Hi, Mom!
Date of Scene: 09 January 2017
Location: Naru's apartment
Synopsis: Kyouko meets Naru's Mom the morning after the Witch fight.
Cast of Characters: Naru Osaka, Kyouko Sakura

Naru Osaka has posed:
It was late by the time Kyouko and Naru stumbled in to the Osaka apartment, and with much shushing and exhausted shuffling, bed was really not far behind. There was healing, enough at least, but sore and fragile and tired and energy levels and bodies needed sleep. Much sleep.

Less sleep for Naru than for Kyouko, however, and early morning tendancies are hard to break. It's basically a miracle that Naru can manage to acquire her phone without waking Kyouko up, bother people by text without waking Kyouko up (at least she muted her phone, text message bings are not kind to sleeping people), take a photo without waking Kyouko up and eventually manage to acquire her sketchbook and be settled in to draw without waking Kyouko up.

There are absolutely the sounds of someone puttering around the apartment outside the closed door to Naru's room.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko had been told not to move the damned arm. She was familiar with her own healing capabilities, and knew it would be better by morning, but when they had arrives the previous night you can add 'in a decent amount of pain' to that list for Kyouko. There had been less 'falling asleep' and more 'passing out', with her arm carefully laid across her. Luckily, she had been wiped out enough that her usual restless sleeping had even been reduced to occasional mild shifting.

And yes- generally she sleeps less than average. This time, she slept a good, 9 or 10 hours, and even with Naru moving around her, she barely budged. It's only as the clock is ticking dangerously close to mid-morning that she finally shows signs of wakeful stirring. A few shifts, a soft groan, and scarlet eyes flicker open, staring blearily at an unfamiliar ceiling.

The pain is gone- her arm is all better. Her Soul Gem shines bright red, untainted, from the silver ring on her finger. Puella really are masters at bouncing back. She has a clear moment of 'where the hell am I' as her brain works to orient itself, her body tensing noticably, until she clearly remembers and sags back agsinst the covers. "Nngh.. holy crap.. what time is it?" She asks muzzily, sitting up.

She has impressive bed-head. Her haircut is not kind to sleeping in one position all night.
Naru Osaka has posed:
Naru looks up from her sketchbook at the sounds of Kyouko stirring and reaches a hand out to touch her arm, although it's not as if they aren't well tangled already. Naru's bed is really not big enough to support even two fairly petite girls without being close.

"Nine thirty four." Naru answers with the sort of specific certainty that says she's checked recently enough to be confident. "How're you feeling? I was going to poke you at ten and ensure you actually /could/ wake up." She adds after a moment.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko's eyes track over towards Naru, blinking at her blearily a few times. The touch on her arm is rewarded with a slight lean into the contact, though her brain is clearly still in the process of booting up after being in safe-mode for the past half-a-day. "Um.. fine.. I think."

Experimentally, she stretches out the previously-injured arm, rotating it and flexing the elbow, then nodding her head. "Mmph.. yeah. We're good. Everything's working. No pain."

Then she snorts softly. "I ain't gonna die in bed, Naru, you can be damn sure of that. Probably the one place you don't have to worry."
Naru Osaka has posed:
"Well I was less concerned, honestly, about you dying in bed and more that at 10, if you weren't willing to get up, I was /totally/ getting up without you before I decided to gnaw your freshly healed arm off." Naru grins at Kyouko. "I think we've covered that gnawing one's own limbs off isn't very effective for hunger."

Yep, someone's awake and has been for a while.

"Also, unless you are fleeing out the window, you will be meeting my mother." Naru adds as if this is /totally/ no big deal at all.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
"Mmmn.. fair enough." Kyouko says, arching her back, which results in a mildly-distressing 'pop'. "Damn, I haven't slept like that in.. I can't even remember how long." Maybe Naru being there had helped her stay asleep, as well, which in this case was probably a good thing for her healing.

Then Naru casually mentions 'meeting her mother'. Kyouko freezes in place with a very definite 'deer in headlights' look. As she does so, the sounds of that someone moving around the rest of the apartment seem to sink in, and her eyes dart towards the closed door for a moment.

