Infinity Academy, a place that Suzuki had... honestly been visiting a lot more of late, between friends, and just general curiosity of the big, super-expensive school. It was an interesting difference from her own school, though she wouldn't transfer to it most likely.
It was ... definitely a bit late. Suzuki had had another fight with her parents over clothing or not wanting to be as 'traditional' or some other little thing. That honestly, Suzuki probably started in one of her more rebellious moods. She left the house, and after a bit of thinking... she decided she wanted to check up on one of her friends that she hadn't seen in a little while, and hopefully her sister.
And so, Suzuki shows up at Haruna's dorm room, knocking on the door carefully. She was carrying a small bag in her hands, an offering of sweets for Haruna and her sister(if she was there). Not nearly as big or over-the-top as the last one though, just a few cookies from one of the local supermarkets. There had been some chocolate, but it did not survive the trip to Haruna's. As usual, Suzuki didn't seem particularly upset, her usual relatively neutral self as she waits at the door.
Haruna Kurosawa is having her own family issues.
*** ABOUT AN HOUR AGO! ***
"What do you mean you're going to visit mom and dad!?" said Haruna angrily. "They barely even tried to talk to me after your-- your memorial service! And I tried really hard and they didn't care and they care now that you're alive!?" she said through seething teeth. Aki Kurosawa sighed and could only give Haruna Kurosawa a hug. "I know... I know. But they deserve to see me at least once, even though I don't like the idea either--- I'll be back before next week!" she smiled. Haruna could really only pout at the rational answer, because it WAS true, and off Aki Kurosawa left. Haruna still didn't like this. At least. Corvus was still here! Wait what. A note on his perch!? Nrg, he must had left while Aki was getting ready. 'Off playing Poker with some other Seagulls. Be back soon!~ :>'

*** NOW! ***
Haruna Kurosawa is opening her door looking a little mopey- "Yeah okay...how much do I-----". She pauses. Then her expression brightens! "Suzu-chan! I didn't know you were coming! I ordered some food! Um-- it's not here, but when it is, we can share it, come in!" she says as she practically pulls Suzuki in! Yay! Company! Yay! A Friend! -- wait why didn't she just call like. Katsu-chan or Suzu-chan or Hannah-chan or ... really anyone over for company or a sleepover? Ugh! Haruna Kurosawa isn't used to having friends in a situation where she'd normally just mope alone.
"Um... Aki's out of town until next week visiting..... the parents." she says with a groan. "Corvus is off... doing seagull things." she mutters. "So I'm all alone, I'm sorry!---um."
"You are here for me and not Aki right?" she asks sheepishly suddenly. Yeah. Loner. Used to being alone!
It seemed it wasn't just Suzuki who had had a fight that evening, but that was largely irrelevant. Suzuki was there for her friend, even if the cause had been the fight. Haruna's response got a slightly amused look from Suzuki, who lifted her arms to wrap her arms around her. "It was a somewhat uhm. Well, it was a quick decision. I should have texted you ahead of time, I'm sorry." Suzuki says, giving a bit of a chuckle as she's pulled inside. "I did bring food, though. Well. Cookies. but that's close enough to food, right?" She asks softly.
She pauses at the mention of Aki being out of town. Well, that meant she was likely doing well, which confirmed what Suzuki wanted to ask Aki about. If she was doing well. And if she was going on trips, she was probably fine!
"Oh. That's disappointing, I was hoping to check on Corvus as well as spend time with you. Still, it sounds like both of them are doing well, so that is fine. Largely I came here for /you/ though. Especially considering the conversation we had in texts before." Suzuki says softly, smiling as she gives Haruna a little squeeze. "More importantly than all of that, however. Have you been well? I haven't seen you in too long."
Haruna Kurosawa smiles and accepts the short hug and gently takes the cookies and opens the bag, placing them on a tiny table that two chairs sat at against the window. She sat down and patted the empty seat. "Sit down..." she offers. She says. "I'm fine. I just..."
