Reiko Touyama has invited Moriko and Hoshi to her house. She is for once, not meeting in the tree house. She has dragged everyone to the big comfy couch. Grandpa is here putzing around the kitchen. Toki Touyama is an old WWII vet and in his later ages. He is also VERY STRANGELY feeding some of Reiko's floating koi with a smile. Does he see them? Apparently, so.

The koi argue over bits of the bread. It's kind of silly. Regardless, Reiko is sitting on the couch as said before, and then says to Moriko and Hoshi as they enter- though Hoshi probably knows this. "Grandpa's okay. He knows about the magic thing. He's fine with it." she says. "I mean he sees the koi and stuff." she says. "At least." she shrugs a bit and then fidgets.

"Um..." she tries to figure out how to start this. Because how do you deal with 'turned biologically into a girl' in a way that isn't strange and awkward. "...haaaaaaveee your parents found out yet?" she asks to Moriko, as she looks to Hoshi. "Right you left. After that... fight um."

"Apparently. The dumb story coming true is coming true in hilariously awkward ways now." she says. "But stuff we still need to talk about." she admits.

Moriko Hayashi is of course happy to visit. Even if it's about something super awkward. You know, like magically getting changed into something else. Also the girl part. She's wearing a light jacket over a blouse and a long skirt, white and green. She doesn't remember owning so much green, but it seemed appropriate enough at this point.

Watching the old guy feed the fish, she watches for a few moments, zoning out. Her own familiar, a deck of cards idly shuffling behind her. "They know." She offers right up front. "Mom wasn't sure how it happened and didn't fully believe I didn't sign up for something weird." She pauses, then adds, "She did want to know what I'd be doing. Then told me she was going to- I have to practice with her a few times a week now." She says in a quieter voice, "My sense of balance is all off and I keep tripping on things. I'm still good with my hands, but it's really embarrassing when you try to walk over to someone and faceplant."

Reiko rubs her face and sighs. "Ughhhhhh." she says. "Alright. Well. At least they know and like. They didn't freak out about it? And helping you with it? Good." she says. "I was afraid of this kind of rewriting your parents to. Glad that didn't happen. I don't like it when the story makes even small alterations like that." she says softly.

She sighs a bit as Grandpa comes in and delivers a plate of sandwiches! She smiles! "Thank you Grandpa!" she smiles. "Don't mention it~" he says. He does eye the floating deck of cards. He makes a note of this and takes back off to the kitchen as she takes one of the sandwiches. She begins eating. "Oh, I mean. Have one. Please?" she asks.

"...Sorry... that happened." she mutters. "I mean..."

"It's GREAT I mean..." she says suddenly stammerly. "That like. That happened from your perspective maybe? But... it was done without asking and stuff by the story and I'm sorry for you."

Moriko Hayashi shakes her head and says, "I kind of expected either or both to freak out, but I guess it was... a relief for them? I don't know." She shakes her head and shrinks inward for a moment. Then she sits up again and shakes her head, trying to avoid thinking too deep on it. "I was definitely a little worried about that. We didn't ever really write about them though right? So that's probably why it didn't happen. I think? Or does the story diverge a lot now? I mean I don't remember a candy monster."

She doesn't comment on other things she doesn't remember either, but that was so long ago anyway. Reaching forward, she takes one of the sandwiches and peeks under the bread to see what kind before taking a bite. The shuffling stops as she eats.

"It is great! Awkward, but great! I mean, I'm not going to complain. Do you know how much I hate needles?" She pauses and then grins, "And I get to throw it at Griselda's face that she ruined her own insults!" Which is an optimistic way of thinking. Sort of. "I uh, mostly just worry about everything else now though. You know? Like the balance thing. I swear I'm shorter now too." She pauses and adds in a quiet voice, "I love it, but it doesn't feel like me yet either."

Reiko takes a deep breath and nods at Moriko. "Well, I imagine... having a new body suddenly has all sorts of problems. Girls are kind of shorter than boys, we walk differently--like you've learned. Already. By the sound of it." she says.

She winces. "Yeah.... Griselda. That thing isn't... Hiroko. Hiroko may have been a bully. But I don't think she'd had gone that far." she says quietly. "Sorry she said those things..." she says quietly. "They we're wrong and hateful."

She watches Grandpa bring three glasses over, and a pitcher of lemonade, that seems to have limes sliced and steeping in it. "Thanks again, Grandpa!" she smiles.

Grandpa makes a 'don't mention it' hand motion and she looks. "That's Lemonade. With limes in it." she says as if that wasn't apparently. "We call it Lemonlimeade." she says. "It's good!" she says as she pours three glasses. One for each of them.

Moriko Hayashi shakes her head and shrugs it off, going as far as to make a dismissive gesture. "I figure if she's playing the villain, by choice or not, it was expected. If I let her get under my skin where would I be when it was an accident, right?" She shifts uncomfortably in her seat and shakes her head. "I'm fine. Thank you though."

She nods her thanks to the old guy, a smile on her face. "Thanks" informal, but polite seems about right.

Taking one of the glasses, she sips for a moment. "Also we had to go shopping. That was kind of awkward. Fun, but awkward." Her cheeks are tinged at that. "Really awkward. My mom was so excited and she was forgetting Japanese."
