If Naru was the bender type, the state of the apartment looks vaguely as if someone has been on a bender. The TV is chattering away on some random channel, daytime talk show it would appear to be at the moment. There's a half eaten container of instant noodles on the coffee table, a trio of half drunk bottles of juice scattered upon it, lids tossed casually aside. Naru's phone is in the kitchen, almost out of charge and blinking messages. Her sketchbook is nowhere to be seen, a couple of crumpled pages are tossed in amongst the detritus on the table. A blanket has been tossed lazily upon the floor.
In an apartment that usually looks almost sterile in its neatness? This is a bender of its own sort.
Any texts that arrived last night, or this morning may or may not have gotten looked at, but certainly didn't get answered.
The alarm that was to get her up to meet Hannah at the gym? Turned off without a second thought in favour of rolling over and going back to dozing on the couch.
The next alarm, the one that reminds her about when to leave for school to get there on time? Turned off with a little mutter and a shrug and that was the end of it.
Naru sits on the edge of the couch, in yoga pants and a baggy t-shirt, elbows on her knees and her face in her hands. Whatever she might be muttering is entirely too quiet to be heard outside of her own ears.
Kunzite's text to her was simple:
Naru stopped responding to text messages last night, and missed a meeting this morning. Could you check on her at school?
This, of course, raised some alarm bells.
But, well, benefit of the doubt, right? Naru could have the phone on silent. She could have fallen asleep early. She could have forgotten to charge her phone. She could have been knee deep in a drawing.
So, Usagi sent a text on her way to school.
However, no Naru at school, either. And no text response.
There may or may not be rumors and cell phone pictures of Sailor Moon being seen leaping away from the school's rooftop. This may or may not send conspiracy theorists into over drive. Does Moon go to Seishou? Was there an attack?
Of course, the photos may eventually get blamed on Photoshop. Or 'specialists' could claim it wasn't really Sailor Moon, but a weather balloon.
Such theories won't result on her entrance to Osaka-P's jewelery store. After all, the twin-tailed odangoed one is Usagi Tsukino, an almost regular feature at the slightly expensive but still reasonably priced store of rings and necklaces and such.
Fortunately, the NaruMama is busy with customers. So Usagi's able to sneak into the home area of the store with her key.
Usagi...blinks at the state of the place. She looks at Naru and tilts her head. "Are you...okay?"
Naru doesn't even lift her head when Usagi 'sneaks' into the apartment. (Is it really still sneaking when one opens the door with a key?) She shakes her head in answer to that perfectly reasonable question.
Naru rubs at her eyes with the heels of her hands, the sigh that follows is just dripping with ennui. "Ugh."
A slow lifting of her head, to turn towards her bestie and there's not even a hint of the usual smile, the delight, the sheer joy that comes with seeing her. Nothing. Just so much meh.
Meh enough to come with another heavy sigh and a flop back, bonlessly almost, into the couch.
(Yes it is! But only if one is sneaking past a NaruMama!)
It's at this point that the ulcers Usagi complains about feel more real than not. Worried, she comes over to the couch. "What's wrong?"
There are, of course, tests one could do. And being a bestie, Usagi has more of an effective arsenal than most.
"Well, if I told Kunzite that you said you wanted to elope with him, you wouldn't mind, right? Or that Zoisite finds your painting droll?"
There should be a blush. At least a squeak of outrage, or horror, or a wide eyed blink at the very IDEA.
Instead, Naru just shrugs. "Enh." It's a very enlightening and erudite commentary on the notion of eloping with Kunzite to say the very least.
Naru sighs. "It doesn't matter. Most of my brain is pretty convinced it just doesn't matter. Anything. Nothing. All of it. Whatever."
Not only does her concern grow, but Usagi is very happy she didn't test the waters by supposing an end to their friendship. (Which would have hurt to say, of course, but it would have hurt to hear that it doesn't matter. And a crying bunny over the next half hour is not useful here.)
Worriedly, she wrings her hands as she tries to figure out what to do. In the meantime, she sends a text Kunzite.
TXT: Naru's...very meh. She wouldn't even care if I told you she wants to elope with you.
TXT: She doesn't! It was just a reaction test!
Usagi paces a bit. "Okay, so the only thing I can think to do is purify you. If that doesn't work, Mamo-chan or Kunzite may know what to do. If that doesn't work, I will hold your hand through therapy and support you while you adjust to your meds!"