She mehs. "I feel weak. I let the familiar of a friend drain me because she was so hurt. She's better now- thou...." she pauses. "Said some disturbing things." she says with a frown. "I already talked to said friend about it. I'm more concerned than worried." she says. "I'm still recovering from the drain. I was in Hannah's place when it happened so- wasn't in danger." she says. "Oh--I uh. Paniced. She went to save another world or dimension or something and I still remembered the Pretty Cure Graveyard so I freaked out- got Boris to lemme in to her apartment then I cooked her like a month's worth of Brunswick Stew from a recipe I found around her place." she says with a blush. "Then that's when my friend's partner came in all hurt and I helped her the best I could. Hannah came in to find me passed out with her. Heh. Hannah felt bad because she forgot to tell me she was going out to do something dangerous.
She beams and goes to grab a cookie when the electronic doorbell 'dings' "Oh! Just a moment!" she escapes over to the door, speaks to a delivery man, pays for a pizza box and walks back in. She places it down on the table. "Hannah said... that in America. They have a thing called... Haiwaan Pizza! So I got some!..."
She opens it.
"Ham and Pineapple...?"
"Pineapple on a pizza!?" she asks.
She taps her chin and pulls out some plates from a cupboard. She pulls out two slices each and offers a plate over to Suzuki.
She tastes a bit... chew. "Huh.. not bad. Weird. That kinda works with the ham..." she says softly.
"What do you think?" she asks with a smile.
The hug lasted a fairly long time! For Suzuki, who tended to be a bit awkward about hugs. She had needed a hug, and a part of her instinctually seemed to realize that Haruna just might need a hug as well. Especially from how she's beginning to talk. When she moves to sit, she rests comfortably and listens to her as she speaks.
"Well... it is understandable to feel weak when you just allowed someone to drain your energy, but I have the feeling it is a bit more than that, from the way you are speaking of it." Suzuki says softly, thinking silently with a very slight thoughtful frown. She didn't know much more to comment on it. And then... the mention of the panic and similar. She gives a small nod as she listens to that. "I see, that is definitely understandable. You were worried about her and possibly still are. Especially with her line of 'work'." Suzuki says softly, leaning slightly forward as she watches her face. Hmm. She was hurt. And needed energy. A familiar? Or maybe a Youma? Hmm! "That is definitely Hannah, she cares a lot. She has a big heart." Even if Suzuki didn't agree with some of her thoughts on things.
And then 'ding'!. Soon the pizza was acquired! She blinks a couple of moments as she listens to her. "Hawaiian pizza... that sounds like an exotic delicacy. ... Only.... pizza." And then it is revealed that it is pinapple and ham? "...I ... actually can believe that it works. Ham is a very sweet meat, so might not go badly with pineapple." Suzuki says, taking her slice to take a dainty nibble of it.
The cookies, meanwhile, were chocolate and vanilla square cookies with little diamonds in a checkerpattern on them, with small stripes of green tea frosting over the top. They were adorable, so Suzuki naturally picked them. Because she is weak to the adorable.
Haruna Kurosawa continues to eat pizza, Delicious, delicious pizza. She head tilts. "Well..um..." she says. "The familars name is.. Ayana. When Ayana-chan got up.. she demanded to know 'why I was living in Hannah's house and claiming I was her girlfriend...'" she blushes a bit. "When Hannah said that it was in fact, because I was, she got really.... defensive and angry and claimed that I couldn't be, because Hannah belonged to Boris and Her and Riventon." she says with a soft frown. "Hannah disagreed of course. But..." she says. "It was weird. I just hope she's okay , really. That's why I called Riventon after." he says with a sigh. "Also, she claimed I'd was manipulating Hannah with magic or something to make her like me." she mutters.
"I /used/ to be a witch not one now." she giggles a bit ridicolously. She finishes off a slice and places her pizza down and looks at the cookies, taking one and nipping one. She also wonders a bit.
"So...what brought up the improtu visit? Surely not just to visit, I mean..." she says. "Like you said, you didn't even text me!" she giggles. "IS everything okay?" she asks curiously, head tilting a little at Suzuki.
