Ahhh a peaceful spring day. The sun is high and warm. Everything is as it should be well not everything but its still a good day. Sierra's parents are still out of town. They likely won't be back for a week or two at best. So, rather then stay cooped up in the apartment, she has opted to go out and see about finding something to eat maybe. Or maybe she just wants to enjoy the lovely day. Either way its a chance to think about what in tarnation happened last night!
Quietly she walks along the the road making her way towards the park. She walks past an all too familiar tree that is missing half its leaves. It kinda helps to see the tree during the day. It helps to let her know what happened was not a dream. Kit pops out and looks up at the tree. Thats all it takes for her to start laughing all over again. This gets Sierra laughing again. The two laugh all the way to the park where they finally seem to start pulling themselves together.
It certainly is a beautiful spring day. Utau has spent far too long being cooped up in Easter Towers, practicing hard for her next concert. And ever since she fled from Kukai and the others, she has slowly been returning to her old ways.
But on such a warm and sunny day, it's hard to be caught up in one's own world once you step outside. Once she forced herself to step outside of her apartment, Utau headed to her favorite park and was soon wandering around the botanical gardens, smelling the fragrant blooming flowers and surrounded by butterflies.
If only for a moment, she is able to forget her many problems..
"So if while I am changed, It unlocked the potential inside me, how in the world did I do what I did last night? Magic isn't exactly a common thing is it?" Sierra asks as she sits in the soft grass. Her eyes are dead set on Kit as she hopes for some sort of answer.
"I dunno! You should ask the Guardians about it. Speaking of have you seen Kukai-san and Daichi-san around lately? I ain't seen em anywhere. I'm a little worried." Kit comments as she hovers in front of Sierra.
"No I haven't. Maybe I should ask around." Sierra comments as leans back and looks up at the sky. She's not noticed Utau yet. Kit however has sensed both Eru and Iru. She takes off flying her way over towards Utau.
"Hiya Utau-san! Hows it going?" The little pilot asks as she floats along.
Utau tries to lose herself in the beautiful scent of flowers, feeling the cool breeze on her skin. When is the last time she visited the botanical gardens..?
~She briefly remembers how 'he' leaned in to kiss her..Before Eru blurted out that he had kissed so many other girls first..She didnt need to tell Iru twice to transform...~
Both Eru and Iru suddenly straighten up, sensing another guardian chara around. When Kit calls out Utau's name, it is Eru who responds first, smiling brightly at Kit and flying towards her, "Kit-chan! How nice to see you again! It's been a while!" of course she's only really met her once, but Eru is always eager to make new friends.
Iru as usual, hangs back a bit, remembering how she had helped Utau to nearly destroy the birth of Kit, and perhaps they might have even turned her into an X-chara instead. "Hmph, it's the little brat again..."
Finally, Utau straightens up from sniffing a rosebud, peering towards Kit, her expression cool, but not hostile. "Oh, it's you again. So I suppose that means Sierra-san is not far behind..?"
Kit waves to Eru and flies towards her. "Hiya Eru-chan! Nice t' see ya again! Its been too long!" She then looks over to Iru and waves, "Yup! It's that brat again. Ain't that such a horrible thing! Maybe yall should head t' the hills!" She comments.
Finally Kit turns her attention to Utau. She smiles softly and nods, "Well, she's over there having a mental break down over something she did last night. She sorta discovered a little of what she can do! It was really cool! She asked me to change her so she could better motivate someone and next think we knew she blew half the leaves off a tree! It was funny!"
Utau largely ignores both Iru and Eru and listens to what Kit has to say, frowning softly about the 'mental break' bit. "Hmm, her first character change, I take it?" she sighs, shaking her head, heading back in the direction that Sierra is. "Did those Guardians not teach her a thing? How useless.." She mutters.
After a moment, Iru and Eru chase after her. "Heey! Wait for us, Utau-chan!"
Finally reaching where Sierra is, Utau notices the half-damaged tree with a slight frown, but it is Sierra she wants to talk to. "Sierra-san. It's been a while..did you do that?" a nod is given towards the damaged tree, although she looks more impressed than upset with her.
Kit shakes her head, "Not her first. Just the first time she actually used any magic from it. She didn't even know it was possible!" Kit states as she follows Utau back over to Sierra.
