you're not too hurt. I understand the first fight is always the most hardest. It'll get easier for you." he says.
"I have some things to talk to you about. Explanations, and there's a few rules." he says softly. "But before that, do you have any pressing questions first?" he asks curiously, keeping one hand down on the book.
Naomi smiles a little bit, "Okay, Blue-sama. I just never have met a god before you." She giggles a little and just listens a little. Lilac smiles happily and nods to Naomi. "I guess its just a lot to take in. Physically I am alright. I didn't get hurt. I didn't really get hit. I don't think Namakelder was expecting a pretty cure to show up. I mean he was sorta sleeping a lot. I just acted. I didn't think about it. I was so worried about my mom, I had to help her and I did."
She sits down besides him and smiles a little. "Well, I guess the first question I have is, Why did you pick me for this? I guess the second question is, when I went to my mom after she was freed from the mirror, She didn't recognize me. Why?" She asks. "Also where did the Terribads come from? Why was that Namakelder guy a grasshopper? What was with the mold? Who is the Phantom Empire? And Why are they attacking Earth?" She smiles. Yup. She definitely fits the bill for curiosity.
Haruna Kurosawa listens, as he nods a bit. "Namakelder is a General of the Phantom Empire. He's lazy, and wishes the world would stop and 'relax' despite itself." he says. "That doesn't mean he isn't a threat. He's as dangerous as the others, really."
He nods a bit. "Your desire to help was true. I had no other way to help you. I did what comes naturally for me." he says. "People won't recognize you between your Pretty Cure form or your 'normal' form. It's like a very good disguise you can't see through. Even friends and family." he assures. "Unless you change in front of them. Then, well. That's up to you. You're usually safe sharing your 'identity' with other Pretty Cure. Anyone else... is at your discretion." he says.
"Terribads are the twisted happiness of a person, put into a deep sleep of misfortune." he answers. "Strong sources of happiness will sometimes lure a Phantom General if they're out searching. I'm assuming that's what happened with you." he sighs a bit.
"The 'mold' is Namakelder's ideal world." he says. "The other Phantom Generals are capable of doing similar things with thier Terribads. Hosshiwha turns the world into sweets and pastries, for example." he says.
"The Phantom Empire... I'll get into that in a moment." he raises a finger.
"First. Pretty Cure are legendary warriors who protect a world. There are other groups of Pretty Cure-- not 'made' by me-- but the source tends to be the same. Each have thier own issues. One group protects a world where all the fairy tale characters live, for example. Another is trying to stop a group called 'Nightmare' from obtaining a special item called the Dream Coilet-- which grants it's user a perfect wish." he says.
"You protect Earth." he says softly. "Right now my priority is the Phantom Empire. There's other threats. Other things. But there's other heroes, too, you'll meet. I think you met one already." he asides. "At least two." he says as he trails off a moment, letting all this sink in.
"Understand so far?"
Naomi Yomada nods slowly taking it all in. "I understand. So unless I change in front of people no one will know I'm a pretty cure without me saying something or them actually pieceing it togther. Terribads are nasty opposites to a persons happiness. Generals try to twist the world to how they like it. I am to protect the Earth. I met The Sentinel Spirit and the blue girl..." She smiles a little.
Blue knows this is a lot to take in so he takes a deep breath. "Three hundred years ago, a group called the Phantom Empire- lead by Queen Mirage, appeared and started to try to destroy Earth." he says. "I sealed them within a box, named Axia. Since I didn't feel safe keeping the Axia on Earth, I went to a nearby world, named the Blue Sky Kingdom, where I was friends with the Royal Family there at the time- and left it in thier care- teaching them how to keep the box contained and locked." he says.
"For some reason..." Blue knows EXACTLY the reason why, but isn't going to tell anyone that, frankly. "...the box opened. It let the Phantom Empire out and they took over the Blue Sky Kingdom." he says. "Now they're here again, trying to wipe out Happiness, Love, Hope-- and replace it with Misfortune." he says.
"Queen Mirage hasn't been seen on Earth in three hundred years- but you shouldn't engage her if you see her-- she's stronger than a single Pretty Cure. The more pressing threat would be Phantom. The Pretty Cure Hunter. If you see a man in a white coat with red hair who calls himself the Pretty Cure Hunter, do not engage him alone. If you have friends-- you might be able to overwhelm him though-- Notably if they aren't Pretty Cure. He has problems with fighters who aren't." he says.
"Oresky, Hosshiwa and Namakelder. These are the Generals of the Phantom Empire operating in Tokyo. There's others operating in other parts of the world. But those are the three you need to worry about." he says.
He sighs and crosses his arms. "The rules." he says as he closes his eyes.
"PreCards. If you can fill your PreCard Decor...." he motions to Lilac, who should have that. "You can use thier power to call on a single wish. I will warn you. Wishes can cause as much misfortune as happiness. When it comes time, you should think it over carefully. There's reasons no one has simply 'wished the Phantom Empire away' yet, afterall." he says.
