It's dinner time in the Homu House. The sound of sizzling vegetables emits from hot pans on the stove. Chicken is the meat of choice for this particular dish, currently baking in the oven beneath. Spatula in hand, wearing a plain white apron, long black hair tied up in a bun behind her head, Homura watches over the meal that she's attempting to create. A cookbook is open on the counter nearby, propped up on a stand for easy reading, open to a recipe for Chicken Stir Fry. She was under the impression that this was an easy meal to attempt.
A timer goes off, and Homura opens the oven. A mitted hand reaches in, retrieving the still-hot chicken. A normal, sane human would probably wait for the meat to cool before cutting it up, but Homura is none of those things. One by one those slabs of meat are cut up into ribbons and tossed into the frying pan.
She stirs the veggies and the meat together in the pan, turns the knob for the stove to the 'off' position, pushes the 'off' button for the oven, and then leaves her post to open cupboards, retrieving a pair of plates, laying them on the counter with speed and efficiency, yet so softly that they barely make a sound. Delicious (she hopes) stir fry is pushed from the pan onto the plates with her spatula.
Once she's done with that task she retrieves a pair of glass cups and calls out, "Madoka-chan! What would you like to drink? Water? Soda? Juice?"
Homura dumps some ice into the cups, then opens her white fridge and starts perusing the options. She pulls out a bottle of soda for herself, pouring it while she waits for Madoka to make her own choice.
"Juice please!" Madoka replies instinctively upon hearing the option, not thinking of how it might go with the actual meal presented. As Homura finishes up the meal she rinses off the cutting board the vegetables were cut up on. When Homura decided to cook she had volunteered her help immediately, having done simple tasks like cutting, gathering supplies, and handing things over many times for her father. As for the actual cooking... well, let's just say there's a reason she didn't volunteer to cook a side dish aside from not wanting to crowd the stove.
Cutting board rinsed she dries it off quickly and replaces it where she got it from, setting the cutting knife in the sink in preparation for cleaning right after dinner, simply because that's what she's used to doing at her own house. Old habits die hard, and her parents did their best to instill good habits in her.
She walks over to the table with a bounce in her step and sits down, taking a seat next to where Homura will be sitting because she prefers being in snuggle range over looking across the table without turning her head. "It smells really good," she says happily, doing her best not to fidget too much in her seat. Food is rather important to her! But then who wouldn't it be important to if they lived with a cook like her father?
Juice. Homura could've guessed, which is precisely why she keeps some on hand specifically for Madoka. Cooking is... kind of new for Homura. As someone who lives by herself, microwavable foods tend to make up most of her diet. Yet surely if she can make a pipe bomb, then she can make a meal, right? Something about being with Madoka makes her want to try just a little bit harder. Especially since Madoka has claimed, and then been given, a room in this house.
The pan isn't put into the water right away, still being too hot, and the baking pan is just set aside. The aluminum foil used to line it is balled up and tossed. Madoka's plate and glass are carried out to the table and set before her. Homura takes a moment to hug Madoka before going back to the kitchen and getting her own meal, sitting down next to her girlfriend because of course she does.
"It does! Thanks for helping, Madoka-chan." Well, it doesn't smell bad at least. Homura takes a pair of chopsticks and samples the taste of the meal. Well, it's not poison. "Um... What do you think of the taste?"
Homura stirs the meal on her plate for a bit. She clears her throat. The signs may be subtle, but Madoka might pick up on various hints that Homura feels a sense of... trepidation. Something is bothering her, and has been the whole time. One might think that her inexperience at cooking was to blame, but now that she's seated and eating it hardly seems like it's going away.
"U-um... Madoka-chan. There's something I think I want to talk about. To you, I mean."
The plate of food is set down in front of her and Madoka smiles happily to Homura. "Thank you, sweetheart," she says in a soft voice, eyes seeming to get bigger as she looks down to the plate itself. Hands clap together and she dutifully says, "Itadakimasu!" before picking up her chopsticks and eating a few pieces of vegetables followed by chicken. She does chew her food rather than merely inhale it however, and when Homura looks over to her. "It's good!" she says cheerfully. "It's even better since you're the one who made it," she adds in again a soft tone of voice, sending a pretty smile towards Homura.
She isn't gushing on and on about it like she might her father's cooking, of course, but there's nothing really offensive about the food and she knows it's got to be better than something thrown in the microwave, or KFC. Maybe a little bland but for an early attempt it's pretty good! ...and definitely better than the few times she's tried to cook.
