In the Hikawa Shrine, in Rei's private meditation chamber, the raven-haired miko is here in her henshin, hoping that her battle uniform will do in place of her miko outfit. She kneels before a lit firepit, the glow of the flames playing off of her features as her hands make various gestures. Resting against the border of the fire pit are newspaper clippings of people in comas, a few raven feathers, and a clipping from an article on the Corvus-related tablet that was recently stolen.
Normally, she can do this by herself without much fear. She can look into the spiritual, but the spiritual typically does not look back. Looking into the future, past, or present is something she can generally do with impunity, though it often has mixed results.
Today is different. Today is very different. That's why Rei Hino has invited several of her close friends, the Sailor Senshi, to come provide backup. She's also waited for a day when Grandpa was off on other business, ensuring that he wouldn't come in at a very bad time.
She has planned this out, yet as much as she's planned she doesn't really know what to expect.
Mars focuses on the fire, on the Raven, on Corvus, pushing out all other thoughts as she chants over the fire. For the moment, things like school, the family shrine, Nephrite/Mamoru, and the mysterious wave of other Magical Girls don't exist. It's just her and the flames.
In the state she's in, if someone were to say anything, she likely wouldn't respond. Really, as focused as she is, she might not even hear them.
Usagi Tsukino is not at the Shrine today. No, instead, it's the Pretty Soldier of Love and Justice, Sailor Moon! The poor girl is visibly worried after hearing of Rei's divination troubles, and even moreso when there's people quite literally losing their souls. She's nervous, scared, and even horrified by what's been going on.
But she is not about to let her friends, even one who sometimes she butts heads with, do this kind of thing alone. The Senshi even has a charm from this very Shrine, just for good luck.
Clasping her hands together despite Sailor Mars' concentration, she whispers.
"I believe in you, Rei-chan!" Comes Usagi whole-heartedly.
Sailor Mercury was here too, standing off to the side and has her visor on, taking readings of the flames, and Mars, to make sure nothing goes wrong. If nothing else, Mercury is very very diligent and focused in her readings. She can't help but smile at Sailor Moon as she gives words of encouragement to Mars. "You're not the only one, Sailor Moon." She whispers to their leader. "Just be ready in case something happens...." She says tapping her tablet again.
Minako Aino/Sailor V is not prompt to show up but makes up for it by being (over)dressed for the part - in full miko regalia with all the extra articles of faith and ceremony that any proper miko would have access to. Nobody, however, would present themselves with -all- of them at one time as this masked sailor senshi is doing now.
She wanders into the room with all the decorum and seriousness of a religious advocate who devotes their life to the shrine and might even be thought of as just another shrine maiden, if not for the fact that there is only ONE shrine maiden and this particular miko wears an extravagant Sailor V mask.
Sailor Jupiter stands by - literally stands, on her feet with her back lightly against the wall of the meditation chamber, trying not to move or, you know, breathe too obtrusively. Inwardly, she feels coiled tight and tense, all the more so for not knowing what to expect or if whatever might happen here today will even be anything she can do anything about.
This is Mars's show, Mars and Mercury with the scanning capabilities of her visor and her own considerable analytical prowess. All Mako can do is watch, have faith in her teammates, and wait for something to happen.
She honestly wasn't expecting the 'something' to be someone trying to come in from outside - hadn't Rei arranged things to avoid possible interruptions? - but when the oddly-attired "shrine maiden" starts to enter the room, Sailor Jupiter slips quietly away from her post to block her path.
"Sorry," she says, voice pitched low and green eyes very serious. "Now's not a good time to interrupt. Could you come back?"
For a long while, nothing happens, as Rei concentrates--- the same visions come to her. The city, grey, lifeless sky and buildings and raining black feathers from the sky. That awful feeling of loneliness.
Then it hits like a brick. BANG. CRASH. RATTLE. Like something like an animal trying to escape a cage. First it's only in Rei's visions. But then the whole chamber shakes- and rattles for a moment. Rei's gotten this far before, but had to stop. Who knew what would come of this, afterall?
