Sakura Kinomoto gave a soft giggle as she skated backwards down the street, tomoyo right behind her. "I can't believe it! they got so mad at me, though. I felt really bad. I'd never even played before!" She shook her head.
Tomoyo chuckled and walked at a slightly faster pace to keep up. "Really? You're so skilled, Sakura-chan. I wish I could have seen."
"It was just luck, really. I'm sure they'd win any other time." She nodded. "So, are you sure you're okay with this? The sleepover?"
"Of course! with all your new friends, how could I not?" She shook her head. "It's going to be fantastic, Sakura-chan!"
Mara is just out for a walk, not really minding the weather. Just a little after school walk, and it is very apparent that she has been leaving her guitar behind at home the past week or so...
Mara turns her head hearing a familiar voice, and smiles softly. She stops at a corner, just as she sees Sakura skate on by. "Oh my... What do we have here?" She turns her head, figuring that Sakura sees plain as day since she is skating backwards.
Mara steps onto the sidewalk and doesn't try to keep up at first as Sakura skates along with her friend. "Hmm... How should I handle this..?"
Sakura Kinomoto screeches to a halt, her eyes going wide. She gives a little squeak, almost falling backwards. She looked to the girl, then to Tomoyo. "T-tomoyo-chan, go home."
"But--"
"R-r-remember the promise you made?"
That made the girls eyes go wide. "Sakura-chan, you don't mean--"
"I do! Go home! I-I'll be fine, I'll call you once I'm home!" she said quickly, her eyes narrowing on the other woman andquickly trying to move between her and tomoyo. "W-what do you want?" She glanced back, though. Obviously worried about her friend.
Mara shakes her head, "Wow, you just made this really simple.." She starts to walk toward Sakura, pretty much forgetting that Tomoyo is standing there. "Well, now I know what your friend looks like." She says as a wicked grin crosses her face.
"You look a little worried." Mara balls up her right fist, and with that, there is an incredibly quick dash towards Sakura. Mara makes a lazy right hook towards Sakura's head, not really trying at first to see how she reacts to the horrible looking punch.
Mara seems to be pretty calm, and not in the slightest bit angry. Maybe bored?
Sakura Kinomoto watched her nervously. "K-keep her out of this! She's not magic, she doesn't... she's not involved in--" And then the attack! she shrieked and lifted both arms up to block, trying to step back. Unfortunately, the roller blades made it difficult and she didn't move much, the arms connecting with hers and making her roll back into the wall.
"Sakura-chan!"
"Tomoyo-chan, get out of here!" she screamed.
Her friend turned and ran, Sakura glared up at her. "I-I'm not scared of you," she lied. "I don't want to fight. And... and if you make me... I'll... shrink you down again. There's no reason we can't be friends."
Mara growls heavily at all of the talking, "Shut up and fight me!" She doesn't seem upset, just irritated even after Sakura blocked her attack, it didn't bother her any at least.
"I don't care about your friend at all.. You take taunting so seriously.."
Mara smiles a bit as Sakura rolls back a little bit, and she takes a few steps forward, then another dash. Mara twists her hips as she brings up her right leg with the knee bent before her right leg extends out. She uses the momentum of twisting her hips and extending her leg out to make a bit of a round house. This she aims right at Sakura's ribs.
Sakura Kinomoto shrieked and tried to run! and... she less dodged, more fell flat on her face, the kick going over her head. She tried to crawl away. "Okay! Okay I will!" she shrieked! "I-I just need a moment! please!" she said. If mara gave her the moment she'd... take off her skates and then put on her shoes. And then her pads, neatly folding them on the skates and making sure they wouldn't fall over.
Then she'd let out a sigh of relief and... draw out her wina, releasing it and holding it like a big club, in front of herself.
On the other hand. If Mara didn't let her wait, she'd mostly climb on her hands and knees and try to crawl away from the psychopath! Not really able to fight in her skates!
Mara pivots around as her kick passes over Sakura. She is facing Sakura again with her arms crossed now. She takes a couple of steps right up to Sakura. "Hurry it up.."
Mara taps her right foot as she is waiting watching Sakura get ready. "What do you think you are doing wearing skates when you know there is someone that was looking for you? Hmm..?" Her eyes looking down on Sakura while waiting patiently.
Mara sighs a little bit, and lifts her head to look in the direction where Tomoyo went, "I have no intention in involving people who have no powers, so you don't have to worry about her..."
Sakura Kinomoto lets out a sigh of relief, aiming her wand at her. "G-good. And... and if I have to. I-I should warn you. I've been training a lot! I'm not going to just lose to you, no matter what!"