She takes a sip of her juice, peeking over to Homura out of the corner of her eyes when her girlfriend clears her throat. The signs are noticed, but before they go on long enough for her to actively comment on them Homura speaks up. She's curious what has Homura worried, but does her best not to show any curiosity or worry show in her own expression and voice.
No, instead she'll look over to Homura after finishing her bite and ask, "What is it, Homura-chan?" turning her attention to her while speaking in a casual tone.
Homura chews her food, carefully trying to find the words to say. What she's thinking about is ridiculous, and might even... no, there's no point in even thinking about that. The only worst case scenario that Homura has to worry about is the possibility of things going on as they are. It's a crazy thing, what she's thinking, and she can't really expect people to understand her logic.
As much as it seems unfair to think that about Madoka, the one person most likely to understand her.
By the time she starts talking, she still hasn't really decided what to say. '. "I almost hate to dump this on you so suddenly, but I think it's important that I at least say something."
"It's like this... I... There's something that I need to do. It's not... it's not urgent, or at least I don't think it is, but I think it's important. It's not going to be fun, and it might even seem scary." Could it backfire? That's a silly question, it most certainly will have negative repercussions for her, but if the good can outweigh the bad...
"I guess... I guess I'm asking you to trust me. I want you to know that I wouldn't betray your trust, and even if I can't really explain everything, I just don't want you to misunderstand what I'm about to do and get upset."
Madoka is perhaps uncharacteristically quiet as she lets Homura speak, not interrupting her as she struggles along so that she can say what she wants to say without having her words or thoughts colored. She looks mildly confused, though not upset as Homura speaks. A bit of worry shows on her face at the mention of scary things, but then she nods softly when asked to be trusting.
A gentle smile forms on her lips and she lifts her hand, delicately setting it on top of Homura's, "I trust you, Homura-chan. And I don't think you'd betray my trust. If there's something you think you have to do I'll understand." After a short moment she adds, "I'd rather you be able to tell me what it is... but if you can't, that's okay too. I'll try to be understanding if something happens."
Her hand gives a gentle squeeze to the one beneath it and she tilts her head a little, "We're partners, and we share a lot with each other, but I understand that there might be times when we can't share everything. I think I'll be okay if that's the case. I just don't ever want to hide something from you that I think you should know, or for you to keep those kinds of secrets from me. The last time we did that it was because we started drifting apart. That wasn't either of our faults, but I always want to be close to you."
When it's Madoka's time to speak, Homura listens. She's frowning at the thoughts running through her head. Madoka's saying that she doesn't want them drifting apart? Homura shakes her head. "It's nothing like that. I'm not going anywhere. It's not like last time..." Her thumb reaches up to squeeze against Madoka's hand. She smiles at Madoka, a once looking both apologetic and reassuring. "Remember? I want to be with you forever. I would never leave you alone, now that I really know how you feel."
The smile falters, and Homura looks away again, back down into her food. "It has to do with the famine. Kunzite said that he saw Kyubey hanging out with Riventon, or at least he said something along those lines. We already knew that Kyubey was dealing with Eclipse, but when I mentioned something about it to Hannah she didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I think she thought I was talking about Agera."
She grabs a bit more food with her chopsticks, but she doesn't eat yet. Instead, she pauses. "That means... whatever is happening, Takashi Agera knows about it, and might likely be participating in it. If that's the case, it's likely that he has no idea what's really going on." Well, it's either that or he's betrayed Madoka completely.
"... so that's why I need to talk with him, and I need to do it alone. There are things I need to know about him, and I can't really know them unless I talk to him."
Madoka smiles back, giving a small shake of her head, "I know you wouldn't leave me. But that's what I worry about when I think of us keeping secrets from each other, something coming between us." She frowns a little herself, having failed to properly express herself, holding onto Homura's hand all the more firmly because of it.
Homura starts to explain herself, giving her reasoning, and Madoka looks down, feeling like she pried the information out of her partner when she didn't really want to give it. "Oh," she states when Takashi's name is spoken, understanding part of why Homura would want her to be trusting and slightly in the dark. "He was working with a Puella Magi, wasn't he? And you're right, Kyubey did talk about working with men in suits." They'd already figured that was a not-so-obscure reference to Eclipse.
At Homura's final comments Madoka gives a little nod, "And neither of you would be able to speak completely openly if I was there. I understand." She moves her hand, sliding it beneath Homura's rather than over it and lifting it up to give a tiny kiss to the back of it, lacing her fingers with her girlfriends afterwards, if she'll let her. "Thank you for letting me know." Her voice is still a little quiet, in a sad way, "I- I just- I wasn't trying to say I'd be upset if you didn't. I was going to trust you; I didn't think this was the kind of 'secret' that'd make a rift between us."
