It was a nice, cold, chilly day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping. Sakura was holding on for dear life as the Jump card was held in her hands, hauling her across the city, hundreds of feet above the buildings as she screamed and stried to keep a hold of her wand. Then she landed.
Oh gosh was it finally ov-- NOPE! Jump started jumping again. "STOOOOOOP!" shescreamed. She was wearing a weird, blue, dragon warrior costume today!
And then when she was over the park... BAM! Jump kicked her RIGHT in the face. Sending her flying towards the ground and knocking her wand out of her hand.
Wait. Her wand out of her-- She screamed, trying desperately to grab it as, once again, she found herself hurtling towards the ground! Right at a certain moon girl...
Usagi is, for some reason, deciding a walk through the park is a marvelous idea.
Last time she was here she got caught in a thunderstorm. And, well, every other time has just been interesting.
Suddenly, she looks up, blinking as a tiny shape screams toward her.
Something blue.
It takes...a little longer than it normally would have for her to react beyond that. But, well, it's been a long week.
And then she's moving! "Oh dear!"
There's a blur as she runs off that way. Then from that way, Sailor Moon suddenly appears! What a lucky coincidence!
Shoop! No time for speeches!
It's fun being the dashing jumping hero racing to catch the heroine from ultimate splatting demise! No wonder Tuxedo Kamen did this!
One minute, Sakura is falling, the next, she's falling with style as Sailor Moon catches her and finishes her jump!
Sakura Kinomoto looked down, the world was coming. She was going to die. She was going to die. She was going to--
Arms? She blinked and, slowly, opened her eyes. Then looked around, then her eyes went wide. "S-sailor... sailor moon?" she asked softly, staring at the woman. Was it possible? Was it the real sailor moon? She stared for a moment, then looked down. Nope, looooong jump. That was definitely sailor moon. She stared up into the other, older woman's eyes. Her cheeks turned red as she felt that nice, soft, warm feeling inside that she got around haruna and haruka and spark and all the other magical girls.
The jump card landed a bit away, then jumped off again and she shrieked. "Wait, no, stop!" she said, but ummm... being carried made it hard to move. also, still staring at the girl.
Sailor Moon looked down at the girl she'd just caught. "Yes?"
But wait, why is the girl wanting her to stop?
Fortunately, there are many landing places near by!
Unfortunately, its a sudden request and she's not the most graceful person at the best of times.
"OOF!" She lands a bit hard, careful that the impact doesn't reach the girl. "What's wrong? Did I do it wrong? I've only really seen others do it a lot. Tuxedo Kamen's very good at it!" Hearts in her eyes at that!
Sakura Kinomoto blinked and shook her head. "W-what? No, ummm, I-I didn't mean, I didn't mean you. You could keep going." Something about the girl was very... oddly... familiar. Her cheeks flared red. Why was she getting a YUKITO vibe suddenly? She looked around and then gulped.
She then pointed to the creature jumping away. "I-I meant that. It's the jump card! I, errr, I ummm... I have to catch it... s-sorry. I uhh... y-you can put me down... if you want. T-thank you for... for saving me..."
Sailor Moon beams! "Oh, good! I'm usually the rescued, not the other way around!"
Poor girl must have been terrified from her fall, with her cheeks all red like that!
She furrows her eyebrows as she follows the pointed fingers. She gulps! "Oh dear!" Still holding the girl, she hops after it. "It doesn't look like a card! Oh, you're welcome!"
Sakura Kinomoto eeped, her cheeks going redder when she realized she was STILL being carried around. "It... it will when I catch it," she squeaked. Her heart hammered more and more as she settled in for the ride.
Fortunately, her wand landed nearby and she could quickly direct to it before she took the moon train after the jump card! It was pretty cocky after that. Until, well, it noticed it was being followed. It turned and glowed at them, before hopping right at sailor moon and trying to headbutt her!
Wand, check! Weird card hopping thing, soon check!
For awhile it feels like she's catching up all nicely, until suddenly!
Shrieking, Sailor Moon tries to stop or turn or dodge, but she's kind of midleap. Eyes wide, she does a rather impressive immitation of a Looney Toon character trying to skid to a halt in midair.