Suzuki slowly nibbles at her own piece of pizza, listening as Haruna talks of the familiar and the story, Suzuki tilts her head htoughtfully. "...Interesting. She is with Riventon?" She muses a bit. Wait, did that mean that Boris was something special, too? "...Anyway. That... does sound like it was very troubling, emotionally, especially when tired." Suzuki says, shifting and moving her seat carefully so that she's sitting closer to Haruna for one simple purpose: To give Haruna another, brief hug. "The timing couldn't have been worse for that to happen, too. She's probably just afraid that you're going to steal Hannah from her and Riventon. It wouldn't be that large of a surprise, considering how likable Hannah is."
Muse muse. Hmmm. The mention of the witch thing gets a slight chuckle. "I suppose, though arguably you have magic and are female, so you do fit some definitions of a witch. But... definitely a benign one if you were." She says, her tone very slightly teasing. Suzuki shifts slightly as Haruna questions the impromptu visit.
"Ugh, just a fight with my parents over something stupid again. Not a huge deal. I was just going to get out of the house and go on a walk to cool my head. I ended up nearby Infinity Academy, and it reminded me that I haven't seen you in a while, so I decided to visit." Suzuki responds honestly, giving a slight shrug. "It's not that bad of a fight this time, to be honest. I just needed the walk to calm down."
Haruna Kurosawa looks down. "You saw...what Phantom became, right? That was Scorn. That's the witch I was, when I talk about that stuff---only...my hair...was black and not deep red... and my eyes were red and not blue...." she says softly. "..and that's what Corvus looked like back then too- a shadow-fire like raven with glowing eyes- though, he talked a lot more than just sat there... he talked in Rhyme and Riddles--- but I could understand it all and----"
"Then that behavior passed onto me the more Corvus seeped into my heart. I couldn't talk for the life of me straight. I had to really pause and think and talk slowly to even speak properly. If I just talked---like normal it'd be 'natural' for me to talk in Rhyme." she says.
"--so that made me even worse when I started going back to school when Corvus was sealed away the first time." she mutters.
"Hannah was banking on me being this awesome dark witch too so--- I felt really bad. She wanted me to come work for her. I still did that of course..." she giggles.
She head tilts.
She head tilts. "A fight, with your parents? Is that a regular occurance? What was it over?" she ask softly as he taps her chin thoughtfully.
Suzuki tilts her head thoughtfully as she looks towards Haruna. "I see... well. I had somewhat gathered as much from some of the conversation that had been around it." Suzuki says, her gaze shifting away quietly a moment, her gaze shifting away a few moments, before returning towards Haruna. "That sounds difficult. The rhyming thing that is." Suzuki says with a small frown, thinking on that. How bad /would/ it be if you couldn't talk without Rhyming or having to think really hard and slow to not rhyme. She's not sure she could manage it!
She's not that good at rhymes. "...That would /definitely/ make school difficult, especially since they probably would have probably been very upset with you." She pauses, listening to the mention of Hannah and such. She shifts very slightly at that. "Mmm. Work for her with the other ... uhm. I am unsure I would actively call Hannah a villain, more... honestly she is somewhat more of just ... uhm." She frowns thoughtfully. What to call her? She's not a villain, she's not a vigilante. "...I firmly believe that ultimately she wants things to be good in the end, even if I disagree with her methods." Suzuki says with a firm nod.
The question of her parents gets a shrug. "Just a fight over clothing. I don't like being forced to wear kimonos or my school uniform all the time. I mean... I don't mind kimonos, but my parents won't let me keep any clothing that isn't a super proper kimono. I think if it were up to them I wouldn't be standing half the time either and be forced to act like some sort of feudal princess." She says, wrinkling her nose with distaste at the thought.
Haruna Kurosawa blinks! "Ugh...I couldn't wear a kimono all the time. Or at all. Well...um. Maybe I could. I mean. There's a Precard for it.." she mutters. "But I couldn't think of a time I'd be able to use it unless I needed to pretend to be a miko or something... --and I haven't even earned that one yet..." she mutters.
"Erm!...that's besides the point...!" she says getting back on track.
"What would you LIKE to wear if you could...?" she asks softly. "I mean... um... hrm..." she taps her chin. "I'm a little more...sevelte and.. not as... um.. athletic but... maybe my clothes might fit you... is there anything you're looking to try on? I have mostly T-shirts and blue jeans and some skirts and my school uniform- though... I did buy a dress recently." she asks curiously, head tilting.