Meanwhile, Sierra is still lying with her back on the ground. Her gaze is focused on the clouds above. She happens to be looking for shapes in them and just laughing at some of them. Then there is Utau! "Oh hey! Hows it going, Utau-san? Yes that was my doing last night. I can't believe that happened. It was awesome and scary and just woah!" Okay maybe Kit was exaggerating a little. She doesn't seem to be losing it over the deal. She just seems excited over the whole thing. "I was trying to help someone. Kit and Chara changed and I guess I gota little carried away. I didn't even think I could do anything like that."
Utau arches a brow, "Trouble? What sort of trouble?" After a moment, she takes a seat on the grass next to Sierra, peering back at her thoughtfully. Perhaps it was wise of her not to attack her that day. Afterall, now that her egg is hatched, she may well have the necessary potential to help Utau save Ikuto.
"Yeah, I guess it can feel like that, when you accept your inner self. It can be..Exhilirating. Have you managed to chara transform, yet?"
Sierra Earhart smiles a little to Utau as she sits beside her. She doesn't answer that first question right away. Instead she waits and answers the next one first. "Not yet. I do wanna try some time but I dunno how to. Kukai-san offered to show me how sometime but I haven't seen him in a week. I'm kinda worried about him. Don't worry it's not like 'that'. He's sorta like a big brother. Anyway I hope he is alright."
And then it is on to the other question. Shetakes a deep breath and just sorta frowns. "I met Yoru. He's been looking for your brother. He's very worried about him. I offered to help in any way I can. I was trying to help him out to not lose hope. I never seen a kitty so happy as when I blew the leaves off that tree though. Kit and I couldn't help but laugh at him going after the leaves." She giggles a little at the momory. "I guess this means I'm going to help you by default because I wasn't joking about the helping and helping you will help Yoru."
Utau arches a brow at the mention of Kukai, and that seems to put her back in a bad mood again. "Hmph. I'm sure he doesn't see you as just a little sister, he'll probably hit on you, sooner or later.." Her tone is bitter, and probably a tiny bit angry, but moreso towards the Guardian than towards Sierra. At least she's not trying to flirt with him, and Utau trusts her.
"He's fine. But, he did something REALLY stupid, attacked WPS after Miss White attacked a bunch of people and stole their X-eggs, using some sort of device. I suppose he thought they were holding the X-eggs and not Easter. Either way, he was outnumbered and out-gunned. He got hit pretty hard, blasted into a building and knocked unconscious.."
For a moment, Utau seems thoughtful, her expression even softenning just a touch. "I...Was really worried, but they said he'd pull through. Actually, Eru recently informed me that he had woken up, but...I'm sure I'm the last person he wants to see."
At the mention of Yoru however, Utau seems to lighten up just a bit. "He's Ikuto's guardian character. I met him once, briefly. Didnt even know that he had a guardian character. But if he isn't reunited with Ikuto soon, and Ikuto forgets about him, then he may very well disappear.."
Finally, she looks back at Sierra a little coldly when she makes that last comment, "Wait, what's that mean? You're willing to help Yoru, and you'll only help me by default!?"
Sierra gasps and is definitely saddened over the idea of anyone losing their guardian characters. Especially one as sweet as Yoru seemed to be but that just seems to spark her spirit a little more. "We gotta reunite the two of them. Utau-san, I want to help you get him back. I know I can't do much but I will do all I can to help." When Utau gets a little more snippy over things she chuckles a little, "Has anyone told you, you read too much into things? I actually want to help you out. I'd offer even if I hadn't met Yoru. It's what good people do for each other right?
*SWAT!* Right upside the head. Kit rolls her eyes, "Hey! I'm right here Sierra-chan! Ain't no time for doubtin yourself. If'n ya wanna help Yoru and Utau-san then ya need to stop doubting! You can do more than ya think. Sit up and look. You did that! You ain't helpless! You're a Chara bearer and together, we're awesome!"
Sierra winces, "Hey OW! That hurt Kit! Yeesh!" She does as she is told to do. She sits up and looks at the tree she nearly destroyed. A soft sigh escapes her lips, "Sorry. We can do it. I know we can." She states. Then back to Utau, "I will drop in and visit Kukai-san. I wouldn't be much of a friend if I didn't.
Utau smirks, "Seriously? I have every right to be paranoid over that guy..I really believed in him, and we were getting closer to each other, before he pulled all this crap on me. It's a little upsetting, you know, watching someone you like suddenly hitting on everyone else." She sighs, "Well anyways, I dont want to talk about HIM anymore!"
Folding her arms, Utau looks away, towards the sky and the gently rolling clouds. She's getting all worked up again, and needs distraction. If only Norie were here, then they could stir up some trouble together..Sierra would certainly not approve of her latest habits..