Past that point now, the room thumps again with a power from the fire pit, as the flame turns a dark purple--- it's usual orange and white being overtaken, claws grow from the pit, part of the fire itself. The claws look similar to those of a bird, massive, large and raptor like, they hang in the air for a bit as a voice rings out. One familiar, full of malice....
"Sailor Mars, What is your heart's desire?" It creeps out. "What is it you require?"
"Leave these fools, I can make your wish come true....." it's tone is alluring perhaps even enticing, if only for a second, Sailor Mars has the mental fortitude to resist the urge.
"Now is the perfect time to interrupt," Sailor V murmurs, lowering her voice to an appropriate volume. "If I came earlier, the room would be empty. If I wait until later, the devil-nation will be all done."
"But right now? Just as it's getting started? With dramatic purpley flames shootin' up light a firework arsonist? It's the PERFECT time to interrupt," she explains, very matter-of-factly. "Anyways, I could come back, but I'm here now!" she explains, trying to hand her candle over to Jupiter in the most natural and casual fashion she can.
After a suitably dramatic/annoying pause, she touches her mask and winks. "I'm not a shrine Mi(na)ko," she murmurs, mumbling the 'na' sound of her name so low so that she is the only one who can hear. "I'm... Sailor V!"
Mars visibily cringes a moment before the chamber shakes, hit hard by the psychic force. Her head feels like it's about to split open, such is the pain she feels. She sits there, visibly shaking.
She stops her chanting, eyes opening, looking up at the dark image before her. It takes her a second to realize that it's not just in her visions, but in the world around her. So, she was right to be concerned after all.
The temptation comes, a strange darkness. Fools? Leave them? Heart's desire? What is her heart's desire?
Mars thinks about it for a moment, and realizes that her hearts desire is to find and protect the Moon Princess. Leaving the senshi would be the opposite of that. The temptation fades, the power of friendship winning out.
A moment later, and her composure returns. Her hair is messy from the violent shaking, and she rests her hands on her lap. "Your offers fall on deaf ears, Corvus. All we want is information."
"Is that what you offered that little girl? Whatever her heart's desire is? Is that why she's following you?"
Mars is worried, for the moment, about what could happen to the shrine... but with the four... wait no five... senshi here, they should at least be able to put up a fight.
Wait wait, why are there five senshi? Who is that person dressed like a miko? Mars is just staring at the disguised Sailor V, flabbergasted for a moment... This is Sailor V?
Her attention snaps straight back to the purple flames. She doesn't have time for distractions.
"Whoa." And when Sailor Mercury says 'whoa', it's huge. Boy is it huge.
Mercury actually puts down her computer and goes to Mars' side. "Mars, listen to me. We're all here with you. We will not abandon you." She then hears the voice and her mind strains to keep the subcumbing to the psychic force, and while she COULD provide more input, she lets Mars handle this. This is her domain, but Mercury supports her......and lets Mars know it.
Suddenly, there's...another Miko? Usagi looks slightly torn here. On the one hand, isn't Rei the only one here? On the other, can you really bar a Miko from a shrine? The thought of being cursed for 10,000 years with running makeup and bad tests runs through Sailor Moon's head, and she slowly starts to tremble!
She'll catch holy heck!
But then she notices the mask!
"S...Sailor V!?" She exclaims, appearing behind Juipter.
"Thank you for...." Just before she blurts out her identity, there's a voice, and the image of a massive bird. Malice drips from the bird's words, and Sailor Moon lets out a scream. Not a wail, not a crybaby moment, but a scream of terror. It all hits her fragile heart...and then she looks to Sailor Mars. No. She...has to be strong. That scream is bit off, her hands squeezing together. Courage gathers in her heart, having nothing to do with her henshin.
This is Usagi pushing herself with everything she has for Rei Hino.
There's a hand on Sailor Mars' shoulder. Usagi trembles, scared, but the love of her friends gives her the ability to stand right here beside her fellow senshi.
"...Sailor Mars is right! Did you mislead that girl!?" Her trembling stops. This creature did something /terrible/. Victimized someone, and led them to do evil.
It hurts to think about, and she won't stand for it.
"...We'll defeat you and help that girl." She says, lowly, emphatically. Turning to Mercury, Jupiter, Mars...and even Sailor V.