She stepped forward a little. Right foot out, left foot back, aim forward a little with her right arm. Just like Spark had shown her. Keep the weapon between her and Mara. "W-whenever you're ready." Her hands were shaking, though. and her grip was a bit loose.
Mara stares a Sakura in annoyance at how Sakura is pointing the wand at her. She then lets out a sigh, checking Sakura's stance. She nods after a few moments, "So... I won't hold back now since you're using a weapon. Are you sure you want to use that?"
Mara drops down into a martial stance with her arms up, her right leg behind her and her left leg in front. She has her knees slightly bent, seeming ready to go anywhere that she might need to go in case she needs to dodge. Her smile that she had been keeping turns into a thin, straight line as her eyes lock with Sakura's. "Show me what you got."
Sakura Kinomoto gulped a little bit. "I-I don't even want to fight you. This is your doing, not mine," she said softly. "But... I won't... let you just... jsut do whatever you please." She charged forward and swung!
Oh gosh, she even closed her eyes when she swung her weapon, bringing it down in a chopping gesture. She had a long way to go, she wasn't ready for this at all. "AHHHH!" she even did a tiny lil war cry.
Mara blinks as she sees Sakura starts to charge at her. As Sakura charges at her, she steps to the side. She watches the wand swing at the spot she was just at, but doesn't say anything at all. All of this is starting to kill Mara's mood to want to fight. "You suck..."
Even with that, Mara said she wasn't going to hold back, and sends a powerful roundhouse kick at the side of Sakura's right knee from behind. Mara keeps her hands up the whole time, and she doesn't blink either. "Take this as a good lesson!"
Sakura Kinomoto missed wildly, turning and looking confused. "W-what? Where'd--" And then the kick. Her knee was sent out from under her and she shrieked, crashing down to the ground hard. She hit it, skidding a bit and skidding on her hands and knees. Her want skidded a few feet away and she whimpered.
Still, quivering and weak, she slowly got back up and grabbed the wand, standing and turning back to face her. She got back into her stance. Except now she had little tears in her eyes and a skinned up knee. She tried charging again, trying to chop her!
Mara watches her, and figures the girl has a bit to learn. She stands there, and takes the hit from the wand this time. It lands on her shoulder with a thump and a bit of a bone jarring sound. She just took the hit like it was nothing, but thanks to puellla magi abilities... she didn't really feel it. She looks down to Sakura with a wide grin coming across her lips. "I really don't want to hurt you, you know?"
Mara reaches out to grab Sakura's wrist from the hand that is holding the wand. If Sakura doesn't pull away she will lift that arm up, and likely knee her right in the stomach, and will do it repeatedly until Sakura does something about it..
Sakura Kinomoto blinked a few times, her eyes going wide. "W-wait, you don't? Then can we stop thi-- eeek!" She was lifted up! And was... really, really light. She tried kicking out, but she wasn't that strong. The first blow knocked the wind out of her. The second one drew a pained whimper. She tried grabbing the wrist and tugging her grip loose, trying to draw her knees up to defend herself, but after a few ofthem, she'd go limp, the pain overwhelming her and the tears starting to flow.
This was NOT a fair fight. Not in the slightest.
Mara lets go of Sakura's wrist after a little bit. "This wasn't any fun... People with magical abilities should be much stronger..." She stands there looking down at Sakura to see how she is going to react now.
Mara takes a couple of steps back, "I hope you learn from this and figure out that you need to learn other things besides waving around a dumb wand." She rolls her right shoulder a little bit. "Also, you fought me on my own terms which is dumb as hell. What you did the first time you met me was a little smarter.."
Sakura Kinomoto whimpered, clutching her stomach. She couldn't imagine ever being in so much pain. but she was and it hurt like she couldn't believe. However, after a few moments she grabbed her wand and started to get up, using the wand to help support herself... only to fall forward on her face a moment later and give a whimper. Stubborn, but very, very hurt. At least Mara seemed to be done with her, as far as she could tell.
Mara steps back toward Sakura and sighs a bit as she crouches down next to Sakura. She rolls the girl over, looking down to her. "I really hope your friend is around for your sake..." She looks down into Sakura's eyes for a few moments if they are open. "This was boring, and this is why you should be with stronger friends.."
With that, Mara stands up from her crouch, then turns to start to walk away..
Sakura Kinomoto stared up at her, still clutching her wand to her chest and breathing weakly. Was it over? was she finally done? She laid back and closed her eyes. She wasn't too hurt, she felt. Nothing broken. So at least she could... kind of count this as a win. A painful win. With lots of scrapes. Ow.
