Dudes Look Like a Lady

Nadeshiko meets Zoisite. Zoisite meets Nadeshiko (and Temari, and Rhythm). Tadase comes in on this. This may perhaps be the prettiest "getting-to-know-you, and by the way, why did you stab somebody a few months ago" meeting ever.

Date: 2016-08-31
Pose Count: 30
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-08-31 20:22:15 53283
A text came to Nagihiko when Nadeshiko was half way done with her makeup. She responded, though with furrowed brows, informing Mamoru that Nadeshiko would be more than happy to help, so long as the person in question came to the Royal Gardens at Seiyou. Nagihiko is off busy doing...something vague and written so it's not a lie.

(She's not sure if he knows, even though Kunzite has it figured out. But, better safe than sorry.)

School is still out, so it shouldn't be too unusual to see the (former?) Queen sitting at a table in the green house, writing away at the reports she's determined not to let stack up any more. Technically, Nagihiko could be here today, as easily as anything, but she wants to feel pretty. And even though she's been Nadeshiko for the good part of three weeks, being Nadeshiko the performer and Nadeshiko the girl are completely different.

Besides, she got that new skirt the other day, and it's really cute!

And, because Nadeshiko and Nagihiko both are good hosts, she has tea brewing and finger sandwiches to serve. Temari is helping by bringing out the china and setting places up, whereas Rhythm is helping by...not. Nadeshiko has most of the paperwork done, but there's still a small stack left to tend to. Fortunately, it's the kind of paperwork that can be done with little actual attention on it.
Zoisite 2016-08-31 20:31:21 53286
Zoisite does not enjoy walking all the way to Seiyou. In fact, he's pretty against the idea. So he doesn't, instead appearing in an out-of-the-way corner of the gardens, where stray flower petals would not exactly be unusual to see. The fact that it is most assuredly not Zoisite who appears is also completely beside the point.

Instead of being a strawberry blond, today his hair has slanted more to true blond (definitely shapeshifting).

He also, pointedly, took the hint that he would be meeting a girl, and has decided that today he's going to follow that by appearing feminine himself. While his hair is a shapeshift, the other touches are the more low-energy expedient of expertly-applied makeup, a shade of lipstick that appears natural and is almost the same shade as his lips are normally, but definitely pinker, a subtle dusting of both highlight and contouring to give a convincing illusion of a slightly rounder face, and pinker cheeks. His clothing falls in the neutral range, especially given his normally-lean build- it's common for girls built similar to him to have essentially no bust, and he definitely fosters the illusion with light, loose, airy clothing that actually disguises his shape, in colors that could cut either way. His hair is mostly loose, aside from a pair of small braids that are tucked behind his ears.

'Izumi' peers in the royal garden. "Fujisaki-san?" he asks softly, a small smile that doesn't reach his eyes crossing his face. It's a polite smile, at least.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-08-31 20:44:51 53288
Nadeshiko looks up from her paperwork. She blinks for a moment before she answers with an amused smirk. So, this must be what it's like for Kukai, on some level, at least. "Yes, that's me. Inoba-san, I presume?"

Temari floats up and gives Izumi a once over. After a moment of careful examination, she turns toward Nadeshiko and holds up a score card, the number six bold. She's not doing anything to hide what's on it, either.

Nadeshiko snorts behind the back of her hand. She doesn't agree with the score, thinks the disguise is closer to an eight or a nine. "Temari. Be nice, please."

After all, if Mamoru sent her, she must be in the know on magical doings at the very least, especially considering the topic at hand. Odds are, Izumi can see Temari. If not, well, eccentricity is always a good excuse.

As though reading her thoughts, Rhythm floats up and considers the score card with Much Concentration. He takes it, flips it over to a nine, and holds it up for Izumi to see. "Yay!"

