What do you remember, and how does it feel

Norie checks up on a post-frenzy Alex and tries to run him through what happened.

It has been... a hectic 30 hours, to put it mildly. An industrial crane destroyed in the city, frantic texts from Sakura about Alex acting berserk, the amusement park destroyed-- and finally, a text from Sayaka to Norie, after the former dug for the latter's number from Alex's burner phone.

And this leads us to the late hours of the night, where the sun is just starting to show intentions of rising up without morning proper having actually arrived, inside Earth Court Frat House.

Where a certain german has been left lying on one of the couch, tied up in numerous chains of varying thickness, and still-moist blood staining the tank top he's been left wearing.

For now, unmoving. Eyes closed.

Norie Okana knows why Sayaka probably chose the ECFH and that's if she's there, Norie can't also kill her because this is clearly Sayaka's fault somehow. These are the thoughts in her head as she arrives somewhere on the roof in her typical flare of dark energy that comes with leaving the Dusk Zone from a small hop through it.

She storms down the stairs and practically throws the door open. Luckily- there's probably something to stop the door from also driving it's knob and/or handle into the wall.

She begins scanning around the main apartment. It's probably too early for anyone to be up. She's pretty sure Kunzite doesn't sleep or has managed to learn to sleep with his eyes open so maybe he's not here and/or getting breakfast out somewhere.

Her eyes do finally land down on Alexis and she frowns more heavily as she walks over and leans down. She shifts mid lean- longer purple hair and purple colored irises. She places a hand to Alexis's head. She's certain he isn't dead but she wants to see how 'bad off' he is right now. What happened? She thinks.
Alexis Raskoph 2017-04-19 20:05:24 74851
He's entirely unmoving for the time being still, even when she approaches. Even when she sets her hand on his forehead. Saya might have mentioned that his eyes and hair had been purple earlier, but now his hair is it's usual brown, at least-- hard to tell the color of his eyes while they're closed, but she might suspect they're green now too.

He barely has any energy left. She can tell that much-- most of it spent in a wild frenzy of fighting and having been incapable of replenishing it during the battle with Sayaka. Multitude of former wounds that have been healed over -- most by his own regenerative ability given to him by the curse, but there's traces of one wound through his chest, the width of a blade, that must have been healed by someone else. Probably Sayaka, judging from the note pinned to his shirt.

But the blood staining him? Most of it isn't from there. There's traces of it along his lips-- and most notably, left congealing along the borders of the areas in his chest where dark energy was materialized to replace the parts of him that were destroyed... just before she turned him to save his life.

And the dark energy there is just barely holding together.

Norie Okana frowns, as she removes the hand and opens her eyes. All his levels are low. She reaches into her magical subspace pocket. A small hole into the dusk zone, perhaps leading to a secure box there she uses as an emergency access storage. She pulls out two crystals. One is dark and begins to mist off in black, one is light and begins to mist off with a ray or light below it.

"I'm sure you can't hurt me. But. This is going to hurt. This is going to hurt probably more than a little." she says a little solemnly.

"It's okay. I don't like doing this to myself either." she says. "Think of these like an emergency adrenaline shot or an emergency glucagon shot..."

Then she just sort of drives both crystals into his chest. Both shatter almost on impact, but it feels like lots of sharp ridges being driven into him if he wakes up during it. One Crystal is a basic dark energy infusion. Nothing fancy. Just more 'stuff' for his system to heal and work with. The other, the light one, is straight up contained human energy. It isn't as effective as a drain- but it'll be enough until she can wake him back up.

Even if he doesn't wake up, it'll at least stabilize him. She sees the blood and coagulation.

The initial instinctive sensation is that of being stabbed. It causes Alex's eyes to suddenly snap open-- and as the crystals sink into him and begin to meld into him, his back arches to lift him upwards from the cushions of the cough and his mouth hangs out open-- a soundless groan slipping out. His whole body shakes for a moment through it all-- and once it's finished up, he slumps down with a heavy, shaking breath.

He's definitely awake now, if nothing else. Though, when his eyes turn towards Norie, he doesn't say anything. He just... stares at her. With a quiet, animal-like whimper sounding it's way along his throat.

