Magical Mascot Playdate!

Haruna Kurosawa is here. Corvus, a silver raven, is on her shoulder as she sits in the tea garden that Virtue uses a lot of meetings and offical stuff when the Guardians aren't having thier weekly meeting. Corvus has some misgivings.

"/WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!?/" yells the bird comically. "That is a cat and cats eat birds and I am not a bucket of Kentucky Fried Crow!" he whines!

Haruna Kurosawa giggles. "I don't think that'll happen. Imma gonna run out with you if it looks that way." she says with a series of matter of fact nods.

Sailor V sneakily strolls up into the after-hour tea garden in full senshi regalia, peeking around suspiciously in case any random students or other passerbyes might take a peek into the area.

"Oh wow, you're right, your bird is soooo loud!" she says as means of greeting, depositing herself onto benches and dropping a small heavy bag with personal items (and probably a cat) in front of her.

"So loud. I got a kitty leash that might sorta' work as a muzzle, since my cat doesn't like wearin' it without scratching everybody up!" she offers, sounding genuinely helpful and caring.

Haruna Kurosawa head tilts. "Corvus is just all nervous about meetin a cat." she scoops him and places him on the table.

Oh...oh god. This is how life ends, doesn't it!? Corvus thinks.

Haruna begins preening the raven. Pet. Pet. Pet. "Relax~" she insists to the bird. She looks back up at Minako. "Nah. I don't wanna make him quiet by force. We've been through a lot and stuff and he's my friend---not my pet!" she says with a smile.

Corvus huffs. But does blush.

Minako Aino/Sailor V purses her lips a little awkwardly. "Oh. Well, I mean, my pet is my friend, too. And my friends are my friends, too, but sometimes you gotta use a little force," she confesses.

"But just a little. A smidgeon of force," she says sweetly as she dumps a napping white kitty out onto the table.

He's obviously a male cat (to people and possibly birds who know cats), but this one has been finely brushed and decorated with a single red ribbon in the style and texture of a certain masked vigilante.

A few pieces of candy, personal accoutrements, and a little faux-gemmed tiara with 'Artemis' on the top (scratched up and absolutely refused to be worn) also fall onto the table around the cat, who resolutely clings to napping despite the treatment.

"Whose a pretty kitty, whose a pretty kitty!"

Corvus just sort of stares. He sits at home and plays SuperUltraFightX all day and Haruna doesn't mind. The cat seems intent to just nap despite being dump out of a bag? "Hiiii?" he says.

Haruna sees all the things that fall out of the bag. "Maybe...I should buy something intresting for you to wea----"

Corvus cuts Haruna off. "If you even try getting a tiny tiara for me I will turn evil again and my goal will be to destroy all pet boutiques in a sixty mile radius!" he says as he crosses his arms adamantly.

"That's a silly thing to turn evil for Corvus~ I dunno if you have it in ya anymore~" Haruna says teasingly. Corvus pouts. "Yeah you're right." he says. "But still! That's silly!" he says.

Haruna head tilts. "Why does he have a tiny tiara anyways? Is he a cat that is also a princess?" she wonders.

Minako Aino/Sailor V gives Artemis a few little wake-up shakes. "She's a princess cat. She comes from a long line of royal cats! And is of marrying age," she says.

Artemis' purrgrowl reply and tail flickering about like a little whip shows he's awake, just very much not interested in being Minako's dress-up doll for bird-dates.

"We can get something appropriate for birds to wear, too. Make a little diarama," she suggests, picking up the tiara and shaking it at Corvus before gingerly, carefully setting it on Artemis' head so it catches between his ribbon and ear.

"Grrr, wake up, Nap-emis!"

Corvus just holds a wing to his face. He is /soooo/ done with the past two days. (Though it still beats being an evil rhyming jerk.)

"Nah I'm fine with Corvus as he is. He also has pretty feathers!" she insists.

"Artemis~ Wake up n' say hi!" she sings a little. She unhooks her feather fan barrete and begins trying to use it to tease the cat.

Minako Aino/Sailor V is awake, but it becomes much more apparent after Minako joins in, using his tail to tease at his nose in between feather-fannings. It's both adorable and annoying, depending on how much of a cat you are.

Artemis' expression in hard to read but he has a 'would scratch you if people were not around' sort of attitude before he rolls onto his feet and jerks his tail behind himself and out of range of nose tickles.

"I am awake. I'm also a boy cat and not interested in marriage!" he says, undeterred from his statements despite fingers that immediately set upon tweaking his whiskers.

Corvus blinks! "Wha, I'm here because Gull said I'd meet a cat." he says. "Also I am not tasty please don't eat me." he insists.

Haruna takes her clip and puts it back in her hair with a soft brush and a pat. There.