"Not like your parents are here to find out!" she smiles.
"They are somewhat traditional for some festivals, so there are a few situations... but almost everyone wears, well... normal things. I stick out like a sore thumb half the time, and I already stick out enough for being tall." Suzuki says, wrinkling her nose again. "Ah, uhm. I'm... fine with my school uniform right now."
"And honestly it's less the fact that it's the kimono so much as... well... just..." She frowns a bit, thinking on that. "Just, well. How controlling my parents are about my clothing. I don't even necessarily want to run around wearing anything skimpy or anything silly like that. It's just... you know... it sucks." She says, shaking her head a bit as she thinks on that.
She leans slightly from one side to the other, almost seeming energetic as she thinks on it. "But yeah, like I said. It's not even really a big deal. It was just a small fight this time." She says with a small nod.
Haruna Kurosawa thinks skimpy.....would Hannah like that? She taps her chin...
"I wonder if Hannah likes things like that.."
It takes her a moment to realize /exactly/ what she's thinking AND what she said to herself and she ***blushes*** fiercely and ahems and clears her throat! Teenagers. Dirty Thoughts, etc.
"W-- Well you don't seem the type that'd wear that Suzu-chan!" she says. "But---I guess I can get it. My parents are---well they don't care." she sighs and deflates. "I mean--- they barely kept in contact with me. I might aswell had been well... Orphaned. Aki went because she's-- 'alive' again and they suddenly cared enough to actually call! You know, like a MONTH after they got the news." she throws her arms out and rolls her eyes.
"I don't think Corvus knew that, else he'd had stayed with me so I didn't turn mopey. Corvus worries because he says I sometimes..... rhyme when I get super mopey. I think he's just being silly!" she says with a giggle.
"--but that would make sense if I still had some sort of well.. 'damage' from being Scorn. Which is possible I guess." she shrugs.
"-but eh. I wouldn't be surprised if SOMETHING didn't linger from that, esp. since well. You know. That thing we already talked about with creepy mirror dude." she says with a sigh.
She finishes her pizza. "You want more? Else I'm putting the rest away because I'm going to blow Corvus's head off with pineapples on pizza." she insists.
Suzuki watches with more than a little bit of amusement at that sudden blush from Haruna. She was suddenly very tempted to try to push and tease further, but she falls flat on how to actually follow through on that thought, besides playfully suggesting, "You should ask her if she does." Which would just lead to a possibly interesting conversation later! Maybe. Possibly. Or just get more of a blush right now.
"I probably seem like the sort who would wear more conservative clothing, huh? ... Sometimes, though, I just want to wear a tank top and shorts or something lazy like that, instead of three layers of kimono. My parents don't think it's proper though." She says with a ~siiiigh~.
As the talk moves to Corvus though, she shifts to be very /slightly/ more serious, "It's good that he cares so much about you though." Suzuki says softly, "He worries for you, and wants to make sure that you're well. In a way, he is both partner and possibly like a surrogate father." Suzuki says with a small smile. "Which it sounds like you need, from what you're saying."
"...We have opposite ends of the spectrum. My parents are controlling and have super high expectations of me... yours just don't seem to care." She shakes her head a bit. "Well, I suppose they do say something about opposites and attracting... though perhaps we are not quite so opposite in the end." Muse muse!
"Ah, I'm fine, I actually already had dinner, so I possibly shouldn't have had cookies and pizza." Suzuki says with a small giggle, though she falls quiet, thinking on that. "Well... it wouldn't be impossible that there is... I mean... minds are all sorts of complex. You still have those memories even if the taint is gone." Suzuki says softly. "But... you seem to be recovering somewhat well even with that being the case."
Haruna Kurosawa flusters! "Nah, she'd just tease me endlessly." she blushes and crosses her arms. Though she may ask anyways---but--- no she couldn't bring herself to be THAT delinquent yet, she thinks. One step at a time! She head tilts and blushes a bit.
"Never really thought about it like that before...." she says with a slightly more happier blush. "That's kinda strange since he started as the jerk that tricked me into becoming a soul stealing jerk..." she mutters. "Did I ever tell you that story...?" she asks. "How Corvus became not a jerk?" she asks with a giggle.
