It's been some time since the... incident, at Lacrima's manor. When it came down to cleanup, Alex didn't really... stay around that long. He let Ariel take care of Norie for the time being, albeit with the promise that he'd be back soon.

He had to take care of some other things too, apparently.

Now would be the time he's coming back, then. Knowing the layout of the mansion helps quite a bit in figuring out where and how to get inside without any onlookers noticing-- something that he's been starting to practice even more now that the secret of his parents has been revealed. And for all he knows there's eyes on the streets feeding intel to them, too.

The rest of the details on his entry don't really matter, at this point. The point is that he comes walking through the hallways of the mansion, without bothering to hide his presence any further at that point. HIs leather jacket still hasn't been recovered or replaced with a new one, so his hands are stuck into the pockets of a hoodie, instead.

Lacrima is inside her kitchen, currently sticking her finger into the testing unit again. Green. It's been steadily green, always, since she started testing a day after the incident. She purses her lips with introspection and frustration.

Her eyes peek up as she hears 'Norie' from inside the house and it's Alexis-kun! She gently calls out. "Kitchen." she says.

She sighs and removes her finger and actually begins to open up the device and begins poking at it's insides to make sure it's actually working right.

All the windows have been replaced by now. They look new and shiny compared to the ones up front. Lacrima hates it.

She wants old style ones back but alas. This had to do.

She fidgets a bit. "Hi..." she says quietly.

"....I'm sorry. About the other week." she says quietly.

"Did I hear that right?" asks Alex's voice from the doorway of the kitchen before he steps inside properly, himself, with both hands drawing away from his pockets at that point.

"Did you just apologize for someone else coming in to try to ruin your - and a lot of other people's - day? Seems like the wrong direction to put blame into, but that's just me, you know?"
Lacrima 2018-01-14 15:43:13 88112
Lacrima fidgets a bit uncomfortably. "I gave up." she says quietly.

"That wasn't fair to everyone there. I'm sorry." she says quietly. "Just...tired of.. of starting over again. and again and again. After everyone telling me things will be okay and... be--between. Everything at the time...." she says quietly.

She frowns as she closes the device again and sticks her finger back in and sighs as it goes through it's testing phase again.

"I had to go out and feed yesterday after Ariel-chan visited me." she says quietly. "I still don't like doing that." she says.

"Sorry. I didn't expect company. So I don't have anything out. I'll get you something in a moment." she says quietly. "I mean. It's fine you're here. I usually have things out if I know someone is coming." she says softly.

"Considering I more or less gave up a while ago too..." murmurs Alex, with a slow roll of one shoulder. "Well, you know."

He moves in closer, then, with slow - but purposeful enough - steps that carry him up to the smaller gir l, and bringing his hand onto her shoulder, squeezing ever so gently.

"I didn't come here looking for a five-star meal anyway, you know?" He assures for her. "I just wanted to come check in on you after... you know. Everything."

Lacrima eyes the device as it comes up another green light. "Ugh that makes no sense." she says putting it aside, as she sighs. She sighs and turns to Alexis after the shoulder squeeze. "My energy signature has been stable after the weekend." she says softly. She eyes Alexis with a blank look and then drags her note book over and grabs a pen.

"Okay. See. Dark energy has a signature. Youmas are not human and it looks like this." she says, she draws a line like one might see on a line graph, it turns into many jagged spikes. "Dark energy infused humans, that are usually stable like... Riventon-sama look like..." she draws another line. It has similar spikes, but there's a flat line every so often and the spikes are not as long and have shallower peaks.

"I usually look like...." she draws another line. It goes from 'hard youma like spikes' to 'shorter spikes', but with no flatlines.

"But recently I've been looking like this..." she says, motioning over to Riventon's line.

"When you're like this...." she motions to her line again. "You act unpredictably. Sort of going from a high to low again and again." she says.

She nrgs. "On top of that. Things are clearer than the used to be. And I can feel... things." she says. "It's... muddy. Right now. But... I can feel... things. I mean. Good. Feelings. I can always feel bad feelings." she says.

When the explanation begins... Alex's eyes sort of glaze over. Like he has *no* bloody idea what she's talking about, for the most part.

But he at least seems to pay attention, so there is that, righT? Right?

AT the very end of it, though, when she talks about feeling things? That causes him to blink rapidly at her.

"...You feel human?" He asks of her, bluntly. He knows from first-hand experience how... non-human being like her cna feel, afterall. "Did... Ariel do something to you?"

