A tiny little girl, she looked like she was about Sakura's age. And apparently trying to capture her counted as a challenge.<br /><br /> Sakura had done rather well, at first. She'd used the fight card. Got in a few good punches and kicks, kneed her once. Then Power had tried to punch her. And missed.<br /><br /> And smashed a five foot hole through a brick wall, leaving Sakura staring with a look of horror, before turning to the creature.<br /><br /> "O-oh," she squeaked. Before running, calling for help. <br /><br /> Now she was trying to fight it(with the fight card), but she was a little ten year old girl and while she was able to land solid hits, -they weren't doing anything-. And this was Power. She only had to hit -once-.

Oh, she always checks them eventually, but usually not until minutes or even hours after she's gotten them- she didn't have a cell phone until relatively recently, and hasn't quite formed habits that are so second-nature to most girls her age. This time, however, Sakura had gotten lucky. She mutters, as she heads in that direction.

She homes in on Sakura and Power just as quickly - two running steps and she's bounding into the air again, buoyed by the wind of her power.<br /><br />In short order, Sakura will find herself scooped off her feet and safely out of Power's immediate punching range. "Hey," Jupiter says, flashing a quick, reassuring smile. "The cavalry's here. Wanna fill us in?"<br /><br />Although really, the trail of wrecked spots where Power's other hits landed tells the story pretty well as it is.

I think it's like... the strength card, or the power card, or the hit card!" <br /><br /> The girl cocked an eye, then... ran at Apatite, trying to punch her next. This was less callousness and more that she seemed to know what Jupiter was doing, and instead of going with her, had seamlessly interposed herself between the Senshi and Cardcaptor and the rampaging card itself, her red eyes watching the small-girl-appearing-thing with almost casual-appearing unconcern, although the focus of her gaze was anything but.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"That's one of those annoying cards?" She asks, sounding vaugely skeptical. Not that it was dangerous- the damage surrounding them made that clear. And indeed, it's hard to miss the results of Apatite's punch. The wind settles once more as Jupiter touches down again, setting Sakura back down on her feet. "We'd better be careful, then."<br /><br />With her hands freed, she turns to orient herself fully on the card, and her eyes narrow a little. "If hitting her's not going to work..." she murmurs, lifting both hands before her. A spark crackles in an arc between her palms before they press together, gathering energy between them into a tight white-hot sphere. <br /><br />"Sparkling Wide Pressure!" Her arm cocks back, and then she's hurling the ball-lightning at Power like a fastball.

The little card was sent hurtling back a moment later, crashing through a tree and looking a bit bruised and battered. But, slowly it got up. It then looked around... before grabbed a tree and with a silent grunt, yanked it from the ground and hurtled it at them. <br /><br /> Sakura, to her credit, got out of there. "Dash!" And ran to avoid it. So they didn't have to save her.

She snerks.. then blinks as the little-looking girl pulls a tree out of the ground and threw it towards them. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;With a red flash, Apatite's spear whips around, slicing neatly through the tree, letting the two halves of the trunk fly past her to crash into the ground, the wind ruffling her short red hair. "Dammit, stop wrecking the park!"<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A glance is cast over towards Jupiter and Sakura. "It seems like non-physical attacks are our best bet." She calls. "I'll distract it.. try an' zap it again!" And then she's dashing forward, her spear whirling in one hand, as she begins a series of complicated, lightning-fast stabs and feints, trying to keep the card's eyes on her and not on the others- while maintaining enough distance to get out of the way of incoming attacks.

"Got it!" she calls back, and raising her hands again she begins to circle around for a better shot at Power. "Don't get too close - I don't wanna catch you in it!"<br /><br />Apatite engages the card up close, while Jupiter watches for her opening. Overhead, dark clouds have gathered where there were none before... and soon enough, the lightning rod in Sailor Jupiter's tiara sparks, and she jabs a hand towards Power to unleash a silvery lance of electricity. Then was forced to back up from the blade. Oh, seemed blunt hits didn't do much, but maybe blades would?<br /><br /> Then the card got frustrated. It stomped its good, sending the ground ahead of it flying, pelting the poor girl with rocks, dirt and brick and possibly knocking her back. It then started to charge forward to try and hit her... <br /><br /> Then a lightning bolt struck her, sending her flying back again. She laid on the ground for a moment longer this time before, slowly, getting to her feet. <br /><br /> She looked hurt and battered. Then she punched the ground, shattering it and sending dirt and rubble flying everywhere, as well as a cloud of dust in about a fifteen food area. <br /><br /> Sakura, to her credit, drew her windy card to clear the wind a second later. However, once it was cleared... <br /><br /> The card was gone? They'd then be able to hear some rustling... the crunching of metal. She'd grabbed and broke a street light, yanking it out of the ground and was running at Kyouko, swinging it. <br /><br /> The poor park. :'(