"Well, I am recovered. Hannah checked me. Riventon Checked me. Blue-sama Checked Me, Tsukasa-Sensei Checked me. If there's any 'damage' it isn't corruption or darkness- and I'm told all I went through makes it harder for that to effect to me- just a little more- as long as I don't willingly accept it." she mutters.
"Again..."
Suzuki thinks on that option... and files that away for /later/. Because, really. Getting Haruna and Hannah teasing and joking around with each other would only make her mutual friends probably grow closer, which would hopefully make her two friends happier, which is always good! Suzu grins a bit, "That's not necessarily a bad thing." Suzuki says with a firm nod.
"Jerks can stop being a jerk once whatever is making them jerks does not make them... feel that ... bad. A lot of jerks are jerks because something is wrong with them. Or someone was a jerk to them." She nods slowly as she muses on that. "...I think I heard an abridged version, but I don't believe I've heard the entire story before." She says softly.
"...That is a lot of people checking on you. ... Just... to, uhm. Make sure. Is Riventon the last one that checked you, or did Hannah or Tsukasa or Blue-sama check on you afterwards?" She asks softly, shifting slightly. "...But yes, it's probably best not to accept something like that, considering."
Haruna Kurosawa crosses her arms... "Well... when Aki came back, Tsukasa and Blue and Corvus told her my story, because they didn't want me to have to go through the pain of having me tell Aki all I did trying to---- 'bring her back'..." she mumbles a little lowly. "So..it's only fair--I tell you the story he'd have trouble telling if you asked him personally!" she smiles.
"Well. Um. Corvus is.... very old. He was one of four demigods--- Ursa, Lynx, Procyon and Corvus..." she says. "Ursa was the demigod of Hope, Lynx was the demigod of Courage, Procyon was the demigod of Wisdom and Corvus was the demigod of Truth." she says. "I know this sounds strange, but this was a long time ago. Corvus said this was in the area that would had been somewhere in the middle of America about 300 years ago." she nods.
"Anyways, each of the demigods had a human partner called a priestess. They gave them a name- one that was passed down from person to person- and for Corvus that was 'Hope'. He liked the name. Corvus was a demigod that could always tell when the truth was being said, or determine the truth- more importantly, even if it was to ones self! So- he and Hope--- helped a lot of people figure themselves out and stuff like that!" she says.
"But..."
"However... Hope fell in love with the Tribe Leader's son."
"This was a problem because the Leader's son was not to consort with a commoner--- and a priestess was forbiden from falling in love."
"Corvus... couldn't bring himself to stop it. He saw that Hope was--- happy."
"Then the leader began to suspect what was going on. And he came to Corvus- knowing that Corvus would tell him the truth. Corvus couldn't bring himself to see Hope become sad, so he...."
"-he lied. He told the king that nothing was going on, that his son was happy and that he should be happy for that."
"He belived him-- for a few days. Then the two got sloppy and----"
".. well Corvus had his title stripped of him- and was renamed a god of 'Tricks and Lies'.... and then they banished Hope--- they made him... rip out the bind. That---"
"I've felt that twice. Once when they had to sever my tie with Corvus to shove him back in his tablet---which I'll get to in a moment..." she says. "and when he cut it off himself when he freed himself from the tablet." she says. "It---it feels like someone ripped out half your being and it burns so /cold/...." she says icly. "I never want to feel like that ever again...." she says softly. "So.. Corvus, out of spite, named his next priestess 'Scorn'---and he began becoming spiteful and---" she sighs. "First they tried changing Procyon's function to act as a guardian of sorts. He became a demigod of Guile and Ticks. But that didn't work. So.... The priestesses got together and bound them to tablets. Ursa, Lynx and Procyon all understood the reasons- they didn't like it, but they went into them without a hitch. Corvus--- fought until his priestess nearly died. Procyon said his last words was that he'd, punish humanity." she sighs.
"Okay---um. That's the first half..." she mutters.
"Erm..." she thinks and pauses, taking a moment for Suzuki to ask questions. "There's more I'm getting to it!" she beams.
