It's a wonderfulc o outside in Uminari City, in a cosy little corner of the city just outside the bigger part of the residential district. A few small, family-owned businesses are here, though most have closed earlier in the evening.
A small little store is just now closing up, and the last of the patrons are leaving with bags of goodies.
And atop the building itself, lies a strange, out of place person in strange clothes with green skin and long blue hair. He draws a card from his vest, and brings a flute to his lips. And plays a song, a quiet song, but one that carries magically.
And from that card a creature erupts, a feminine form made of blue and purple crystal, and slamming its fists into the ground. The civilians are engulfed in crystal and their energy is drained, while the humanoid crystal creature laughs wickedly, and the boy just watches from above.
Its been quite the busy day for Rena. She has been up since dawn having made her yummy, Pineapple mango shortbread cookies for her friends today, Not to mention some yummy blueberry coffee cakes. She has done fairly well. She came home. She did her homework, and of course did what any self respecting girl whose been up since o'dark-thirty would do. She been taking a nap. She is out cold. She is quite dead to the world as it were. No idea what is going on in the area of her own apartment.
Suddenly there is something going on? Not just outside, but inside her room. The plushie-bearlike fairy, Dabble is stirring. She'd been tinkering as usual. Sadly though thats changed. She flies over to the sleeping Rena and begins poking her. Nope not working. "Rena! You need to get up! There's trouble! I feel it! Wake up!" Still no luck. She sighs and rolls her eyes. Taking the rather cute tophat off her head, She sets it aside and then proceeds to jump up and down on Rena as though she is a trampoline! "GET! UP! YOU! LAZY! SENTINEL! THERE! IS! TROUBLE!"
That gets her attention. "AHHH!" She springs up, flails a bit and promptly falls out of bed. "Dabble! Come on! I'm tired! I don't do that to you when you're sleeping!" She grumbles and lets out a big yawn. Quickly she stands up and looks around. "Now what was so crazy that I needed to be up?"
The Fairy just sighs softly, "There is something really wrong going on. I can feel it. It doesn't feel like the stuff from Craft and Red Tree but it is really intense. Its dark!"
Rena raises an eyebrow, "Let me see what it says on the news okay?" As good a copout as any. She turns on the tv to see if anything is being reported.
"Wow, is it that late already?" Makoto is yawning as she and Ami step out of one of the few shops that's still open, shopping bags in hand. "Sorry, I didn't mean to keep you running around this long. I just get caught up when I find a place that has such cute things, though."
As she lets her hand drop away from her mouth, she glances back to grin at her friend. "I can't help myself. I still think you should've gotten that skirt that was on sale. I'd have bought it myself if it came in my size, but it'd look even better on you--
This cheerful conversation comes to an abrupt end as screams rise over the quiet street. In an instant, Mako has gone from sleepy-eyed to fully alert. "Ami-chan--"
She doesn't have to say more. Without another word, she grabs for Ami's hand, tugging her swiftly to the nearest convenient gap between buildings before she raises her transformation pen high.
"Jupiter Star Power - Make UP!"
Electricity flashes, bright in the shadows, before Sailor Jupiter emerges from between buildings and starts homing in on the sounds of violence.
"But it was so short," Ami says, blushing a little at Makoto's compliment of the skirt. "I would have felt so awkward wearing that around Takashi-kun." Nevertheless, she does have a handful of shopping bags. It's not like she bought nothing on this venture!
"Anyways, I'm just as happy with the shorts I got instead,' Ami says, smiling as she and Makoto start towards the bus stop.
But when Makoto grabs her hand, Ami looks confused and makes a soft, "Eru?" she asks in confusion. What is even going on? She has no idea, but Makoto's transforming, so there's really only one thing to do! Ami drops her bags and holds up her transformation pen.
"Mercury Star Power! Make Up!"
A sudden rush of water engulfs Ami, washing away the mundane, and leaving the silhouette of a girl in its midst. That water collapses in on Ami until it transforms into the multi-hued blue and white fuku of Sailor Mercury.
Mercury reaches up to activate her goggles almost immediately as she follows Jupiter towards the sounds of violence--now far more audible when she's not listening to the doki doki of her heartbeat dwelling on short skirts.