Nadeshiko shakes her head. "Please, sit down. The tea is a Jasmine dragon phoenix pearl. Though I doubt that's how dragons or phoenixes taste."
Zoisite 2016-08-31 20:54:15 53291
Izumi raises an eyebrow at Temari and then snickers. It's amusing to have someone rate his ability to at least muddy the waters as to his gender. The blond nods absently to Nadeshiko's question, though something nags him about Temari rating his passing. He walks over with careless, catlike grace that is quite literally that easy, and sits down across from Nadeshiko.

"Your little friends are adorable," he says by way of greeting. "Though I think what I did with Makoto-chan the other night would probably rate higher in her book." He points easily at Temari, twisting a stray curl of hair around his index finger. He surveys the tea with a small smile, glancing between the two Chara Guardians and their Bearer.

Did he just put it together? Possibly. Possibly not. He's not saying for now, instead taking a careful sip of the tea and closing his eyes to more fully concentrate on the flavor. "I've always found that tea purveyors give the most interesting names to their blends." Read as: the fancier the name, the better it sells. Still, it's definitely not bad tea by any means.

"So, I have to ask, is Nagihiko indisposed, or am I dealing with both Fujisaki 'twins'?" He says it casually and lightly, sipping at his tea afterward.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-08-31 21:06:41 53295
Temari gives a haughty sniff. "I'm not easily impressed." She flips her hair and floats over to sit on Nadeshiko's shoulder.

Nadeshiko, in turn, bites her lip to keep from grinning. She could say something about the Wooing Incident with Kunzite, but...

Rhythm, on the other hand, is easily impressed! He tugs over the sugar and cream for Izumi, and then grunts as he tries to drag over a plate of finger sandwiches.

"Little, dynamite, small packages. But you probably already know that if you know the Moon girl." Nadeshiko sighs and gets up to reach for the pilfered sugar, one teaspoon, and just a dallop of cream, thank you. "I also find that sometimes the fancier the name, the more bitter the taste. But sometimes one gets lucky."

The tea cup is halfway to her lips when she arches an amused eyebrow. "Well. On an existential level, Kukai is the only one who's been able to successfully handle the two of us. Well, me. Tadase's a close second, but he's known me longer."

She takes a sip, and is quiet while she savors it. "I'm glad to know Kunzite hasn't told, though."
Zoisite 2016-08-31 21:23:54 53298
"This is very true. It's like with wines- a lot of people will percieve them to be higher quality than they really are if they are given a fancy name, even if they are of truly lower quality." He seems to purr at that, leaning back with his eyes closed. He hums softly. "Though I will admit- not being easily impressed is an occasionally admirable quality, especially when it is accompanied by a critique."

He smiles at the existential pondering. "Well, at the very least, I believe Mamoru could handle you- though not in the same way it sounds Kukai does," he offers with frank amusement laid bare in his voice. "After all, he handles not only Usagi, but the four of us, and pretty much anyone who comes by his place." 'Izumi' rolls a shoulder, sipping at his tea again and considering the flavor.

"Kunzite takes secrets trusted to him very seriously. If it was a matter of safety he might have, but..." Izumi gestures airily, implying that something like Nadeshiko's identity would not be a 'safety' concern.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-08-31 21:34:37 53301
Nadeshiko nods. "And, in all honestly, sometimes the best wines are on the lower ends of cost. Labels are always deceptive that way."

Her cheeks warm, and for a moment he's a very flustered boy! And he tries to reclaim Nadeshiko's voice, but for the moment it's deeper than it had been. "That's not... I didn't mean--"

Finally she clears her voice and sighs. Her head tilts a little as she looks right at Izumi, voice normal again. "It's a rare person who accepts all that you are, even if you don't know who that is yet."

Another sip, this time to regain control over whatever that had been. "Well. When there's a crisis that can only be solved by cross dressing, you have my number."
Zoisite 2016-08-31 21:42:16 53304
Zoisite's smile reaches his eyes this time, the thought of someone who accepts him for all he is striking close to home. He covers it by sipping his tea, but there's something fond, a thought or emotion conveyed in that expression that he is definitely letting the Ace see. "I believe that the Shitennou understand that better than the average person," he says, twirling a curl of hair around one finger as he gently sets his tea down. That 'even if you don't know who that is yet' is more troubling, but not something Zoisite chooses to reveal to Nadeshiko.