"You must do your best to help people. That's what being a Pretty Cure is about. But sometimes doing your best is all you can do." he urges.
"And finally..." he says.
"Pretty Cures are forbidden from falling in love." he says tersely.
The young girl listens carefully to the tale. "So the Phantom Empire was sealed away until recently. Now they are out and trying to destroy everything. These guy sound really nasty. I'll do my best to not get in over my head, Blue."
"Okay, Don't pick a fight with The Pretty cure Hunter. Nor with Queen Mirage. These are trouble and very dangerous." She repeats back. She is actually taking this all in stride. Its difficult but she is definitely able to keep it all in.
"Alright, Think hard about my wish. Help people and don't fall in love wait what? Why is that a thing? I mean I don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend but why would that be against the rules? Love is actually a strength isn't it? I don't think I could have handled the terribad if it wasn't for the love I have for my mom. I don't really get that one."
Blue shakes his head. "Romantic Love, is what I mean." he says. When asked why, well. "I have my reasons." he says, also, he's god. "Not everyone understands, but it's a rule I expect to be followed." he urges.
It's hard to convey words sometimes. Even for a god. 'I don't want another Queen Mirage'. But he'd worry everyone, with such ilk.
"Lilac will do her best to help you." he urges. "Not every Pretty Cure gets a partner, but I do my best." he says.
Naomi Yomada shrugs, "We'll see how it goes. I can't promise to never fall in love. I will do my best to follow the rule though. "She sighs over that one though. Its really tough. Especially when love is encouraged by her family.
"She's already started teaching me stuff. She told me about the cards when a few appeared after the fight. I do got a question though, Do cards only show up when I fight and win against the Phantom Empire or umm how does it work?"
Blue says. "Cards are created when you fight a signifigant evil force of darkness." he says. "Always when you defeat a Terribad. Sometimes not all the time for other things. Sometimes other things might trigger a card to appear." he shrugs.
"As a warning. The other PreCards don't hide your identity well. Just the main transformation cards." he asides.
"There's some other Precures in Tokyo, but they're all rather busy... Victory, Boost, Tide and Gull. Along with some more personal friends of mine." he says.
"Gull... isn't on speaking terms with me at the moment- but she'd had been the most available." he says curtly. "Maybe her sister might be..." he muses. "Tide."
"Wait I can use the new cards to change?" She thinks for a moment and then, "So If I change with the cards I got from the fight a few days ago I would become a surfer?" Naomi giggles a little because it is kinda crazy to think it would work like that.
"Oh umm, Other Precures? That is actually good. Mabe I can get to know some of them. Why is Cure Gull not on speaking terms with you? That sounds rough. I will keep a look out for the others. For now though I guess I will go it alone. If there are such dangerous threats out there, like Phantom and Queen Mirage, then I wanna make sure I am strong enough that if I do encounter them, I can escape and stuff."
Blue nods. "You can. You'd also be able to surf really well like that, suddenly, even if you didn't know how to before." he smirks, just wryly.
"Cure Gull made some bad decisions. Fell in love with someone who is... not exactly a shining beacon of hope and that person has to do some bad things on behalf of her benefactors." he says.
"Tide's upset with her. I'm merely dissapointed." he frowns. "You'll know her by her strange 'pet'- her partner..." he motions at Lilac. "...is a seagull named Corvus. Her story is a little different from yours, but it isn't my place to tell it. You're better off asking her yourself if you meet her."
"She isn't malicious. I'm sure she'll come around from her foolishiness soon enough." he urges. He knows this isn't true, but he needs to tell himself that anyways.
"Enough of that. Regardless. Is there anything else...?" he asks curiously.
Naomi smiles a little, "Okay I think thats everything. I mean, I could come up with more questions if you want. I'm pretty sure what I say when I transform fits way too well. Curiosity just comes really natural to me. I just like learning about stuff. Especially gadgets and stuff. Even if they sorta blow up sometimes." She laughs playfully. "Do you ever tinker and try to invent stuff, Blue-sama?"
Blue smirks. "That curiosity will serve you well, I think." he says coyly. "As for me, no. Not really. I'm usually too busy handling Pretty Cure that require me to talk to them, and the free time I do have is spent reading or thinking." he insists.
"Speaking of which." he says as he stands up. "I should be going." he says softly.
"Unless there are more pressing questions-- right---"
"If you have need of me. Tap three times on the mirror. Think of talking to me. I'll answer if I'm able." he insists.
Naomi Yomada nods and pulls out her mirror. She looks at it curiously and then smiles to Blue. "I think that is everything. I don't think I have any more questions. Be safe, Blue-Sama." She comments before standing up. "Well Lilac, Should we go see if we can find some trouble or should we just go home and do homework?" She makes a little gagging gesture over that.
Lilac laughs, "Do your homework first and then, when you are done, we can go look for trouble! Just don't get in over your head!"