"Once you get to know Kit better and believe in yourself, you will become unstoppable. I'd suggest you try getting one of the Guardians to train you but.." she shrugs. They have hardly been helpful, or around much, lately.

"I meant you getting upset over me offering to help Yoru and you thinking I meant you as and after thought. Not the case. And yeah, you can be paranoid over him. Thats your right. You like him. I'm staying out of your way. I may be crazy at times but I ain't stupid enough to get between you and him." Sierra states in a rather leery tone.
She looks at Utau and shrugs, "I wouldn't know. I mean, Kukai is the only one I've encountered regularly. I met Tadase-san and Amu-san once. Not at all since then. So I've been trying to learn as I go. Kukai taught me about Chara Transformation and such but I've no idea how it's done. He taught me a lot so far to be honest. Like I said, Big Brother type." She laughs.
Utau is silent for a long time, lost in her own thoughts. "So..Are you saying you would have still helped me, even if it weren't for Yoru?" she still eyes her warily, but hey, at least Utau's not trying to hurt her chara or anything!
"Forget it. To feel something for someone and get jealous because you're not as special to him as you thought is just silly and weak. I should never have openned my heart to anyone, or let down my guard in the first place.." she shrugs, her gaze hardenning once more. Her experience with him sure left her bitter.
"I just want to focus on freeing Ikuto. That's the most important thing to me right now." Utau decides not to mention how her manager recently promised to let her see Ikuto again, if she collected enough X-eggs..Or how she's been doing exactly that, if only in covert ways, stealing from people who tried to take advantage of her, because it felt justified.
"If you want to help me free Ikuto, then you'll need to learn to chara transform soon. Really, it all comes down to accepting Kit as a part of yourself and openning your heart to her, and not being afraid of the possibilities, no matter what. If Kukai's taught you that much, then maybe he can help you get closer to transforming.."
Sierra Earhart nods slowly, "Yes, Utau-san, I'd of helped even if I never met Yoru. You were trying to keep me from getting too involved. Remember? You didn't want to overwhelm me. I'd of been overwhelmed no matter what. This is a lot for anyone to take in but as freaky I am finding Easter these days, I wouldn't do nothing. Been around the American military too long to not get involved in things that don't concern me." She states with a wink. "I guess I think of you as a sort of friend."
Then she just listens to her words. She is definitely a little worried about Utau given that she is at ground zero for all of this madness. When she brings up Chara Transformation she shakes her head, "He didn't go into the hows of doing it. He just said he'd show me eventually." She looks to Kit and smiles, "Well, There is no doubt that Kit is a part of me. She's just one I didn't really believe could exist until she showed up and now I dunno if I could be without her."
Kit looks really serious all of the sudden, "What about if we go flying? You're dream is to be a pilot. To Soar above the clouds. Can you accept that possibility? That you will have to get your feet off the ground, givin up that fear of heights you like t' bring up all the time?"
Utau seems somehow..Amused, by Sierra's admission, calling her a sort-of friend. She is certainly lacking in friends, although she's always pushed people away and never really wanted - or needed - to rely on them. Not until she realized that the only way to free Ikuto was to depend on others.
"Friend huh? I dunno if I should be flattered by that or not, but I suppose I appreciate it. I am curious though, are you planning on going into the super hero business from this point on? Or is this just a one time thing, saving Ikuto, because it's 'the right thing' to do'?"
She narrows her eyes for a moment, looking intently at her. "Because, sometimes I'll do the wrong things for the right reasons. If you're planning on joining the guardians, it'd be nice to know if I'd be fighting you at some point.."
And it's all very weird, trying to help someone become strong so that she might turn against Utau someday..Seems, she doesn't yet completely trust her, even if she does, a little.
All this time, Iru paces at a safe distance, having already decided she's not overly fond of Sierra or Kit, and Eru listens intently to the conversation, smiling happily at Kit's suggestion.
"Eru thinks that's a great idea, Kit-chan! You two should go on a plane ride! I'll bet it'll open so many doors for you! Eru cant wait to see what you can do!! Can you show her the tricks you've learned so far!?"
Sierra shrugs, "I dunno. I've not thought about it and haven't been around the Guardians enough to know if I even get along with them, save for Kukai. What I do know is saving Ikuto-san is the right thing to do and to not help out would be completely wrong of me.