"It might be cross-dressing for me," he corrects softly, and then gestures at Temari and Rhythm. "But for you? I won't claim a perfect understanding of your powers, but it appears that all you are doing is dressing as one facet of yourself." There's a wry smile on his face, probably more to do with the stone pun than anything.

He's decided he likes Nadeshiko. Nagihiko. He's probably just going to call both of them Fujisaki when he's being lazy.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-08-31 22:10:02 53309
It's easier to relax some more at that expression, even if it's a choice to be shown. She sighs a bit and nods. "Yes, I can imagine. From what little I know, I imagine you and yours are doing a far better job...readjusting than most people."

And, because such things should be given an easy out, conversation wise, she gestures toward a plate of sweet cakes. "Would you like some?"

For a moment, Temari almost looks approvingly at Izumi. Almost. But she's still stinging from the Wooing Incident. Better safe than sorry with those pretty shitennou!

Nadeshiko, on the other hand, has a light pink blush and a genuine smile for that. (Also, it should be noted that Zoisite has a challenger for Prettiest Boy, especially when Nadeshiko smiles like that!) "It didn't start out that way."

Nadeshiko's deciding she likes this Izumi character, as well.

But! That's not why he's here, is it?

"So. What exactly is going on with the Virtue thing?" She reaches over and pulls out a different file.
Zoisite 2016-08-31 23:44:59 53322
Zoisite's smile thins a little, and gains a bit of a sharp edge. It's not his 'nice person' smile. It's not quite the smile of one of Beryl's Generals, but it's definitely the smile of a predator who has caught scent or sight of running prey. The fact that he is older, and unequivocally male in identity, might be more of a concern if it weren't for the 'prey' he's sighted.

"Fujisaki-san," he leads in softly, letting his tone creep into almost cloyingly condescending, "are you trying to change the topic? Twice? That's not very subtle." Still, he does take a sweet with a murmured thanks.

"We can get down to Virtue business later, but... To be frank, I like you, if not the impression I'm catching about what you seem to think of yourself." How else to approach this sort of topic with someone who is used to putting on two names, two faces, who is as unfailingly polite and noble, well-known for dancing?

Refuse them that advantage, refuse to dance, and become a blunt instrument. His gaze is even direct, level, and distinctly unamused.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-08-31 23:56:17 53326
Whatever her opinion on herself is, she does know where her strengths lie. And though this 'predator' may not be the kind she's used to, this one's never fallen 'prey' to any male before. (Kukai doesn't count.) So she returns that thin smile with one of her own and an arched brow as she leans forward, elbows on the table and chin resting on laced fingers. "Of course I am, Inoba-san. Though not for the reason you may suspect. But since you pointed it out." And she's used to this, switching quickly between personas, because, well, it's almost fun seeing the expression on those stubborn boys who don't take no. So he leans back, props a foot on the table, and sighs, voice deep again. "It wasn't for my sake. That entire...circle of events is complicated to say the least. So, I figured, since even one such as yourself should still be affected by it, I'd give you a way to change the subject. However, thank you for giving me the opportunity to show how awesome I am."

A content sigh, and his fingers lace behind his head.

The smile slowly disappears, but the arched eyebrow stays where it's at. He's not annoyed, perse, though he sees the dodge for what it is. "My impression of myself, and not the masks, has actually improved quite a bit." A bit of a smirk, here. "Besides, isn't admitting you have a problem half the battle? In that point I'd say I'm ahead."
Tadase Hotori 2016-09-01 00:34:30 53332
"Ahead of what?" Tadase asks, as he walks in, Kiseki at his side. He looks up. "Okay, so we do have a guest." he says, looking up at Izumi, a degree of confusion on his face.

