She often is, when she's not hunting Witches or stirring up trouble or any of the other stuff she does on a daily basis. Unlike a lot of people she knows, she's on her own, and doesn't have much money. If she wants to keep eating without stealing and pay rent on her tiny-but-livable apartment, both important steps in her 'be a better person' plan, she needs to work a lot of the time.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She doesn't mind it, though. She actually kinda enjoys it. The lady who owns the conbenie is old, and so Kyouko ends up actually doing a lot of the work to keep the store running, and she finds it satisfying. She's never been the 'brainy' type, and this is a job she can do where she feels like she's accomplishing something, helping somebody out, and providing people with much needed snacks and lottery tickets at the same time!<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That 'Last Chance Dance' is later today, though, and she's thinking about showing up. Not that she's that fatalistic about Walpurgisnacht, but there's always the chance... she wants to say something to Mami, in case she doesn't get the chance later. Expressing her feelings has never been easy for Kyouko, and she's dwelling on it a bit, kind of dreading it, when she gets the text from Usagi asking to meet up after she gets off work.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That makes her smile, at least, and she promises to meet the girl on the street corner near her conbenie, which is on the way to the park where the dance is. So, after she gets done at the shop, she heads in that direction.<br> <br>

After all, the ''best'' part about getting someone a gift is seeing their reaction to it. And the suspense on whether or not it would be liked has been gnawing her leg off! Clean off! Like a very gnawed on leg!<br /><br />So she waits, bouncing in place, shifting from one foot to another as a rather hoity toity Paris shopping bag sways from her wrist and the two cups of cocoa in her hands are in danger sloshing out the tiny little holes on the lids.<br /><br />When Kyouko comes into view, Usagi ''beams'' and goes to wave, but alas her hands are full, so she settles on a body wiggle. It feels really soft and nice in her hands, but at first she's not sure what it is. Then it unfolds and drops open, and she can see it's a coat, holding it up in front of her. It looks like it'll fit, alright!<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her eyes widen and she stares at it for a moment mutely, her mouth open. Then her eyes fill up with tears. "Wow.." She breaths.. "It's beautiful.." There's almost a subtext of 'too beautiful for someone like me' in there, but that remains unspoken.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A moment later she hugs it to her chest. The grin she gives Usagi is a little stunned, and her eyes glisten. "Wow! It's awesome! I love it!" She exclaims.. then she reaches out and thwaps Usagi lightly with the back of her hand. After a moment she pulls the coat away from herself and swings it on, sliding her arms in and buttoning up the front. It does fit! "How does it look?"