Norie Okana pushes Alexis down immediately. She holds him there. "Don't move." she says. "That needs some time to absorb. It's natural for your body to resist things forced into it. I mean. Being what we are." she says softly. "It likes when we 'take' it." she says.

She continues to frown, but it's not as heavy as when he was unconscious. "Sayaka told me where you were. She also told me your hair and eyes were a different color." she says.

"This is not a good thing. It could mean the power is starting to settle in and change you like it did me. But. You also seem to be losing things that would suggest otherwise." she says.

"Do you remember anything about the last ten hours?" she asks curiously.

Yup. Just right to questioning. Mainly because it's /important/ right now. Hellos. And 'How are you feelings'? can come after.
Alexis Raskoph 2017-04-19 21:11:21 74855
Alex instinctively tries to fight her pushing him down, too-- but he's not in any state to resist. Not enough energy to push away. The fact that the chains are holding around him is proof to that, too.

And under the questioning, he doesn't answer immediately. There's just that blank stare-- as if he's having a hard time even processing the words she is saying.

"...I..." He eventually manages to voice out, weakly. "...bits... pieces..." Slow blink.
Lacrima 2017-04-19 21:19:52 74856
Norie Okana frowns very hard. "I'm going to ask a question. You are going to answer honestly." she commands.

"Have you been starving yourself?" she asks. "I told you not to do that. Because you can go berserk. The fact you had a physical change and-- apparently lost control and the fact that you are lacking energy suggests this to be the case. That. Or something expelled your energy enough to get to that state." she says.

"Start talking about what you remember. I find talking helps you remember things. Even if it's to yourself." she says.

"I don't even remember anything about my loss of control when I used to starve myself. You may remember." she says.

She leans forward down at Alexis and purses her lips. "...the bigger one's clothes may fit you. But I wouldn't want to take anything without permission. I will come back later with clothes." she says.

She hasn't undone the chains yet. Nor seems to be willing to yet. She needs to know things first.
Alexis Raskoph 2017-04-19 21:28:36 74857
"No," Alex answers the first question almost immediately, but her urging to go through what he remembers finally makes his eyes drift away from her, flicking this way and that rapidly.

"Remember..." He mumbles, quietly. "Draining... people. Draining Sakura. Hurting... Sayaka. Asked her... to kill me."

"Remember... was angry. So... so angry." Slow blink. "Wanted to beat down. Tear apart."
Lacrima 2017-04-19 21:36:43 74858
Norie Okana frowns and rests her chin against her knuckles as she taps her other hand against the bottom side of her other arm as she rests it there. She seems to think a long moment over Alexis's words. He wasn't starving himself. Okay. Good. So. Something caused... something else. She doesn't know what.

Sakura... wait. What.

"Sakura? The one after the cards?" she asks confusedly. "Why? Why did you go after her?" she asks. "Do you know?" she asks. "Do you even have an idea of what caused this state?" she asks.
Alexis Raskoph 2017-04-19 21:42:56 74859
"It's not... that I went for her specifically..." Alex murmurs, voice now barely even above a whisper with how strained it is. "She was... there.... was hunting... she and her friend... were there... was hungry..." His eyes close slowly, and then squeeze further-- visibly straining and bothered by that memory. "...Drained her friend. Fought. Almost... drained her too... managed to... let her go. Told her to run... I... I think she... told everyone after..."

"...She... brought Saya and Miku to me... later... At the amusement park...Tried to... capture me... I... just... grabbed her... ate and tossed her aside... Just to feed..."

It hurts. Remembering all that hurts. He understands very well everything that he did. The guilt is immeasurable.

She asks that final question then. And he falls silent for a moment. Eventually, his eyes open up again, slowly, and he murmurs, "I... was angry. So... angry. Hannah. She..."
Lacrima 2017-04-19 22:10:33 74860
Norie Okana listens. She's taking mental notes. She then frowns as she hears 'Hannah'.

"Hannah. Hannah Sharpe?" she asks. "What happened?" she asks. "She didn't try to experiment on you. Did she?" she asks.

"I will have words with her if that's the case. She will not like the words." she says.