"What brings you to the garden?" he asks, a smile on his face, curiosity in his eyes. He doesn't recognize Izumi, and nor did he expect to see anyone here himself. "Kiseki told me there was someone here - I hope I'm not intruding?" he asks, curiously looking left and right between the two.
Zoisite 2016-09-01 00:40:16 53334
Zoisite rolls a shrug. "You still call it cross-dressing. If the impression I'm getting is right, what exactly is the 'cross' part?" He seems unphased by the return smile; after all, he used to live in the Dark Kingdom, where people would often try that tactic.

He looks up at Tadase. "Endy sent me over to talk to you guys about something Virtue-related. I'm sort of hazy on the specifics and was enjoying a lovely fencing match with Nadeshiko-chan here." He smiles at Tadase. "Izumi Inoba- also known as Zoisite," he offers with a casual wave at Tadase.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-09-01 00:55:05 53337
"But 'crossdressing' is much faster and less confusing than to say 'I dress as whatever gender I feel today.' Besides, physically speaking, it's true. I have no desire for permanent change in that regard." Temporarily, of course. For science.

The boot comes off the table, and she's Nadeshiko again. "Tadase-kun!" A bright smile for her oldest friend! "I didn't expect you here today!"

Her eye twitches once at the name. Though she'd suspected, knowing a proper name probably would have helped before hand. Kiseki gets a Rhythm Torpedo in the shape of a hug. Temari pours another cup of tea.

"Double meanings, pressing against boundaries. It's fun." And of course, she's not lying.

She leans forward and gives Tadase a pout, mostly to see if he'll squirm and fidget. Because it's fun messing with Tadase sometimes. "Is Tadase-kun still upset with Kunzite-sama~? How can Nadeshiko-chan make it better?"
Tadase Hotori 2016-09-01 01:12:31 53340
Kiseki catches rhythm, spinning him around from the force before he even realizes what he's doing. Then he smiles, laughing, and the spin continues.

Tadase, meanwhile, looks a bit off at the name Zoisite, before he remembers that Kunzite and Zoisite aren't... bad guys anymore. It gives him hope for a certain tall boy fond of dark clothes and violins. "It's good to meet you, Zoisite. If Mamoru-sempai will vouch for you, that's good enough for me. I'd be happy to talk with you about Virtue."

And then he stops. He stops for a moment, looking at Nadeshiko. He's been friends with her too long for this to work as well as it does, but work it does. "Of course not, Na-chan." he says, a bit hurridly. "Don't
Zoisite 2016-09-01 01:37:38 53345
Zoisite waves a hand. "As long as you think of it that way, I'm satisfied," he offers, radiating every inch the lazy cat. He even closes his eyes. At the sudden change in tone, he restrains the urge to snicker and instead opens his eyes again.

"Very fun, actually," Zoisite adds. He nods at Tadase.

"Same goes for you-- Hotori-kun, right?" He raises an eyebrow, making a mental note to ask Kunzite what went on with the Seiyou guardians, since his name has come up a few times.

"I'm sure he will, when things aren't going completely crazy," he says airily.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-09-01 01:45:07 53346
She gives a light shrug. "I know that much, at least. Not to say there isn't curiosity, but I believe that's a common one." Never mind it would be amazing for her dancing...

Nadeshiko's smile is far too wide and far too amused at Tadase's reaction. Yes, young King, this is the same person you play HORSE with some weekends.(Plus, it really helps the ego.) "Sorry."

She very much isn't.

Then she sighs and her shoulders droop a little as she stares at the unfinished pile of paper. She looks back up at Tadase, feelining Impending Doom creep up on her. "There's gonna be paperwork involved. Isn't there."
Tadase Hotori 2016-09-01 01:54:29 53349
"Hotori-kun is fine. Though I think Kunzite met me as Platinum Royale. Same person, really. The nature of my powers doesn't lend to any disguises, really. But it makes it easier for people to trust me, I think." he says, quietly.

"No you're not." Tadase says to Nadeshiko, but he's smiling. Then, he turns to Inzumi. "So what brings you here, Zoisite?" he asks. "Or do you prefer Izumi-san?"