"Artemis, what's it like bein a kitty!?" she asks wide eyed. She blinks. "Oh. Okay! I didn't know! I /thought/ Artemis was a boy's name but wasn't sure!" she pauses.

"So why does she have a tiara for you?" she asks and also looks up at Sailor Venus asking the same question.

Minako Aino/Sailor V is quick to correct: "No no no, Artemis is definitely a girl's name. A girl goddess. She's Greek! It's ok, though, we still love Artsy," she says, petting Artemis at a level that is affectionate enough to be annoying. She also interrupts the first thing out of Artemis' mouth and explains the tiara is for prettying up white fur that never stays clean - Artemis knocks the tiara off and gives it a punchy scratch.

"Being a cat is a lot like being a human," he begins, unphased at the question, sitting himself down prim and proper before replying with the grace of somebody practiced from a long time spend fielding all sorts of ridiculous questions. It's intentionally vague, more talking about everyday difficulties of being below the eye line of everybody else he meets rather than a philisophical consideration of the question.

"And I'm not going to eat you!" Artemis concludes, little claws popping out, frustrated from being told 'not to eat birds' over two dozen times already and hearing it yet again.

Corvus gives a deep sigh. "Oh thank lord Haruna didn't come here to secretly kill me." he says dramatically.

"Hey---I know a good place to get burgers. We should go sometimes." he insists. "I can tell you all about Haruna and why she's a klutz and should just use the int---"

Haruna is giving the HARDEST GLARE right now.

"I..I'm just being silly." he insists.

Haruna looks down at Artemis. "Oh. Well. I mean. Human and with a tail and fuzzy cute ears." she insists and crosses her arms.

Corvus just shrugs. "I was never human ever." he says.

Minako Aino/Sailor V keeps petting Artemis, pushing on his head with her fingers until it's bouncing up and down. "Don't worry, birdy, nobody here will secretly kill you," she promises, crossing her heart. "Artemis only eats rats and tiny little birds that fall from nests," she says, spoken entirely reassuringly.

"That's a lie!" For her kitty-compliments, Haruna gets a new friend in the form of a nuzzly white cat, shoving his head and the little ribbon on top all against her as cats are wont to do.

"OOooOoooOOOOoh, I like burgers," V begins, realizing she's hungry. She even gives a lick of her lips. "Are these the romance burgers I've been hearing so much about lately?"

Haruna Kurosawa blinks. "Ah..yeah. I'm Cure Gull..." she says sheepishly. "So that would be the romance burgers. I guess. I didn't really have time to go back there recently. I've been feel not really well."

But then cat luv happens and she gives Artemis a pet, and more pets and stroke right up the tail~ She thinks cats like that. She isn't sure.

"He works every night thou. I think he just takes the night shift so his parents can rest or somethin. Sometimes he's doin school work when bussiness gets slow."

She pauses. Right---she'd be watching... maybe.... maybe.... *blush*

"Yeah." she says.

Artemis spends the time invested in enjoying pettings, only flicking his tail a little bit when it gets pet. What he really hates is when fingers barely touch the fur on his ears or sneakily touch whiskers just out of his peripheral vision so it suddenly feels like a wall is slamming into his side or he's randomly falling over.

Minako does both of these while he's distracted.

"Oooh, sounds like you've been 'investigating'," Sailor V notes, making sure to enunciate and stretch out that one word so much if takes up over half the sentence. "Sneeaaaaky. In that case, I gotta check this place out sometime. It's a date," she declares.

"A people date, not a weird catbird cross-species pet date."

Haruna Kurosawa blinks. "Well...okay...?" she says. She doesn't get things. She bets Sailor V makes her out to be silly and she's gonna have to be Cure Gull and-- she's not even famous like Sailor V is. She bets Sailor V just hogs all this guys attention anyways. She's Sailor V, and she's---- Cure NobodyParticular. Yeah.

Corvus can feel this, as he is won't to do and hops back up to Gull's shoulder. Birdnuzzle~

"So... I guess we can do that soon. I hope no one else is around...." she murmurs. Ugh butterflies. In her stomach.

"I should go now though. This--this was fun." she smiles.

"You be a good kitty, Arty~" she sings a little and smiles at Sailor V. "It was nice talkin to you and meeting your cat!" she smiles.

Minako Aino/Sailor V gives you a salute, standing up at the end of the table. "Alright! Next time will be burger night! You'll LoveLove it," she declares, lovingly retrieving her tiara and reaching out to try and crown Corvus the emperor of tea gardens while all the animals cuddle Haruna.

"And don't you worry, Arty will be the best kitty she can be," she says, interrupting Artemis' reply by stuffing him back into her bag with a 'meow'.

"And if anybody is around... I'll rough 'em right off," she promises before swinging her catbag over her shoulder and dashing and jumping away in a style uncomfortable for cats in bags.
