Haruna Kurosawa has arrived into the store. There's some things of note- the first is that Haruna hasn't particularly looked this 'calm' and 'happy' and 'normal' in a long time and it almost ooooozes out into the surrounding area. Almost. The second is that there is a bird that....appears(?) to be Corvus except this is most certainly a seagull and not a raven!
Also, she has in tow, a visitor with her. She looks a little like Haruna. Just a tad older. Shorter hair. Just a tad taller, but looks nearly the same age.
"Huh..." says the girl who isn't Haruna. "How long this place been opened?" she asks looking around a bit.
Haruna blinks. "It's always been here? Anyways...mph, we need...snacks and-- to stock up on.. dorm things..." she pauses.
"Maybe Yuko-chan is somewhere around here....." she begins to peek around sneakily. Yuko's always hit and miss, you never know when she's working or not!
Also she glances for sale signs.
It's a regular day in the supermarket, with customers coming and going at regular intervals from the small array of cash registers. Although Haruna and her companion get some heads turned in their direction, the part-timers manning the registers don't seem to pay them nor the seagull too much mind.
Have they been informed about Corvus already? Whatever the case is, the three go unbothered by the actual employees! The green-haired girl is, as usual, handling the snacks aisle and replacing the empty sections with even more snacks. She doesn't spot those girls just yet, focused on trying to get as many of those bags onto the shelf as possible without having to go back and forth between the shelves and the cart more than necessary.
Coincidentally, today's sales are mostly focused in the snack aisle! Remember to check the expiration dates.
Haruna Kurosawa peeks over an aisle self and---green hair working at a shelf! It's Yuko! She peeks back down and sneaks on over back to the other girl, and grabs her hand and drags her over toward's Yuko. "Ah--hey. What's up." she says. "Come on...I want you to meet someone!~" says Haruna.
She stops in front of Yuko! Aha!
"Yuko-chan~" she beams. "Yuko.. um. This is... my sister. Aki." she says. Yes. Aki. The one that supposedly died two years ago but was actually captured in one of Phantom's freaky mirrors. Yuko's heard this story from Haruna before. "Aki, this is my good friend, Yuko Minami! She's a part of the family that owns the shop!" she beams.
Aki ohs! "Oh! Well, hello!" she says with a warm smile. "It's nice to meet more of Haruna's friends." she says with a smile.
"Oh, are you stocking?" she asks curiously.
Corvus yawns on Haruna's shoulder. "Obviously." he says.
Haruna peeks over and grabs a bag of chips. She peeks. Okay, expires tommorow but that's fine!
"Um..wanted. To bring her here to meetcha." Haruna says with a series of nods, maybe a blush.
"So what's good on sale today?" she asks with wide eyes.
Hearing Haruna greeting her, Yuko blinks and turns quickly with a practiced customers-only smile . "Welcome! Is there anything I-" She blinks slowly once she realizes that it is, in fact, Haruna and not just another customer, and the smile broadens into an actually genuine smile.
"Hi, Haruna-chan~ This is...?" There's another bout of slow blinking as Aki is introduced, each piece of her identity clicking into place after several moments. Once everything fits together in her head, she returns Aki's smile fondly. "Oh! Hi there, Aki-chan. It's great to finally meet you, too. Haruna-chan's been taking good care of you, riiight?"
There's a bit of teasing in her voice, although it's fairly evident what the answer to that would probably be anyway. Giggling lightly to herself, she nods at Aki while reaching over to try and pet Corvus. "Yep! Oh, you'll wanna grab the ones in the back. Better dates on those unless you know you're gonna finish 'em this week."
Only better by a day, but still double the time!
"Have you been doing okay? Ooh, the good ones today... We got this lattice-cut chip a while back, but they're finally on sale this week. Really crunchy, if you don't mind only two flavors."
Haruna Kurosawa just begins filling a basket. She has to buy for two now! That's okay because Miss White pays good. She peeks over to those lattice chips and huhs and grabs a couple. "Okay then~ Oh.... um...."
