Lacrima had offered to let the odd dragon girl she met at Rashmi's parents resturant, Korma Chameleon, stay in her manor as a guest. She has gone about cleaning up a room on the upper level- which didn't need that much cleaning at all as Lacrima keeps a mostly clean house. Most that needed done was dusting.

She has arranged something like donuts on a tray in the vestibule's coffee table in front of the sofa there, and tea and milk- for either preference.

Since doesn't have a rules sheet like Mamoru. There's really only one rule she has here and that will be explained whenever she arrives.

The iron gate out front has been unlocked for anyone to enter without issue right now aswell. Right now she's making sure there's no inconsistences as she stares to the picture of a man.

"I bet you had a lot of guests." she scowls. "I wonder how you took care of them." she mutters as she turns back towards the door for a moment.
Lamya 2017-08-15 19:03:08 81455
After a little while, the creaking fromg the opening of the gate can be heard from outside, followed by a knock on the door. "Hello?" Lamya calls, voice pitched to be heard from within the manor. "It is I, Lamya!"

When the door opens to let the dragon girl in, she's holding a large box that is just filled with.... junk. Most of it is shiny in one aspect or another, but all of it is relatively valuless. The lid of a lunchbox portrying Princess Barbie. A credit card that looks like it's been chewed. A plate from Korma Chamelion. "Hello!" Lamya chirps happily. "I have brought my horde."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 19:21:10 81456
That plate. She reminds herself she needs to obtain that for Rashmi-chan. She gently motions her inside. "Hello, Lamya-san." she says softly. "This is my manor." she says softly. She eyes. "Is that all you own?" she asks curiously as she motions to the couch and sits down herself. "Sit here." she says. "There's donuts, and tea and milk here." she says. "There's some things I'd like to discuss before I show you the room you'll be staying in." she says softly.

She settles. "First. Is there anything I can trade you to get the... plate back? From your hoard?" she asks softly.

"That belongs to Rashmi-chan, and she'd like it back." she offers.
Lamya 2017-08-15 19:32:45 81457
Lamya puts the box down and obediently sits, putting her hands on her knees. "Absolutely not," she says. "She gave it to me freely and of her own will, and, besides, it is a memento of the most fabulous meal I had eaten since I awoke. It reminds me of that meal and of... Rashmi-san," she says, not able to hide a little blush at any mention of her affection of somebody who's human. "If she wishes it back, she should talk to me directly."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 19:55:49 81458
Lacrima shakes her head. "She didn't give it to you." she says softly. "In a restaurant, everyone has food delivered on a dish like that. And the dish gets taken back, and cleaned and reused. It costs money to replace what you stole, and Rashmi-chan is on the line for that to her parents." she says. "And I promised I'd get it back from you when you came here to move in." she says.

"Regardless." she motions to the donuts. "Help yourself. There are some rules here that I require you to obey while you stay here." she says.

"The first is that you let me know if something needs refilling. Whether that's food or other such things you may use." she says. "The second is merely that you stay out of the basement. That is where I keep my coffin and I do not like people messing with it." she says.

"Do you understand?" she asks softly.
Lamya 2017-08-15 20:31:34 81459
Lamya clutches the plate posessively as Lacrima lectures her. She doesn't get a chance to retort, however, when the vampiress moves on, offering her a bounty of donuts. Still clutching the plate, she walks over to the plate and starts stuffing her face with the sweet desert, listening to her new housemate lay down the rules, nodding along.

"I understand perfectly," she says, "and will abide by these laws while I lair here. I, too, did not like it when my lake was disturbed by people. I had to make a deal with them to finally get them to leave me alone."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 20:40:07 81460
Lacrima nods. "Alright then. But if you don't return the dish I do ask you go bring it back to her as soon as you can." she says softly. She gently eyes the dragon girl eating donuts. She sighs a bit and shakes her head. "There are other rooms. You can explore. There's a conservatory, and a study and some rooms I don't use, really. A sitting room, somewhere down here..." she says.

"If I'm here. You will usually find me here. or in my bedroom. or in the study." she says. "If I'm in the basement, leave me alone, please." she offers.

"Unless it is an emergency." she says.