Homura still isn't telling Madoka the full story, and she's still not all that happy about it. She sits there in silence. She opens her mouth to say more, but... no, it's better if she doesn't. Her hand is kissed, and she smiles at Madoka, leaning forward to kiss her on the temple. "I didn't think you'd distrust me or be upset. It's just... he's always been such a liar. I never know how he's going to twist things, and I didn't want you to worry if things started looking bad. You've always been trusting of me, even when no one else was. I know that."
She sits quietly, chewing her food for a few moments. Chopsticks in one hand, while the other holds hands with Madoka. She stops for a moment, maybe thinking of moving the subject in a different direction.
"How much do we know about this situation, anyways? He was working with that one Puella Magi, who reminded me of a Witch I saw in past timelines. I ran across another Puella Magi who openly admitted to working for Eclipse, trying to steal a gem. What's more, she didn't seem to think that she had to worry about magic use. When I brought up how she was being wasteful, she laughed it off and attacked me."
She reaches for her cup to sip her soda, before placing it down and resting her head on Madoka's shoulder. "It's really curious, that Eclipse suddenly has Puella Magi who either have a ton of Grief Seeds in the middle of a famine, or they don't seem to have any need for them."
A smile spreads on Madoka's face as Homura kisses the side of her head, "You need to be able to give him the chance to talking to you without worrying that what he says might upset me. You'd need the same if you were talking to him, right?" Because sometimes things said do upset her, even if in the long run she can get over them much more easily than if things actually come to blows.
She picks up her chopsticks with her free hand, bobbling them a little before eating more of her food so her stomach doesn't grumble at her. She eats and nods while Homura speaks, feeling a bit better and moving on to the new topic that Homura brings up, thinking it over. After finishing her bites she cautiously notes, "Well... Hannah-chan does have Bob. She could have gotten a very large number of Grief Seeds for how long she's had her." Bob, being a Witch, is a her, "I don't know how many of them she's used in her experiments, but if Eclipse is using her supply they might be able to use magic very freely for a long time before she starts to run out."
Madoka gives a small shake of her head, "There's something else, too. You... never knew any of those Puella Magi, did you? The ones in the city you were tracking... the one Riventon was with, and the one you fought, they weren't on your list, right? So if Kyubey really isn't making any more Puella Magi, where did they come from? I guess they could have come from outside the city, but more than one, and both working with Eclipse?"
Her pink eyebrows come together and her mouth purses into a line, "It almost seems like Kyubey... lied to us?"
Giving Takashi a chance to speak, without Madoka being there. Yeah, that's among the reasons for Homura to leave her out. A big reason, but not the only one. "Something like that. Without you to get between us, we're a lot more likely to fight. He's also a lot less likely to spin things for your benefit."
Could Hannah have made a lot of Grief Seeds from Bob? Maybe, but... that still doesn't add up. Homura shakes her head. "I think it's strange that she wouldn't be selling them to us if she knew that we needed them. I could be wrong on that, or there might be some reason why she can't, but I don't know for sure."
Homura chews thoughtfully, closing her eyes and enjoying her closeness to Madoka. "If she does, or if there is a stockpile of Grief Seeds somewhere, I wonder where they'd be keeping them."
The new Puella Magi are disturbing indeed. "It's true. I have no idea who they are. Generally I keep tabs on things like that, and while I wouldn't be so cocky as to assume that my records are complete, I shouldn't be that far off, either."
Did Kyubey lie to them?
"But... he doesn't... he never would... Sure he omits things, but..."
Did Kyubey lie to them?
"That's like the one shred of morality that creature has. If he did lie, that's a huge change in behavior. Even if he wanted to get rid of us, would he break that rule? I've never seen him do that before."
Madoka shakes her head about Hannah, "I wouldn't want to go to her except as a last resort, though I have thought about it. Maybe Eclipse is making her give them to their allied Puella, since they started working with Kyubey?" She lets out a little sigh, "I don't know if they'd make her give them over or not. I don't know very much about Eclipse at all."
Madoka closes her eyes as Homura speculates on the location of Grief Seed stockpiles, eating as well before pointedly noting, "Somewhere that would take a whole lot of magic to get to if you didn't have the key and weren't invited."
