|Synopsis=Momo takes Sachiko to play DDR, hoping that the opportunity to dance will cheer her friend up. There, they meet someone else who knew Anshi ... and Sayaka Miki's story is just a little bit different from the other ones Sachiko has heard.

Soon, they'll all be back to school, starting the new school year and facing new challenges, but for now it's time to be care free and eat pizza and milkshakes!<br /><br />Today, a sleek black car pulls up to the front, and the driver gets out quickly and goes to the back. "Here you are, Hayakawa-sama, Akatsuki-sama," he says as he allows the two girls to exit the back. And those two girls look anything but the types to be riding with such well attending staff.<br /><br />The first to exit is Sachiko Hayakawa: a seven year old with cinnamon hair and blue-green eyes. She's dressed, today, in a long black dress with more petticoats and lace tha any girl has a right to, over white tights and a pair of black and pink sneakers that look slightly out of place with the rest of the outfit. The big problem, though, is that Sachiko looks about as far from 'having fun' as a seven year old can be. She's not actively crying, but she looks like she's spent the last week buried in utter misery and sorrow. Which, of course, she has.<br /><br />As she gets out of the car, Sachiko just sort-of stands there, staring at the crown uncertainly. She doesn't even get out of the road, right away. This prompts the driver to grimace just a little and tap her on the back, but it has no real effect. "Akatsuki-sama," he says, voice a little whisper, "Please take care of the young mistress. I don't know what's come over her, but it would not do for there to be another ... incident."

She enjoys the music, the dark lights, the general feel of the place, even if it does distract her from her homework. Oh well! Who needs school, or homework, anyway!?<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And so she's happily playing on the DDR game machine, competing against the computer and having a swell time. Looks like she's catching onto many old Kyouko habits!

She'd chose to wear an equally frilly, but more brightly coloured outfit of pink and white for the outing and stood as a contrast of brightness to the darkness of Sachiko in both expression and clothing.<br /> <br /> Momo listened closely to the driver before nodding at him, and taking Sachiko's hand in her own. She glanced down both ways and then started tugging Sachiko across the street at a dead-run so any car that was being driven badly wouldn't flyby and get them before they made it.<br /> <br /> Once inside of the Center, Momo looking around quizzically for the target she'd scoped out as the next attempt in S.U.D.S.R. (Super Under Delighted Sachiko's Recovery). Sachiko liked to dance and here at the Crown Game Center they had a few dancing games that she knoew of. She bee-lined towards them, not really noticing the one she was headed for was in use until she got there.

Rather than allow herself to run with, the girl just leans back--which normally would result in digging in her heels, but Momo is a smart girl: she has put Sachiko in her heelies! This means Sachiko rolls right along with Momo, crossing the street at a quick pace until they reach the crown.<br /><br />At least Sachiko isn't so far out of it as to let herself trip on the curb or the doorway. She steps over both quickly, then goes right back onto her heels, allowing Momo to do all the work of getting them to the dance machines.<br /><br />Meanwhile, a little white furry creature with a fox-like tail, cat-like ears, and bunny-like flop hanging from his ears, appears atop the machine. Kyubey looks down on the trio of girls curiously, but doesn't say anything right away.<br /><br />Sachiko puts her toes down when they reach the machine, then watches almost absently as Sayaka dances. She doesn't say anything, but she ''does'' seem at least a little bit more interested in it than she has any other piece of scenery Momo's put in front of her.

It's the furthest she's ever gone in this game and it's crazier than ever! Suddenly her feet are running away with her, nearly getting tangled up as she tries to keep up. The screen flashes red as she loses too many steps and finally the words 'GAME OVER!' are splashed across the screen!<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"Dammit! I lost! Great music though......!" it's then that she chances to glance up, and spies Kyubey of all creatures sitting casually atop the game machine. "Kyubey! What are you doing up there?" she frowns softly, but makes no move to attack him or the like. It's true that he was dishonest, or at least didnt tell her the whole truth when she made the wish, but she knew that wishes came with a price afterall.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Then the two girls come towards the game and she steps aside with a smile, "Heh, go ahead! I need to find some more change!" still, she keeps a wary eye on Kyubey, wondering if he's targetting one of these two girls.