He looks to Nadeshiko. "There's always paperwork."
Zoisite 2016-09-01 02:03:26 53351
Zoisite nods. "Either is fine- though if I'm looking more true-blond, Izumi is probably safer." It sort of feels backwards from most of the other magic-types- where the magical identity is secondary, the one they aren't called day to day, in their home lives. Granted, Zoisite doesn't exactly remember much from before the Dark Kingdom, which is why Zoisite feels more like his natural identity. He says nothing about how much easier it is to trust Platinum Royale, and shrugs, carefully ruffling out his hair. It's not all at once, but the true blond gives way to hints of color that warm it.

"Of course there's always paperwork." Granted, right now his only paperwork is homework but still... he's sure there will be no shortage of paperwork when Mamoru and the rest of them hit majority. As it is, the fact that they are people who had other lives before the Dark Kingdom nags him a bit. "I'm getting to be the errand boy today, I guess. That's what sent me here." He shrugs a little, nonchalant. "I think Fujisaki-san has more of the details."
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-09-01 02:20:52 53355
Nadeshiko arches her brow and she's amused, not annoyed. "Oh really." And then she sticks out her tongue, but that's more for the 'no you're not' comment.

She has reasons aside from the possible obvious for her words, and most of them can be found in just about every single comic book ever written.

She watches as Zoisite takes down and changes his hair, and she gives a wistful sigh as she watches. "That...looks so very handy."

Still, since they're shedding their scales.

She stands, pulls a pair of slacks out from her purse, slides them on under the skirt, takes that off, and then pulls out her ponytail. They'll have to deal with the makeup for the time being.

Nagihiko scratches his scalp to fluff out his hair before he stretches.

However, he's not truly comfortable until a little shimmy and wiggle happen and off comes the bra.

Hey, even if a shirt can be gender neutral, sometimes adding a touch of curve helps one feel pretty.

He slumps in the chair and woes. For a moment he thinks, then he waves his hand. "Nah. Pretty sure Eclipse has even more paperwork."

He hums in thought and taps his chin. "Well, the one of you I've dealt with the most is Kunzite. He allowed me to attack him. Well, attack at him." A glance toward Temari, then at Zoisite. "I wasn't in my right mind at the moment."

Temari hmphs and tilts her nose again. "Kunzite-sama and I have reached an accord over the breaking of bread." At Nagihiko's double take, she tries to look nonchalant before heart eyes take over. "What? It suits him~."

"Oh good grief...and also, there's that whole HEY!" He turns and points at Zoisite. Because things have clicked into place. "You! Whoppathingadoo! Stabby! What was that about?" Because, really, friendly fire is a legit cause for concern. (Though, okay, brainwashed.)
Tadase Hotori 2016-09-01 02:44:25 53360
Tadase nods. "I'll call you whatever's most appropriate to you, Izumi-san." he says, folding his hands. As though the matter is settled, now. "Well, sometimes errand boy just means the one person you trust to do the errand and make sure it gets done right."

And he takes Nadeshiko's shift to Nagihiko entirely in stride. Not then first time it's happened in front of him, and not the last. And it really doesn't bother him at all. Never, in fact, actually seemed to.

"Eclipse's paperwork probably has to be done in blood or the tears of children or something." he says with a glance. "I don't think you'd want to do it even if it was less in quanitity."

"I'll assume you don't mean the food way?" Kiseki pipes up about bread. Tadase gives him a look and he quiets down. And then he just watches Na-chan try to make sense of it all, and he looks at Zoisite. "So is this about Mamoru-sempai's brothers wanting to join Virtue more officially?"
Zoisite 2016-09-01 02:49:07 53362
"It is incredibly handy." He stretches his arms out with a smile, and moves to sprawl lazily on the air. "But this is even more handy." Showing off? Him? Absolutely yes. He closes his eyes as Nadeshiko sheds her scales, visibly transitioning toward being Nagihiko.

