Miku's had more than enough time to recover from her hangover, which--all things considered--wasn't that bad. She didn't drink a lot; she just drank a lot for a first time scrawny teenager.<br /><br />But she did have homework this weekend, and she didn't get ''any'' of it done Friday or Saturday, which means now she's frantically trying to get her report written. This is not a situation Miku is used to.<br /><br />Still in her banana yellow pajamas at two in the afternoon, Miku is seated at her computer desk when the buzz comes from her RA about a bluenette who wants to come up. Without thinking, Miku simply says, "Sure, let her in."<br /><br />Moments later, Miku is answering the door and utterly surprised to find, "Sayaka-chan!" at her door. "Ah. Come in, come in. Sorry I didn't ... clean up." Or get dressed.

And she was already in enough trouble for repeatedly skipping classes, failing a bunch of tests and being late for cram school to boot. So she *really* needed her uniform back..<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;..But more importantly, she was concerned about Miku and wanted to check up on her. As for weekend homework? "It's fine," she says quietly, shutting the door behind her. "I'm fine. This is a fine time. I just got distracted working on this paper and I forgot you said you were going to come over."<br /><br />Inside, there's a small kitchenette and a short hallway leading back to an open living area. The living area has a piano-shaped table on which Miku's laptop currently resides. There's two chairs--space for two laptops?--and a few scattered books on musical theory and musical history.<br /><br />There's a bunk bed to one side of the room. The top bunk has clearly been slept in recently, but the bottom bunk remains a mystery: shrouded behind sheets hung up like a curtain to make a hidden little space. <br /><br />On the wall opposite the bunkbed is a fantastic stereo system, and a shelf lined with music of nearly every genre from classical to glitch hop. Posters on the wall for Zwei Wing, Hatsune Miku, Ikimono-gakari, and Momoiro speak to the many tastes of the occupants. There's even a Babymetal EP hanging on the wall!<br /><br />Miku motions for Sayaka to have a seat at the desk, then offers, "Can I get you something to drink? Tea? Coffee?"

When you're riding on a great scholarship, money can go towards frivolous things, and one of Miku's favourite places to spend her money is on coffee. "Do you take sugar or cream?" she calls over her shoulder, then emerges with a small service. Sugar, creamer, and two cups of coffee are both present. This gets laid out in front of Sayaka. One cup is removed and placed before the bluenette. Then Miku takes the other and moves to reclaim her own seat.<br /><br />"Ah," Miku blushes a little at the question, then spoons a tiny bit of sugar into her cup. "Well, I didn't drink ''that'' much, and I kinda know how to deal with hangovers. My friends have drunk before. It was just ... a first for ''me''." She distinctly doesn't meet Sayaka's gaze.<br /><br />"Anyways, I'm alright," Miku demurs. "Lots of water, bedrest, and protein. I'm um. I'm sorry I ruined our da--uh, night out. By the time I realised what was happening, it was too late and I was struggling with thinking straight."

And then ... you encouraged me to sing. You danced with me. I liked all of that," Miku says, before looking back up at Sayaka worriedly. "I ... I'm sorry I forced myself on you, a little. Oh that ... I guess I don't feel quite so bad. Or maybe worse. Oh geeze, Miku, what a mess."<br /><br />She closes her eyes, then bows her head before Sayaka and takes a deep breath.<br /><br />"I did have fun," Miku says quietly, as she continues to stare down at her hands, now clasped in a prayer position. "I had a lot of fun with you. I feel guilty, because I still don't know where Hibiki is, or what she's doing or when I will see her again. But ... well ... as you said: wouldn't it be nice if peopole have signs to say they are or aren't interested? I would be lying if I said I was not ... interested."<br /><br />Here, Miku clears her throat, then slides away from the table. She heads to that covered bed and pushes aside the curtains, then pulls out a bundle of clothing. Freshly laundered and smelling of sunflowers, Miku has taken very good care of Sayaka's school uniform. She holds out the uniform towards Sayaka, bowing over it. "Thank you for letting me borrow this. I'll understand if you'd rather avoid me for a while."

She's confused about so very many topics, not the least of which is the pretty girl in her room right now, and why she isn't angry.<br /><br />But also not the least of which is that last fading scent of Hibiki, still lingering in the room. Or is it just a memory, not really there?<br /><br />Miku sighs and looks up at Sayaka again, then shrugs faintly. "You shouldn't be treated as a delinquent on my account. You're too kind for that." No messy reports. No left-out dishes. Instead, she pushes her chair back and reaches down. "Mmm, I don't have a piano," she says, as she pulls a keyboard out and sets it on the desk, "but this is nearly as good." It's a digital keyboard; the kind that a modern DJ might use to create unique music. Miku quickly taps in a few settings, then leans over and grabs a cord coming out of her stereo system. Afew more buttons, then she rolls her fingers across the keys, and a beautiful (and only slightly digitized) piano sound emerges.<br /><br />"Mozart?" she asks thoughtfully, considering her options for a moment. There's a brief breath, then she begins to play. It's Mozart, of course: Sonata No 11, A major 331.<br /><br />She plays the first several bars, then smiles up at Sayaka. "I've been playing piano since I was a little girl," she explains without missing a note. "I always dreamed I'd grow up to play in a famous concert, or be a composer half as good as Mozart or Beethoven. Now ... I just want to help people," she explains. "And maybe use my music to do it, if I can."