She doesn't really get a chance to take advantage of this though, because before she can press her attack, Power stomps the ground and forces Kyouko to duck back, getting pelted with debris. "Agh, dammit!"<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;In the end this works out though, because it forces her back just as Jupiter's bolt of lightning zaps in and smashes Power another good one. Lowering her warding arm and shaking chunks of rock from her hair, Apatite grins. "Hey, nuce hit!"<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her elation is short-lived, however, because the small card-girl re-appears.. wielding a street light like a staff. "Oh, for chrissake.." Kyouko mutters, before flashing her spear up yet again. Her thin little spear shouldn't be able to block a metal bludgeon the size of that streetlight on its own, but it suddenly flares with crimson light as she channels power into it.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And when the light intersects it, the spear stops the swing with a thunderous clang. Kyouko grunts, falling back a step. "Why the hell does it hate me so much, you're the one who keeps zapping it!" She shouts across at Jupiter as she tries to fend the thing off.

"Maybe she's not very smart!"<br /><br />Lightning is having an effect, but clearly not enough of one. With a grimace of frustration, she clenches her fists and charges towards Power from the side. A wind kicks up and surges ahead of her, becoming a dizzying flurry of flower petals that engulf Power to confuse and disorient her. <br /><br />If that doesn't take some of the pressure off of Apatite, then maybe having another target in reach - one with electricity sparking and hissing from her fingertips - will help distract Power enough to give one of them an opening.

It was confused alright.<br /><br /> Granted, then it took a baseball bat swing at Jupiter, aiming for her center of mass. <br /><br /> Sakura cringed, before drawing a card. "Umm, umm... wood! Bind her!" Vines rose up from the ground, wrapping around power. they survived all of two seconds before the girl just yanked herself free, then taking another swing at whoever was closer of Sailor Jupiter and Apatite. On the up side, she didn't seem to be smart at all.

Her lip curling in a snarl, baring a single fang, Kyouko presses the advantage, her spear whirling, being used more as a quarterstaff than as a slicing weapon for the moment.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sakura tries to restrain the thing without much success, and Kyouko spits a curse as it rips free. "Dammit.. alright, Jupes, we'll have to do this just like when we practice!"<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"You like punching?" She then snarls at Power. "Then let's try punching again!" She waits until Power is dodging away from Jupiter, then reels her hand back. Crimson light explodes from her fist as she channels her magic away from her spear and into it , her hand glowing like a small star as she just hauls off and tries to punch Power right in the side of the head again with considerably more force than last time.. and if she hits, hopefully sending her stumbling straight towards Jupiter for the follow-up.

If she hadn't been on her guard, that streetlight-bat swing would've caught her full-on. As it is, she just barely manages to jump back from being completely clobbered. The metal pole whiffs close enough that a thin bright thread of electricity leaps from Sailor Jupiter and jolts along the conductor to Power's hands.<br /><br />When Apatite calls out, once again Jupiter nods short and sharp in understanding. "Roger!" she shouts back, no further discussion needed.<br /><br />In the aftermath of Kyouko's attack, Jupiter is poised and ready for Power to come her way. She's seen enough of what Power can do that she doesn't even try to hit her head-on; instead, a quick shift of her stance tries to redirect all that strength and momentum, to send Power into a judo throw that - if it works - will drash her straight into the ground.

The card looked at its hands in shock... And then POW! The blow hits it, sending the card straight at Apatite, the card's eyes closed and then BAM! Jupiter slams it into the ground, the ground shaking a little from the combined power attack. <br /><br /> For a moment, there was silence. And then... The card started to get up. It stood up, stared at them and then... <br /><br /> It fell down on its stomach and began to silently cry, pounding on the ground with its lil fists, making it shake and rumble. Sakura blinked a few times, staring and then lifting a hand. "I... I think it's done," she said softly. And, true enough, after a few moments, the card... went limp and just quietly cried on the ground. Sakura stepped forward. <br /><br /> "Return to your true form! Clow card!" The magic of the card gathered up, flew into the air and then... flew down, floating in the air between Apatite and Jupiter.

"Nice setup," she replies, before her expression shifts to concern. "...Geez, way to go all-out."<br /><br />The important thing is, the card's a card again. Jupiter glances at it for a moment, brows drawing together - all that trouble from a little square of cardstock - before she looks toward Sakura. "You'll keep it under control now?"