She then smiles a little. "The best of intentions is a nasty thing. They can lead ya to do some really messed up stuff all in the name of good. Lets just say if we do wind up fighting eachother it will be no different from any other friendship I've had save for the potential for actual collateral damage." She winces a little but hey she is right.
Then with Kit right in her face she is actually forced to think. She looks around and up at the sky. "I ummm. Yes?" She states nervously.
While Eru's ideas are really good, Kit has something else in mind right now, "Prove it, girly! See that tree right there. The BIG one! Climb it! Get up there. Don't show me that you believe what you're saying. Show yourself! You gotta believe."
"I see.." She just nods slowly, pondering other possibilities right now and sighs, hugging her legs. "I suppose I should thank you then, although if we don't succeed in freeing Ikuto, things might just get worse for me. I'm not sure what they'd do to me if we failed, perhaps they would turn me into a zombie like they did Ikuto...."
Iru zips up to her shoulder, grinning, "Dont worry, Utau-chan! Things will work out! We'll free Ikuto, and if worse comes to worse, we'll just have to pretend to fight the baddies long enough to get to him!" she grins impishly.
When Kit challenges Sierra, Eru smiles and nods, fluttering up to The girl. "Yeah, that's a good idea! How about it, Sierra-chan? I know you can get over your fear of heights! Remember what that pin represents!"
Sierra Earhart looks to Utau and nods, "Don't thank me til we get Ikuto free. That is the most important thing right now." She nods, "Iru is right, I think. Things are going to work out. We'll save him."
Then Sierra is challenged. She not only has Kit pushing her but now also Eru. She looks at the tree and the oh so familiar dread sets in. "Pardon me a moment, Utau-san I apparently need to climb a tree." She gets up. Her body is shaking wildly as she takes hold of a low branch and pulls herself up.
Utau nods. "Even so, Iru may be right. I may have to pretend to fight you just enough to throw Easter off-guard, although that can get tricky if you start to lose..." she sighs, this could get ugly if they don't succeed. But Sierra is right. She needs to think positive, and Utau's not used to failing. In fact, that word's not in her vocabulary. "Alright, then I'll do my best too.."
Then Sierra is busy climbing a tree, and both Eru, and even Iru start cheering her on. Seems she's only pretending to dislike her and her chara. "Come on, Sierra-chan! You can do it! Believe in yourself! Dont be afraid!"
Sierra is very focused. She barely hears the cheering of the three Charas. Kit has joined in the cheering section of course. Her body is still shaking as she continues to make her way up to the top of the tree. It takes her a few minutes but she does make it to the top. She takes a deep breath and looks out across the park. Her fear gives way to excitement. The view is amazing and she is kinda enjoying it. "I DID IT!" She cheers as she slowly works her way back to the ground.
A few minutes pass before Sierra sets her feet back on the ground. Her body is trembling from the adrenaline running through her. She smiles bright. "I made it!" She then sits down and recollects her breath.
Kit flies up to her and hugs her as tight as she can. "I knew ya could do it! You got what it takes! As long as you keep on believing there ain't nothin we can't do!" She comments as she clings to the much larger bluenette.
Sierra looks at Kit, then ar Eru and Iru with that warm smile, "Thank you. Thank you all so much. It really is possible." She smiles a little more then turns her attention back to Utau. "If we have to put on a show, I will help out as best I can. We'll make sure neither of us gets hurt." She looks at Kit fondly. There is something there. A courage that wasn't there when they first met. "Kit, I think maybe we should try it."
Utau watches with a faint smile as Sierra scales the tree, watching as the confidence slowly comes back to her as she makes it to the top. She holds her breath only briefly, knowing a lot of the time, it's even harder climbing back down.
However, she's quite impressed when Sierra is able to make it back down the way she came, enough that she actually stands up, nodding to her appraisingly, "Good job, Sierra-san. I'd say you're halfway there already."
Both Iru and Eru clap and cheer when she makes it down in one piece, Eru squealing and jumping up and down, "Yay, Sierra-chan! I knew you cuold do it! Eru knows you can help free Ikuto-kun too!"
Sierra Earhart smiles softly to Utau. "Thank you Utau-san. I think Kit and I should try transforming, just once." She gives a very natural and warm smile as she gets focused. Turning to her chara, "Kit, Lets FLY!"
