It's the next day after a rather traumatic injury. Norie wouldn't have heard from Jia at all when she came back to the apartment beyond a brief moment where she weakly asks if Norie's going to be alright. She moves like she's pretty badly hurt and she doesn't seem at all happy. The next morning though, she can be found in the kitchen, quietly making food and wearing a shirt with longer than usual sleeves. She's moving strangely too, like she's still hurt. She still doesn't seem herself either.
Lacrima came home and began to immediatly cry her eyes out and she more or less completely ruined her pillow overnight because her purple tears stain. She woke up still feeling hazy, sad, but not downright crying. Also. She woke up and she was Norie and she scowled because she didn't activate the disguise and with a little wave it goes away. She really doesn't want anyone to see 'Norie' right now. It's confusing.
She gently stands up and sighs as she picks up her pillow and walks into the kitchen to ball the pillow up as much as she can, use it's case to tie it up and put it into the trash can there. She's already bought a spare. She expected that. She'll need to buy a new one to replace that spare though.
Her eyes look over to Jiaying and she blinks a little deadpan. "Hi." pause. "Good Morning...." another deadpan pause.
"....you're moving weird." she says as she frowns a bit.
Jiaying Maki twists to face Lacrima, not just her head, she turns her whole upper body. She waves with the closest hand and says, "Morning." leaving out any part of the good despite feeling like she should since moving. She doesn't comment on the crying or the pillow or anything else. "What happened?" is all she asks. She carefully lifts her pan with both hands, something she normally wouldn't bother with and sets the eggs on a plate, then grabs a few other things to throw on top of it before sitting down. After she sits, she squirms trying to get comfortable before sighing. "Uh- did you want any eggs Norie?" Realizing she's being a touch rude, pain or not.
There's a pause and she says, "I was hurt again. Tried to stop someone pretending to be a pirate. Turns out knives kind of hurt you know?"
Lacrima shakes her head. "I'm going to go out for breakfast I think." she says. "I have a matter to attend to anyways." she says matter of factly. Like getting into the face of a home wrecker that likes invading labs. Stupid Kyouko Sakura.
She frowns. "I was doing an operation for my employers at the Crystal Group's exhibit." she says matter of factly. The same exhibit Jiaying was fighting at! ..... that Norie was just busy at.
"Some stupid hero was weilding positive magic, though she didn't hit me directly with it, I still don't like being around it and it affects me heavily and makes me think stupid things." she frowns.
Also Tadase didn't help with his yelling.
She frowns. "Hurt again? Were you stabbed?..." she asks.
Jiaying Maki shakes her head and sighs, hearing where Norie had been. "Huh, funny that. If you have a roster, I'm going to let a ghost free in someone's apartment at some point." She shakes her head and leans back in her chair gingerly and settles in, taking a few bites of her eggs, clearly enjoying her breakfast. Exaggerating it even. It's a bad morning when eggs don't chear her up.
With a sigh, she watches Norie and asks, "Think stupid things? I remember-... well." She trails off and instead says, "Almost, It went shoulder to shoulder instead. I think I got it to stop bleeding for the most part though."
Lacrima frowns. "That I have a chance of being human again, but I know that isn't true." she says matter of factly. "Stuff like that." she says. "I'm just glad I wasn't hit head on. They were mostly trying to attack and stop my friend...."
She says quietly. She frowns a bit. "You know I can't do that." she says flatly to Jiaying. "Besides. No one involved uses 'knives', so it must had been someone using the oppurtunity." she says flatly.
"I can tell you that much." she says softly as she sits down at the table and places her hands into her lap softly.
"Do you need to see a specialist?..." she asks.
Jiaying Maki watches Norie at that and says, "I keep hoping for balance, species comes a distant second from there." In response to being human again. She runs her fingers through her hair and says, "So what all was in that display? I got mixed up on accident and tried to help and- the sides were very strange."
Another couple of bites of eggs, which normally cheers her right up and she adds, "Big long knives, offered a job by the blind one." She's forgotten Hannah's name, or she's intentionally l eaving it out, one of the two.
The last question gets a blanch and she says, "I don't want to go to a hospital. Or a vet before you ask."
Lacrima purses her lips. "Yeah, no one I know." she says flatly but also honestly. She frowns at Jiaying. "Not a Doctor or a Vet, but I can take you to..... well. I'd need to call before I can promise anything. I'd probably have to pay for services rendered since you're not an employee but that wouldn't be an issue." she says softly.
She just softly purses her lips. She frowns. "I am balanced." she insists. "I just don't wanna be this thing." she insists.