All warriors of justice. She doesn't have words, but her look is beseeching. She believes in all of them.
V's very casual and natural attempt to pass off her candle encounters a not very casual or natural hitch: Jupiter doesn't make any move to take it from her. For a few taut seconds it doesn't look as though she's going to move at all. At the nonchalance of the other girl's self-introduction, Sailor Jupiter's eyes narrow in confusion and doubt and she stays right where she is, not quite sure what to believe or whether it's worth taking the chance that pressing the issue further might distract Rei at a crucial moment.
Sailor Moon's surprised exclamation behind her makes some of the decision for her - where Usagi goes, Makoto is willing to follow - and Corvus's influence making itself so dramatically known does the rest. Now's not the time. Without a second thought, Sailor Jupiter wheels around to focus her attention where it needs to be, backing up her friend.
"That's right," she answers Sailor Moon when that beseeching look turns her way. The words aren't loud, but her voice is confident and clear. "All of us, together."
For a moment there is silence.
"You want knowledge? I won't even acknowledge! I will find out what's in your heart----I will tear it quite apart! The claws move at Sailor Mar's chest, moving fast--- too fast to possibly stop by Mars OR any onlooker. Something terrible seems to be about to happen, but suddenly there's /another/ presence in the room. It makes itself known by a shining, orange light shooting from the flame.
It takes the form of a golden bearclaw, and it literarily pulls Corvus's claw away from Mars and it fights it back into the fire. The fire begins to shift into a golden glow at the edges. Mars can feel some sort of /fight/ going on in the fire-- and Mercury can read the fight. It's unpleasant as the glowing and raging causes the room to Illuminate between purple, and a gold.
"Stupid Bear--- but don't you fear... you shall see--- I will be free.. Then the deep purple of the flames disappear- leaving only the newly colored gold flame in it's wake. It glows soft, true---- the room feels less oppressive-- even more so than it usually does. It's a very warm, very delightful feeling.
Then comes a voice. It's feminine. From the fire, as it retains it's usual fire shape.
"...I'm sorry for this trouble. Mortals found our prisons.... moved them away from their altars. The bondage keeping us contained was weakened by this move. We've been content to stay put- it is not our desire to interact with mortals as we did long ago. Corvus could not be convinced- he wants to be free.... and we lacked the bond with a priestess as before, so long ago, to force him as we did before."
It pauses for a moment.
"You seek insight. But Corvus will tell you naught, he'll only give you false lies and promises he won't keep. I will answer. You may call me Ursa."
Mars recoils as the claw comes at her, leaning back to try to avoid it, and then holding up her arm to try and block the blow when she realizes she can't move fast enough. Yet, in a moment, the attack is interrupted.
Bear fights Raven, and Mars can feel it through the flames, she tries to keep track of the fighting, but it seems... out of her realm, like there isn't much she can do to help. Fortunately, the friendlier spirit seems to win out.
Mars listens as the golden flame introduces herself. "Ursa?" asks Rei Hino. She's heard that word before... something related to bears? That would make sense, all things considered.
"My name is Sailor Mars. My friends are Sailor Mercury, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Moon, and Sailor ... V?" She still is a little confused by V being here, but the presence of the legendary V is more than welcome.
"So the... mortals, as you say, moved the prisons. By that, do you mean the stone tablets? I had a strong feeling that Corvus was trapped and wanted to get out."
Ursa mentions a priestess. Mars immediately considers her own vocation, but... considering the nature of these spirits there might be entirely different qualifications. "A bond with a priestess? Would a priestess be able to restore him to his prison? As long as he's free, he hurts our kind. We need a way to stop him, and to help those who have already been hurt by him."
Standing by as Mars speaks to Ursa, Mercury has picked up her computer again and is rapidly typing information into her computer. She says nothing, for the fear that she might miss vital information given by Ursa.
The other Senshi are with her, and Usagi gives an emphatic nod.
But then there's a raven claw seeking out her dear friend, and her body simply can't move fast enough...even with magic, she's too slow, too weak. There's a strangled cry, but then the Bear emerges. Sailor Moon pauses mid-step, right beside Rei, heart torn between fury at Corvus, and relief at the sudden appearance of the bear-pawed saviour.