Sky Jack is out for the evening, patrolling. He'd left an urgent message on Tadase's phone asking him to call him back or meet him somewhere, but so far there'd been no response. So, until he gets more information, he's out patrolling for the night. Tonight he's covering the north end of town - part of him can't stand to be much further from the high-end district than he has to be, and he may have to be there at any moment.
So for now he's flying up over the streets, watching for trouble, trying to extend his senses and feel for disturbances - something he thinks he must be moderately bad at, because there's nothing there.
At least, nothing he can see just yet. There's a flash of blue in the distance, and so Kukai turns his flying snowboard that direction, curious about the flicker...
Among the people wandering to and fro in the city at this time of evening, a little girl walking her dog is probably not the most out of place sight. Now, a little girl walking a dog that is nearly twice her size, might be a bit overkill.
It just so happens that Ariel is wandering this particular section of Uminari tonight and, somehow, has gotten Lucky to accept that no matter how big he is; leash laws are binding. Literally. But there are greater laws that must be heeded in times of crises.
The law of necessity.
See, as people all around become encased in crystal, the crystalline woman makes her landing, and that eerily floating tune flows on the air, the small girl takes a slow, deep, breath. Though Ariel looks very much on edge, to her credit, she does not panic. She performs one simple, casual, act.
She unclips Lucky's leash.
Chloe had been chatting with Cathy for most of the day, whom had been drawing in her new notebook while talking. She'd been baking as well, mostly snacks for herself and Cathy after they had done their homework. It had mostly been a day of video games and baking for them.....when Chloe's Medallion flared to life, even in front of Cathy.
Disturbance Detected! Disturnace Detected!
This makes Chloe bring out her medallion and Cathy is instantly up. "Really? Can I help?" Her enthusiasm is contagious, but Chloe places her hand on Cathy's shoulder. "I'm afraid not, Cathy. You know it'll mean trouble, and I'm not going to watch you get hurt." She says starting to leave. "Please stay here and I'll be back as soon as I can." She says walking out the door, carrying her medallion in her hand.
Once she's alone, she sighs and looks at the medallion.
Let's Go! Burning Soul! ACTIVATE!
Burning Soul....Setting up.
A transmutation circle appears under Chloe's feet and above her head, slowly coming together to make her clothes of a long red jacket and black boots with black gloves. The Medallion itself becomes a spear. Chloe slooks at her hands and takes the spear. "I'm not going to get used to this." She says as she loosk up. "Shortest way there."
Flight.
And Chloe takes off into the sky. Thankfully, no one saw her.....
There's nothing on the news, of course, because people subconsciously find reasons to divert themselves around the area. At least, the people not currently trapped in crystalline structures. The crystals gleam as energy flows from them, in lightning-like lines on the ground, to the humanoid Cardian.
As the heroes of Tokyo begin to group around the youma, Ail doesn't even rise from his perch. He even keeps the flute in one hand, sneering down at the assembled group. "Not even back on this planet a whole hour and here you all are." he says, almost like it's a destined encounter. He raises the flute to his lips, he plays a tune, and the crystalline Cardian hisses out "Tenmai!" - and its body begins to grow jagged shards, which it swings a hand and ushers forward a cutting wind, a cutting line of glass blades whistling through the air.
The boy on the edge just keeps making dissatisfied faces at the heroes, though.
"It can't be that big a deal, there is nothing on the news right? Now can I go back to bed?" Rena questions.
Dabble looks like she could burn holes through Rena with her eyes. "Of course it wouldn't be on the news it's magic GET OUT THERE!!!" She shouts at the girl.
Rena looks about three inches tall and has a sweat drop coming off her head. She nods, "Right!" She quickly checks outside her room to make sure no one is awake. Of course no one is. Her parents run a resturant. Of course they wouldn't be awake. Rather then going out the front door, She goes to her window and opens it. There is the noise she couldn't here. There is definitely trouble and now she knows it. "Sorry Dabble. Lets do it!"
Quickly she turns her watch. "Aether Spirit, SHINE!"The ticking of a clock rings out and then there is the the orange colored light show as her clothing and physical appearance swiftly change. "The fire which melts the coldest heart, Steam Sentinel Joy!" And with that the light show is over.
Joy jumps down out of the window and down onto the street. Thankfully its only three stories but hey perks of the job. She rapidly makes her way toward the screaming and of course finds the sources. "Woah! Okay I wonder what the that thing is worth... Think of all the goodies we could get with it!"