It fails.
Shrieking again, she decides to just bring her leg out in an improvised move. One very much stolen.
"Sailor Moon Kick!"
Jump walked right into it and slammed into the foot, head first, flying up and then bouncing on the card a few times. Sakura blinked. "E-err please put me down!" she said, her cheeks burning. Once she was down, she drew her cards.
"Wood! Bind it up!" she ordered. The jump card jumped at them! Wood tried to bind it, instead just made a big cage, trapping all three of them together inside it. She shrieked and jumped to the side, knocking jump back with her wand. It skidded on the ground, then jumped up, off the roof of plants and tried to... head butt sailor moon! On the head!
Sailor Moon just stared at the thing! Oh dear! What even what the stuff!
With another shriek, she flung her tiara at jump and ran away from the jump card, even if it meant just running in circles.
And yes, she is shrieking the entire time.
Sakura, meet Sailor Moon! She's saved the planet once! Honest!
Sakura Kinomoto blinked a few times. Her mind tried to process this. She came up with one! Wow, Sailor Moon was so impressive, doing so much cardio! She was so fast! And also, keeping it distracted! She got into the stance spark had shown her and... she brought the wand down on Jump's face when it chased sailor moon! It bounced twice, then landed on the ground with swirls for eyes.
She blinked a few times. Really? Yes! "Return to your true form! Clow card!" she yelled. And then... the card formed into a, well, card. And then the woods did as well, the two drifting to her hand.
She then turned to Sailor moon and... "W-wow. You're so amazing!" she said, a big grin on her lips. "I-I can't believe I was saved by the real sailor moon!"
"And I got it all on camera!" Tomoyo said as she ran up, camera in hand. "I almost lost you there, Sakura-chan."
Sakura's cheeks turned so red.
Sailor Moon slows to a stop when she realizes that the cage is gone and that she's no longer being chased. She staggers a bit, panting, and offers Sakura a faint grin.
She leans against her knees, panting still, holding up a finger...
And instantly stands up straight as though she weren't just gasping for oxygen like a rescued drowning victim. "Thanks!" And then she tilts her head. "Why wouldn't I save you?"
Oblivious Moon is Oblivious!
Then they have company! "Ooooooo? You didn't get up my skirt, did you?"
Sakura Kinomoto blinked a few times, her cheeks going red. Then even redder. She shook her head. "I-I mean, o-of course you did, I mean, just because, err, I-I didn't expect you, since I was--" And then her cheeks went even redder. "W-w-w-what? NO! Tomoyo-chan would NEVER do that!"
The girl nodded. "Of course. Besides, my main focus is on Sakura-chan and I would never make an outfit for her that could put her in such a compromising position."
Sakura blushed and stared at her. Tomoyo handed her the pen and she quickly signed the card. "I... I ummm... t-thank you. I uhhh... You're... dating magic caped magician man, right? He, uhhh, saved me recently t-too..." she said softly.
More confusion! Why do people seem surprised to see her, then? Maybe she needs to appear more often! "I haven't been doing too much lately...I need to get out more!"
And then a sigh of relief! "Well, I mean, I wouldn't think, on purpose, you know, but if there were any accidental ones, I'd appreciate if you only showed me!"
And it's her turn to blush! But also giggle and hug herself and rock back and forth, very much still a girl in love! "Yep! He's the love of my life and the best guy ever to be ever!" She gasps! "He did? Oh, good, he needs to get out more! But wait! Why? Are you okay?"
Sakura Kinomoto blinked and then. "Eh... heh heh... errr... some of the cards are a little... dangerous. Though the first time was because I met another magical girl and she tried to kill me and... slammed me into a building."
She rocked back and forth a little as well, as Tomoyo looked between and... "Oh dear. She gets the same look on her face you do when someone mentions yukito."
"Yukito...." hearts for eyes. Then eeped. "T-t-t-tomoyo-chan! d-don't say that in front of Sailor Moon!" she whined, covering her face with her hands.
"Ohhhh. That doesn't sound fun." Worry and concern in her eyes! "Are you okay now? You look good for someone who got slammed in a wall!"
Sailor Moon sticks her tongue out at Tomoya. "You would to if you were dating him! He's the bestest of the greatest people ever so there!"