"Um.." Then they dart back to the window. As if she's seriously considering it. "Your.. mother?"

She actually shifts in the bed away from Naru slightly, as if she can feel the disapproving gaze she imagines directed her way through the wall. "Does she.. know about me? About us I mean?"
Naru Osaka has posed:
"I pretty much expected everytime I moved, that you were going to wake up." Naru comments, watching Kyouko stretch. "It was a surprise when you only mumbled a bit and rolled over when I got my phone."

"Yes. My mother." Naru flickers a smile at that paniced expression. "The other person who lives here. Really, the person who lives here and I live with her, I think is probably more technically correct."

Naru reaches a hand out, setting her sketchbook down on her pillow, to keep Kyouko from getting too far. "Kinda? I mean.. yes. She knows about you, and she knows there's an us. She's .. I'm not sure how /seriously/ she takes there being an us, but she knows about it." She pauses a moment and then thinks to add. "She didn't like.. freak out or anything. Surprised a little, but no more so than about anything else I tell her, really."

The lives of fifteen year olds, even sixteen year olds are pretty much opaque mysteries to most parental figures, and Mayumi Osaka is no exception there.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Naru's hand, regardless of where it lands, stills Kyouko's panicked attempt at flight, even if it was doomed to failure from the beginning, and after a moment she relaxes slightly, at least enough to shift against Naru under the covers. "You're her kid, I think you can say you live here.." Kyouko mutters, clearly still processing what she has just been informed is about to happen.

It's obvious the idea makes her nervous. Parental figures, perhaps understandably so, loom rather large in her psyche due to the tragic circumstances that befell her own family. But it's equally true that she realizes that she can't make this thing 'real' and avoid meeting Naru's mother, who is very much a part of Naru's life, forever.

The moment when she decides, 'probably better just to get it over with' is obvious in the set of her face. "Does she know I'm here now?" She asks after a moment, sliding away from Naru again, but this time just to get up and out of bed.

She looks down at herself. "Um, also, can I borrow some clothes? Meeting your mother in sleeping attire is not.. exactly my preference."
Naru Osaka has posed:
"I left a note, so yeah." Naru nods. It wasn't much of a note, and Kyouko was entirely too out of it painwise to have even noticed Naru scribbling a quick note and leaving it on the counter.

"You can totally borrow clothes." Naru nudges softly as she crawls over Kyouko to get up herself. "My jeans are not going to fit you.. but leggings or sweats or pjs would." They aren't that different in size, but skinny jeans are not the most forgiving of clothing for even minor changes of size. "I'm assuming you have no desire to end up in a skirt."

Naru has been on enough shopping excusions with Usagi and a privledged enough background that she has /more/ than enough clothes to give Kyouko options. Lots of options.

Naru pads back over to where Kyouko is and reaches up to settle both her hands on either side of her face, leaning in for a gentle kiss. "It'll be fine."
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
"I'm not totally against skirts, you know," Kyouko points out, making a bit of a face. "I do own a couple. It's just usually not my style, that's all. I have worn them on occasion." Yeah, jeans wouldn't work- Kyouko is only a few inches taller than Naru, but most of that is leg.

She pauses, looking hestiant. "Um.. what do you think would make the best impression? I mean.. I have the jeans I was wearing yesterday, obviously, but they're.." Dirty from sprawling on an alley floor and possibly bloodstained? Yeah, not the best bet.

Panic is again forstalled by Naru's hands on her face, and lips brushing hers. She returns the kiss, relaxing slightly, then draws in a deep breath. "Right. First, pants. Then, good impressions. I can do this."
Naru Osaka has posed:
"Love. You're only half awake and you stayed over. Pick something that you will be vaguely comfortable with and then we can get some breakfast." Naru pauses and then adds. "If she offers eggs, don't go there. It isn't pretty. Toast and cereal are safe bets."

There is a reason why Naru is a pretty good cook, and her mother's cooking is exactly that reason.