"Or convince Riven-sama to suggest she leaves my work alone." she says. "Even though you're not 'my experiment'." she says. "Your still my responsibility." she suggests.

She takes a hard breath. "I think it's time I take you to UMBRA to get you under some proper instruments soon. I'll need to talk to Riven-sama about it." she says.

"I didn't want to. Riven-sama will try to recruit you. I don't think you'd like working for UMBRA. I enjoy it fine. But. You... won't." she suggests.

"... more like. The thugs you punch. Really." she says.

"How do you feel?" she asks. "Physically. And Emotionally." she asks. "RIght now."
Alexis Raskoph 2017-04-19 22:19:49 74861
"No," Alex says, on the matter of Hannah potentially experimenting on her. "She... hurt Sakura." That was a good while ago, that one, though not many people necessarily knew who was responsibile for it. Alex had disappeared shortly after, though. "So... angry. I... remember finding her. I hit her. Hit her a lot. I... can't remember... what happened in the end..."

The irony over the fact that he originally got angry at Hannah for Sakura getting hurt when he eventually ended up draining Sakura in his frenzy probably isn't lost on him. The guilt certainly grows more visible on his features.

He falls silent for the longest time after that. He doesn't even say anything about UMBRA or Riven or being under study or... anything. But once she finally asks how he's feeling? His eyes close again, and he turns his head slowly. Another few seconds of silence, and...

"Saya should have killed me."
Lacrima 2017-04-19 22:28:34 74862
Norie Okana head tilts. "Sakura is probably fine. Because if she wasn't you probably wouldn't be welcome here and everyone she knows would be coming for you. It's a lot of people. She knows a lot of people." she says. "Those are the type of people you don't mess with. Mamoru... or Sakura. People that are friends with practically an army of people capable of hurting you in unique ways. Not worth the effort unless the outcome nullifies that." she says.

"Sakura will forgive you, for what it's worth. I'm sure of that. She's the type." she says a little grimly.

"Even knowing we'd have to fight eventually, she still wanted me to 'be her friend' and 'feed from her'." she says. "---and her cards continue to endanger everyone in the city." she says.

"No, Sayaka shouldn't had killed you. If I wanted anyone to kill me everything I had woken up from a starvation episode well. People'd would had tried to kill me plenty already." she asides.

"But. I can't do anymore here until I get some sort of readings. I can sense things. And see things. But. I can't. Really tell specifically what's wrong. Just that. Something is." she says.
Alexis Raskoph 2017-04-19 22:38:43 74863
"I... Guess..." Mumbles Alex, his eyes slowly drifting openwards again, though they're not directed to Norie right away. "...I wonder... what happened... with Hannah... I can't remember how... it ended... But I think... I was still trying to hunt for her... during all that."

With a groan, he starts shifting-- chains rattling quietly with his motions, and body visibly shaking as he exerts his hurt and over-spent body, just to bring himself sitting without the use of his restrained arms and legs alike-- and eventually, akwardly gets his back leaning against the couch's arm, at least.

"...Then..." He whispers, with one eye settling on Norie. "...What do you *think* is happening to me?"
Lacrima 2017-04-19 23:05:59 74864
Norie Okana frowns. "What I 'think' is happening is that something is draining you faster than you can fill yourself up. If that's happening, Riven-sama has a way to combat that, that works with me." she says. "So it may need some adjustment but it'll work for you. For now... I think you should remain here. In those chains." she says.

"I'm sure Kunzite or Mamoru or any of his friends will be by eventually to find you. And I'll return in the next few hours with some less dirtied clothes." she says softly.

"Try to relax. Try not to think too hard about things right now." she says.

"Are you wanting me to try to speak to anyone for you?" she asks.
Alexis Raskoph 2017-04-19 23:32:37 74865
"I puked blood... when I fought with Saya," Alex admits, with a wrinkle of his nose, brows knitting together. "...Do you think...?" He lets that question hang in the air rather than actually fully verbalizing it.

Try to relax. Right. Because that's been so easy for him to do in general since all this started.

"...I feel like you should," he admits on the matter of wether or not she should talk to someone. "But... I don't know. It... might be better for them to hear... from me directly."