Dabble follows behind her, "Not very much on Gearwork, maybe people like crystals more here?"
This is clearly a bad situation.
Ariel does not like bad situations.
Seeing others arrive and transform on site, or swoop in from the greaty yonder already in battle regalia however convinces the girl that maybe, just maybe, it might be a good idea to do the same, herself. She gently fingers at the star-shaped pendant glimmering on her neck, pale lips pursing with a blatant hesitance and worry.
Then she's given no choice. The Cardian attacks. Ariel lets out an undignified, bell-like, bleat as Lucky YANKS her out of the path of oncoming glass and crystal shards in flight. "Wah!"
There's a flash of starry white-gold light, and Ariel's body is encased in silvery armor, the little nub of her horn, loppy ears, and her tail, no longer hidden from sight as she leaps onto her dog's back like a steed as he snarls.
she glances up at the voice. "Um...?"
She's caught WHOLLY off guard. And she doesn't quite leap into action! No, the silver-haired unicorn-girl furrows her brow, before tugging Lucky sidewards. "I'll just... do this."
She's headed for one of the people trapped in crystal. A beat of concentration and a shimmering hammer and chisel form in her grasp from the fabric of her dreams and...
She starts trying to chisel at the crystal like a bad sculpture, and free the person locked within.
As she's flying in, Chloe actually picks up her phone and dials Rena's number.....and finds it busy. "Well....hopefully she's on her way." CHloe says as she swoops down to find the youma there...
And to find grass blades coming her way. "That's....not a very impressive attac..." The grass blades hit the barrier....HARD! "EEEP! Open my mouth will I?" She says as she flys out of the rest of the blast. "Well, if it's grass...." She says as she looks to her spear. "Shooting form."
SHOOTING FORM! It says as it reconfigures itself.
"it worked last time....let's see if it does this time. "FIRE BOLT!"
FIRE BOLT!
One red orb of fire streaks towards the Youma, even with the grass attacks.
Sky Jack approaches the flashing blue light, and as he gets closer, he can hear the muffled cries. There are more sounds and flashes now, and Ail's subconscious barrier doesn't even block Jack's approach.
He sees the giant crystal figure and the multiple trapped people around her, as well as the others who've shown up. "What the... ok, time for you to back off!"
A soccer ball appears in midair in front of his foot, and as he punts it electricity and power transfer from him into the ball, which rockets down towards the crystallized female form! "Let 'em go and stand down, and we won't bust you into pieces!"
Even though he's in midair, though, he hasn't seen the flute-holding figure atop the building.
"Jupiter," Mercury calls as they come into view, "It's draining energy from all of those people. We have to get them free," she tells her friend, then bounds into the air, heading for a place out of the immediate line of the fight. But she didn't see those shards of glass flying, and Mercury takes one to the stomach. She cries out in pain and falls back, guarding herself. "What was that?!" she asks, reaching down to pull a shard of glass from her body. She hisses in pain, then studies the shard a moment, analyzing it.
"Be careful, its attacks may be difficult to see, but they are magical!"
And then she raises her arms high and water manifests around her like three live and active serpents, dancing around Mercury at her command. She spins once, drawing the water with her as she calls, "Shine Aqua Illusion!"
Suddenly there are six of Mercury, all rushing straight towards the Cardian to confuse and distract it from the real attack: a gout of highly pressurized, magically charged water.
"Got it," Sailor Jupiter answers Mercury, but she doesn't turn her attention from the crystalline monster to the bystanders in their crystal prisons just yet. First things first - she throws out both hands toward the Cardian, scattering petals into the air. "Flower Hurricane!"
The wind answers her call, rushing past her to catch the floating petals and turn them into a blizzard of color and fragrance roaring to meet the onslaught of razor-edged glass shards. Some of the glass blades cut through; others are blunted amidst the barrage of petals, which swirl around the duplicate Sailor Mercuries to further disorient and confuse.
Meanwhile, Jupiter homes in on the nearest hunk of crystal and the human shape she can see trapped within it. "Hope this works," she mutters to herself, drawing back her hand - and then, with a "--hah!" of sharply-exhaled breath, she drives her arm forward in an open-palmed strike at the side of the crystal structure.