Naru drags out a pair of leggings for herself and tosses another pair AND a pair of casual lounge pj pants at Kyouko to give her a choice of two. "Pick one. You'll be fine, but I swear, I'm soon going back to the gnawing your arm off option if you dont decide."
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko continues to visbly fret once Naru walks away from her. This is sooo the part of life she isn't very good at. However, reflexes kick in and as pants are tossed at her, she catches. She eyes them, then goes with the pj pants- somewhat baggy clothes are definitely more her style, especially when she wants to feel slightly relaxed. Every little bit helps, here.

Shirts are easier- farbeit for any teenage girl to not have some oversized t-shirts laying around, which means Kyouko can pilfer a plain one and know it will fit. She glances at herself in the mirror.. and looks mildly horrified. Not because of the clothes, but because of her hair, which she frantically attempts to put into some degre of order. She succeeds, at least as far as her hair generally looks artfully mussed anyway.

She sucks a breath in. "Okay.. I think I'm ready. Am I ready?" She glances to Naru for confirmation.

She definitely looks like she just spent the night in Naru's room. But at least she's clothed and mildly alert-looking.
Naru Osaka has posed:
There is a good theory that t-shirts breed when one isn't looking, and that's certainly borne out by the t-shirt drawer. Baggy, fitted, plain, with logos of races or festivals or sports brands. There's options for shirts.

Naru considers Kyouko and her delightfully rumpled self and moves back over to steal another kiss. "You're /fine/." She declares before only a few steps lets her open the door and release the pair of them out into the wild!

Or at least into the bedroom hallway that leads into the living room.

"Morning!" Naru calls as warning as she heads towards the kitchen. It is much easier to be relaxed and comfortable when its your own house, and any nerves about Kyouko are well hidden.

For her part Mayumi Osaka is at the table, working. She's got a cup of tea, and her plate looks like its got toast crumbs remaning as she taptaptapclicktaps on her laptop, working in some sort of spreadsheet doing arcane things with numbers. She looks up at the sound of emerging teenagers and smiles. "Good morning! I was wondering if you two were going to sleep all day."
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kisses help. Unfortunately, they are likely to be fewer in supply once in front of Naru's mother, which means Kyouko will take what she can get now, before the door is opened. And.. then it is.

Naru just walks out, casual-as-can be, and probably expects Kyouko to follow her. Which she does. Slowly. And she has that wide-eyed 'oh god' look on her face again.

This is likely a side of Kyouko that Naru has yet to encounter, because it's the side of Kyouko reserved for really wanting to make a good impression while totally out of her element, which is something that just doesn't come up that often in her life.

The result is that as Naru enters the living room, should she look back she'll find Kyouko hanging back in the doorway, half hidden behind the wall. "H-hi. I mean.. good morning." She offers after a moment, fidgeting with the hem of her borrowed shirt.
Naru Osaka has posed:
"You girls got in late!" Mayumi comments, just a shade distractedly as she continues along the train of thought that she's on. There's no reciminations in her tone, just a fact. "I'm not surprised that you slept in this morning. I'm headed down to the store soon." She comments, finally looking up at Naru and the suddenly shy Kyouko.

If anyone had ever wondered where Naru got that bright warm smile from, it is no longer a mystery. Mayumi's warm and welcoming smile is a mirror of her daughter's, although she does have dibs on it. "I promise not to bite, you must be Kyouko." She reaches to close her laptop lid, reaching for her tea and watching the wide-eyed redhead. "Did you sleep well?"

Naru glances back to the pod person who has inhabited her girlfriend and there's a little quirk of an amused smile as she pads her way to the kitchen to put the kettle on. Coffee for her, tea for everyone else. "We're probably going to go over to the boys' apartment later, cause we've basically declared one room to be just totally study zone." She warns her mother as she finds herself a banana and then reaches for an apple to throw to Kyouko.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko is looked at, and suddenly feels every inch the mildly-dishevelled, generally unrespectful miscreant that she is. She shifts from bare foot to bare foot, no doubt reading all sorts of completely-inaccurate subtext into Mayumi's words, flicking her gaze up, then quickly back down again. "Um.. yeah." Did she sleep well? Oh god, how is she supposed to answer that? 'Yes, your daughter is very good at cuddling?' Panic!