"Of course Kunzite would allow you to attack at him-- and I completely understand 'not being in your right mind'." Boy. Does he ever. He's not going to think too hard about that, except-- well. Nagihiko sort of aims right for it. He doesn't visibly wince, instead turning a lazy-cat gaze on Nagihiko, complete with eyes that don't seem to fit in a human head, more cat-green than true-green.

"I assume you mean what I did to Jadeite?" His voice is all splintering threat of thin ice, of frayed nerves and a warning that this topic is dangerous. He looks at Tadase, less icy, and sighs.

"We are more or less unofficially helping him with Virtue things, anyway, and some of us don't think it's smart to have to play 'telephone' or wait on information where we can help things."
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-09-01 03:14:52 53364
And your taking it in stride, Tadase, is why the bra is chucked your way.

"Well, they probably even sign it using unicorn pee. Which is probably worse. Plus, I don't really think I'm cut out to be evil. Just devious."

Nagihiko sighs and tilts his head, reading Zoisite's expressions. Masks he is more than familiar with. And this breaking one tells him a lot. And while he doesn't have the details, he can read and poke through the emotion there, intended or not. His smile and shrug are not snarky, but lean toward the apologetic. "That's all I need to know. Sorry."

His attention is then split between Zoisite and Tadase, that line of questioning completely forgotten if Zoisite chooses. "Correct. And if I recall, the biggest issue's been...around...that stuff." Diplomacy is hard when trying to talk about brainwashing and whatnot. "However, may I point out the number of times more than one of Mamoru's brothers helping out during that...time. Plus, if they join and we did taxes on this, I could totally write off shopping trips with Zoisite as business meetings."

Sometimes humor is needed. He just hopes now's not a time where it's scoffed at and completely rude.
Tadase Hotori 2016-09-01 03:34:10 53365
"I think we all know times in which not being in our right mind is... too familiar." Tadase says. Then Tadase looks at Zoisite. "While we won't ask you to reveal all of your secrets, it might be a good idea to let us in on the ones that might make you look particularly suspicious." he says to Zoisite, about the actions with Jadeite.

"Well, I'd not be adverse to you joining, but it means more than just helping Mamoru, but helping everyone. I trust you understand that we ask for a litt-" and then there's a bra thrown at him.

And then there's a bit of innate flailing and blushing. Yes, he knows Nagihiko isn't really a girl. That's still a bra and he's still fifteen and Nadeshiko has made a very convincing girl for far too long. And finally, catching breath and sense, he looks at Nagihiko and starts laughing. "Sure, you can expense them out. Occasionally. Don't go nuts or the creepy Taisha guys are gonna ask me questions though, and I don't really want that." he says, with a laugh.
Zoisite 2016-09-01 03:48:07 53366
Zoisite sighs heavily, still lounging on the air. He takes a moment, watching the spectacle of Tadase with the bra with a sort of bored disinterest. "The situation was... complicated, to say the least, and..." He debates how up to being honest he feels.

"In a way, I was sparing him from what I got, after the fact." His voice sounds very like the shattering spiderwebs of thin ice. "Plus, he is very much alive now, and even at the time knew me well enough to go along-- even if he wasn't quite sure what the hell he was playing along with." Some level of honesty for people Mamoru somewhat respects is in order, but thinking too hard about that situation is a bit much. There's distance in his gaze, and he's gone from lazily lounging on the air to sitting, one hand twisting around his hair.

"You can ask Mamoru if you want the full details."
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-09-01 04:00:04 53368
"I still think I would have kicked your butt if we'd actually gotten to fighting. Maihime can fight dirty when she needs to."

Nagihiko sighs. He said that's all he needed to know. Stubborn boys.

Still, he listens and watches, because it's what he's good at.

Rhythm, not liking to see anyone sad, pretends to trip over something mid-air, lands on Zoisite's face, and chirps. "You saved me! Yay!"

Nagihiko really feels now would not be the time to laugh. But Tadase...flailing...

He hides it the best he can, shoulders shaking and his face buried in his arms, because sometimes Tadase is just too easy.