No, the crystalline youma isn't much like clockwork at all, jutting spears of crystal from her body and a blank stare on her face. Chloe's firebolt streaks in, and the Cardian puts up an arm to shield itself, and the heat washes over it, causing a chunk of it to glow red-hot. That's the chunk that Sky Jack's charged soccerball hits, though, and when it makes contact a section of the youma's arm detonates in a crstal spray, leaving a jagged missing peice.
"Hey!" Ail says, standing him. "I don't interrupt YOUR meals. Humans are so very rude." he says, looking down on them. Dealing with these 'defenders' was something he hadn't been looking forward to, but... a necessary problem, give his fruitless attempts to find a home elsewhere. For En... for the tree... for survival, he'd fight.
The Cardian turns, swinging bladed hands at the copies of Mercury, further disoriented by the flower petal storm all around it. Then the gushing blast of magical water slams into it, knocking it off balance and forcing it back.
5
This gives Ariel and Jupiter time to break through the crystalline cocoons, releasing their unconscious inhabitants and stopping the energy drain for two of the four trapped subjects.
Enraged, the youma slams one hand into the ground, which sends a line of energy crackling along it before the sidewalk splits open and a surge of purple energy bursts forward, trapping anyone (or any part of anyone) who doesn't move fast enough in their own crystal casing.
Then, its other hand turns from an arm into a long blade of sharp, obsidian like deep purple, and it surges forward, leaping into the air trying to drive it straight through Sky Jack!
"Looks like we know what works. Nice one!" Rena calls out to Chloe and then gets her own self into the fight. "That looked like fun!" She states and quickly arcs her arms in a circle. Then forming a heart with her arms, she calls out. "BLAZING HEART BEAM!" A heart shaped beam erupts from her chest flickering with flames as it goes flying towards the crystalline creature.
Quickly she takes off running towards it and gets ready to give it give it a quick physical attack. Sadly, this is just as the Youma hits the ground. The purple energy goes flying and effectively hits her. She is rapidly put into her own casing. "Ugh now I know what a hot dog feels like." Welp. She isn't going anywhere. That was reckless. "Don't tell that jerk Craft about this. He'd probably try to repeat it."
Sky Jack blinks, hearing an annoyed cry from somewhere as well as the explosion from the crystal monster's shattering arm. He looks around, searching for the source of the noise, continuing to travel around to one side of the beast.
This makes for a critical mistake. As the beast slams a fist into the ground, Jack looks back, just in time to see it lunging into the air towards him!
He lets out a yelp and 'jumps' in midair, pulling his flying snowboard up between himself and the arm. There is a loud, painful grinding noise of sharp stone against solid metal, but instead of being skewered Jack is launched back and upwards from the force of the swing, rolling over backwards in midair from the blow!
Jack's legs are numb for a moment from the force of the blow, so instead of kicking at the beast he sticks his tongue out at it, taunting. "Nyaah! You gotta go harder than that to beat ME! Come on, jump at me again you moron!"
He's hoping that the thing leaps at him again - he's fairly sure he can dodge it again, despite the ache in his legs working its way up towards his lower back as his magic works to counteract it.
Sailor Mercury yelps as that hand slams into the ground, and ducks back behind Jupiter, effectively shielding herself from the attack by Friend Fiat. "Crystal crystal crystal," she mumbles quietly. "Hot and Cold. Need both," she notes, then turns out and calls out towards Stingray, "HEY! PUT YOUR HOTTEST FIRE ON IT RIGHT AFTER MY ICE!" And then she begins spinning in a pirouette, drawing in the cold and water vapor in the air to herself. A brilliant rainbow of colour begins to swirl around Sailor Mercury as she calls out, "Mercury Blizzard Barrage!" A sudden snowstorm whirls into effect around Mercury, and she directs all of that frosted energy directly towards the cardian, encasing it in cold ice and snow.
"Looks like it, Joy!" Chloe says to Joy. But then Sky Jack seems to be Taunting it. "Aw man....how am I going to keep that thing off of him?" She says flying closer to Joy.
Recommendation: Heat Wave The Device says to Chloe as it reconfigures itself. Weapon Mode
Chloe looks as the device reconfigures itself into a Spear-like device. "Must be more intelligent than I thought. Let's see what it does.
HEAT WAVE!! And she swings the spear like a scythe, which makes a red crescent of energy fly out and aim itself at the Crystal Cardian.