"Hello, Sayaka Miki," it says in its typically cheerful tone of voice. "I'm here in case Sachiko Hayakawa decides to make a contract with me and become a Magical Girl!"<br /><br />Sachiko glances at Momo briefly, then looks up to Sayaka. "You know the Kyubey?" she asks confusedly, then blinks again before looking up at Kyubey. "Hello, Kyubey," she says to him, then looks at the dance machine curiously. Toeing out of her heelies, she steps up onto the edge in just her tights and peers at the display. "How do you play?" she asks, looking to Sayaka. "Will you teach me?"

She figured Sayaka would have to get up with her in order to teach her about it. Like any seven year old, it briefly bothered Momo that she'd planned to teach her friend about it but she was well-mannered and let an older girl take the wheel.<br /> <br /> Kyubey though... Kyubey earned a wrathful glare from Momo. She hadn't forgotten his intrusion on more than one day with Sachiko. He was a menace to fun everywhere, almost as bad as Barney the Purple Dinosaur.

Glancing over her shoulder, she smiles apologetically to Momo.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"Sorry! I'll just show her a few moves, then you can step in and continue my game if you like! I'm a bit beat afterall!" fumbling in her purse, Sayaka manages to find enough change and slips it in the coin slot, lighting up the player two control. "Alright! First, you gotta follow everything on the screen! See those four arrows on your foot pad? They're the same four directions on the screen! Just mimic the directions with your feet..Like this!"<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And as the first four arrows fall - down down right right, she mimics the directions on the pad - down down right right! "Got it?"

These she offers to Sayaka, but the girl has her own, so she puts the roll away again and turns to watch as the game starts. "I've never played any video games before," Sachiko notes quietly. "An-chi said we didn't need video games to have fun." Probably because t hey didn't have the money for them.<br /><br />Sachiko has to bend over to see the pad at her feet--her many-layered skirts make it hard to see them--but she does observe the four directional arrows curiously. Then she looks up at the game, back down at the pads, then up at the game again. As the arrows start to fall, she hops back with both feet on the down arrow. Hop. Hop. Then she hops to the right arrow. Hop. Hop. "Got it," she says, as the next arrows fall: left left, up up. Hop. Hop. Hop. Hop.

This seems like progress is being made in S.U.D.S.R, and even though it might be a little bit it added good wood to the fire of Momo's hope that soon Sachiko would be back to normal.

Why would Kyubey be so cruel as to go after such young children? As if tempting girls her own age wasn't bad enough?? She nods at Sachiko and chuckles, "Me neither! I guess my friend Kyou-chan got me into them! But it's a good stress reliever, especially after a long day of school!"<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And then she mentions An...An..Anshi Hayakawa!? Aha, that was her name! "Anshi-san? The beginner song is so simple she doesn't even really have to use both legs; she just hops from light to light, staring up at the screen with rapt attention. Sachiko's face turns decidedly sadder at the mention of fighting, but she doesn't say anything for a few more hops of the arrows.<br /><br />She doesn't stay silent forever, though. "Walpurgy-not," she finishes for Sayaka. "You fought with her at Walpurgy-not. That's where Sky Jack-onee-san said she died. He said she sacrificed herself to make sure the Walpurgy-not was defeated, and then fell in the ocean and died." <br /><br />Sachiko misses a hop. Her sad face turns angry briefly, but it fades almost immediately. She misses another hop, and gets angry again, then slams her fist on the screen. "Stop messing up!" she shrieks at it.'

"I'm Momo Akatsuki. Sachiko is my bestest friend ever. You knew Sachiko's Anya-neesama? Did you know my onee-sama too? Mei Akatsuki!". She figured if she could get her sister as the topic, or something else, she'd be able to lead it away from things that were upsetting Sachiko.