Homura's proven herself good at keeping track of the overall Puella situation to the point that Madoka takes it as very odd that new ones were showing up that even she didn't recognize. She doesn't expect that recon to be perfect, but such large exceptions is a real oddity. Madoka makes a face as if she ate something sour, and it has nothing to do with the bites of food she's actually eating. She gives a shake of her head, "I don't know, Homura-chan. I'd like to think he wouldn't lie to us directly, but I don't know how else to explain it. There were a lot fewer Witches for a long time before we talked to him, and now that there are practically none more Puella Magi are showing up?"
She leans a little, so her shoulder touches Homura's, "I'm not sure how much you can learn from talking to him, but I do think it's a good idea. I trust you." Madoka turns her head, looking over to Homura, squeezing her hand, "...and I trust your judgment too, on what you decide he has to know."
Homura is seriously trying to figure out where Hannah fits in with all of this, but not coming up with anything. "Not unless it's a last resort, no. We're not at that point yet. We shouldn't be for a long time. I'm pretty sure that someone in Eclipse would eventually try to take those from her, but I would be very surprised if she gave them up without a fight. I've seen Eclipse's upper management try to strongarm WPS before. It didn't work out for him."
She shakes her head. "Still, that doesn't discount Hannah giving them up willingly, if she had a reason."
'Somewhere that would take a whole lot of magic to get to if you didn't have the key and weren't invited.'
Madoka more or less read her mind there. It wouldn't be the first time Homura just up and ripped someone off, but doing it to Eclipse would be a first. "Maybe. It'd be pretty irresponsible of them not to make it difficult."
Why would Kyubey lie to them, and how would they explain it? "Why would Kyubey want to work with Eclipse anyways? He seemed to think that we weren't needed anymore. Did he find some alternative way to overcome entropy? We never did find an answer to that. What if these new Puella Magi have something to do with that?"
How much can Homura learn. Well... that's the rub, isn't it? She's about to say something, but then Madoka says that last bit. Homura frowns, leaning against Madoka's shoulder. "That's a choice I'll have to make on the spot... but thank you for trusting me, Madoka-chan."
Madoka doesn't know where Hannah fits other than technically having a, perhaps limited, supply of Grief Seeds and working for an ostensibly evil corporate organization that now employs Puella Magi of some type or another. That alone implies she'd be connected somehow, but how much is entirely unknown. "I'd be afraid to fight Hannah-chan alone if she decided she hated me," Madoka says as a comment about it working out poorly for someone who tried to strongarm WPS.
So Madoka got it right on the first guess. But then the way Homura said it didn't make it that hard for her. "Knowing Hannah-chan the second you touched one of them the doors would slam shut and she'd drop out of the ceiling to fight you. Any security system she has in place is probably very personal." Of course that's just the impression Madoka gets; she doesn't actually know the woman nearly so well as Homura.
"To me it sounded like he wanted to make sure you and Kyouko-san were dead, and that he'd start making more Puella Magi after. Or maybe once all of us who knew the truth were dead." Her head shakes, "But it's not like that would kill Mamoru-kun, Kunzite-kun, Hannah-chan or anyone else who knows the truth." Once again it's the same confusing puzzle of why he would act the way he is. It makes so little sense. The obvious answer is that they're missing some very large pieces to said puzzle.
When Homura leans against her Madoka lets go of her hand after giving it a squeeze, sliding her arm round behind Homura and pulling the other girl close, rubbing her hand up and down her arm. "You're welcome, Homura-chan. I know whatever happens you'll make the choice that you think is the right one. I know you well enough to know that. I trust you, I trust your judgment, and that's enough for me." Now it's Madoka's turn to kiss Homura on the temple, leaning her head over to nuzzle the side of her head gently against Homura's afterwards.
Homura frowns, remembering exactly what kinds of defenses Hannah has set up at the WPS main building. "Well, when it came to the Witch holding cells, I remember there being lockdowns and noxious gases and explosives involved. I think I could have broken in with my timestop, but I don't think it's wise to wander around inside of there while time is frozen. There are a lot of ways to counter my powers. I'd hate to find out the hard way that they had set a trap for me."
Kyubey did make it sound as if he wanted Kyouko and Homura dead. Homura remembers that much. "Kyubey should know better, that's the problem. He should know better, and he shouldn't lie." That whole mess is so weird. "It's like he doesn't even know what he's doing anymore. Killing Kyouko and me wouldn't make his problems go away. It wouldn't solve anything."
