Sakura Kinomoto was laying in her bed, curled up as best she could considering her arms and legs were in slings. Not that she really needed them to be. She just couldn't suddenly be 'healed' or people would ask questions. People didn't heal that fast, normally.
But oh my gosh she was sooooo borrrrrrrrred. It was all she could do not to try to sneak off. It didn't help that her one companion, Kero, was sleeping most the time and so she couldn't have anyone to talk to. There was only SO MUCH tv she could watch. Fortunately, her daddy had bought her a new phone so she at least had that to watch and play with. And she played all the games. Yay! She was currently playing a simple puzzle game, trying to keep her mind sharp.
There's a brief sound at the window. A faint scuffing sound of sorts.
When Sakura looks, the window is inexplicably open-- and through it is vaulting Alex, still in that hoodie he's been wearing since he... uh. Turned into a vampire. At least the hood's pulled back this time so that his face is clearly visible to Sakura-- not that his particular method of entrance probalby makes her feel all that better about that whole situation.
Sakura Kinomoto glanced up and got ready to scream, her eyes going wide and her free hand reaching up to the key around her throat.
Then she recognized him. She blinked a few times and lowered her hand. "O-oh. Alexis-kun! What are you doing here? You scared me!"
Fortunately, the door was closed. So no one noticed him yet. She, however, eyed the hoodie for a moment. Had... he washed it since he turned vampire? Oh dear...
Well, he doesn't seem to smell, at least, if nothing else. Maybe he has multiple hoodies that just look the same? Who knows, really.
"Sorry," he offers apologetically to her, then, while he's closing the window behind himself. "I couldn't really. Go through the front desk." With the window closed, he turns to go walk towards her, hand grabbing a chair on the way there so that he can set it next to the bed and sit down.
"You've been. Better. I take it."
Sakura Kinomoto nodded. "Uh huh. Mamoru-sempai healed me up. I didn't even know he could do that! He's just the coolest, most awesome ever!" she said happily, with a big grin on her face and smiling up at him. "And it hurt really ,really bad when I first did it. But I was on a lot of pain killers. But then he healed me up in seconds! He has the best magic! I see why he and Sailor Moon are together, they're just the coolest couple ever!"
"He kinda does that, yeah," murmurs Alex-- and once he's sitting down, he leans himself forward a bit, with arms going draping over his thighs. His green eyes study the girl over in silence for several seconds-- which is probably made akward by that utter, stone-like deadpan expression he wears most of the time these days. He doesn't even comment on the matter of Mamoru and Sailor Moon being together or anything.
After those few akward seconds, he asks of her, bluntly, "What happened to you?"
Sakura Kinomoto blinked a few times and then sighed, lowering her head into the cushion. "I... think it was a truck. It just... came out of nowhere. I-I don't really remember how it happened. One moment I was there, then the next, I was in and out of consciousness. I don't really remember a lot until I woke up and they said the surgery was a success. I uhhhh... I was apparently really lucky I didn't die..." she mumbled. Unwilling to look him in the eye and let him know she was lying.
It probably doesn't make her feel much better about it that he's still just... staring at her. With that same expression. He's silent for several long seconds again, before he repeats, "What happened?" in that exact same tone, too, like a tape recorder rewinded back. But, he does add in, "You weren't. This broody before I asked."
Sakura Kinomoto blinked a few times. "It's not a fond memory, okay? I just.... really don't want to think about it... If that's okay? I don't remember much about what happened..." She really, really didn't like having to lie. But... Hannah wasn't bad. She was suffering. "It was just an... accident. that's all. I'm fine, so there's no need to worry..."
"That's what I was thinking before I came here," Alex admits, in a quiet murmur, while his eyes slowly blink at her. "But you are. Acting weird." For all the rumors and stereotypes attributed to Alex, he's always been an attentive one, that's for sure-- that hasn't changed since he turned into a vampire, apparently. Slowly, he leans himself further forward, along the support of his arms on his thighs, and he asks of her outright now, "Did someone. Do this to you?"
Sakura Kinomoto squirmed and chewed on her lower lip. "It... it was just an accident." ... Yes. They did. She closed her eyes tightly and gripped the bed. No no no. Don't ask. Please. Please don't ask anymore. "W-why are you asking so many? I'm fine now. I'm not hurt or anything. I'm only faking so daddy and Touya don't find out I'm magical..."
Now, Alex's expression does turn, even if the change is only ever-so-subtle. The corners of his mouth twitch slightly downwards, and and his eyebrows scrunch closer together. "You *were* hurt still," Alex points out, with a more of a rumbling tone carrying in his voice now, suddenly. "If they compared it to. A truck. You could have died." He scoots a bit closer with the chair, now. "What. Happened? Who did that? Were you in a fight?"
Sakura Kinomoto sighed and pulled her blanket tighter. "It was an accident. I never... she never meant to... hurt me. I just got in the way and didn't... do the right thing. It was an accident, that's all. Please don't get mad at anyone. Please don't try to hurt anyone. She... she's a good... it was just an accident." Oh, alex could probably figure it out...