Kit smiles and then Salutes as her brown and orange egg appears and closes on the Chara. Sierra spreads her arms like wings as kit joins with her heart. In unison with kit she speaks out, "Flying Wings!" Suddenly her clothing shifts, becoming much more like kits, including the leather jacket and the goggles. A tight materal connects her sides with her arms, giving her what looks like wings. Then the show fades and the girl standing there definitely looks more intense then the girl who was there just moments ago. She looks down over herself and laughs almost in disbelief! "Woah. Okay this is awesome!"
Utau hmms, "Are you ready for that yet? Not all character bearers can transform.." However, it seems she has enough strength of heart to do it. And Utau smiles slightly as she watches the lightshow, looking quite impressed.
"Not bad, Sierra-san.." She walks around her, appraising her new attire. Looks like you finally managed to do it..Can you fly, too?" she nods towards the wings thoughtfully, wondering if they're just for show.
Eru and Iru cheer enthusiastically, "C'mon, Sierra-chan! Fly for us!"
Sierra giggles a little and shrugs, "Guess I'm about to find out." She answers. "Leeets Go!" She jumps and doesn't come back down. She goes flying and she ain't moving slow. Straight up into the clouds she goes, her arms spread wide. She breathes in the rarified air as she takes in the shear beauty of it all. "Oh this is AWESOME!"
She quickly dives back down. Her heart is racing. Everything within her. Her fears, Her dreams, her faith, Everything just forms into one tight ball in her stomach as dhe drops down at speeds reserved for aircraft. Right towards Utau, Iru and Eru. She pulls up leaving a small puff of dust in her wake. She quickly does a summersault only to turn around and come back in for a landing. She comes to a stop and touches down.
"ohmygodsohmygodsohmygods That was so freaking awesome!!" She moves her goggles off her eyes and there is a bit of dirt on her face from the flight. Her eyes being the only clean part. She quickly takes the scarf and wipes her face off. "That was so cool. I am really tired. Kukai was right, this definitely exhuasting but oh it is so worth it!"
Utau arches a brow at Sierra's new costume..Why, it kinda reminds her of a certain Guardian's outfit. But she decides to keep quiet about that. Watching Sierra fly up in the sky, Utau's almost tempted to follow her, but it's not long before the bluenette returns to the ground, face flushed with excitement.
"Yeah, flying's pretty exhilirating and gives you a new sense of freedom, Sierra-san..I'm glad you were able to bond closer with Kit." she smirks, flying can come in handy, but she needs heavy hitters to take on Death Rebel.
"So, what else are you capable of, in this form?"
The rookie flyer shrugs, "Ya got me. I'ven o clue. I know I can probably do what I did the tree." She looks for a target. Ahh! Bingo. Empty trash can!" She quickly points a hand to it, "JET STREAM!" A blast of high speed wind goes flying at the trash can sending it flying a good hundred feet. "Glad that was empty."
Then she thinks a little. "I think, I can use my wake to push things out of the way. It would likely knock someone off their feet I think. But I dunno." She stats and then with a small flash she reverts back to her normal self. Kit comes out laughing her little butt off.
Utau nods slowly, pondering if she should push her further, but this is her first time transforming. So far, she's impressed her with her ability to fly and to launch a blast of wind, but will it be enough against the likes of Easter?
However, as she powers down, it seems that she's not trained enough to maintain her form for extended periods of time yet.
"Hmmm, we'll have to work on that then. I'd be happy to spar with you a couple of times in the future if that will help with your training..But I guess that's a lot for today. Also remember that if you lose your concentration, or lose confidence, it makes it easier for you to lose your transformation.."
Sierra Earhart nods and goes for her bag. She pulls out a bottle of water and takes a long sip. She desperately needed this. "I look forward to that. This was just really intense. Being up there, seeing everything and breathing in the air it was so surreal. Am I dreaming?" She asks.
Kit is flying around excitedly. "Did yall see us! We were totally up there! Flying on our own with the wind on our face. It was totally awesome!"%
Utau shakes her head. "No..This is very real, I'm glad that I didnt end up stealing your heart's egg and turning it into an X-egg.." she frowns a bit and sighs.
"But, there is nothing I can do about the hundreds of other people whose hearts eggs I stole, in order to protect Ikuto..Lately I've been having disturbing nightmares, soo..I just hope we can free him so that I can put an end to all of it."
Iru and Eru giggle excitedly, nodding to Sierra, "We saw you! You were amazing! Next time, let's fly together!" Iru says with an impish grin, "Guess you're not so bad afterall!"
Inspite of herself, Utau feels that she likes Sierra just a little bit more, not that she'd ever admit it. "Thanks, Sierra-chan..Well, I really have to get going. I'll see you soon.."