She pauses, and considers. "There are a number of people who'd want me dead. Kyouko, too. It's hard to become a veteran Puella Magi without someone wanting to be enemies with you. Riventon has actually tried to kill me before, and since Kyubey is working with him now I could see it if Kyubey cut a deal with him. That wouldn't necessarily explain Kyouko, though. Not unless she also had enemies in Eclipse that Kyubey cut a deal with."
That's just a theory, but it makes a lot more sense. "Kyubey never did give us a meaningful explanation for wanting me dead, did he? Sure he gave an excuse, but it's so thin I don't even want to count it."
Homura smiles as she's kissed, nuzzling against Madoka while hunting down the last few bits of her stir fry. "Thank you for always trusting me. I know I'm pretty rough sometimes, but I try to consider what's best for everyone, to preserve as much life as I can."
"I don't like the idea of you locked in with explosives and noxious gasses," Madoka states calmly, figuring her words alone will get her point across without needing to put a lot of strength behind them. Her lips curl into a frown when Homura mentions setting a trap for her, "Have you ever had that happen, Homura-chan? Had a trap set for you? If you really do have counters like that, you might want to think of ways to test for them, or come up with a plan that you can use right away if you do get trapped."
Yes, Madoka, find a way to minimize your weaknesses. But how?
Madoka considers for a few moments, and eventually comes upon a thought. "Maybe... once we're all gone... he'll make Puella again in someplace other than Tokyo? That way they wouldn't be around our friends, or people who would know better." She leaves that hang and instead deals with Homura's words directly, "I don't think Hannah-chan would want Kyouko-san dead, and even if she did I don't think she'd work with Kyubey." Honestly if Hannah wanted Kyouko dead Madoka imagines she'd want to do it herself. She's that type of person.
"He said we'd broken the rules. But... I don't understand what he meant by that. Especially since he didn't mention me in particular. I thought I was the one who was breaking his rules?" It's something she'd thought about a little bit since then that grated on her. Why was she somehow less of a threat to his plans than Homura? The time magic is the obvious answer, but if so then why Kyouko?
Madoka returns to eating her food, feeling bad because it's started to cool off and she hasn't eaten it all yet. "Other people might think you're rough around the edges, but I think you're fuzzy around the edges. That's why your so warm and soft to snuggle against!" It's a silly, playful answer to try and put Homura's mind more at ease, and also put her mind on happier topics for a little bit as Madoka leans against her warmly. "You try to be a good person," she says a bit more seriously, "which is why I think you are one. If you weren't you wouldn't care enough to try."
"It's never happened to me, no," says Homura. "I haven't seen anything like that. I think if I had to face another nullheart of myself, there are things that I would do to trip her up. None of those things have been tested, however. All I know for sure is that if someone grabs me when I timestop, they'll be inside the timestop with me whether I want them there or not. If I bump into someone, the same thing happens."
Still, there are a lot of glaring flaws that Homura would have to overcome before she felt comfortable playing secret agent around Eclipse.
Someplace other than Tokyo. Hmm. "That would make some sense. Still, even if he did that, it wouldn't be necessary to kill us if he's just going to move, and him leaving wouldn't necessarily cause a famine, either. New Witches are born from Familiars all the time. It isn't enough to contracting, they'd have to get rid of those, too.."
If Hannah would want Kyouko dead, she'd do it herself. "She would. I'm sure of that. I also just don't think that Hannah-chan is that murderous. I mean, Kyouko would have to do something pretty personal I think."
Homura shrugs at the mention of rule breaking. "Another mystery statement from a Kyubey who apparently lies. I wasn't even aware there were rules that we could break. I thought that the Wish-making was the beginning and end of rule breaking. Other than that the rules should be unbreakable."
Homura giggles as she's called 'fuzzy around the edges'. "Well that's because I'm your cuddly wuddly fuzzy wuzzy~." There's a slight squeal in her voice as she responds to Madoka's silliness.
Madoka finishes up the last of her meal while Homura talks, though she's quick to note, "If that happens, you should be careful Homura-chan. If you fight another nullheart you should try to win, but not in a way that makes it very obvious how to beat you." She looks slightly embarrassed, "That probably sounds silly, but if you easily disabled your clone by tying her up I'm pretty sure I know exactly what Riventon would do right from the start the next time he tried to fight you." As much as Madoka doesn't want to imagine Takashi and Homura fighting, she isn't going to take any possible threat against Homura lightly. As she said earlier, Riventon has tried to kill her in the past. Madoka can't just overlook that, even if she can, eventually, forgive it.