Usagi Tsukino, the girl, freezes in utter confusion. Her heart, mind, and body are simply too split until the bear speaks. She lets out a breath, confident in her fellow senshi despite her own moment of weakness. Even Sailor V! the legendary senshi being here only brings her confidence up so that she can speak alongside the others.
"Ursa-san...what can we do!?" Sailor Moon pauses. Prison. Corvus is seeking freedom?
Heart of all hearts, despite all the suffering Corvus has caused, Usagi's golden heart shines through.
"If...if we could do something for Corvus...could all of those souls and the girl he's using be freed?" Offers Usagi suddenly.
"Why does Ursa-san and Corvus need to be trapped?" She asks suddenly.
"That's not fair, for either of you!" Usagi offers, in a moment of emotional insight. What would someone imprisoned for ages enough to be a legend do to find freedom? And was there another way to help everyone?
Sailor Jupiter's eyes widen in alarm as the dark claw strikes out at Mars, and she too begins to lunge into motion, too little too late--
--only to stop short as another power intervenes.
For the moment, there's little that she can do but stand back and listen closely, uncertainty written all over her expression. At least now it seems they have a source of information, but Mako can't say she's even sure what questions they should be asking.
Fortunately for all of them, Sailor Mars and Sailor Moon have the sense of direction that, right now, Makoto lacks.
The flame flickers as the being inside ponders for a moment, and listens.
"It is a pleasure to meet you." the voice says.
"Yes. We were exiled to stone tablets. The rest of us did so willingly. Our times were over. But we allowed pacts to be made with Priestesses to be able to harness our abilities, in times of need and crisis. Corvus would not go. He saw mortals as inferior, easily tricked. Using our power, they forced him into the final tablet with the help of his would be priestess. And that was that."
"Not just any priestess. Not just any shaman, or believer of faith. Only Corvus's own priestess can seal the tablet. Only his priestess can release him. He tricked a girl into the making the pact- to become that priestess, with promises of a wish.- that she'll wish her sister back. Now he uses her to collect energy so he can break the last chains, while other mortals and beings seek to use her to their own ends."
The being pauses.
"She'll never break that bond. She'll always be the Priestess of Feathers and Deception. She's just as much a part of Corvus now, as Corvus is a part of her. She has to be made to understand what she's doing.
The light seems to dim as Usagi goes off on a tangent about imprisonment.... a bit of sadness? just a little. But the fire burns brighter.
"It was our time to leave this existence, Sailor Moon. Mortals were relying on us... using us as a crutch. Corvus wanted to rule the mortal world. He acted only out of selfishness. He hated humans--- it's why he always names his Priestess 'Scorn'.... a reminder of his hate."
The fire flickers.
Mars stares up at Usagi in disbelief. Free Corvus? Would that even be a good idea? Sure, she wanted to help the girl under Corvus's thrall, but Corvus himself-- no, no Usagi has a point. Anyone would be driven to desperation by spending too long imprisoned. It's only natural...
Yet, she also knows that Corvus is a trickster god. Freeing him might not be a good idea.
Usagi, for the moment, is the leader of the senshi. Mars will follow her direction, but she can't be sure that it's a good idea. Instead of speaking her concerns, she waits for Ursa's answer.
"In times of need or crisis," says Sailor Mars, repeating the words as she thinks about them. "In short, if someone wanted to use your powers, they would have to make a pact with you, and not just anyone could do it."
Looks like her hunch about 'different qualifications' was pretty on.
"So what you're telling us is... Scorn..." Mars takes a moment to memorize that name, "... has to be the one to push Corvus into his prison, and no matter what she will always be bound to him."
Will Sailor Moon want to change her mind after seeing how Corvus is? Mars isn't sure, but at least they're getting the information the desperately need.
"Thank you for telling us this, but we have more questions. Since Corvus is a god of Deception, can we safely assume that Scorn's sister can't really be wished back? Your tone seemed to indicate no, but I just want to make sure."