It's over with quickly, though, and he looks back up. "So you knew he'd be okay, then. That was our biggest concern. The other bit...does help, though." He says as though he speaks for everybody...and he may or may not mutter something about a bitch getting what she deserved? "The rest is your business to share only if you wanted."

If Zoisite were closer as a friend, Nagihiko would have totally called him a dweeb right there. The dweeb.

He shudders then, though. Taisha. Ew.

"Zoisite-kun, I say we only hold those special business meetings during sales."

It should probably be noted that, just in case Rhythm's being a bit too enthusiastic, Temari's standing close by, keeping a watchful eye but not moving unless Zoisite makes a...move out of misplaced anger.
Tadase Hotori 2016-09-01 04:33:12 53369
Tadase nods a bit, and then sighs. "My apologies if I brought up an uncomfortable memory. You understand, I'm sure, that I would vouch for you. Which is why I might want to know everything I'm vouching for. But if you'd rather I speak to him, it's a good excuse to drop by your place." Tadase says with a smile. It's an impish one - he's nowhere near the deviousness of the two people near here, but he has his moments.

"Don't underestimate Na-chan." he adds, with a degree of pride, when the discussion gets to fighting for a moment. Then he smiles. "I think sales would be best. And quality over quantity." he muses. "Remember, though, you're the Ace, so style is still in your purview."
Zoisite 2016-09-01 04:38:19 53370
Zoisite carefully removes the Chara from his face, tugging him away with caution. "It might be that," he says to Tadase, his smile not reaching his eyes as he ruffles Rhythm's hair. He doesn't comment on any bad memories, and straightens himself out, including his hair switching back to Izumi's true-blond. He gently pushes Rhythm away and stands up.

"Well, if you're going to ask Endymion about it, my being here is redundant," he says, straightening his clothes.

Uncomfortable memories? Maybe. He doesn't look like it, which may be an obvious indicator for anyone with half a clue about him.
Nagihiko Fujisaki 2016-09-01 04:54:00 53371
A dizzy Rhythm is very dizzy! But happy to be ruffled! "Yay!"

Nagihiko, however, gives his boss a wry look. He looks back at Zoisite. "Did we somehow imply your being here was unnecessary?" He waves a hand toward Tadase. "He'll visit either way."

And then, he pulls a somewhat modified page from Tadase's book.

Standing as well, he leans forward and gives Zoisite his best, woeful eyes. Large and full eyelashes. His eyebrows raise imploringly. And then...

The bishi sparkles.

(Of course, no one is as good as the King, but a Queen can pick up on a thing or two!)

"I'm sorry, Zoi-site-kun. I really do enjoy our fencing lessons."

There's a beat where those eyes are still wide, sparkles still sparkling...

But during this time, Temari is getting more and more annoyed, until finally...

Nagihiko's eyes glint and he's standing on the table, china tinkling as it rocks back and forth but nothing more. A naginata is in his hand and it's pointing toward Zoisite.

"Now sit yer scrawny ass down and enjoy the damn tea! And if you don't stop with those damn faces that ain't foolin' nobody, I'mma remove 'em myself!"

A pause, and a beat, and suddenly Nagihiko's hiding behind Tadase, curled in a ball. "I'm not here. You never saw me..."

"Well, I'd still like to talk to Mamoru-sempai. And like I said, it's a good excuse for that visit I keep putting off. And I think I'll just go ahead and bring the phones when I do." he says, nodding a bit. "I'm sure he'll be able to vouch."

"But you know, redundant or not, you're welcome here. As a friend of Mamoru's. The food is good, the company is good. And if there's ever a reason you might want to get away and wander the gardens instead of an apartment, it's open to you." he offers. A token of goodwill.

And then Na-chan... goes from stealing his gimmick to activating hers with gusto. And then he leans down, patting Na-chan's shoulders. "I didn't see anything. But maybe it's best if we let Mamoru-sempai's brother go back and talk to him efore we suffocate him in hospitality and sparkles?"