After all, this could just be depression, right? And without magical influence to send Naru into that state, there's not actually a magical solution. Otherwise Usagi'd try to dose the world with cleansing every day if she could.
However, given how sudden this is, it should be safe to assume that this is magical in nature, right? So testing magical solutions shouldn't be a stupid thing to try, right?
As she paces, she changes back into Sailor Moon and her hands are now wringing the shaft of her crescent wand.
"Okay, so, if I do this, and it's the reason you're so meh, it may hurt lots. And I'm really, really, really sorry about that. And if it does and you get better, I'm probably gonna be crying."
A thought hits her. "You're not a NullNaru, are you? Taka-baka didn't replace you with a pod person, did he?" She really hopes not. Using the crystal against NullJupiter hurt like heck in her heart. Destroying a NullNaru may break it. "But no, of course, not, that would be silly! Besides, can it even be used on someone with no magic?" She snorts. "Well, of course you have magic. You draw like you do, and you've gotta be magic to put up with me for so long. But I'm talking about the magical girl magic, not the awesome inner magic you have. Okay. So. Again. If this works, I'm gonna cry. If it doesn't, let me know by saying 'meh' at me."
A clearing of her throat! And, because she doesn't want to attract attention from elsewhere, she almost whispers her attack. "Moon Healing Escalation!"
"No. Not Taka." Naru shakes her head, some tiny bit of her capable of providing information, even if not actually capable of doing much about it. "Some icy woman. Mou Fubuki."
Magical assumptions, ftw!
Naru nods a little. "I dont' care if it hurts." Which is probably the truth, even if there wasn't magical ennui helping that notion along, but in the scheme of 'is this worth it', having her head and heart back seems worth the pain.
Naru closes her eyes, as if somehow will help make it both not hurt, and just in case she summons up some sort of /something/ to make her fight back.
Which seems distinctly unlikely, as she can't even summon up the something to put the cap on her bottle of juice.
There's a pause after Sailor Moon directs her crescent wand towards her bestie and whispers her attack. Maybe it isn't dark energy!
Naru squeaks with a startled little yelp. "Oh yeah! That is not comfortable!"
Mou Fubuki. She makes a point to remember this name. After this attempt, there will be a text to Kunzite!
At first, she wonders if maybe it isn't dark energy related.
And then Naru squeaks and yelps, and Sailor Moon winces but keeps going. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Hopefully you'll feel better after, I'm so sorry!"
And of course, her eyes are stinging.
After all, she has experience with how much this can hurt. She just really hopes it doesn't get there for Naru!
"I know!" Naru has gained enough of her own brain back to be able to reassure Usagi. "It'll be fine. Don't stop." She bites her bottom lip against yelping again.
Clearly its already having an effect, she cares enough to not want to upset Usagi any more than she already has.
It's not as bad as it could be, which is something, and at least she's not a nullheart!
The reassurances work, more for the fact that Naru's making them than anything. Without them, and with Naru's current level of discomfort, there'd be more than a tear!
"Okay. Okay. I'm gonna...try to give it more. Maybe it'd be like ripping off a bandaid."
A breath, and then another, and then she's focusing on more of an output.
The good news is that afterwards, Naru should feel nice and refreshed, not unlike getting a spiritual enema.
"That smarts." Naru wriggles on the couch, twitching a little. "Not so bad." She tries to assure Usagi.
It's a lie. It's probably not even a terribly good lie, but she's trying.
"Totally like ripping a bandaid off my brain." Naru wrinkles up her nose. "Ow. But good ow. Ow."
The sigh that follows is entirely different, it's a sigh of relief, rather than ennui.
Usagi holds it for a second or five after Naru's sigh of relief. After all, it can't hurt, and it may even feel nice! Who knows!
Still, the wand is soon put away and she's back in school clothes when she nearly pounces on Naru, full of sniffles. "Are you sure?" Sniffle! "You really feel better? Did it hurt lots?" Sniffle! "I didn't really tell Kunzite you wanted to elope, and Zoisite doesn't really think your painting is droll. Droll means boring, right?" Sniffle!
And then she's checking Naru over, as if curse-induced mehs leave behind physical booboos.
"Droll means funny." Naru explains as she reaches her arms out and hugs Usagi close. "I feel /so/ much better."
The fact that there's inflections back in her words speaks louder than any one of those words might.
No physical booboos, nothing visible at least, but she's not moving like she's hurt.
"Gah, I hate having two different things in my head. It /sucks/." Naru declares with a more animated wrinkle of her nose.