Meanwhile, Chloe flys down to Joy to see if she can get her out of the Crystal casing. Chloe was in the air, so she wasn't in danger of that particular attack.
The crystal breaks away, the captive within mercifully left in one piece. Jupiter lunges to catch the unconscious man as he crumples and lowers him somewhat more gently to the ground - not the safest place, but she doesn't have much time for evac at this exact moment.
Her head snaps up in time to see the Cardian's hand come down and those blasts of energy flash outwards; at the very edge of her vision is the flash of blue that means Mercury is trusting her to be a shield, and that's a trust that Makoto will never, ever break.
"Oh no you don't--!"Without a single pause for thought she rears back and drives her fist down to meet the stream of purple energy that's racing towards her. The impact sounds like a thunderclap, scattering broken concrete and bits of crystal in all directions.
And in its wake a new outgrowth of crystal holds the Senshi of Thunder trapped, encasing much of her upper body and parts of her legs, holding her fist fused fast to the sidewalk.
At least Mercury is still free to act.
The youma slams down to the ground after failing to strike Jack, but glares up at him. Instead of coming in for another melee attack, the Cardian rears back and HURLS the bladed crystal 'arm' at him!
Then it has to dodge out of the way of the incoming crystal heart, but in dodging that particular burst of heat, it instead is unable to shift out of the way of the blizzard. The crystals, for just a moment, grow a bit dark and dim - as the creature tries to push forward, out of the snow storm.
That's when Stingray's heat wave slams into it, a wave of power following up on Mercury's tactical action. The burst of heat combined with the chill causes the creature to suddenly shatter again - this time more spectacularly, leaving only a core of crystal and a creepy, unblinking, unmoving head, fixed in a hostile glare.
And still, what's left of it continues to surge out, that core creating a thin, almost stickfigure like body - and while it's not much in size, the thin body is still sharp as a razor and now like a walking pack of needles, flinging itself at Stingray - coming upon her just as she shatters the crystal around Joy, freeing her from the entrapment!
When her combo-attack has the desired effect, Mercury lets out a soft cheer of approval, then glances over her shoulder. "Jupiter!" she calls, worried for her friend, then grimaces. "I'll get you free," she promises. But first there are a lot of people who need saving from this monster.
Turning, Mercury rushes forward, drawing the ice around her one more time. "Mercury Crystal Barrage!" she calls, and dozens of tiny ice shards streak forward from the Senshi towards the cardian, cutting, freezing, and slashing.
One of the Crystal Cardian's Arms manages to touch Chloe's jacket, and it manages to burn her, JUST before the barrier pops up and lops a limb off. "OW! CRAP that hurt!" Chloe yelps as she points her device at it. "Shooter mode."
Shooter Mode. it says as it configures itself.
"Joy.....Think we can combine our attack for this one? Mercury's attack might hold it in place long enough for us to nail it."
Wiating for Joy's response, Chloe still calls out an attack she knows will work......and makes the device charge.
FIRE BOLT!!
She barks out the attack for Joy to follow it with her own big attack. Finish it off before Sailor Jupiter's energy is drained......
Joy breaks free and is finally able to move again. When Chloe speaks to her she nods, "You fire it, I'll see how it likes a Spirit Blast." She looks at the creature. "Its time for you to go bye bye." She states as she takes a strong stance.
Crossing her arms in front of her, Joy rotates her right arm into a circle, almost looking like a clock really. She reaches out towards the youma and calls out, "STEAM SENTINEL, CLOCKWORK SPIRIT BLAST!" The sound of a ticking clock fills the air as a fiery blast of purifying energy draws from the girl and explodes from her right hand towards the Cardian. Its intense to say the very least.
Jack has both eyes on the crystalline youma at this point. When it rears back to throw something at him he lunges to one side - but he didn't expect it to throw its entire arm at him! The razor-sharp crystal shoots past his side as he dives away, leaving a blazing red line along his side visible from the ground. Jack lets out an unhappy yell, feeling it slash along him, hanging onto his board with one hand as he careens off, wobbling.
But he succeeded in his goal, distracting the crystalline beast from the assaulting girls. He sees the thin, horrific figure leap from the larger body and dive at Stingray, getting some altitude, another soccer ball appearing in front of him and being launched in the general direction of the crystal youma! "Don't let it grab you! Just focus fire and bring it down!"
