That much was true- but she was also feeling more determined, and more in control of herself, than she had for a long while. Sayaka, yelling at her from the roof, had gotten through- She had been running from her problems, from the things that scared her, and that's why she had turned to Beryl and the Dark Kingdom.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Well, as she had said, she was done running. Which makes it sort of ironic that the next thing she did was run away from the fight (after stealing Sayaka). Of course, that isn't the same kind of running- the fight in the street back there hadn't been the real issue, just a symptom of it.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Either way, Apatite now leaps across the rooftops, with Sayaka held securely in her arms. No dropping. She doesn't go super far- just far enough to be sure they aren't being pursued. Then she drops down into a wide alley between two buildings.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Once on the ground, she puts Sayaka down, then takes a step away. Facing the other way, but with her head turned slightly so she can look over her shoulder. "You were right, you know. I've been a coward. But I'm done with that now. I promise."<br> <br>

Will Kyouko - or, Apatite as she calls herself now - will she take her back to queen Beryl? Will she try and silence her some other way for angering her? She should probably be scared for her life, something that is new to her, being the tough girl that she is.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But she has no powers. And this is Kyouko afterall. And while Sayaka hasn't known Kyouko as long as some, she still has a feeling that she can trust her not to hurt her. But..Will she be able to get through to her?<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;As the scenery speeds by around her, Sayaka starts to feel a little dizzy, not used to being carried over rooftops..Then suddenly she's let down. She takes a deep breath, feeling the earth beneath her feet, steadying herself before glancingt over at Kyouko curiously.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"Are you..?" Sayaka eyes Kyouko a bit warily still, careful to keep her distance, although there is concern in her voice. "Are you really ready to turn your back on the Dark Kingdom..To confront the darkness in your own heart..Kyouko?"<br> <br>

She hesitates a moment before answering. "Kyouko.. I remember her now. I remember that I used to be her." She smirks, glancing back again, though its a bittersweet expression. "But it still doesn't feel like me. There's still.. something inside me that I have to get rid of before I can.. come back."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She turns then, and walks back to Sayaka, meeting the other girl's eyes. "There's still something I need to do. If I go back.. if I turn away from Apatite, I'll lose my powers again. I won't be able to protect you anymore. I think.. well, I think I chose the wrong path."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Another little laugh. "Shocker, I know. Story of my life." She's definitely sounding more like the old Kyouko, even in the way she talks. "But even if this is the wrong way.. I'm going to make sure we're both safe before I give it up."<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her face softens slightly. "But I promise.. I'll come back. Okay?"<br> <br>

"Kyouko..You know who you really are now?" She feels hopeful that all that yelling might have finally got through to her..But it's true, Kyouko does have something dark inside her. She's been infected by the Dark Kingdom, somehow. Sayaka's sure of it. Surely, not all of her actions were of her free will.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her gaze softens, peering intently into Kyouko's eyes as if to mirror Kyouko's own when she says there's something she needs to do. Oh no..Sayaka remember the last time Kyouko said that..And it nearly got her killed!<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"Kyou-chan..." she murmurs, taking a step closer. She asks, and can't help but laugh just a little bit. But then she reaches out and puts her hand on Sayaka's shoulder, and gives a firm squeeze. "I'll come back to you. I promise." And then she's turning away and walking towards the entrance of the alleyway. "I just need to make sure we'll both be safe before I do." And then she's gone, disappearing into the crowds of people as they walk by.<br> <br>

Sayaka smiles a bit sadly as she watches Kyouko walk away, trying not to cry. Because, hey, that'd be pretty silly and weak..Wouldn't it? Of course she's gonna come back..Right?<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Even so, her fists clench into balls as she watches the Red head take off, eyes narrowed.