Lacrima tried to dumb it down with wavy lines. That might had not been good enough. Maybe she should had tried some JoJo explanation. She shakes her head. "I don't feel human." she says quietly. "I mean I had to go hunt last night. Humans don't eat other peoples energy." she says flatly.

"But I feel...." she tries to bite her lip.

"Odd." she says. "Like I've been watching stupid stuff on TV. I hadn't done that in a long long long time." she says quietly.
Alexis Raskoph 2018-01-14 17:32:52 88117
"That sounds pretty human to me," Alex insists to that, hand giving a quick squeeze to her shoulder. "Just doing things for the sake of doing them, you know? Even if they are stupid."

HIs hand gives a quick pat to her shoulder, before he goes on to step past her, and lean his back against the counter she set the notepad on. "IT sounds like a step forward anyway. I know from experience what it's like afterall, you know? ANd back then... I wouldn't evne do those kinds of things."
Lacrima 2018-01-14 18:13:20 88118
Lacrima frowns. "I know it has something to do with what Ari-chan did. I mean. With. The tear." she shifts a bit softly. "Which in all rights, should vaporized me on the spot but didn't." she says flatly. She sighs a bit and sits back down and taps her right foot.

"Yeah but humans don't drain energy and feel muddy about things and have to worry about some stupid energy fluctuations." she mutters.

She shifts.

"I'm..sorry. I ran that day in the ECFH. But. I was. Just getting over. Natsumi's and I's break up." she says quietly.

"....and I wasn't able to handle what was going on and just..."
Alexis Raskoph 2018-01-14 18:32:06 88119
"You could also argue that humans don't punch people with magic runes or blast them with the power of hte moon or whatever," Alexis points out. "If I've learned anything since I learned magic is that the definition of human kind of... fluctuates a lot. A lot of it has to od with self-identification too, no?" He reaches over to poke her finger lightly against her shoulder, in teasing.

"You're not any less human to me for it."

At her following words, he frowns faintly, and...

Suddenly his arm is around her. And pulling her up against himself, to hold in a hug.

"Yeah, well," he sighs out. "I wasn't exactly being easy either. I lost sight of what mattered. So... you don't have to say sorry for that."

... And suddenly.

Alex's brow twitches at the sudden, loud german synthetic vocalization.

"...Not helping."
Lacrima 2018-01-14 18:38:55 88120
Lacrima is about to say something when SUDDEN Alexis-niisan hug. She erfs and just kind of languishes in the hug for a good few moments before she lightly hugs back and frees herself best she can. "Devices like to smart asses. You'll get used to it. If Riventon-sama can, and Rashmi-chan can, you can." she asides.

A pause. "Right. Um. I have a new. ID of sorts. So I can go back to school when the semester starts again." she says quietly. She reaches down for her bracelet as she stands up, and there's a little purple flash and there's someone mostly new standing there. She motions. "Maria Hanazawa." she says. "A Spanish/Japanese transfer student who's here to... 'learn about the Japanese side of her heritage'." she says. "-erm that's a. Made up identity. Mind you. It's not I stole someone elses." she says.

"Riventon-sama helped out with that by adding the feature to the bracelet." she adds.

"It's not. Meant for me to hide from people. Just. Let me go back to school in some fashion." she says.

"Honestly, I think Krieg just genuinely thinks he's being helpful rather than being a smartass," Alex mutters when they seperate from the hug. "...That's what I call him now. It's a bit easier to say in a hurry and in the middle of a conversation than 'Kriegsfauste', even if 'fists of war' sounds much cooler than just 'war'.

And then a purple flash. He steps back in reaction to it with a grunt, and then he's blinking, wide-eyed, at the girl that appears in turn.

"...Oh," he lets out in surprise. "That's... definitely a thing. But it... makes sense." He turns a quick peek to the side. "... I guess I will have to. Figure something like that too, now that you're mentioning it."
Lacrima 2018-01-14 19:11:24 88122
Maria Hanazawa softly turns it off, quickly. "I can't help with that. I had to go to Riventon-sama for help." she says. "But I work for him already. You don't have that choice." she says softly. "Mamoru-kun may be able to help you, or point you to someone who may be able to help." she says softly.

She sighs and settles a bit. "There's also mundane things. Hair dying. Changing your usual clothes often." she offers.

"You'll be surprised what people miss if you just move away from the regular for a day." she says softly.