Then she perks up and looks at Sakura. "Oh hooooh? Huehuehue!"
Sakura Kinomoto nodded. "Oh, it was horrible. Why are some of the magical girls so mean? First there was that one, then mara. I mean, some of the cards keep trying to drown me or freeze me or toss me off cliffs, why do the girls have to do it too?"
Tomoyo cocked an eye. "I'm sure I could," she said. "He's a bit... old for me, though." On account of them both being ten year old girls.
Sakura blushed. "T-there's nothing wrong with an age gap! I-I mean, Y-y-yukito-san is... is a bit older than me a-and that's not wrong a-a-and stop looking at me like that!" she squeaked, her cheeks getting redder as tomoyo moved in with her camera.
"Oh sakura-chan, you're so cute when you're in love~"
Sailor Moon shrugs and sighs all woeful! "I don't know!" She doesn't think she's met this Mara person! "You'd think with all of us having the whole magic thing in common, we'd get along!" She sighs! Then pauses. "Why do your cards try to hurt you?" This doesn't sound nice!
A raspberry for Tomoyo! "Well, well, well, if he were eight years younger he wouldn't be but he's not so I get to smooch him instead"
Sound logic!
Her eyebrows raise. "OooooOOooooh? How old is Yukito-san?"
Sakura Kinomoto looked down at them. "I think they're testing me. They want to make sure I'm... able to handle them. That I'm worthy. Once I catch them, though, they seem... happy. Like they like me. So I think they mean well..." She then turned even redder as tomoyo chuckled.
"Yukito-kun is... s-seventeen," she squeaked. "H-he's my big brother's b-best friend and just the nicest guy in the whole world and he always has candy for me and he's so kind and nice and amazing!" she cupped her cheeks and swayed happily from side to side.
"Ohhh! Well, at least its not a constant thing, right?"
And suddenly, she felt like a sheet of paper! All white and two dimensional. But then again, what's an extra three years?
And then she nods, having been here before! She sighs dreamily as well. "When I first met him, he teased me about my bad grades and called me Odango Atama and was a jerkity jerk faced-jerk."
Sakura Kinomoto nodded. "Oh, no! they're actually really nice once you get to know them. So, so nice..." She hugged them to her chest.
"W-what? That's horrible! Yukito-san would never, ever do something so mean! He's the nicest guy in the whole wide world and he treats me so nicely and he reminds me of my daddy and he's so wonderful~" hearts over her head, then frowned. "It's my big brother who's the big meany jerk face! Hmph!"
"Oh, good!" She's happy the cards are nice!
She giggles. "Well, I did hit him in the face with the paper. So." She shrugs. Then she swoons again. "But after a bit, he'd look at me like I was the most important girl in the world! He doesn't remind me of Papa, though. And my little brother's a jerk, too. He calls me stupid."
Sakura Kinomoto nodded, blushing. "One day I think I'll even be strong enough to summon them out of the cards. all the way."
"H-he looks at you... like that?" She sqweed a little, little hearts for eyes. And then that. "W-what? Oh! Ugh! Brothers are just so mean! Mine always calls me a monster! You're not stupid at all, you seem really, really smart to me!"
"You can do it, I know you can!" She claps her hands!
"And yes! Sometimes when I'm feeling really really bad, all he has to do is look at me and I feel better." A happy sigh!
And then she blushes. "W-what? Nah. I'm terrible in school! I am passing, though!"
Sakura Kinomoto stared up at her. She was so amazing. As good as, no, even BETTER than she'd imagined. She wiggled a little.
"Oh my gosh, Yukito-san is the same way! sometimes I'm sad or upset and he'll just smile at me or ask how I'm dong and eveerything is better..."
She blinked and then. "W-w-well school smarts a-aren't the only thing that matters! T-there are a lot of other smarts, l-like street smarts, that are just as important!"
Oblivious Sailor Moon is oblivious! "Are you okay?"
"Oh, yes!" Heart eyes! "Don't rush it, though! Things happen when they happen, and when they do and it's good, it's better than all the plans ever!" She is, of course, talking about professing feelings. You pervert.