"N-no!" A beat. "I mean, yes! Yes.. sleeping. There was.. a lot of sleeping." She finishes lamely, feeling her face starting to turn red, entirely because of her stammering. Then she thinks that Naru's mom might see the blush as for another reason (totally inaccurately, since Kyouko was far too unconscious last night to get up to anything unseemly). That thought makes her blush even redder. Oh god, it's a disaster.

Luckily, Naru throws an apple at her. The unthinking part of Kyouko's mind always on the alert for threats causes her hand to snap up and snag the apple out of the air smoothly, and before she can think too much more, fangs sink into fruit with a satisfying and delicious crunch.

Her eyes close and she takes a deep breath. Food makes her feel better. Slowly she makes her way into the room more fully.
Naru Osaka has posed:
"Hopefully you kids will actually get some studying done amongst the gossiping and goofing around." Mayumi comments with few enough illusions about a pack of teenagers and studying. "Has Usagi hit panic yet?" She clearly also has few illusions about Usagi's study skills either. She reaches for her tea, taking a sip and finding it cold. "Can you put the kettle... oh. Thank you dear!"

And then Mayumi's attention is back on the blushing and stammering Kyouko who is contentedly chomping on an apple. Good healthy eating habits! "Oh good, I had hoped that I wouldnt wake you girls with my puttering about out here." She nudges her tea cup aside, cold tea isn't worth the drinking, not with hot tea in progress. "Naru tells me that you're working to support your younger sister rather than sitting exams. That has to be difficult, not being in the same class as all your friends."

Naru manages, somehow, not to facepalm at Kyouko's comments and blushes, hiding her giggles in the fridge as she goes looking for breakfast. "I'm going to make scrambled eggs, does that sound okay to you, Kyouko?" She knows full well that Kyouko's food preferences are 'yes', but an easy question sent in her direction seems like a mercy right now.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko is, slowly but surely, making her way towards the table where Mayumi is sitting. Chomping her way through the apple is a bit of a merciful distraction, as is Naru's call from the kitchen. "Um.. yeah sure, eggs would be great." She calls back, flashing a brief smile towards Naru that the girl may miss completely with her head in the fridge.

Then she's nearish the table, and she stops. The apple is almost gone, and Mayumi is asking about her sister. It's patently unusual for a girl of Kyouko's age to be working (she has a fake ID which says she's older than she is), but apparently Naru has already told it the way it is, so to speak, which at least removes the undoubtedly catastrophic idea of Kyouko trying to come up with a convincing lie.

"Yeah.. well, y'know." She says, with a shrug, her street accent sounding all the more noticable in the relatively well-mannered company of Naru and her mother. "I'm just grateful to be able to support her. It's difficult, but it's a good difficult.. cuz at least it's workin'."
Naru Osaka has posed:
Naru peeks over just in time to get the smile and offer one in return before she settles to making breakfast. Tea first as the kettle clicks and she contently bustles about making a pot of tea and bringing out two mugs and the pot to the table. Not only is Kyouko going to have to make conversation, but share tea. As Naru turns, her back momentarily to her mother, there's a blown kiss and a grin.

"Mom? Do you want eggs as well?" Naru asks as she heads back into the kitchen.

"No thank you, I had toast." Mayumi declines the offer, reaching to pull the fresh mugs closer and sniffing at the fragrant steam coming from the tea pot as it steeps. There's a little nod to the second mug on the table, at least if nothing else, Kyouko is a tea drinker. "Well, I'm sure you've had more than enough comments about how important education is, but there's a lot to be said to your willingness to give up time now to be there for your sister. How old is she? She was alright last night with you two being here?"
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko absorbs the blown kiss like it were a lifeline, visibly stiffening her spine. She goes so far as, when Mayumi nods at the second mug of tea, perch herself on the very edge of one of the other chairs- although it's the one farthest away, if she can manage it. Unthinkingly, she performs her usual ritual with her apple- once it's down to the core, she bites the core in half, and then eats both halfs. This is Unusual. It is done without even considering that. Never waste food.

