Naru gets, and sends, a lot of text messages. Even for a teen girl, she and her phone are nigh on inseperable and pretty much the only way she doesn't lose her phone to teacher rage during class is because she is really quick at replying, and keeps her phone on silent. It's a mercy for everyone.
Still, it's after class and Naru has her nose buried in her phone as they leave, scrolling through messages. One can bet that the ones that make her grin quite like /that/ are probably from Kyouko.
Naru's steps slow a little and she frowns at her phone a moment. "Ami.. do you know Sakura?"
Ami has her nose in a book. This isn't really a surprising turn for her; Ami's nose is almost always in a book, at least when she isn't stuffing her face with food or swimming. At this point, interrupting Ami is pretty much the only way to get her attention, and luckily the bluenette never makes an issue of it--almost as if she's expecting her friends to do that. So when Naru says her name, Ami doesn't hesitate to look up with a quiet-voiced, "Hmm?"
Then the question, and she furrows her brow in thought. "There's Ariwara Sakura a year below us, and last year Hiraga Sakura was a year above us. I think there are probably a few other Sakuras I don't know. Which Sakura do you mean?"
"Kinomoto." Naru clarifies and then gestures a touch. "Grade four here. I think, she's younger than Ariel." She looks back at her phone again and then taps to bring up the message again. "I'm going to take that as a no. She sent out a somewhat frantic mass text, but I'm going ot guess you didn't get it."
Naru tips her phone to show Ami the message. "At least this frantic text message has words. They're improving. Not entirely /helpful/ yet though."
Ami reads over the text carefully, then scowls in irritation. "I swear, if this is Takashi again," she says, pulling her phone out immediately. Apparently something in Sakura's text made sense to Ami.
TEXT to Takashi: Did you just attack a little girl and steal her cards?
"Cloning other people is starting to become a bad habit of his," Ami notes to Naru, as she waits for a response.
"Hunh." Naru considers that and then nods. "Well, I knew he'd done that to Jupiter, right?" She ventures and then mmmms. "My experience with her cards is that they could, legit, but enough of a pain in the butt that I wouldnt have immediaely assumed Takashi. Like 'think fondly of a paper shredder' sort of pain in my butt." Naru points out and then looks at the text message again.
"It's not the cards," Ami notes to Naru with a sigh. "It's the cloning. He's done this to more than just Mako-chan." Just then, her phone buzzes.
TEXT from Takashi: I absolutely did not attack her. And they're not her cards. And we're going to have to discuss this, I suppose. The sooner the better so you don't get the wrong idea.
Ami's face screws up in a brief bout of rage, and the book in her hand gets dropped to the ground. "I am going to kill him," she hisses, as her fingers start flying over the keypad.
TEXT to Takashi: ... seriously, Takashi. You cloned someone else? I thought you learned your lesson with Makoto and Reiko! Fine, I'm swinging by your house after school. You can explain it to me there.
The phone buzzes again, twice, within seconds.
TEXT from Takashi: I did not clone anyone. Not since before we left for Peru, and never Sakura Kinamoto.
TEXT from Takashi: Also I resent the word clone!
Ami legitimately growls, like a dog, low and deep in her throat. Rather than responding, she turns her phone around and offers it to Naru so she can read the conversation. "Going to kill him," she reiterates.
Naru nods at the explination of more cloning than just Mako and then she looks ever so faintly bemused as Ami hisses and drops her book.
Naru bends to collect Ami's book, letting her vent on what she presumes is Takashi in peace for a moment. Or two. She offers the book over as the phone is turned towards her.
A few glances at the texts there. "You and Taka play the semantics game a lot, don't you?" Naru comments as she reads. "Heading over to Takashi's then?"
Ami blinks at the book. How did Naru get her book? She accepts it back, then frowns and glances at her phone once more. "He plays the semantics game," she starts to protest, then pauses to consider her words carefully for a moment. "Ah, I guess we both do," she allows. "Anyways, I guess I'm missing swim practice. I'm benched this season anyways, because of Peru, so I guess it doesn't matter. Tell Usagi-chan I'll see her tomorrow?"
"Good luck." Naru tells Ami as she takes the book and frowns at her phone. "I will tell Usagi that you'll see her tomorrow. And if you need anything, just text. I'm around. I have some painting to do, but it's inturruptable. Possibly try not to kill Taka /much/, just a little."