Sailor Moon sighs and her shoulders droop, just a little. "I'm good at reading people, usually. But I'm not near as good as Kyou-kun at street smarts."
Sakura Kinomoto nodded, blushing. "O-of course! I mean, w-we haven't even gone on a date or anything at all yet, I-I always share my sweets when I cook them, though. A-and... and he's just the nicest, best guy in the whole wide world. She gasped. "W-when it's good? Do... do you think when i confess, h-he'll confess right back?"
She blinked and then took her hand. "R-reading people is a really ,really hard thing and it just means you have more people smarts! Y-you know how to tell when people are sad or upset, right? A-and it means you're able to make everyone around you feel good, right?"
Sailor Moon flaps her hands. "I don't know! Maybe! But I know the age thing may have him concerned if he does! So waiting for that reason's good, too!"
She hums. "I think part of the reason it took him so long to say anything to me was partly because of the age gap." And the whole princess thing. And secret identity things.
She nods! "Oh yes! Usually! But sometimes its hard to tell if I'm in a bad mood." Hmmm.
She hooks her arm through Sakura's. "I am getting pretty good at handling introverts, though! For instance, I know that when they're all peopled out, the best thing for them is to give them time alone!"
Sakura Kinomoto nodded. "R-right! I mean, but... but once I'm eighteen, he'd only be twenty-five, a-and that's not bad at all! I mean, we're both young. He's ust not... as young!"
She nodded. "Oh, I know. I haven't met many introverts."
"That's because you're an extrovert, Sakura-chan," Tomoyo offered. "And you always try so hard to involve everyone~"
Sakura blushed. "I-I'm so happy I met you, Sailor moon. I ummm... I'd heard about you, too.... you're so cool..."
She nods! "Right! Exactly!" She sighs!
"Neither have I until him! I think my oldest bestie may be a bit of one, but I think she'd grown immune to me over the years! But the hardest thing to keep in mind is if an introvert friend wants alone time, it's not you, it's the recharging time they need!"
It's Sailor Moon's turn to blush! "W-what? M-me?"
Sakura Kinomoto nodded, grinning up at sailor moon. She was so wise, she understood so well. "you're so smart and good at relationship advice..."
"Your boyfriend needs time to recharge from you? I couldnt imagine anyone not wanting to spend all their time with someone as cool and awesome as you..." She wiggled a little bit, her cheeks red. "you're like... a super cool big sister... like... like Haruna-sempai and Hannah-sempai and Spark-sensai and Haruka-sempai..."
More and more blushing! "People are interesting! Though sometimes, I am so bad at it!"
The waves her hand! "Oh no no, not just from me! And the times he needs alone alone aren't often! A lot of times he's okay being alone when I'm in the same room! I just nap on him or something!"
She perks up! "I know those people! They're good people!"
Sakura Kinomoto nodded, a big grin on her face. "I'll make sure to come to you for all my relationship advice, then!" This could only end well.
"W-wow, really? That's soooooo romantic!" she sqwees, cupping her cheeks and blushing.
And then that. "Oh, I know! They've all helped me so, so much and I've made such good friends with them and they're teaching me and training me and making me really, really strong!"
She giggles! "Well, I only have experience to work with! So not that much!"
Though having been with the same guy in two lifetimes that spans the full length of known time counts for something, right?
More blushing! "He is my favorite napping spot! Sometimes when he studies, I get to sit on the chair behind him and use his shoulder as a pillow!"
She claps! "Hannah-chan taught me some kickboxing!"
Sakura Kinomoto blushed. "W-well, I don't have any, yet..."
"Oh my gosh, that's so cute! You get to nestle on him? Awwwww... Wait, she did? Maybe she can teach me some, too! I bet--" Then her phone rang. She eeped, looking down at it. Answered and... "I ummm, I need to go. I-I know you're super awesome and can't give me your number since, ummm, magical and all but... ummmm..." she gave her number. "I-if you ever need any help, okay? My magic is getting a lot stronger so maybe I can!"
Here she nearly swoons! "It's the best way to nap ever!"
She takes the number and hands over hers, as well! "I have a seperate phone for...well, this! So! Same goes for you! And it was awesome meeting you!"