Hands wrap around the mug, absorbing wamrth. That is mildly soothing at least. As time passes and Naru's mother does not scream at her or make too many unhappy comments, she seems to be relaxing a little bit, enough to actually glance up and meet the woman's gaze for a moment, as she nods her head. "She's.. thirteen." She almost said 'eight', but luckily caught herself. "Yeah.. I don't like to leave her alone too often, but she's okay for one night. I have a whole gaggle of brothers-" A pause, "Adoptive brothers.. they're like brothers to me. Anyway, they live just upstairs. They keep an eye on her for me, an' I trust them."
Naru Osaka has posed:
In the grand scheme of odd quirks from the punk kid that Naru has brought home, Mayumi watches the apple eating and decides to drink her fresh cup of tea rather than comment. It could be so much worse. There's no screaming, no accusations, not even any threats about dating her daughter. "Oh! So not too big an age gap between you two. That's nice. Easier than if you were trying to keep track of a toddler or something."

"I've heard a lot about those boys upstairs." Mayumi comments with a little smile. "Naru and Kazuo did dance classes together, which was so nice of him to agree to. I know Naru really enjoyed them." She might be largely absent, but her expression is clearly fond of her daughter. "How about yourself? What are your hobbies?"

The sounds from the kitchen sound like Naru isn't exactly rushing to get breakfast together, although the smell of coffee is starting to drift through the air.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
"No, yeah.. we're.. pretty close in age. My parents have been.. gone.. for a while." Kyouko says, her mind racing in an attempt to say what needs to be said without straying into any territory that's too weird or uncomfortable. She does look pretty 'punky', at least compared to the people Naru usually hangs out with, with her short, somewhat wild hair and general demeanor, but..

The fact that she is so nervous probably does her more favors than not. Because it suggests she actually cares what Mayumi thinks- which a truly disrespectful person wouldn't.

Kyouko keeps casting these glances towards the kitchen, as if wondering where, exactly, Naru is and why it's taking so long. But she doesn't say anything to that effect, instead glancing back towards Naru's mother. "Nii-chan.. I mean, Kazuo is a life-saver. He's done a lot for me an' Momo, that's my sister, too." She pauses at the question of hobbies.

"I do.. martial arts." She decides on, as the safest answer.
Naru Osaka has posed:
"She is /awesome/ at martial arts." Naru provides as she appears with two plates and somehow managing to balance a cup of coffee for herself as well. One plate for Kyouko, one plate for herself and she slides into a chair casually.

"Oh! Oh that's delightful!" Mayumi looks genuinely pleased at the idea of a girl being in martial arts. "Good for you. Naru tells me that she managed to talk you into this triathlon foolishness that she's decided on. I'm just glad that they have a distance limit for you teens. It can't be good for you to do those crazy long races while you're still growing. Is this Kazuo going to do that race too?" She asks, curiously looking between the two of them. "He ran the 10k with you, right Naru?"
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko looks visibly relieved as Naru appears at the table. And with food too. Her two favorite things. She leaves off fiddling with the teacup, after finally managing to take a sip.. and actually cracks a smile as mother and daughter both declare happiness at her choice of 'hobby'. There's a little fang in that smile, but luckily Kyouko-fang is generally more cute than anything else.

"Um, well.." Kyouko says, distracted by eggs, which begin vanishing at an alarming rate that Mayumi likely has seen before only from Usagi- but at least that means she probably won't be too put-off by it! "She did.. I'm.. not sure how that's gonna go." She admits, some of her natural speed-rhythm returning as she feels a little more at ease.

"I don't really know how to swim very well, but.. well, I promised Naru I'd do it with her, so I'll try." A mild roll of her eyes, suggesting her lack of faith in her own abilities, before more eggs are consumed.
Naru Osaka has posed:
Both quantity and speed of food inhalation is accepted as normal, thanks to Usagi. Naru almost keeps up on quantity, although not quite, but she doesn't have anything the same skill at speed eating. "You'll be /fine/." She assures Kyouko at the concern for her swimming skills. "You can learn, it wont' be that bad. And the swim is the shortest section. Even you can flail for like 400 metres." She takes a sip of her coffee and grins brightly before going back to eating.

