Thoughtful Madoka had brought her her homework, which gave Sayaka something to distract her from her never-ending task at hand.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Although Sayaka had worn herself out repeatedly, she had been thoughtful enough to save some grief seeds for herself, and had collected quite a few of them. No, she was not ready to die, just yet.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;However, her mental state is rapidly getting worse, and not even grief seeds in the end, can keep a Puella Magi from losing herself to her own grief and despair.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She has just defeated a witch on the docks, and the labrynth melts away gradually before her. Exhausted, she drops to one knee, breathing heavily..This was a tough one..<br> <br>

She's looking at it, staring really, almost listlessly. She doesn't even seem to be noticing that anything else is going on right now, and she doesn't seem to care that her Soul Gem is a swimming mass of black mixed with a tint of purple.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her wandering leads her to the dock that Sayaka is now on, as Homura was tracking the Witch that Sayaka herself just defeated. Homura stares at the exhausted Sayaka for a moment, or maybe even stares past her, before saying, "Oh. I guess you've already got this one. Nevermind."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her Soul Gem vanishes in a flare of purple, not becoming a ring on her finger... it seems to have disappeared? Nah, that's impossible, she's just keeping it hidden somewhere. She turns her back to Sayaka, and starts to walk away. She takes a few steps before she stops again. Should she try to say something to her? Why bother? It's not like Sayaka ever listens to her anyways.<br> <br>

Well, since you turn into a Witch and since Witches get hunted down, I don't really think you can call that a lie."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;After a moment, she realizes that she sounds like Kyubey when she says that. She hates herself just a little more for it, but it's not as if she had a real choice. Telling the truth would just lead to worse and worse things.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Homura's purple eyes focus on the sharp edge of the cutlass being pointed at her. So, it's going to be like this, is it? Just like it is in every timeline. Sayaka then remembers how she recently met a 'fake' Homura, and never really discovered if that one had actually been defeated.