More sniffles! But she snuggles in close. "Well, he likes it. I know that much."
She leans back from the hug to look at the nose wrinkle. "What do you mean? Were you internally caring about stuff but were just like 'meh' on the outside?"
"Yep." Naru nods in agreement as she sprawls over Usagi with a much more deliberate flop. "I could mostly work out that I SHOULD be doing stuff, and caring about things, and then I couldn't /do/ it."
"Just overwhelming 'enh' and not caring after.. the park. The park /sucks/." Naru informs Usagi.
Usagi pets Naru's hair and makes sympathetic noises in the back of her throat. "Yeah. It must have been hard, especially when you care about a lot of stuff."
A long, woeful sigh! "Maybe people should consider the park unofficially quarantined."
There's a moment where she's quiet. "I'm sorry. Do you wish I never told you?"
Because sometimes Usagi wonders if it's because Naru knows about everything that makes her an easier target.
"I kinda wanted to reclaim the park, after Fiore made it sort of suck." Naru pffts softly. "I'm not heading to the park again anytime soon."
She's quiet a moment as she looks at the table, with instant noodles and juice and leans into Usagi for a hug. "No. I'm not sorry. I mean I am. Sometimes. But not because I know. Mostly cause I keep needing rescuing and that /sucks/."
"Hopefully the park will be safer one day. Or we could try to find a way for you to protect yourself?" Usagi's very fond of this last idea. At the very least, it would give Naru the satisfaction of knowing she tried to stop something.
The hug is happily returned, of course. "Well, I don't mind rescuing you. Besides, at least now you know why those weird energy drains happen?"
Usagi also looks at the table. "I'll help you clean up."
"I'm trying that second one. Apparently one day of running doesn't quite cut it yet." Naru looks rueful as she pushes herself from the couch.
"Well, I don't actually know /why/. I mean.. I now know why I feel like crap periodically, but why I seem to do this once a week? No clue. Unless this happens to everyone?" Naru reaches over to put the lid on the juice.
All three of them.
She tilts her head. "When did you start running?"
This isn't meant to be disbelief or mean, of course. Usagi's just curious!
Usagi shrugs as she stands up and picks up the half eaten bowl of noodles. "I don't know. I mean, aside from wide areas of energy drains, I'm not sure if it usually happens to people who aren't magically inclined often? Though it probably means you have very tastey energy. And, if nothing else, it means the bad guys have good taste. Not that I want them at you, of course! But, well, I've always known you were awesome. Are you wanting to finish this or do you want me to throw it away?"
"Yesterday. Today I'll need to apologize to Hannah, although she might just .. y'know.. I'm not sure what she's going to do." Naru hunhs softly as she considers that a moment. "I should keep Dai's number on speed dail."
"I'm so done with the noodles." Naru confirms with a little wrinkle of her nose. "I generally confuse the bad guys, I'm not sure if that makes me tasty or not. No repeats so far."
Usagi looks at Naru with something akin to horror. Possibly even some Vietnam-level flashbacks. "Hannah-chan?! Oh boy, she's tough! She's...she's not teaching you kickboxing, is she?"
She grabs whichever bottles of juice Naru doesn't want out to drink to take it with her, aiming to put them in the fridge while she throws away the noodles.
It should be noted on the questionable nature of the noodles that Usagi isn't offering or wanting to finish them...
"That's good, at least? I mean, there's not a lot of badguys. Eventually you may run out if they keep it up?"
She hums on her way back in. "That wouldn't hurt. Also, what about a sort of panic button? Kinda like those life-alert things?"
"I'm more worried about keeping Dai's number on speed dial for having stood Hannah up, than for anything else." Naru flashes a grin as she reaches for the paper to smooth them out and see what she'd been drawing.
Or not drawing at least.
Naru giggles softly. "I hadn't thought of it that way! I am /totally/ going to run out soon. Win!
"I dunno." Naru isn't so keen on the panic button notion. "I mean.. if I /know/, I should be able to take care of myself? Right? Like even a /little/?"
Usagi giggles. "To be fair to Hannah, she's never beat me up for missing things. Though odds are you'll get very, very sore muscles."
She sighs as she sits back down on the couch, pulling up her knees. "Well, I mean, there's probably ways to tell sometimes things are gonna happen? I dunno. A feel in the air?" She shrugs. "I've never paid attention. But I'll ask Mamo-chan about stuff. I think he suggested something when I was busy Not Panicking when Melanite took you."
