Reiko Touyama had a talk with some people in the Game Crown Earlier and then it occurred to her. Why /couldn't/ she preempt that? Give her the Prism before Shades or Griselda or random youma number 56-A attacked. She made sure that Sumire was home, before she walked up to the door and then pressed her finger to the doorbell, softly sighing.
Biv sat on her right shoulder, the bluebird accompanying her today- instead of Roy. Biv never gets to go out on these things anyways!
She softly waits politely at the door taking a deep breath. "You can do this. You can do this. You can do this." she mutters under her breath.
Indigo Angel Tenshi opened the door after a few minutes. As in, actual minutes. The smell of stew flows out from the room. Sumire looked her up and down, before cocking her head to the side. "Reiko-chan? What are you doing here?" She pulled back and opened the door a bit. "Come in, if you like. Your bird is house trained, right? I can't have it pooping all over the place."
Her books were on the dining room table and a big pot was on the stove, with a foot stool in front of it. As always, she was home alone, taking care of herself. There was also a training rapier by the couch, laying propped up besides it. "Are you intending to stay long?"
Reiko Touyama smiles a bit and waves. "Hey Sumire-chan!" she sings out. "I shouldn't be too long." she says. "I have to talk to you about something important thou." she says softly. She turns around and sighs a bit as she takes a deep breath. "Biv?" she asks. "No Biv is housetrained." she insists. Of course Biv is. She can turn into a human and use the bathroom just fine! Though she isn't doing that here. "She'll be fine." she says.
She eyes the training rapier, remembering some things as she moves to the couch.
"Get comfortable. This is gonna be. Kinda weird to talk about." she says softly.
Indigo Angel Tenshi blinked a few times and stared at her. She then smiled, walked over and took her hands firmly in hers. She then gave her the softest, gentlest smile. "Oh, Reiko-chan. I know exactly what this is." She went down on her knees and smiled gently up at the girl, such a comforting smile.
"And listen, there's nothing weird with it. Plenty of boys and girls have confessed to me over the years, I'm used to it. But I'm sorry, i can't return those feelings. But please, it is only natural. I understand if you adore my music so much you've gained misguided... desires. But they can never be."
Reiko Touyama blinks when Sumire finally /tries/ to put what she has to ask about together and she just flusters. "What!? N-no! That's not what I have to talk about!" she huffs. Sumire is famous and pretty but... that attitude? She knows she has? She couldn't deal dating that even if she was sixteen let alone eleven. "No it's something else we have to talk about." she says as she bites her lip.
"Do you... remember the game we used to play?" she asks. "Prism Keepers?" she asks.
"About the magical girls?" she asks quietly.
"The one Hiroko-chan quit and ruined on her way out?" she asks.
"It's kind of. Become real." she says quietly.
She's expecting the laughter any moment now.
Indigo Angel Tenshi blinked a few times and cocked her head to the side. "I... what?" And then she listened, nodding slowly. "Ah... I... see," she said before walking to the kitchen and stirring the stew. She was silent for a long moment before she started chopping up the onions and tossing them in. She seemed calmed and collected.
Internally, she was trying not to laugh. She couldn't believe Reiko made up a silly story like that. Become real? what did that even mean? Were they in some kind of silly larp thing? She didn't have time for something like that. "Will you be staying for supper?"
Reiko Touyama blinks. No 'you're full of it' or 'ahahaha that's a good one, Reiko!' just a 'Ah I see' and then asking if she's staying for supper. "Um. Sure. I'll stay for supper." she says softly with another soft and confused blink.
"But... yeah. Just. The Shades? and the Prisms? They're real." she says. "So is The Grey Kingdom. And that's why I warned you about Hiroko. Because she's Griselda. Like me and Mei-chan wrote about after the game ended- but not against her will. She's been... taken. Controlled." she says.
"She isn't herself." she says.
"Lots of other things are 'real'. Like know the Sailor Senshi dolls in the crane games? Those girls are real too!" she says.
Indigo Angel Tenshi was shaking. Really, really shaking. She was trying not to laugh, trying so hard. And... she couldn't stop herself. She finally let out a giggle, which gave way to a full fit of helpless giggles, almost keeling over with laughter.
"O-oh my goodness, Reiko-chan. You have such an active imagination. But I see what this is." She stood up and waved a dismissive hand. "Listen, Reiko-chan. when I was a kid--" WAS a kid? "Mother just needed a babysitter. And that game was, admittadly, fun to place. You were so kind to let me be the most important one, Violet." Oh, because she totally didn't refuse to play if they didn't let her be her special snow flake self. "But I no longer have the time, or the energy, to play them with you. I am so sorry, but you'll need to find someone else to play Violet."