"Perhaps I will have to ask him to tell me your story in full later then, so that there's a balance in telling me." Suzuki says mildly amusedly in response to Haruna, her hands resting on her lap contently as she falls ... largely silent. She was listening intently, giving small nods here and there , with slight shifts in her face at certain points -- like mentions of Hope and the Leader's son.
As the story continued, her lips pressed to a thin line, she /clearly/ did not approve of the situation, though she doesn't immediately voice said disapproval. In fact, she continued to listen silently until there was that pause in the story.
"Rules trying to control love never are a good idea, and will never go well." She mumbles softly, shaking her head a bit. "The heart is not so easy to control. And when you try... situations like yours get created." But... she didn't seem intent on asking any questions just yet. Either waiting until the story was over, or she just didn't have any yet.
Haruna Kurosawa smiles. "I'm getting to mine...actually." she says.
"So... eventually. The tablets were discovered and they were broken out of thier sealing ritual they'd be placed when the last priestesses decided they were no longer needed- bound in chains. This caused the seals to weaken- and be brittle- but not break. They ended up in--- the museum at Penguin Park, in the last six months."
"...and then I was forced to go to a field trip or fail a class and get kicked out..." she sighs. "So I went and stayed quiet near the back of the group. I hated being there. I didn't---like people. I wanted to hide under a table. We went to the American History Exhibit they had on display and there were the four tablets. The group went on but- I heard a voice and---"
"There was a silly little bird poking out of the raven one and I wanted to call out, but he shushed me. He said... 'I'd never seen such a void of a heart before! What a score!'" she says.
"I-- um. I'd been so hurt over the years my sadness and sorrow actually broke the seal on his tablet- and he wanted to repay me- and he said---- he could give me a wish, but I'd have to follow a ritual, become a sort of 'magician' he called it, and 'borrow' soul power. I knew what I wanted---I knew what I wanted the moment he said he could grant me a wish...." she looks down.
"So---I stole the tablet. I just stuffed it in my backpack and ran out of the exhbit. No one caught me. He---put me through a ritual and----"
"Called me Scorn." she sighs. "So I started hurting and draining people and sending them into comas, one by one. One of these people were... well..."
"Ao-chan..."
Suzuki knows EXACTLY where this is going now. "Hannah was sent out to find me anyways at that point- I'd sent so many people into comas there was news about it! So Hannah rescued me because I got WAY over my head, and took me to see these people- in hopes they could coerce me to be studied and maybe recruited. I'd talked to Hannah and she asked, if, I'd drained someone and showed me a picture. I said I had. She did not immediatly punch me. Instead, she asked if I could set her back right- or else-- 'we'd have problems'. I'd already spoken to someone that would become my mentor and she was willing to help me learn to control my powers. So I agreed. Hannah then told me my real name and said that we'd be friends. I...."
She looks down. "I never had a friend who wasn't my sister, Suzu-chan, before that point. Hannah was so nice to me- even after what I did to Ao-chan." she says.
"Anyways, Hannah didn't like Corvus. She knew he was using me from the start. I should had listend. The Sailor Senshi, Tuxedo Kamen and Hotori-san all helped me shove him back into a tablet. But he was still attached to me. Tsuaka-sensei couldn't help those powered by my kind of---magic. I was still corrupted and--- well." she sighs.
"So---" she says. "I stayed with my mentor in Eclipse. Until the Dark Kingdom came for me---- they wanted me before. They tried to kidnap me before. But they failed. But they found out who I was and just kidnapped me in the night from this room." she shudders.
"They spent a month brainwashing me into... something. And then I freed Corvus. He took all his power back. Then he took the part of me that /belonged/ to me."
She looks down. "I began to-- turn into something inhuman. Just--- Darkness and Badness. Then Kami-sama came and told me all about Aki suddenly. How she was a Pretty Cure. How she was still alive. How she cared and wanted to be a team with me-- to be a Pretty Cure too--and that--- she had Blue make a love seed in my favorite color even. And he gave that to me. But---I needed hope."
"Everyone else gave me that. Hannah who was there...Tuxedo Kamen... the Senshi.... Sakura.... Proycon who helped me through the whole ordeal when Corvus was sealed, Cure Boost, Cure Sunny---and---it's like..."