"I am pretty sure just the running is out to kill me. Kunzite is insane. I love him, but he's insane." Naru rolls her eyes as she crumples the pages back up again.
Even in her meh state, her current state agrees with the lack of useful drawings or notes upon them.
"I usually notice right about when someone's grabbed me." Naru gives a little shrug. "A bit of warning would be cool. I'm hoping to figure out how to get away too, which would be awesome. I'm alright kinda.. mostly.. after a drain these days. I mean, unless they knock me out entirely."
"Yeaaaaaah. I was pretty sure Hannah's idea of a light jog would kill me, too. And I run to school almost every day! You'd think that'd be enough!"
She hums and leans against Naru again. "Yeah, that's always nice. I'll go ahead and ask him. Maybe some other people, too."
Naru leans against Usagi and then gives her another quick hug. "I'm still glad I know. Even if it's messy and complicated and makes some people cranky with me, I'm still glad I know."
There's a little mmm, thoughful and then Naru asks. "Do you ever wish you didn't?"
Being a teenager of today, it's easy to multitask with a phone. So Usagi only really has to glance at hers on occasion while she types.
TXT: Remember when Melanite took Naru? What did you suggest to protect her? Would that still work?
Ooops, forgot something important!
TXT: Oh also!! I love yoooou! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Usagi hums in thought. "Sometimes? I mean, I miss when my biggest concern was homework and my greatest heartaches were when we were fighting." She sighs, though. "But I think I'd only want to not know if it meant I could still keep all my friends."
"You didn't worry /that/ much about homework." Naru teases with a little laugh. "Yeah... I can see that. I love the people that I've met. I dont want to have to be a burden on all of them. They're /fascinating/."
Naru bends to pick up the blanket, to fold it and toss it back on the couch. "Say hi to Endy for me." She can assume on who Usagi is texting.
Usagi sticks her tongue out at Naru. "I'm passing now, at least!"
Bleeeee!
"I don't think you're a burden. I mean, you add to my ulcers I'm not completely sure I have, but I think that was actually worse before you knew. Trying to keep it from you and all that."
TXT Mamo-chan: Love you too! Um. Well one was getting her a precure card but that's looking like a worse and worse idea. One was getting her a barrier jacket and intelligent device, like Hannah's or Suzu-chan's. I can't remember the others right now. I think you have to have a specific super powerful dream of the future to be a chara bearer.
A gasp! How did Naru know!
Couldn't be her smitten little smile, could it?
TXT: Naru says 'Hi, Endy!' Yeah, precure seems...not something for Naru. I could ask Tadase or Kukai about the bearer thingies! Think it's something Hannah would help with? Without expecting Naru to do her bidding for a bit? Does she owe me a favor? Does ANYONE owe me a favor? @_@
TXT: Also, don't study too hard, okay? I'll come distract you if I gotta!
"You're going to drive yourself crazy worrying over everyone. Maybe things will calm down now that Fiore's not evil anymore?" Naru sounds hopeful on that front. "There's still Taka, though."
Naru watches that smitten little smile and shakes her head a bit, wandering off to the kitchen with a couple more bits and pieces. "Want anything? Or does the power of Endy's texts sustain you?"
"Well, yeah. But if I didn't worry, I wouldn't be Usagi!" Or at least not an Usagi she'd like! "And I hope so! But with Taka-baka, I'm willing to bet things will still be interesting." A pout and a glare!
Usagi blushes and almost splutters! "W-what! Pff! I doubt even Mamo-chan could distract me from offers of drink or food!" A beat. "You got anything to drink? And any left overs you guys are just gonna throw away? I could eat them for you if they're not fuzzy!"
"What's up with him and Ami currently? Still off?" Naru asks as she goes digging into the fridge to come out with snacks for both of them. Healthy snacks even, although without cute little animal cut outs.
"There's juice. There's tea. There's water. I think there's pop too." Naru peers in the fridge evaluating the drink options for Usagi.
"Life is eternally and always interesting." Naru agrees.
Usagi shrugs. "Last I heard. Though I think he'd have to do something drastic to make Ami even consider it at this point."
She believes, at the very least, Takashi would have to apologize to the entirety of Tokyo.
Hah, little does she know...
"Ohhh, pop, please! I want the nose tickly!"
Naru takes a can of pop out and slides it over for Usagi, next to the snacks as she pulls up a seat at the breakfast bar to be able to enjoy her own rice crakcers and dip and veggies and all sorts of healthy food. Juice for her as she reaches over for her own phone.
