Spark gets a text on the Cure Line.
GULL: Sparrrrrk why haven't you come to Gullwing yet.
GULL: Oh. Probably because. I haven't invited you yet.
GULL: Crap!
GULL: Spark, come to Gullwing Coffee! Hot Chocolate on the house! ^,^
Haruna Kurosawa is at the counter, wiping a wet rag down it as she whistles to herself. It's the lull between Lunch and the rush home for many people, so not a lot of traffic, so it's time to do a little cleaning and upkeep.
She's already cleaned the machines, they're ready!
She's whistling.
Sitting on the far end of the counter is a girl with light blonde hair, just a few shades lighter than Haruna's. She shares a family similarity, and she's sipping on what looks to be some sort of iced coffee drink. She's dressed in a blue skirt, and a lighter blue button up blouse. She seems to be in good spirits.
Corvus is perched on the railing out back on the patio trying to warm up to a lady seagull that's landed on the opposite end. Corvus is smooth like a gravel road.
"Aren't you alittle young to be going to coffee houses dear? Don't you know that coffee will stunt your growth?" Naomi's mom does have her best interest at heart and she does want to make sure her daughter isn't growing up too fast.
"Yes Momma, Its a friend's place though! I will be back soon, don't worry." Naomi has not been out much of late. Turns out after a rather rough fight which resulted in her getting a her arm banged up a little when she wasn't henshined, Her mom and her momma have both been very much careful about letting her out. Holy crap is it annoying! Could this be what the fire reading meant? Being trapped in a mirror? Her heart's mirror reflected her love for her family and here she was pretty much trapped by them.
"I will be home soon. Don't worry. Just trust me!" She states getting a little grouchy.
"Awwwww Momma's little baby can't go out by herself. You're too little to go out alone. You might get a boo boo!" Her elder sister comments in a teasing fashion.
"MmOOOooooom! She's doing it again! I will be back. I will be safe! Don't worry!" With that Naomi rushes out with her backpack.
Once down the road a short ways, Lilac pops out."You know, Naomi-chan, Your moms just want to make sure you're safe."
She frowns as she keeps walking. "Lilac, I don't have time to play it safe. What would happen if the Phantom Empire pulled an all out invasion and I was being kept at home for my own safety? I'm a Pretty Cure! I can't just be afraid bad things are going to happen." She sighs.
Soon enough she opens the door to Gull's new place and she slips in quietly. She just looks around with a bright smile. Its definitely a fitting place for her friend.
Haruna almost leaps over the counter but quickly walks around and then... Naomi just finds herself pulled into a hug! "Naomi-chan!" she sings. "Hi! Welcome! I'm sorry! A lot of people didn't get my invites! Also. Heroes get 10 percent off." she insists.
"But I'm giving you Hot Chocolate on the house because I'm a dope!" she insists. The girl at the end of the counter peeks over Haruna's shoulder in the background. "Hey?"
Haruna Kurosawa ohs! "Um, this is Aki-chan! My sister! I never introduced you! She's technically my older sister but you don't age in one of those mirrors? So now we're both the same age and it's reallllly weird and no one's questioned it yet so we're not worrying about it!" she says rapidly.
Aki Kurosawa waves. "Hey." she more demure than her sister to be /sure/. "Sooo... you're a Precure too?" she says. "I'm Cure Tide. Me and Haruna are partners!' she says.
Haruna ohs! "That's right. I never told you that. Because Tide's usually so busy with stuff! We're the Ocean Spray Precure! Madoka-chan came up with the name! and the introduction! for us!" she beams.
"Uh huh." Aki says. "Corvus is out back there trying to hit on this girl seagull? Like it's funny to watch. I think he read some stuff online on some forum and it isn't working because seagulls." she insists.
Haruna nods matter of factly. "So how you like your hot chocolate, Naomi?~" she sings.
Corvus continues to fail hilarously out by the patio. It now looks like he's trying to serenade the other seagull. You can't hear the singing. That's probably for the better.
"OH! Maybe Corvus and Lilac should go on a date!" Haruna says with wide eyes.
Aki purses her lips at this. "Lilac?" she asks.
Naomi Yomada blinks a few times as she is quickly hugged and then flat out overwhelmed by a boatload of new information. Lilac, who had been perched on her her head between her twin tails goes flying to the ground with a rather soft, 'oomph!' Naomi just smiles and hugs Gull tight for a few moments before she actually says anything. "Umm. Hi!" She giggles a little. For once she just had the words knocked out of her.
Quietly the girl gets her bearings. She kneels down and grabs Lilac and puts her back on her head. "Oh!! Hello Aki-san! I've heard a lot about you! Haruna-chan spoke very highly of you! Yes I'm Cure Spark. Nice to meet you Cure Tide." She blushes just a little.
The girl seems to space just a little bit as she listens to everything going on. "Umm, Oh right. Umm, Whipped Cream, with a little bit of peppermint in it and umm, chocolate on top?" She can't help it. she's a chocoholic.