On the bright side, Ariel shattered one of the crystals! This is a moment the brings a great look of relief to the girl's face once she's accomplished the task. She even flashes Sailor Jupiter something of a sheepish smile when the Senshi handles another crystal. A light nudge of her knee directs her glowing canine steed onwards. She was ABOUT to move on to another, when she cringes.
And then Lucky BUCKS. The hound-shaped star flings Ariel off his back. She lands on her bottom with a clank of armor and a bleat of surprise, but then she looks up. Before her eyes, Jupiter is encased in crystal, as is her noble canine steed, AND Joy- though the latter of the three is freed already. "A-ah?!" There's a brief moment of horror and confusion, but then the girl picks herself up on wobbly feet, dream hammer and chisel still in hand. While others rush to handle the Youma, she does not. That's not in her skill set. She can leave that to them, as much as the conflict makes her cringe.
Thusly de-mounted and left with little recourse, she focuses on what she can do best right now. The hammer and chisel are cast aside, dissolving into shimmering light as she concentrates again, horn glimmering with a shimmery light. Now... Now she has a sledgehammer. It's a small one, sure, but it is what it is.
"Um..."
But even as she drags it over towards the crystal frozen victims. She hoists the hammer and wobbles- and near drops it, before taking a swing at the cocoons when she can. But she has something on her mind, it seems. But after a few swings, she pauses, topaz eyes glancing up as she puffs a few heavy breaths. And then...
"Excuse me..."
That's directed upwards. Towards Ail. It must be a hilarious sight, how she leans on the hammer, out of breath and panting from her work. But the girl seems to have something on her mind.
"Why are you doing this?" It's a genuinely curious question, "I'm sorry it's interrupting meal time, but I don't think ambushing people like this is right. ... Is- do you have a reason for this?"
The crystal barrage erupts forwards, surging like a snowstorm. The bitter wind stops the stickfigure's hypodermic needle-like blade - since it's much faster now - right before it can connect. The needle is less than a second when the creature gets there. And once again, it's been chilled - and now Joy and Stingray are there, together - a firey blast right at point blank range.
The creature suddenly, though, surges forward with it's other arm - only to get knocked out of the attack by Sky Jack! And then the combined force of the Steam Steninel and the Mage's fire blasts immolates the creature, causing it to explode outwards once more - and for the last time.
All that remains is a single, rectangular playing card - with the creature's visage artistically depicted on it. The card drops from the air, and as it turns pitch black, it releases the fumes of foul dark power into the air.
"Hmph. I don't need to explain myself to you, little one. Or any of your friends. This is my planet now, I've claimed it, and everyone here belongs to me - along with your energy. This won't be the last you see of me, and I'll make sure to punish you for your insolence... you won't dare interefere with a Prince of the Galaxy for long!" he shouts, before he fades away.
Ami watches the creature disintegrate, then lets out a sigh of uncertainty. Turning, she rushes towars Sailor Jupiter, then hugs her friend. "Are you okay?" she worries. "Come on, let's get you out of here."
As the being explodes and turns into a playing card, Joy steps closer towards it. She kneels down and picks it up. Looking it over she just blinks a few times. "Huh."
Dabble quickly takes it and looks it over as well. "This is really weird. So someone used a card to create a monster? I guess its better then using a living being but yeesh that is creepy. Who in the world would create something like this? It has absolutely no character!"
Joy takes the card back and looks around to the others. "So umm, anyone have any idea about these? I mean I don't mind helping take em down but this is really funky stuff." If anyone wants the card she is content to pass it off.
Chloe looks up as the 'Prince' yells his final threat and disappears. "At least he didn't say 'Prince of the Universe', or Else I'd have to become the Red Queen on him." She says as she glances to Joy and walks over towards the Encased Sailor Jupiter and changes her spear to weapon mode to cut out Sailor Jupiter if necessary. "Hang onto that, Joy. We have someone that went through the same thing you did." And it seems Chloe's being VERY careful about getting her free.
Prince of the Galaxy? Regardless of how amazingly fabulous Ail is, Ariel wilts at his response. And then he's gone. The little unicorn's ears pin back as she lets out a small sigh of frustration.