She leans over to Aki and whispers something in her ear. '*mumble mumble Boost mumble*' because there are people there. Aki eyes light up. "Oh...! I see." she winks at Yuko for no particular reason. "Yeah---she's taking care of me. Sorry! I didn't feel any.. uh. Passage of time while I was----'in a coma'." heavily implied 'not a coma'. "So.. it's been disorienting for me because so much has changed, but I'm dealing."
Corvus accepts pets and preens because of course he does.
Haruna has a basket full of snacks. She's still grabbing. She might make Aki grab another basket soon, regardless, she looks at Yuko. "Hey.... Yuko-chan...how would you like to help a beautiful young entrepreneur!?" she asks.
Aki dryly. "A beautiful entrepreneur!? Where!?" she begins searching the top of the store.
Haruna huffs. "Mean..." she says crossing her arms. Corvus giggles.
Yuko giggles lightly at Aki's wink, returning it with one of her own. "I see, I see... Well, it's good to have you back, then. You know you and Haruna-chan both know where to find me in case more 'comas' come and..."
Wait. Did that even make sense? "... More comas come to.. Coma at... Uh." The green-haired girl crosses her arms and huffs lightly, a thoughtful look coming over her face. She'll figure out a proper analogy, dammit! "... If more people try to coma... You."
Good enough.
Another giggle escapes the girl as Haruna makes that proposal and Aki looks around. So that's what having siblings is like! "Oh, that's mean, Aki-chan~ aah, so. What'd you have in mind?" She resumes restocking, albeit at a slower pace to be able to keep paying attention to the conversation. "I don't have much in terms of investment funds, but I can help with other stuff. Maybe."
Depending on how lazy she's feeling.
Haruna squints. "What no...I meant.. well... see! I'm making these hairclips...like mine see!" she says, hairflip-kind of- showing off her hairclip. "---and in some different styles and colors and trying to get some stores to pickup maybe a small like counter display or something like that! Think you could talk your family into doing something like that!?" she says. "I can bring a display over later to show you! But...only made a couple." she mutters.
"I've been helping!" says Aki. "I work on that kinda stuff good." she says. "Designing, making stuff..." she grabs a few snacks of her own and stuffs them into the basket. Whoops! That is getting full now.
"This is a nice place. How long have you guys been here?" Aki asks scratching her head.
"Hairclips? Hmm... We don't have a lot of hair accessories yet." Yuko strokes her chin lightly while leaning in to peer at Haruna's hairclip, giggling lightly at the hairflip preceding it. "Definitely a good chance of selling those since they're better than what we got now. It's all... You know. Boring bands and butterflies and stuff. And not even like the ones from any series or..."
She freezes up for a moment. She almost let that little detail slip! Clearing her throat, Yuko puts on a broad grin and rests her hands on her hips. "I can talk to my folks, sure. We can set up a date for you to meet with 'em, plan out how we'll stock the hairclips, maybe even set up a stand or two in the aisles..." She grins at Aki, both at the mention of helping and at seeing all those snacks going into that basket. Even with employee discounts, there's still money to be made!
"Oh, we've been here as long as I can remember. Maybe longer, even?" She shrugs lightly. "Never really asked mom and dad about when they got this place, actually... I was just born into it, you know?" She pauses for a moment, then glances up and down the aisle before leaning back on one of the heavier-looking carts. "What about you two? Uh. Work-wise, I mean. Any of that, or mostly justa after-school clubs?"
Haruna is asked about jobs and there's a freeze and she looks at Aki. And Aki looks back at her, and there's a tense moment there for some reason. Aki speaks up finally. "Haruna works for someone.". Haruna takes a deep breath and a sigh. Aki continues. "I'm not working yet but looking! I'm in the Dance Club. Haruna's thinking Kickboxing for some reason I don't know why." she says.
Haruna huffs and just places hands on her hips.
Aki slips on over and stage whispers. "It's because the girl she likes and is maybe dating is in it." she mutters.
Haruna just lights up in a blush. "Wha!? Hey! Stop that!" she says pointing.
"Ahahaha! I knew it!" she says. Corvus is also giggling because he's mover over to Aki's shoulder so he's safe from RETRIBUTION!