I go to Infinity, she's probably a different school.."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;As for her question about Sachi's sister, she just nods slowly, hesitant to say anymore on that topic for now. "I guess as a Puella Magi, you can ask me anything you want, however, about Kyubey, about us.." she shrugs, ~About Anshi~ she wants to say but..

This is possibly more emotion than Momo has seen out of the girl since Miss White took her heart's egg. After a moment, Sachiko takes a deep breath, then closes her eyes, and her whole frame seems to sink a bit as she ereturns to the previous, depressed state she was in.<br /><br />"I don't know what a Puella Magi is," she says as her turn times out. Reaching into her purse again, she pulls out the coins and offers them to Momo. "Kyubey says he will let me wish for anything I want," she says quietly.<br /><br />"But Momo-chan says I should make my wish come true on my own," Sachiko continues. "And Sky Jack-onii-san says that if I make a wish I won't get what I want. But the Kyubey says I will get exactly what I wish for. I don't know what to do or who to believe anymore. But I don't want to make Momo-chan unhappy," she says, looking at her friend.<br /><br />Then she turns to look at Sayaka. "Did An-chi make a wish? Do you know what she wished for?"

She didn't compose herself to happiness or anything, Momo noted.<br /> <br /> With a little sigh, Momo unrolled the coins and placed some of them into the machine as Sachiko spoke to Sayaka. She figured she'd try and figure out how to dance again while Sachiko discussed things. "I never racked up the courage to tell him how I felt, but I gently encouraged him in his music. He's an extremely talented violinist who relies heavily on his hands to play."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"But one day, there was an..Accident. No, not just an accident. We were attacked by a youma at a violin performance. He was badly injured trying to protect me, and he lost the use of his hands.." She frowns sadly at the memory, "I stayed at his side in the hospital for many days and weeks and months, but his condition never improved, not even the surgery. Nothing worked and it seemed like his dreams would be lost forever.."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Again, Sayaka looks back to Kyubey, and smiles, "That's when I made my wish with Kyubey. The doctors told him to give up hoping, that only a 'miracle' could heal his hands. And so that's what I wished for. A miracle to heal him...And Kyubey granted me that miracle. Kyousuke-kun is now a famous and successful violinist. He is happy and living his dream, and I'm just glad I was able to help him. Even though he never knew the truth, even though he fell in love with another girl, still I found a way to move on...And I never regretted my wish, even though I now understand the price of that wish.."

This isn't a side of Momo she's seen before, and it's not one she's ever really thought about. "You mean the contract to be a magical girl? That doesn't seem like a very bad price. You just gotta fight against monsters and stuff, right?"

Becoming a Puella means that a soulgem is created, the source of your power, and also a container for your soul.."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She briefly ponders if she need explain that part further, but for now, perhaps Sayaka had better leave it at that. "You use that soulgem to transform into a magical girl and fight witches, the source of curses. "But there are other..Prices to pay too. However, maybe that's enough information overload for now. The best advice I can give you is to think carefully about your wish. Kyubey is powerful and can grant miracles. Who knows the extent of his power? However, if you do choose to make a contract, just make sure that your wish is something worth risking your life for."

"I don't know," she whimpers quietly, eyes wide with uncertainty. "How do you know if it's worth it? An-chi," she whimpers. "I miss An-chi, but she can't come back. She can't come back unless I wish for it. But if I wish for it, everyone will be mad at me."<br /><br />She looks between Sayaka and Momo, then takes a deep breath and hunches her shoulders. "I'm not a good girl. I don't deserve An-chi to come back. But I want her to. Then I won't be so sad. Isn't that worth being a magical girl? Isn't ... isn't that worth a wish?"

She looks at Sayaka with bright pink eyes. "Do you think such a wish would be worth all the trouble it may cause?". It was an oddly mature question for such a young girl, but Momo has things going in her life that give her a brief insight out of her child-like dome of sanctuary.