"I hate feeling high and low and low and then high and then in between and not acting right most of the time. It's inconsistent."
Jiaying Maki puts her head back against her chair after careful maneuvering, then she asks Lacrima, "I think I've hit mostly a dead end in finding anything about the jewelry or your spanish friend. I want to grab a ghost from the area somehow and ask them what they know, what they saw. It's the best way to find anything out at all about it." She stops for a moment and adds, "Maybe they know how he maintained it. He went a while before the weird ones lit him on fire right?"
She's changing the subject about going to a healer of any kind it seems. Though her curiosity gets the better of her and she asks, "Is it for that... company you work for then?"
Lacrima frowns, and heavily. "Poderoso was a man who reveled in the power and had no issue hurting people." she says matter of factly. "So he 'maintained it' probably the same way I need to, just he didn't care." she says matter of factly.
"I dunno." she says flatly.
She head tilts at Jiaying. "Yeah that 'company' I work for I'm going to continue to be vauge about." she insists.
Jiaying Maki drums her fingers and says, "I'll pass unless it starts to smell funny I think- I really don't like the idea of a company like that having a sample of my blood or..." she pinches the bridge of her nose and asks, "What kind of specialist is it. Is it a doctor kind or do they wave their hands around and shake lizards at it for healing?" she murmurs right after, "Auntie's lizard tea was disgusting."
"Wouldn't that have gotten attention sooner then? Was there anyone before him then?" A quick shake of her head and she takes a bite of the eggs before just setting it to the side and slumping forward, head on the table. "Have you heard of any other ghosts or spirits causing problems? I'm going to get more."
Lacrima replies. "...'Magitech' would be the best explanation for where I specfically work." she says quietly. "I understand. That's fine if you don't want me to bother asking my friend." she says quietly.
"Huh? No. Not really." she says in relations to the ghosts.
"I dunno. He seemed to be a lord or something of a village and it wasn't exactly modern times. Really easy to stop the spread of news. Harder now, because internet and all." she says quietly.
"And phones and communication. and all that." she says.
She shrugs. "I haven't... had a dream. For a while." she says quietly. "At all. Voices still there though." she says.
Jiaying Maki watches Norie and asks, "It's a friend of yours that would be doing it?" She's kind of curious what kind of friends Norie has on the... other side? Is that right? That doesn't sound right. Her face scrunches up there in her arms as she tries to think about it. Slowly she sits up, then gingerly reaches up to touch the edge on her shoulder.
"I guess, but at the same time that makes me wonder how it got out in the end. Something to watch out for I guess."
The comment about dreams gets her attention though, out of both her self-pity and wandering thoughts. "You haven't had any at all? Did it seem like the story was done, or do you think it's something else?"
Lacrima shakes her head. "No. But friends of friends. Or a device of some sort. You might not actually see a real person too." she says softly as she head tilts. She purses her lips. "Well the 'Story' was never told in sequence and sometimes it'd just be random things with no importance." she says quietly. "Surely with how long he lived I'd have more dreams. Maybe it's waiting until I'm ready?" she asks.
She just sits there quietly and seems to miserably sigh a bit.
"Probably because once he stopped existing some things had to get out."
Jiaying Maki slowly lifts her head back up and watches Norie, moving a hand to idly scratch at the same spot on her shoulder again. "Ready for what is the question? Is it still trying to do specific things?" She slowly leans back and glances to the sink. Gently easing her way out of her seat, she pushes her way to her feet and begins to carry the plate over to do the dishes. "If you don't mind going slow, do you want to go out for breakfast? If I just sit around, I think I'm going to focus too much on how much it hurts- I'd rather distract myself."
Lacrima frowns. "Well if no one kills me, I'll live forever. So who knows when it'll decide when I'm ready. Maybe next month. Maybe next year. Maybe in fifty years. Maybe in three hundred." she says flatly.
"Well. Like I said. I intended to go out for breakfast because I have things to attend to. But it's not like two breakfasts is going to upset me considering I don't need to eat or get full, so let's go out, sure." she says quietly.
Jiaying Maki rubs the back of her head and says dumbly, "You didn't mean like food kind of breakfast did you." Well, that's kind of awkward. Still, the idea stands and she carefully walks to her room and grabs her shoes. If Norie followed, she also grabbed some pills, some spare bandages and something that smells funny depending on how good her nose is.
Slipping out of her room, she gestures to the door and says, "Let's go? If we're lucky we can avoid a crowd and you won't get ot hear me whimper like an idiot when someone bumps into me."