Reiko Touyama now she gets what she expected and she kind of miserably runs a hand down her face. "It isn't fake!" she huffs. "I'm Prism Keeper Orange! and Hoshi is Yellow! and Kaeru is Blue! and Momo is Pink! and Mei-chan is Red!" she says. "And sometimes Shades attacks! and we found out Hiroko was Girselda for real, Sumire-chan!" she says.
"Everyone that was involved in the game is becoming who they were in the game!" she says.
"That means you're Prism Keeper Purple, Sumire!" she says with wide eyes. "Or you will be!" she says.
"I'm not kidding around!"
Indigo Angel Tenshi sighs and then fills two bowls with the stew, walking them to the table. She then glances down to Reiko. "Uh... huh. So there's shades and other things flying around. Attacking people and only the prism kee... no. I'm sorry, I can't humor this. It's just... too silly. I understand, Reiko-chan. You're bored in school, looking for some way to... entertain yourself. Perhaps you could try writing or something. But don't go dragging me or any of the other girls into your fantasy world. It's just... sad."
She sat down and took a small sip. "If it's real... prove it," she finally said, giving a shrug.
Reiko Touyama frowns and just squints her eyes.
"Well. It is real." says the bird on her shoulder. Yeah that totally just happened. "And that all happened!" she says cheerfully. Biv isn't as tactful and serious as Roy. Reiko nods matter of factly. "This is Biv! She's one of our mascots!" she beams.
Biv nods matter of factly.
"Anyways." she says. "Fine you want proof fine!" she huffs.
She draws the prism around her neck out from under her shirt and it begins to glow between her hands and hovers between them.
"Chroma Prism Orange... Transform!" she calls out.
There's a bright, orange transformation sequence here. Tiny orange koi form a pretty dress and tie a bow in her hair- with one of them becoming a fish clip at the center of the bow- as tiny fairy wings pop into existence on her back. She huffs as the prism forms the Chroma Wand she swings it down. She is now Prism Keeper Orange. She huffs.
"See!" she says.
A talking bird. And also. A henshin! Surely this is enough.
Right?
Sumire Tenshi stared at her. Just stared. She'd probably seen this look before. The... glazed over, mind trying to process magic, and failing, look. It was probably no surprise when she came out of it and blinked.
"Oh, wow, Reiko-chan, I didn't know you could throw your voice like that, you're pretty talented. And you changed your outfit so quickly. But please, don't use flashing lights like that, or throw your fish toys around. It's too late for such silly things." Oh yeah. Completely mundane. "But that's hardly proof. It is a cute little costume for yourself though, silly."
If there was an anime they'd be this undramatic 'quack noise' after that statement. She frowns heavily. "W--what!? No! This is proof!" she huffs! Crap, Naru was right. She /can't/ see even after the talking bird and sudden transformation.
"This isn't like that!" she huffs as her henshin flashes away in a bright flash again. Her Chroma Prism is back around her neck on that necklace. Back to just Reiko.
"I wasn't throwing my voice!" she says.
She makes an adorable angry face as she huffs.
"This isn't just a game, Sumire-chan!" she says.
Sumire Tenshi sighed and placed a hand to her forehead. "Please, Reiko-chan. I want to be your friend, I really do." Maybe not as much as before she thought Reiko was crazy, but still. "I get it, this 'not-game' means a lot to you. And I appreciate that you want me to play with you, I really do. But I don't have the time. I have responsibilities. Between school, fencing, my duties as an idol." She then sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"It's really cute that you're still playing that game and I'm sure there's some boy out there who's going to find you absolutely adorable for it, but I really can't keep wasting my time on such silly notions."
Reiko Touyama sighs and holds her nose bridge. "Fine. It's a game. Sure." she says because she has to agree right now if Sumire won't accept 'magical transformation' as proof. "Just... PLEASE watch out for Hiroko-chan." she says. "Whether it's a game or not. She's dangerous." she says softly.
"Okay?" she asks softly as calmly as possible.
Sumire Tenshi nodded. "Of course she is," Sumire said, managing to avoid rolling her eyes. "I'll keep that in mind and avoid getting close to her." Well, the girl hadn't even tried to come in contact with her since she'd arrived, so she wasn't too worried about encountering her.
Besides, Reiko seemed to be the unbalanced and possibly dangerous one. Really? Magic and that stuff was real? It was a little sad, taking the game so far. But she supposed not everyone could be as fulfilled as her. She looked thoughtful. Should she cut ties with Reiko?
... No. No. She could handle it. She hated to admit it, but a part of her had... missed this. Even if it was slowing her studies down.