"Somehow I don't... believe that it was. Your fault." Alex insists this much, and now his brows burrow even further downwards, to make the growing scowl more obvious. "Sometimes. People are not above you, Sakura. Sometimes people are bad. You can't always put yourself down."
"I'm asking again, Sakura. What. Happened?" It... might be just a trick of the light, somehow, but just for a brief second, one of his eyes might have looked less green and more... purple. "Either you tell me. Or I go find out for myself."
Sakura Kinomoto sighed. "There was a fight. I... got in the middle of it. That's all. I'm fine though, now. There's absolutely nothing to worry about any more. I swear! I feel a hundred times, no, a thousand times better! Please... don't... I don't want anyone to get hurt. Anyone at all... please," she begged, giving a little sob. "I just want it to be over..."
"You almost died," Alex growls suddenly, his voice considerably firmer than before-- and for that matter, carrying more emotion than it has since his change, as far as she has heard, anyway. "You *can't* tell me not to worry after that. If it was an accident. Then *why* are you not telling me what happened?"
Sakura Kinomoto shivered and closed her eyes. "B-because you're scaring me. I-I don't want you to hurt anyone. I-I don't... I don't want anyone to get hurt. S-she's my friend a-and I know she didn't mean to, it was an accident. T-that's all it was... please..." she pleaded, trying to hide herself in the cushions.
"*YOU* GOT HURT!" Alex suddenly outright *yells* out. That was probably heard by people in the hall, too. He hisses through his teeth, and then takes a deep breath, to at least make an effort in steadying himself. "You can't... You can't let people roll over you all the time, Sakura. You can't be the *martyr* all the time." His scowl returns again briefly when he peers to the door-- how long until a nurse comes to check what's going on in here? "Either you tell me. What happened. Explain everything so I have... full understanding of what happened. Convince me that way. Or let me go look... and draw my own conclusion. Even if it's not... the right one."
Sakura Kinomoto whimpered and shook when he yelled at her. "H-hannah-sempai was... was fighting Nanoko-chan. I... I got in the middle of it. I was going to try to block her attack but I... I mis-timed. And her attack hit me. I don't know what happened after that. The kick... knocked me out. It was an accident, though! i haven't... seen her since, though..."
Silence, for five seconds. With Sakura having explained this much now, Alex just stares at her in silence for those seconds, eyes slightly widened. And lips turned down into a scowl.
"Hannah," he repeats after her, voice growling. "Same Hannah that. You said stole some of your magic?" Teeth grind briefly against each other. "Hannah Sharpe? Why was she fighting... Whoever Nanoko is?" He... does not look or sound happy.
Sakura Kinomoto shook her head. "That... was actually a misunderstanding. I talked with Haruka-sempai. Hannah-sempai wasn't involved with the stolen cards. And i don't..." She frowned. "H-hannah-sempai was doing it because she needs help. She needs someone to help her, she's... stuck. Doing bad things. And hurting. And I.... I don't know how to help her anymore..." She gave al ittle whimper. "Please don't fight her. She needs our help..."
"And that involves *smashing your skull into pieces*?!" Alex growls out-- apparently not everything Sakura is going is really going *through* to him. There's some sounds coming from the other side of the room's door, too, and he looks towards it, with a scowl. "Sounds like my visiting hours are over," he grumbles, and starts standing up, with his hand reaching up to draw the hood of his shirt over his head again. "I'll. Make it right. For you:"
Sakura Kinomoto blinked. "W-what? No! She missed my head, she shattered my shoulder!" Quite hard. She tried to reach for him. "D-don't! Alexis-kun, please, don't try to hurt her! She needs help! She needs our help!" she pleaded, before laying down. Shoot, nurse coming.... if asked, she'd say nothing happened. Was just the video on her phone.
"Sometimes, Sakura," Alex growls, though his voice is quieter now, on account of the nearing hospital personell. "People are just bad."
It's in that exact moment that the door to the room opens, to allow a nurse to peek inside. "Is everything--?" She starts, only to stop upon seeing Alex-- who just conveniently manages to turn his head so that his face is still actually concealed by the hood, as he yanks his hand away from Sakura. "Sir, the visiting hours are..." She goes on, only to look between the boy and the shaking, post-sobbing Sakura, which urges her to come walking towards them, a hand reaching out for Alex. "Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to--"
Just a few inches before the nurse's hand actually reaches Alex, his own hand gets suddenly thrust over. It's a fast sequence of events, but it can still be followed; Alex's hand grabs onto the nurse's arm, yanks her over closer briefly, only to force her into motion to an opposite direction again-- and the physical strength granted by his current condition becomes that much more evident by how easily he sends her flying through the room by that effort, and how *hard* she hits the wall, too, back-first. There's a weak, beathless groan of pain, a crack in the drywall, and the nurse crumples onto the floor.
Alex says no more now. He just stomps towards the window, again, in a hurry to leave before more people come see what on earth is going on.
Sakura Kinomoto screamed then, her eyes going wide. Within moments, nurses and then security were running in. People were running out, looking out the window trying to find him, the nurse was hauled off.
It was a whole big thing. And... now Sakura was scared. Of Alex of all people. Oh dear. New guests were going to have more trouble now...