Sailor Moon might require Jupiter's strength, as she suddenly slumps a bit forward, and reaches for the girl. Her body trembles once again, but her heart doen't falter even in the face of Usa's words, right or wrong.
She listens. And then Sailor Moon speaks, hands weakly clenched.
"I want to free that girl." Starts Sailor Moon. She looks to the other Senshi. Then, a nod to them.
"No one should be tricked! Corvus did something awful! That's true. But..."
There's sadness in Ursa's flame. Usagi feels it, and then, she stands firm.
"Maybe that was right, but..." Usagi reaches desperately, utterly unwilling to cast off either Usa, Corvus, or the girl Corvus has ensnared as lost.
Usagi takes a deep breath, and it's Mars' words that give her pause.
She ends as a confused, soft-hearted girl. She can barely keep on her feet.
Sailor Moon looks to Sailor Mars. Her questions are wise, and so she simply listens.
Usagi has no answers, lost as she is, and latches on to the question of Scorn's sister.
"That would answer why Scorn is working with Corvus. He's tricked Scorn into thinking her sister will come back if she helps Corvus. And he's not going to help her." Mercury says softly. She looks to Moon and sighs.
"Unfortunately, Sailor Moon, we can't let him go free. That would just bring more doom to us all, and more souls being taken than what's going on now." She then looks to Mars. "Mars has a point, is it possible to ask for your power to use against Corvus and Scorn? Your time may have passed, but you are needed now, even if it's temporarily against Corvus."
When Sailor Moon begins to sag, Sailor Jupiter is there, a steady and solid support to lean on however much her friend may need. She places a hand gently on Usagi's shoulder, doing her best to reassure. "It'll be all right," she murmurs.
Despite the words, though, Makoto can't help but feel a pang of sympathy for the girl who's being used by Corvus. Wishing to bring back her sister... oh, Mako can understand that kind of pain.
If something like Corvus had come across her path before she met Usagi, and promised her that it could bring her parents back, she's not sure what she might have done.
Her voice is barely more than a whisper, not loud enough to interrupt the questions that Mars and Mercury have for Ursa, or the bear spirit's answer. "...we'll have to make her understand how Corvus is tricking her," Jupiter says, more to herself than anyone else. The look on her face is a troubled one; the task before them won't be easy.
"Yes. But I have no desire to form a new Pact. Our power is better forgotten.". The fire flickers. "Corvus has no intentions of honoring the wish. He can't even grant wishes. He is promising things he will and cannot deliver on. Even I cannot grant wishes. None of us sealed in these tablets can."
The fire seems to die down a moment... before it answers....
"Sealing Corvus again, will not harm the girl. But still leave her with the Crow's gift- with Corvus's role being reduced merely to a power source- as it should be. As it was MEANT to be. These powers are not innately evil.- but they still come from a dark place- and with loss in her heart, the powers been twisted into something awful.
The fire flickers...
"....I...." the flame flickers again. "I won't. I am sorry. Mortals abandoned us many years ago. But... there is one of our number... who is willing to help....."
A gray fireball poofs out against the ground and takes the shape of something vaugely small and raccoon-like. It waves with one hand. "Hellooooooooooo! I'm Procyon! Master of Adorableness and being Suppppper Cute!" he says. The fire lets out a sigggggghhhhh.
"This is Procyon." "Master of being super cute." Master of Guile and Stripes. ansi(+xterm247,"----and being super cute.")]
Ursa gives up and continues. "He'll try to help you convince Scorn. That is the best I can do. The others, and myself, do not wish to be involved. If things get more dire... we'll... consider alternatives."
Perhaps Usagi is too pure hearted, but Sailor Mercury's words seem to strike her utterly. Her arms hug herself, but she believes in her friends.
The strong arms of Jupiter collect her, and Usagi looks close to tears. This isn't her usual tears, but pure, simple tears of suffering. She feels for the lost sister, the girl who lost that sister, even the creature caught between worlds. Jupiter's strength, Mercury's words, Mars' spiritual and physical presence, the pure presence of Sailor V...Sailor Moon stands tall only because of their strength.
"Jupiter-chan is right. We need to make her realize she's doing the wrong thing!" Comes the girl suddenly.