"I was just healed suddenly. And I felt happy. and /right/--- and I transformed into a Pretty Cure for the first time and I /totally/ flew up and slammed down into Corvus before he could steal all my friend's souls!" she says.
"But...."
"He still had part of me. I began feeling things from him. He was angry. But he was hurting. He /missed/... someone. He wanted to hurt others, he wanted her back and he knew that could never happen. I couldn't...."
"I couldn't let Blue-sama trap him in the axia... or let Procyon try to complete a ritual to reseal him in a tablet. I couldn't let everyone there just destroy him for good. Everyone----"
"Everyone worked so hard to save me. Didn't Corvus deserve that too? Wouldn't they be helping him too if they could feel what I felt? So---I purified him. And he calmed down. And he became a tiny silver bird and-----"
"One of the others there tried to cut through to kill him. And I grabbed him and I cradeled him and was ready to take the hit even- though others jumped in the way--and I remember. He asked me. 'Haruna... why are you protecting me...?' and he wasn't even rhyming! and I said that-- it's because everyone saved me- he deserved to be saved too. He spent a night trying to get me to-- reseal him away. He said he felt so awful and it was the first he had----feelings besides rage or anger for all those years trapped."
"I told him no. I told him I'd figure /something/ out. He didn't even have ANY powers anymore. He wasn't even a tiny god, let alone a demigod. So Blue let him be my partner. Usually--he'd give me a fairy. Like Raquel, to be my partner." she says.
"So--- yeah..." she says looking down she sighs and wipes her eyes a bit. They're a little moist, she still smiles though.
"That's the whole story. I mean. Not whole. I'm missing a little, but it's all correct."
Suzuki continues to listen quietly and intently through the entire story, though it was obvious she wasn't just tuning things out. She was listening, giving small nods here and there as she listened to the continuing story. About the weakening seal, how Haruna's heart was a void, the seal, the ritual, the actions as scorn, attacking Ao-chan, and so many other things. All listened to intently.
Suzuki was definitely not stoic through it at all. It was a very moving story, and it showed on her face, there was sadness at points, particularly what happened while she was scorn, and ... well, her eyes were not exactly dry either when the story ended. She takes a small breath, her voice a little wavery. "That story... is so sad, and yet so beautiful at the same time... you have been through a great ordeal, but ... it sounds like it paid off in the end. You have friends now, a lot of them... and allies... and Corvus... and your sister back... I mean... it's not all good from what you've said, but... still..." She shakes her head a little, smiling towards Haruna.
She shifts slightly in her seat, "...You really do belong in Virtue, with your decision to help Corvus." Suzuki says quietly, giving a firm nod. "You're a very good person. I'm glad to consider you a friend." It also had her wondering a bit. Just how close was her heart to being a similar void due to her time isolated by her parents? Before she got her 'good luck charm'? She would have to thank Verdrehen Sturm later. Even if she wasn't actually good luck, she had resulted in her gaining friends... indirectly. "...There is one question that bothers me a little, though. What happened to the other two demigods? Are they still sealed? Are they off doing something else now?" She asks, her head tilting curiously.
Haruna Kurosawa crosses her arms and sighs. "I never met them. Someone killed them, a guy in a white coat with red hair and a sword---but... Procyon said it /wasn't/ Phantom- even though he's the only one I know who matches that description. Procyon was saved by Blue-sama at the last moment because he needed him to save me." she says looking down.
She smiles and looks up. "Yeah...I get that a lot. It's why Tsukasa-sensei places a lot of trust in me... even I make silly decisions, like... spike punch or date and work with someone I have to fight every so often. But that's okay. Hannah likes fighting me at my best- and she accepts I'm going to get angry with her later over stuff." she nods. "I just..." she blushes. "I used to be shy and not wanna talk to people, you know? -- and I heard stories and.. Procyon urged me to 'live a little' and he even helped me get that bottle of cheap alcholol for the dance punch spiking..." she giggles.
She smiles. "Well, I'm glad to know you, too Suzuki. And you helped me save my sister and I'm never ever going to forget that!" she beams.
"I hope you and Katsu-chan find happiness together. You both earned it. I still...."
"Feel bad about that. Even if it came out for the best. Just... blabing that to you. I thought you could help me..." she mutters.