"Why doesn't anyone ever want to talk about this kind of stuff." She mumbles dejectedly. Shoulders sag as she sulks for a moment or so. Before quietly offering a dream-woven hammer to Mercury.
Sky Jack watches the crystal being shatter and cheers, then looks over at the vanishing figure as he shouts, grimacing a bit. Some new two-bit punk of a shouter, no doubt. At the moment he wants to descend and check on the others.
One hand holding his slashed side, keeping green fabric that is slowly turning a dark red over it pressed tight to the wound, he lands on his board and looks over the four 'meals' Ail had trapped. "Huh. They look all right. Everybody else ok? Everyone in one piece besides me? Good, good." He grins and nods to Ariel, waving to Mercury and Jupiter, then eyes Joy and the Stingray both. "Huh. Not sure if I've met you two before. I'm Sky Jack - most of him, anyway." He grins despite the ache, a familiar, irrepressable, morale-boosting grin. "You two did really good fighting that thing!"
Mercury accepts the hammer with a thanks and slams it into the crystal surrounding Jupiter. When it cracks, she collects her unconscious friend in her arms and lets out a soft sigh, then offers it back. "Thanks," she says. "I need to get her out of here."
Joy gives a little smile to Sky Jack, "Thank you, Mister. It was an exciting." She smiles a little. No she doesn't know who Sky Jack is but that doesn't mean she is rude. "Pardon me a moment."
Joy quickly turns to look towards Mercury and Jupiter. "Hiya, would you all know anything about what we just fought. It dropped this." She pulls out the card that fell to the ground. "This is what it left behind. Its kinda weird given that someone would have actually had to make this."
Then she looks to Chloe and smiles to her, "Good going. Thanks for the save. I didn't expect to get turned into stuffed cupcake tonight."
Chloe had been helping with the crystal encasing Jupiter, until Mercury smashed it. "That was.....anti-climactic." She then smiles to Joy and turns towards her. "You help out friends....No matter what trouble they're in." She says holding the spear in such a way that no one will get hit by the handle. She looks towards Sky Jack and nods. "Thanks. I'm pretty new to this, to be honest. Sky jack. That's a name I didn't expect." She then nods to Joy. "I'll call you later, hmm? Find out what the heck's going on. And before you ask....I don't have a 'name' yet. I'm that new, Sky Jack."
She then shakes her head. "Talk to you guys later. Flight mode." She says before she gets sings on her boots, and the spear....before she floats up into the sky....and flies off....
"I have no idea," Mercury says to Joy with a shake of her head. "I'm sorry, I have to get her out of here," she notes, then holds out her hand. A glow of brilliant blue energy forms, as Mercury calls out, "." The glow expands outwards until it is a doorway to nowhere, and Mercury steps through with Jupiter in her arms. Then, the portal closes behind her.
Sky Jack watches Mercury rush to help her knocked out friend and moves in besides Joy, tapping her on the shoulder. "Hey. I don't think she's paying much attention - what is it?" He looks at the card in her hand, then holds his out. "I may know some people who can take a better look at it, if you want."
He rubs his side with his other hand, the bleeding having slowed considerably by this point, and grins at her. "Huh. Mister? I'm the same age you are! Just call me Jack, or Sky Jack." He looks around to see who else is with them, then grins, leaning in, speaking quietly to Joy. "I still think you did good this morning."
Steam Sentinel Joy blinks a few times. "Well. Umm... Wow. That was the first time I've encountered any Sailor Senshi." She shrugs. "Ah well I guess we just need to find someone who might know som..."
Thats about the moment that Sky Jack chimes in. "Oh, no problem." She hands it over to him. "Are you alright? I can patch you up a little if you need me to." Then he mentions that. She gives a little smile. "Gotcha, Jack."
Sky Jack nods and then shrugs. "Not if it'd put you out. I'll be ok in a little while. It just hurts some." He sighs, looking around. "What kinda craziness was this, do you wonder? Just some random jerk, or something more?"
Steam Sentinel Joy smiles and leads Jack in the direction of her family's apartment. "Come along. You won't put me out." She smiles a little and looks around herself. "Well, Ig I had to judge based on what we seen, This isn't random. That youma was designed. The image was designed on this card. That means this two things. First, It was a pointed attack. Second, There will be more. If you had a catalyst for a monster that you could keep in your pocket with no one ever knowing, would you settle for just one?" She asks curiously.