On the comment of Kyubey leaving not necessarily meaning a famine Madoka laughs nervously, "I think in past timelines that might have been true, Homura-chan, but with all five of us alive, and even more Puella Magi? Especially when we aren't very likely to leave a Familiar alive to kill people, nor would any of the other magical heroes around. Actually, a Familiar would probably only seem like a very strange Youma to most magical heroes. Since they don't drop Grief Seeds I'm not sure they'd think anything of it after they killed one. It's just something terrible trying to hurt people, at that point."
About Hannah Madoka simply nods in agreement and adds, "That's exactly what I thought, too. It really wouldn't be her."
Madoka makes a slightly frustrated sound, "This is all very confusing. Kyubey lying to us directly doesn't make sense. He'll lead people on all the way if he thinks it's towards what he considers a good end, but he'd never gone so far as to lie until now, if that's what he did." To Homura's notes on rules Madoka says in a slightly childish tone, "I'm done with his rules."
Luckily there are much happier things to think of, things like Homura giggling and saying things in a very cute way. "My cuddly wuddly fuzzy wuzzy Homura-chan~!" she repeats. She practically bolts down the rest of her food afterwards, taking several long drinks of her juice afterwards. The reason might become obvious as she shifts on her chair, turning towards Homura and scooting towards it's edge.
"I think I know what I want for dessert..." she whispers, looking into Homura's eyes, trying to grab her attention and captivate her with them before leaning in and kissing the beautiful dark haired girl on the lips, slipping her arms around her and hugging close.
Whatever is left of Homura's meal is picked clean, and all that's left is a bit of soda. She slowly drinks it while they talk, considering the various subjects and calculating. "A way that doesn't make my weaknesses obvious. I'll have to consider that, in case Riventon decides to send another nullheart at me."
Madoka brings up the fact that famines would be pretty easy to cause here, since so many people are willing and eager to defeat Familiars and Witches. "I suppose that's true. There's no getting around the fact that it'd be difficult for a lone Familiar to survive in this environment. Even with a Labyrinth to hide in, it wouldn't truly be safe.
Madoka declares that she's done with his rules, and Homura can't help but agree. "I am, too. He doesn't even follow them anymore. He's just trying to hurt us now. There really is no excuse for that."
Madoka giggles and repeats Homura's silliness, and then Homura notices her trying to finish off her food in a hurry. Taking the hint, Homura finishes off her glass of soda and then places it on the table, watching Madoka and waiting for the...
'I think I know what I want for dessert...'
Yup, there it is. Homura turns towards Madoka as the pink-haired girl wraps her arms around her and kisses. Homura leans into the kiss, wrapping her own arms around Madoka's back. During a break between kisses, she whispers, "This is the best dessert."
Madoka agrees with most everything says, and for the moment she doesn't have a terribly large amount to add to the conversation. Most of the time she'll pipe up what little she does have and continue them just in case it sparks more ideas and conversation, which it usually does with Homura.
It's different this time because she has an interest in letting those other topics fall away, because Homura picked up on the hint before it was even dropped, and this is her favorite kind of dessert.
She sighs happily through her nose as Homura hugs her back and presses into the kiss, loosening up with one arm and hugging tighter with the other. She wants to stay just as close, but she also wants to pet over and play with Homura's silky long hair, stroking it and running her fingers through it as their lips press sweetly and enjoyably together.
When Homura whispers to her she leans her forehead into her girlfriends before nodding gently, "Mine too." She gives teasing nips to Homura's lips, tugging on them with her own before kissing her again, leaning onto the edge of her chair until finally giving up entirely and climbing out of it and into Homura's lap in an easy motion.
Wasn't she going to do dishes after dinner? Well, those can wait.
This dessert is too good to pass up.
Talking is fun, but dessert is a very important part of dinner! After all, it's full of Vitamin K (the K stands for Kiss)!
Homura allows herself to be pulled closer, making an 'mm' noise when her hair is sweetly petted. She reaches up with one hand to lightly grab one of Madoka's fluffy pigtails, softly squishing it in her hand while sharing wonderful kisses with Madoka. Homura's own hair is as silky and soft as usual, Homura having taken the time to prepare for having her beloved over.
Madoka's teasing elicits a sharp inhale from Homura, followed by a very slow exhale. After a moment she decides that turnabout is fair play and starts teasing Madoka with short flicks of her tongue across her girlfriend's lips.
Those dinner plates aren't going anywhere, after all. Homura would rather be with her darling.
"I love you so much, Madoka-chan. Always and forever, I adore you."