"Did Endy have any suggestions, or did you two get distracted being adorable?" Naru asks as she scrolls through a collection of texts that she couldnt be bothered to reply to before, and taps one of her own before going back to snacking.
TXT to Kunzite: How badly is Hannah going to smite me for missing this morning?
Usagi joins Naru at the breakfast bar. And her cheeks turn pink!
"We're not adorable! We're tough and grr!" They're totally adorable, stop lying.
She taps her chin. "He suggests a few things. I'll talk to Hannah-chan about one of them because I don't know Suzu-chan as well. And maybe talk to Tadase-kun or Kukai-kun about the other."
She sighs, heavily woefully, at her phone. "I think studying's stolen him from me again."
"You two are totally adorable." Naru assures with a little grin. "Adorable enough to even make me think that boyfriends might not be awful."
Naru pauses. "Then again, you guys are kinda offset by Ami and Taka. Soo." She hrms and reaches for her juice to take a long drink.
"Of those four, I know only two. I've never met Tadase, although I'd like to. I've heard of him."
Naru glances at her phone as it bings back the reply and she snorts softly in amusement. "Kunzite tells me that 'I needed an exorcism' might appease Hannah for missing this morning."
Another blush and grin! "Nooo, he's the adorable one!" And then a slight scowl. "Ug, right? My advice is aim for the middle, but more near us. Or more near us! Naru-chan deserves the best boyfriend ever! Okay, second best, I already have the best." A pause, and a beat. "Or girlfriend. You can have the best girlfriend, because I don't have one of those."
Usagi nods! "I haven't talked much with Tadase-kun. But he holds Mamo-chan in high reguard, so he has good taste!"
Usagi, your bias is showing again.
Then she giggles. It's so much easier to giggle about something scary when it's over! "I think it counts! And you can totally tell her I cried escalating you. That could hold some weight!" A beat. "Legit crying, not 'oh noes I tripped over air and scraped my knee' crying."
There's a few more beeps from Naru's phone and a bit more typing. She too is a modern teenage girl and she laughs softly before she nudges her phone aside. "I dunno. I've never had anyone be interested, boyfriend or girlfriend." Naru isn't about to eschew half the population here. "Or both. Wait. Like someone who is both, not two someones." That clarification is relevant.
Naru giggles along with Usagi. The whole thing /is/ much easier once its all over and done and everyone is pretty much fine.
Fine enough to be eating hummus and rice crackers at least. "I am totally using you as my alibi." Naru points out with a gesture of a cracker. "And I'm so glad you did it, but I hope you never have to do it to me again. I would so rather get energy drained."
Usagi snorts before she leans forward. "Then they're all fools! Fools, I say! And I don't know. I think if all parties are in the know, two someones is fine."
"Good, you better!" And her lean turns into a slump. "Ugggg, I'd rather not for both, but I guess with being drained you can gain the energy back."
"Two someones is fine, but if I haven't figured out one someone, and it doesn't seem super likely, two seems even less likely. I mean, statistically speaking." Naru mmms softly and then crunches on a cracker.
"Based on the fact that I need one of those little signs 'it's been 2 days since Naru got chewed on', so that I can change it lots.. energy drain at least comes back not too bad." Naru quirks a smile. "Although I'm gonna get picky on who, some hurt more than others."
"Well. I still think there's gonna be someone who likes Naru lots. There probably already is a bunch!" A beat. "Hopefully not Umino." Another beat. "But I mean if you decided to date him I wouldn't be all judgey!" Another beat. "I'll hush now."
A short snippet of a tango chimes.
TXT Mamo-chan: Ask Suzu-chan instead of Hannah.
TXT Mamo-chan: also hi naru
TXT Mamo-chan: also sorry i'm super distracted by schoolwork it's ok
"Mamo-chan says hi back." Half distracted Usagi is half distracted!
TXT: I figured! Studying keeps trying to keep you away from me, but I will perservere!
TXT: And yeaaaah, Hannah-chan may not be the best person to ask.
Usagi perks up! "Oh oh! And there could be a prize whenever you hit milestones! Like every fifth day or something! And the longer you go, the better the prize!"
TXT Mamo: But Suzu is good for it. Also a good person to try might be Nanoha.
TXT: I don't know Nanoha, though D: I've met Suzu-chan a few times!