"Maybe if we really help, then her sister and her will be okay! Then Corvus won't need to trick her anymore!" Comes Usagi desperately for the most hopeful outcome. Her legs give out around now, even in henshin, leaning on Sailor Jupiter utterly. She seems exhausted.
And then there's a raccoon that Usagi latches all of her hopes upon.
"Procyon-san!" She starts. And then despite the fire, she reaches out a hand recklessly. She's reaching for an ear to rub. Someone should probably stop her.
"...We'll help Scorn-chan! I promise, on the light of the Moon! Usa-chan, Procyan-kun! No matter what, we'll do what we can for her!" Finally offers Sailor Moon, the pure hope in her heart shining in her words!
Mars listens to what Ursa says. She doesn't necessarily like what she hears... but the truth has inherient value even if it's bad news.
"I think we can agree, at least, that the girl, Scorn, needs to be told what's happening. She may not believe us at first, but if we could convince her."
Procyon appears, and Mars sweatdrops. Super-cute, huh? Well it's certainly a- NO USAGI DON'T TOUCH THAT IT'S FIRE!
Mars leans foward to get in the way, preventing Moon from touching the flaming raccoon. "Moon, that's still fire, you know!"
She smiles apologetically at Procyon, and then Ursa speaks again. Sailor Mars nods and says, "I understand. Thanks for helping us as much as you have. The information you've given us really makes a difference."
To Procyon, she asks, "So... do you have a plan to convince her?"
Mercury can't help but giggle at the cute fire spirit animal that has decided to help them. "This.....is going to be interesting. Scorn will probably go to the hospital with headaches.......and doctors will be confused as to why she has a hand print on her face." She then giggles. "I do appreciate your help Procyon-san. Anything you can do to help us will be wonderful."
...oh no, it's *cute.* Sailor Jupiter isn't quite as tempted as Sailor Moon to try and pet the spirit-raccoon, but in spite of the serious matters at hand she can't quiet keep a smile from her face as she watches him. Not to mention Rei's hasty intervention to keep Usagi from burning herself.
"Thank you, Ursa-san, Procyon-chan." The Senshi of Thunder bows her head respectfully in thanks. "We absolutely won't let you down."
Procyon is fire! Usag only doesn't get burned due to Rei's common sense, amongst the strength in total of the senshi. She so wants to pet those soft raccoon ears though! Call it a weakness.
Then she latches onto Mars' words.
"Anything will help!" She offers to the spirit creature!
Usagi shivers a bit. Headaches are the least her heart imagines for poor Scorn, but she still clamps to Ami's thoughts.
"Yes, please! Anything Procyon-san!" Begs the moonlit girl.
Two nods here.
"Definitely! The sailor senshi will fight for every single person we can save!" Declares Sailor Moon in Jupiter's wake. It might not bode well for the group, but this girl seems utterly determined for such a goal!
Minako Aino/Sailor V declares she is the mistress of cute and you'd better not touch her, either, else you'll get burned. But mostly remains quiet.
"Call on me again if things get dire. Call on Procyon as you desire. This has been taxing. I apologize."
The fire seems to vacate suddenly, as it dies down and looks...like a normal fire.
Procyon crosses his arms as he sits up on hind legs. "I don't burn! I'm not hot. You all can pet me as much as you like!" he says with a hrmph! He pauses when Mars speaks. "I do! That's why I started yelling in Ursa's ear to lemme in.
He poofs out of existence and perches on Mars shoulder. "Corvus is a jerk. But he's a /smart/ jerk, so that's why you have someone like me, who is smarter than that jerk." he then pauses. "But seriously! The next time she shows up---and... I know computer girl over there has that beacon thing--- I'm going to try to kick Corvus's tail feathers out of existence for a bit. Take him to my hidey hole for a bit. Can't keep him away forever, but enough that I'll block out his influence for a bit. We're talking some minutes. Not hours or days. She'll be cut off, and maybe you can get through to her without a crow infestation. Can't promise what'll happen when Corvus comes back. If she's able to come around- Corvus won't have an island to stand on, since he can't choose a new Priestess unless the current one dies. All he'll be able to do is squawk and rage about it.