Then Lilac perks up, her already pink coloration does little to hide the bright red that comes rushing to her cheeks. "Wait what? I umm. Me? Date Corvus? Is that allowed? I don't know if thats allowed?! I mean I'm supposed to help Naomi-chan! What if the Phantom Empire attacks and I'm not there to help her! That could be bad!" She makes up some excuses. "Oh umm Hi. I'm Lilac! I'm from the Blue Sky Kingdom! Blue-sama asked me to help Cure Spark so here I am!"
Haruna Kurosawa goes about making the hot chocolate. She does it exactly like she asks. A little peppermint cream. Whipped cream. A dusting of chocolate flakes on top. She presents it. "There!" she says. "Hot Chocolate is super popular right now. Soon the frozen drinks will be super popular." she says with wide eyes.
Aki Kurosawa shakes her head. "Probably not allowed, Lilac. Hi, Spark!" she says. A pause. "Wait. /You're/ the one that called out Oresky? Oh man. If he calls you out for real back lemme know. I know exactly where to kick him in the face." she says with wide eyes.
"Aki is really good at kicking Oresky in the face." she leans forward to Naomi conspiratorly, whispering. "Don't ask Aki about the glamour shot of Oresky she has behind the door she doesn't think I know about since I moved out of he dorms." Aki sputters. "Hey!" she says. Haruna says. "Aki really likes beefcake." she insists with a grin. Because she can embarrass the hell out of Aki sometimes too.
"Don't worry. Aki actually follows Blue-sama's silly rule." says Haruna. Aki sighs and shrugs helplessly.
Corvus mopes in, shifting into human form with a puff as he huffs and then sits at a table and flops face first downward onto it. "Can I go home yet. I wanna suddenly sit around doing nothing and playing games."
Haruna grins. "Nope, you're closing tonight."
"Darn." says Corvus.
She frowns. "The Phantom Empire is really quiet suddenly. The last time this happened, Phantom was in town." she says. "I'm hoping that's not the case right now..."
Talk about Phantom causes Aki to shiver and wrap her arms around herself reflexively.
Naomi Yomada winces a little, "Don't even hint at trouble right now around my moms. They are REALLY touchy. Thats why I've not been out and about so much lately. I got into it with a stupid Youma that managed to get a cheap in after it was defeated and I had powered down. Now they don't want me out running around! Its really annoying." She sighs and moves to take a seat.
Happily she takes a sip of her hot cocoa and her eyes light up. "Mmmmmm So yummy! You should try it. It tastes so good!" She beams happily over it.
Then she smiles, Listening to the Sisters fight playfully. "I wish my sister was that nice. Mine just likes to annoy me." She gripes a little before taking another sip of her drink.
Thats when she hears about the quiet of the Phantom Empire. "You don't think they are getting ready to do something do you?" When its mentioned about the whole calling out Oresky she just smirks. "Yeah thats me. The crazy cure who called out a General. I almost purified him once. Then something crazy happened. Blue-sama seems to think that Queen Mirage herself intervened on his behalf. Kinda nice to know I've gotten on the wrong side of the top of the food chain." She shutters.
Haruna Kurosawa sits down at the counter beside Aki as she spins around toward's Naomi. "Yup! I was there too." she says. "That was strange. A really powerful pressure." she says. Aki nods. "Well, they wouldn't be the Generals of the Phantom Empire if they were easy to defeat." she says.
Haruna Kurosawa purses her lips. "I wonder if my Super Happiness Form could handle like. Oresky or even Phantom easier..." she looks to Aki.
Aki Kurosawa shakes her head. "Blue-sama told me about that kind of power, but he says it's incredibly rare for someone to reach 'Super Happiness'. So I don't know. I never reached it. The only 'Form Change' I have is, Starfruit Salsa. Which kinda suits me well because that's the kinda dance I like in dance club!" she says.
"I have Blueberry Waltz!" she says. "And Super Happiness isn't a card. It's just. Something I can do." she mutters.
"That's weird isn't it?" Aki asks.
"Yeah..." she says.
Corvus continues to curse his existence against the table.
Haruna looks to Naomi. "For a long time. Aki was the only family I had." she says. "Because..."
"I never. Told you that I did?" she asks.
Aki Kurosawa cuts Haruna off before she tells the long winded story again. "Basically. Our traditionalist parents didn't like Haruna liked girls so dad hit her and I punched him in the gut, we ran to Tokyo and they disowned her." she says.
Haruna kind of sheepishly says. "Yeah. That." she says. "But! Hannah made me go confront them recently! And she got them to realize they're big jerks!" she says with wide eyes. Aki nods matter of factly.
A pause. "You know there's other Generals across the world, right?" Aki asks. "Oresky Plus Two..." because she refuses to call them the Oresky Trio or maybe that's what they were called five years ago. "Are just a small part of their jerks."
