(Only about a text a minute, she's patient!)<br /><br />She tries, so many ways, to get out of class.<br /><br />"I forgot my book!"<br /><br />"It's on your desk, Tsukino-san..."<br /><br />"It's that time of the month!"<br /><br />"You had that a week ago..."<br /><br />With each failed attempt, her face crumples even more.<br /><br />And then, she feels the ghost strike against her jaw, and it's all she can do to ''not'' cry out.<br /><br />It's now, when her face is nearly grey and she's two seconds from being sick on his desk, that the teacher allows her to leave.<br /><br />She ignores the bathroom, transforming instead and rushing to where she ''feels'' him, and finally, oh so finally, she finds him on a roof.<br /><br />Usagi ignores what ever Kyoubi Viscera is left behind, instead fluttering her hand against Mamoru's cheek, forehead, chest.<br /><br />"I'm so sorry," she says, hands never staying still. "I tried to get here sooner, I promise, but--"<br /><br />She cuts herself off, knowing this is ''his'' time to be frantic.<br /><br />"Are you okay?"<br /><br />The answer, probably, is no.<br /><br />But she will do whatever she can to make the answer yes.<br> <br>

:'''{{#var:38|Mamoru Chiba (38)}} has posed:'''<br><span></span>Mamoru, still in henshin though lacking the hat (as per usual), is propped up against an HVAC unit and sitting on the rooftop, gloves off and one hand at the side of his face, glowing slightly. A couple of minutes ago, Apatite decked him and left with Sayaka and he punched Kyubey off the roof. A minute ago, he told Hannah he was ditching school for the rest of the day and would just live with the detention tomorrow, but he declined her generous offer of helping him be a delinquent because Sailor Moon was on her way.<br /><br />Now, his head's tilted back against the HVAC and his eyes are closed-- until Usagi gets there, whereupon he lifts his head and drops his hand. He's tired, so the results of the punch are slower to fade; it looks like he got decked a couple days ago instead of like literally two minutes. Mostly he looks kind of done.<br /><br />And wry.<br /><br />Definitely wry.<br /><br />"I'm fine, I'm fine," he says, sucking in a breath as her hand flutters across his chest. "I just need another minute. I'm sorry to have dragged you back out of school for nothing."<br> <br>

"You didn't drag me anywhere."<br /><br />She leans over and gives his fading bruise several small kisses and her hand moves from the possible bruise on his chest to rest on his shoulder.<br /><br />"Even if you hadn't texted, I'd have come, anyway. This felt like it hurt pretty good. The teacher probably thought I was gonna hurl all over his desk!"<br /><br />She twists to lean against the HVAC beside him, boots crunching against errant detritus. <br /><br />She keeps her eyes on him, though, and her hands.<br /><br />She sighs. She can guess from...everything that things hadn't exactly gone as planned. "We'll get her back."<br> <br>

His warm hand's curled around her other side; he'd closed his eyes when she kissed his jaw, and it takes him a little while before he opens them again, looking up and across at the skyline.<br /><br />"I didn't even get back to school after the fight earlier-- I dropped my transformation right before I hit the school grounds, cut through an alley, and she dropped a freaking ''net'' in front of me. Glowing red, completely solid. Bounced off it and there she was behind me, telling me straight up she was taking me to the Dark Kingdom. So yeah-- confirmed, Operation: Gank Chiba is literally underway."<br> <br>

She's not able to stop the lance of sheer ''fear'' and ''panic,'' and she tries to push it down and away.<br /><br />She tries to keep it light as she breaths again. "Do you think we have a sort of Witness Protection thing? I hear Hawaii's rather nice. And I'd go with. To check that the beaches are safe, of ''course.'' Nothing to do with sunbathing."<br /><br />But even as she says it, she knows neither of them are leaving the country any time soon.<br /><br />Heck, she doesn't even have a passport...<br> <br>

"Hey, it's okay. They won't get me. And even if they do, we know we can get people back. I know you'll come find me, I know you'll save me."<br /><br />Mamoru pushes himself up from the wall a little, twisting himself to face her better, and that cupped hand turns her face up. He kisses her, soft and gentle, then smiles and touches his forehead to hers. "Everything'll be okay, Usako. There's no need to panic. I mostly talked my way out of it and texted White-chan to come pile-drive her through a wall when things looked sketchy. I'm fine. And Hawaii sounds nice and all, but I can't imagine what it'd do to my grades."<br> <br>

She tries to take these warm feelings of his to wrap around herself like a blanket.<br /><br />She thinks what she would do if he ''does'' get taken. "Of course I'll find you. And save you. And then kick your butt. But then I'd hugs you lots."<br /><br />The kiss works wonderfully to release the tension in her shoulders.<br /><br />Her hands slide around his back and her fingers snag on her glove. She likes touching him without the barrier of cloth, just as she enjoys his bare hand against her cheek like this.<br /><br />She giggles as she rests her hand against ''his'' cheek, fingers curving around his jaw. "Well, I ''suppose'' for the ''grades.''"<br /><br />She sighs, gives him a soft kiss of her own before she pulls back just a little. "Are you going back to class?"<br /><br />That's probably the logical thing to do.<br /><br />But she'd probably spend the rest of the day being Sneaky and checking in through windows and open doors to make sure he's still there.<br> <br>

His eyes close as she leans down to kiss him, and his hands slide up to link behind her back.<br /><br />It's a moment before he can answer even after she draws back a little, and the faintest smirk plays at the corner of his mouth. "Missed enough classtime to get detention anyway, so I'm ditching the rest of the day.