"I.." Naru pauses to think on that a moment and then says without any irony at all. "I have no plans to date Umino." She gives her head a little shake and then watches Usagi and Mamo go back to being cute at a distance.
Naru is pretty good at quiet, and at drinking her juice and crunching her snack while typing and debate continues.
Naru laughs softly. "I like the idea of prizes, but as far as I know, I don't actually /do/ anything to provoke them. Although if I am, I'd love to know what so I can stop it. The attention is flattering, but still."
Usagi slumps in relief! But she was telling the truth. If Naru decided to date Umino, she wouldn't think her friend suddenly had cooties!
"Well, maybe it can happen when we figure out a way for you to! Or oooo, what if they all have crushes on you? But instead of pulling your hair, they do the even jerkier drain your energy thing?" She tsks and shakes her head. "While there's no question about good taste, I would not advice dating them."
"I dunno..." Naru starts and then pauses. And pauses. "Mou Fubuki.. that would be a really boring relationship.. the one in the alley is a /hell/ no. The creepy doll wouldnt be /so/ bad, Lacrima has some issues, but I could think of worse and Fiore was kinda obsessed. The green dude, nope. He didnt appreciate my art." She shakes her head and grins. "I think we're safe from me dating any of them."
Naru smiles a little. "How was the big fancy ball?"
Usagi nods along to Naru's assessment. She also wonders if it would be healthy to start a 'List Of People I Want To Beat Up.' She scoffs at the green guy. "He clearly has no taste in art."
Then she grins and blushes! "It was nice!" She pulls out her phone to show Naru more pictures of the dress! "And after I got Kunzite to dance with me! And that's also where Mamo-chan gave me this..."
She blushes more as she shows Naru the pretty but simplistically designed ring!
"He also shoved me in a mirror for all of eternity, so I think that would probably be a poor basis for a relationship." Naru comments upon the green dude in question as if this is a fault about on par with 'smells funny' or 'no sense of humour'. "No taste in art at all."
"You got Kunzite to dance with you? Awesome!" Naru beams at the idea. "He's a good dancer. He probably looked super sharp too." She leans in to admire the ring properly.
"Ooooh! So prettty!" Naru has the suitable girly squeal about pretty gifts from beaus. "Endy's got great taste in jewelry, and I know nice jewelry!"
She nods even more! "Very true! Using a mirror like that, hmph! Just plain rude to do to a girl!" This, of course, is said as though the guy had given the wrong response to 'do I look fat in this?'
"I did! And he is! We sort of slipped into really old school dancing though, I think. But I didn't tromp on his toes, so bonus! I also didn't tromp on Rei's toes! Or Mamo-chan's!"
Usagi mirrors Naru's squeal. "Right? All in all, it was a good birthday! Even if I forgot until that day that it even was my birthday!"
"I think that a big fancy dress ball is exactly where really old school dancing isn't terribly weird." Naru assures Usagi with a little laugh. "Not stepping on his toes is a feature. Although it wouldnt be the first time." Nor, by her tone, the last time.
Naru reaches for Usagi's phone, to be able to scroll through more pictures. "I'm glad you took these, so I could see everyone looking all super spiffy. You /do/ look amazing. All of you."
Naru grins brightly. "It seems like a pretty good way to spend a birthday, really, all dressed up and dancing with your sweetie at a fru fru event."
"Yes. But I didn't even know I knew that dance." She shrugs! And then she giggles. "I'm sure he'll handle it the way he handles everything." Here, she tries to mimic Kunzite's Very Put Upon face.
Usagi claps her hands and gives a happy little wiggle! "Everyone was so pretty! And I think Kukai-kun has a boyfriend! I huehuehue'd at them once."
And she nods again! "Plus they had very yummy food! And I was very good about the champagne. I only had a couple sips!"
Naru giggles softly. "It's true!" She gestures at Usagi's mimic of Kunzite's 'Very Put Upon' face. "Although usually he just manages not to have his feet there next time." Becuase Naru actually knows this, almost first hand.
"Kukai-kun absolutely has a boyfriend, and they are /adorable/ together. I saw them being all cute at the beach at that beach party thing." Naru grins brightly at the idea, not even a little bit jealous. "Any other unexpected pairings?"
Serious nods! "Oh yes, yes. Unless it's not dancing and someone just hugging on him. Not that I do that, of course, heehee, but he's very huggable!"
Usagi squeals a bit and claps! "They are! And I didn't really see any couples I didn't already know about! At least not the ones I already knew! There were strangers all over the place!"
