Sitting down across from you, he takes one plate and puts it in front of you with the smell of the spices wafting up from the rice as well as the curry itself.<br /><br />"Okay", Koji says, "This is your basic two-star Butter Chicken. It's creamier than the regular curries, but it takes in the spices really easily. One of the really cool thing they do is they take the chicken and then marinate it in spices and yoghurt overnight."<br /><br />Then he hands the drink over, "This is the mango Lassi. It's almost like a yogurt smoothie. I don't like mango, so it's nothing I'll have.<br /><br />He grins, just a little as he says, "Bon appetit."

Your attention back to Koji however causes him to poke at his food a few moments before he takes up a few bites of his and then sips some lemon-lime soda to chase a little bit of the heat back down. <br /><br />"It's the traditional drink, so I wouldn't ask them to change it. Anything else is just a smoothie."<br /><br />He takes another few bites, and you watch him take the butter chicken sauce and begin spreading it over the spiced rice, "Well, I like pretty much everything they make here. It's like it's mostly Hindi with a little Japanese to it. My favorite has to be the lunch-size Biryani. It's a mixed rice dish. So you can get a whole meal in a single bowl. I usually have that with a pickled onion salad that Rashmi's dad makes that's scarily good. You'd think the onion would be sulphury and bitter, but whatever he pickles them in makes it almost sweet."