"Sound like a plan, Red? You think you guys can get trough to her that fast?
Procyon doesn't burn? And he's standing on Sailor Mars's shoulder? Well, this close to the raccoon, Sailor Mars can't help but consider the point proven. "Oh... well... if it's alright, then..."
She sweatdrops a little, feeling a bit silly for her previous reaction. Well, at least it would've been okay if she didn't react in time?
Rei sits up straight, turning her head towards Procyon.
"It's a small window, but it should be enough to get her to listen. Even if she doesn't believe us right away, we can put the seeds of doubt in her mind. I think, between the five of us, we could probably do it."
"It's true that Corvus himself has a certain influence, though. I felt it when he first appeared in the fire, before Ursa came to stop him. That kind of power could be distorting her mind..."
Mars thinks it over for a moment, before looking at her comrades. "What do you guys think? I think it could work, but it's not going to be easy, and we'll need to tell her things that she probably doesn't want to hear, such as the fact that she's probably not getting her sister back."
For Sailor Jupiter, there's really only one answer to that question. "We have to, don't we?" she says simply. "It'll be hard on her, but the alternatives..." She doesn't finish that thought, just lets her voice trail off mid-sentence, heavy with unspoken implications they're all already well aware of.
"But," Jupiter adds, very gravely, "we'll have to choose our timing just right. If someone like Miss White interferes again, even with Corvus out of the way, we might not be able to get through to her."
"Yeah, Corvus is able to promise things really, really well. That's about it." Procyon seems to lean a paw against his 'chin' in thought as his fire-like form flickers a bit. "Oh, you mean the white haired one that introduced her to those other human jerks. Yeah. That's gonna be hard. Because. Even if you convince her of Corvus's actions- she's already in deep with these OTHER jerks. It really is a mess. But you gotta have hope that she's going to do the right thing. I know it sounds silly- because all you've seen her do is.. cast soul steal or some stuff, but she can really /help/ people like the Priestesses did back when I even had one! "
"But I know a secret, and the secret is that I don't think white hair really /likes/ the bird. I bet she'd /help/ if you talked to her, or let her know what was going on--- or at the very least, she'd keep her distance."
Procyon leaps off Mar's shoulder and onto the ground.
"I'm gonna go snoop somewhere else now. You know my number, right? That's 123-Just-Yell-Into-The-Fire." and with that Procyon does a swan jump into the fire like he was diving into a swimming pool. There's a small crackle as he does this.
"Something tells me that Sailor Moon would get to her quickest, but we have to corner and isolate her." mercury says before looking to Procyon and smiling. "Yeah. Sailor Moon did that with me and Mars when she met us." She then nods to Procyon and ponders. "This 'Miss White' person doesn't seem completely bad, just misled......like Scorn."
Minako Aino/Sailor V does her passive quiet listening from her vantage point by the entrance. She's not as aware of some of the particular names as everyone present and adorable spirit animals are definitely not what she was expecting on this particular outting, but she remains optimistic.
"When it comes toisolating and cornering people, I'm your gal!" she says with a less-than-reassuring wink. "If you need any help, just call on Sailor V!" she announces, her energetic expressions and gestures causing her miko bells to ring.
"My phone number is 757 something something... it spells 'Sailor V' in number talk!"
Mars nods, saying, "Alright. We'll contact you again when we need your help. Thanks again." Mars is confident, at least, that she /will/ need Procyon's help at some point. She's also confident that she can create a fire on command. So they have that going for them.
Turning to the other senshi, Mars says, "It's true that Miss White seems to regard Scorn higher than she regards Corvus. I remember hearing her tell Corvus to shut up at one point. If we could explain it to Miss White first... I don't know if she'd do the /right/ thing, but she might consider it to be in her best interests."
Sailor V gives her number, sortof, and Mars gets what she means, "Oh! Right. I get it. Thanks, Sailor V! Um..." Mars finds something to write on, picks up a piece of paper, and writes down a throwaway number. "Here, take my number too, in case we need to be in contact..."
Now would probably be a good time to ask about Mamoru Chiba. Too bad Rei Hino completely forgot.