She peeks back at Yuko. "You hirin?" she asks Aki.
Although she notices that brief tension, Yuko doesn't appear to pay much mind to it. Money's money, after all! "I understand. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll both get better positions once there's no more school to worry about." Another light giggle later, and she tilts her head at Aki mentioning kickboxing.
"Oh? Wait... Don't you go to Infinity? Then you could train with... Hannah-chan." She's still smiling, although there's suddenly a pained look in her eyes as if she's remembering something terrible.
No more running.
Yuko's snapped back to reality once Aki mentions the notion of dating, and her head tilts ever so slowly to the side with a curious glint appearing in her eyes. "Ohhh? A forbidden romance, then?" The grin goes just a bit wider, although there's something a little... Odd about it and the quiet giggling coming from her. "Hehe... Don't worry. I'll cheer you on from the sidelines, then!"
Just what's she imagining, anyway? "Aaaanyway. Uh... If you're looking for work, I could ask my parents about a cashier position. One of the part-timers left, so maybe you could swoop in."
Aki grins. "Oh! Hannah-chan! That's the girl, actually....~" she says. Haruna blushes MORE fiercely. Then there's a foot stamp. Because that's what Haruna does. She stamps down on Aki's foot and it's intentional. "Ow!" goes Aki.
"Sure..that sounds good!" she says to Yuko as she shakes her foot. Haruna huffs and crosses her arms and then peeks at Yuko...
"Yeah---um. Hannah-chan and I did go out on a date! and it was fun! And we're doing it again!" she says matter of factly! She doesn't confirm or deny anything else.
Aki grins, and peeks back at Yuko and squints.
"You seem to have a thought in your head, wassup?" Aki asks.
Yuko's head starts tilting in the other direction. "Hannah-chan...? Then that means that date was..." The giggling continues for a little while longer until she finally snaps out of that line of thinking (again) at the pained sound from Aki, then those questions. "Eh? O-oh, nothing, nothing. It's just nice seeing young love blossoming, all while fighting valiantly in the shadows..."
Not that she knows anything about Hannah's identity, of course. If only she did!
"I'm curious, though... When did you two hit it off? I mean... How do you even find out without worrying about... You know. Parents?" She says that last bit quietly, glancing up and down the aisle just to make sure nobody's listening in or noticing that she hasn't left the aisle in quite some time now. She can't have people knowing she's lazy, after all!
Aki seems to nod a little. "I see... well. I'mma gonna go fill out an application then or speak to someone in charge then." she says as she walks towards the front. Corvus hops off onto Haruna's shoulder with a quick little flap over. She peeks at Yuko-chan and helps her put some stuff on the shelf while she talks so she can look unlazy.
She doesn't mind doing work for free if it's for a friend~ <3.
Haruna ehs.."Um..it's a long long story Yuko-chan." she says softly. "Just...Hannah was the first friend I made in a long time.. and..I can tell you more later...if you want but..not here." she says a little more seriously and looks down.
She blinks.. "Oh. Um. I don't have that problem...." she says softly. "I mean.. um. Me and Aki have parents just they don't care." she says silently.
Yeah all that chipperness and happiness went out the door right quick.
"You're lucky to have parents who care Yuko-chan!" she finally says, managing to summon up a wide smile!
Yuko's certainly not going to complain about getting free help! She nods once at Haruna's request to put the topic of her relationship with Hannah off until later, offering the girl a gentle smile without saying another word on that. Instead, she just ruffles a few bags to not feel too much like she's lazing around while Haruna's actually doing work. Besides, the sound of ruffling chip bags makes it sound like she's doing more than she really is!
"You don't? Wha... O-oh. Uh." The green-haired girl opens her mouth and shuts it several times before stepping forward to try and catch Haruna in a sudden hug!
"That sucks... Ehm. Sorry to hear that. But you know what? You still got each other and Hannah and me and everyone else." She offers her a wide grin in return. "And like that phrase goes... Uh. What was it again? 'Blood of the covenant thicker than water of the womb'? So.. Something like that!
