Desparaia, the leader of Nightmare, seeks the Dream Collet in order to gain immortality and bring despair to all the world. To this end, she has invaded and destroyed the Palmier Kingdom, searching for the Collet and the fifty five Pinkies needed to make her wish into a dark reality. Coco, a refuge from the Palmier Kingdom, comes to Tokyo in his own bid to collect the Pinkies, and use his wish to save the Palmier Kingdom. While doing so, he comes under attack from an agent of Nightmare - and is defended by a young girl. This act proves the strength of her heart, and gives her the power to become a legendary warrior - a Pretty Cure! Now, as she seeks friends and allies, the forces of Nightmare continue to seek the Pinkies for themselves.