She stands up and motions along. "Come along." she says softly. "We're going upstairs. That's where the bedrooms are." she says.
Lamya 2017-08-15 20:45:24 81461
Lamya nods slowly, putting the plate back into the box along with her other things, and starts piling all the donuts on top of the brick-a-brack. "You have a room just for sitting?" she asks, as she follows Lacrima upstairs. "I cannot imagine the purpose of that. Humans are so strange."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 20:59:05 81462
Lacrima walks up the snaking staircase and up to the east wing as she talks. "They're more like rooms where someone would entertain guests that are only staying for a few hours. This house is old enough where that was a thing of sorts." she says. She stops in front of the second of a row of doors on the left side. "This room." she motions as she opens it and steps inside and motions her in.

The room has a bed, with some sort of ridiculous canopy and curtains around it- though each room has this feature. They're originals and were restored from this manor. There's a dresser, and a small bench in front of a wide window. It's very victorianish/turn of the century. Not that Lamya was awake for that period.

"This room." she says. "The others are still in states of repair." she offers. "Besides my room. And Jiaying's." she says softly.

"Right."

"Jiaying is. Away in Taiwan. Dunno if she'll be back." she says sadly. "But she's a ... foxgirl that may return. Green fur." she says. "Don't be alarmed by her. She's okay here too." she says.
Lamya 2017-08-15 21:08:32 81463
Lamya stands in the doorway of her new room, eyeing the various fancy furniture critically. "This is..." she starts, putting her box down near the bed. "... strange to me." Her cheeks flush again, with the admission of any kind of weakness no matter how small. "I am to sleep in this bed."

The dragon girl scowls at the room, lost in thought for a while before asking, "Do you have a pool? Or a pond? This would help." Pause. "Me." She suddenly shakes her head. "Nevermind. I have met foxgirls before. They are usually trouble and I will make sure to keep an eye on my horde when she is around." She turns her red eyes up to Lacrima. "I promise that I will live peacefully with her as long as she does not take from it."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 21:23:19 81464
Lacrima head tilts. "I can have some sort of tub or 'pool' brought up here and filled." she asides. "It would not be very big." she asides. "But it can be done by the end of the day, regardless." she says. "Kiddy pools are not expensive. Or big." she says.

She purses her lips. "The foxgirl also controls ghosts. I'll make sure she keeps her 'friends' away too." she says softly.

She looks around the room and purses her lips. "I will need to get plastic under it. The floor is carpeted, but there's old expensive wood underneath. That is not a big deal either." she asides softly.
Lamya 2017-08-15 21:29:19 81465
Lamya eyes the bed and heaves a heavy sigh. "No, it okay. This is how things are now, isn't it." There's, perhaps, a hint of sadness in her voice behind the imperiousness. She walks over to the bed and pushes a hand into the mattress, feeling how soft it is. "I have been learning many things," she says. "Mostly how humans have taken over everything and have made this world their own." She turns and sits on the edge of it experimentally, smoothing the skirt of her school uniform over her legs. "It has become clear to me that the world will not go back to the way it was and I must either adapt or die." She says this last with a huge sigh and flops over onto her back on the bed. "This is oddly comfortable."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 21:36:39 81466
Lacrima head tilts. "I am not a very old vampire. I only became one two years ago." she says. "I am thirteen now." she says softly. "But I have the memories of a much older vampire here and there. And as far back as I think he would remember, the world has always been that way. He was at least 530 years old." she says softly.

"So it's been that way for a very long time." she says.

"I understand you'd be much older. Yes?" she asks as she head tilts.
Lamya 2017-08-15 21:47:20 81467
"Yes," Lamya agrees, staring at the canopy of her new bed. "I was... asleep about two hundred years before that." She's silent again, contemplating the situation she has found herself in before turning her head to look at Lacrima. "I suspect the reason why your vampire would think that is because he has experienced the world between then and now."

She turns her head back to stare at the canopy with meloncholy. "I have not. Imagine waking up one day to find your house suddenly filled with guests, shoulder to shoulder. It's cramped and crowded and smelly, and everybody insists that this is normal and the way things should be."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 21:56:17 81468
Lacrima asides. "It is normal for this period in time." she says. She gently head tilts. "Just as there are no more kings or queens or counts." she says softly. "In theory. I should be heir given this power, to the title of countess in Spain. But that will not happen. That time is over." she says curtly.

"But that doesn't mean I can't conduct myself in certain ways in private matters." she asides softly.

"What is it you miss exactly?" she asks.
Lamya 2017-08-15 22:08:53 81469
Lamya sits upright, when Lacrima mentions her title. "Perhaps...." red eyes scrutinize the vampire before whatever initially caught her interest escapes from her, like so much air out of a balloon. "I miss...." she scowls. "I miss being able to be myself. I miss being able to lay in my lake and collect my horde. I miss being able to have a moment's worth of peace. I miss understanding how the world works."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 22:20:16 81470
Lacrima head tilts and frowns a little. "I know what that's like, to lose what you had before. If it's any consolation." she says. "I used to be just a normal girl. That liked to dance. I bought a necklace. And it did this to me. It took my body, and gave me this dark energy mass in turn, and it took my positive emotions." she says. "I didn't ask for that to happen, but it did." she says.

"I've learned to deal with it... healthily enough in time on my own. I'm sure you'll figure things out. And learn how things work here." she says softly.
Lamya 2017-08-15 22:54:44 81471
Lamya fingers the choker that encircles her neck, thoughtfully. "Yes," she says. "I think it does bring me some consolation. It is eerily similar to my own plight." She heaves another heavy sigh and leverages herself up off the bed to make her way to the window. "There's so much about this world I just don't know," she admits, talking mostly to herself now. "It's dangerous, in the state that I'm in."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 23:13:13 81472
Lacrima head tilts. "What state is that?" she asks softly. "Just take it easy." she says softly. "I was not in a great state myself two years ago. It takes time. It sounds like you 'woke up' fairly recently, right?" she asks softly.

"Just relax. If you need help interacting with people, just find Rashmi-chan or myself for right now." she offers.

"I am not always available but I'll do my best." she offers. "Much of my time is spent with Eilam-kun right now. The boy that was there with me that night at Rashmi's parent's restaurant." she says.
Lamya 2017-08-15 23:25:16 81473
"Changed," Lamya says softly. "And not voluntarily, either." Louder, she laughs, "I guess that's what you get when a knight nearly slays you." She turns to sit on the windowsill so she can talk to her host properly. "A few months ago, yes. When I first woke it was... horrible. Everything was different. Nothing made sense. The buildings, the language, everything."

She takes a breath, "I was hit by a car three times before I figured out they were some kind of magical chariot." A shake of the head and she corrects herself, "No, not magic, I'm told. Science. I just can't tell the difference." Her amrs fold into themselves, hugging her torso. "There are these boxes with panes of glass that have constantly shifting images on them. Smaller slabs of glass that people can talk into and speak with somebody a world away. Buildings that are taller than mountains. Metal kites that can *fly* to take people from one edge of the world to the other. I could recite to you the magical formulae to enchant the objects to do the very same thing, and in my day were I to do so, people would have gasped in wonder! Here, they are commonplace. *Peasants* use them like they were toys."

Lamya shakes her head. "There is so much of this world that I just don't understand."
Lacrima 2017-08-15 23:32:48 81474
Lacrima head tilts. "Magic died out as a power before our age." she says softly. "At some point, history rebooted itself. Magic has only 'recently' begun to return to the world." she says softly. "This is what I understand of it through my studies." she says. "It's also believed that, things like electricity and such may be low key magic on it's own but.... we're not sure. The person who created that theory died a long while ago." she says.

"But, yes these things are common place. Science. Yes." she says softly.

"Magic is kept hidding. Normal people don't seem to see it. It's like they are blind." she says quietly.
Lamya 2017-08-16 00:29:51 81475
Lamya nods slowly, beginning to understand. "I do not know what 'rebooting' means but I think I have the basics of it." Her lips purse into a moue of contemplation. "This... this explains everything actually." She looks up to meet the vampire's eyes with her own. "Well. Mostly everything. It explains a lot."

She turns back to the window, "Though, if reality did reshoe itself, it may mean that the princess I am looking for just doesn't exist anymore." She grips a fist in determination. "I'll have to keep looking because I wish to get this cursed collar off." Back to Lacrima, "But in the meantime I will need to fit into human society."