"Oh! If you girls are doing swimming, does that mean you're going to get a new swimsuit and get rid of that awful bikini?" Mayumi looks hopeful on /that/ front at least as she glances over to the time, evaluating how long she has to relax before heading downstairs.

"There is nothing wrong wiht my bikini, Mom." Naru protests with a rueful look that speaks to this being an ongoing and eternal debate. "It covers everything, and it's super cute."

There's a soft little harrumph from Mayumi which might possibly say volumes about her opinion on the bikini.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko gives Naru a glance which translates more or less to 'if you say so' on the subject of her being 'fine' with the swimming section. Then she nearly snorts eggs out of her nose as Naru's mother complains about the infamous bikini.

It takes her a moment to get her half-giggling, half-choking under control, and when she does, she's laughing outright. Okay, maybe it wasn't the most dignified thing she's ever done in front of someone she wanted to impress, but at least it might come off as moderately charming.

"You're the one who told me you can't wear a bikini in a triatholon!" She points out, grinning a patented Kyouko-Grin, her uneasiness momentarily forgotten. "There will definitely be new swimsuits."
Naru Osaka has posed:
"Just because it's not practical for a race doesn't mean it's awful!" Naru protests with a gesture of her fork, grinning at Kyouko as that charming grin emerges and some of the other girl's natural ease shines through.

"It's awful." Mayumi is quite certain on that point. "I mean just that colour /alone/ is bad enough, but.." She shakes her head a little, surrendering on the familiar dance of mothers and teen girls and bikinis. "I'm sure your new swimsuit will be very nice. The stores already have their spring lines coming in, it's a good time to be swimsuit shopping really." Not that athletic suits are seasonal, but the selection is better.

Mayumi gets to her feet and leans over to get a kiss on the cheek from her daughter. "It was lovely to meet you, Kyouko. I should get down to the store before they have to call up here in a panic about something." She scoops up her laptop in one hand, and her fresh cup of tea in the other and heads out of the apartment.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko blinks as Mayumi rises and prepares to make her way out of the apartment. She actually hops up to her feet and performs a mild bow, as if saying goodbye to her boss or something. "O-oh! Yeah! Nice to meet you, too!" She says hurridly, swallowing the last of the eggs out of her mouth. She peeks up only after the door shuts behind Mayumi, leaving the two girls alone again.

Then she slumps back into her chair, hiding her face in her hands for a moment. "Nnnngh." Muffled words emerge. "And you think fighting Witches is hard? I suck at being presentable, Naru." She peeks out from between her fingers.

    "How'd I do?"
Naru Osaka has posed:
"See ya Mom." Naru obliges with a kiss on the cheek rather than a bow and then waits to watch the door close and turns to where Kyouko has slumped in a heap of stress.

"Did you /actually/ snort eggs out your nose?" Naru has to ask, because it so totally looked like she had. She starts to giggle and her grin is brilliant. "You are totally presentable. You didn't swear, you didn't threaten to kill anyone, we didn't make with all the kissy face in front of her. It was great!"
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
"No!" Kyouko snaps, at the question about eggs. Then she looks to the side. "Well. Maybe a little." She hmphs softly, folding her arms over her chest in her borrowed t-shirt. "Well, I did try to be on my best behavior.."

A brief smile tugs at the corner of her lips, and she quirks a brow teasingly over towards Naru. "And no matter what you mom says, I think you'd look pretty good in a bikini. So.. don't throw it away, that's all I'm sayin'." A playful wink.

Then a nervous glance at the door, just to make sure Mayumi isn't still there eavesdropping.
Naru Osaka has posed:
A pause and glance to the door and ... No protective Mama bear storming back in for flirty comments. They're probably safe.

Naru starts to giggle even more. "I like my bikini! I'm not throwing it out. It just /is/ better suited to like.. laying poolside than actually /swimming/ in." She admits with a mischievous grin. "I'll show it to you sometime."

She considers Kyouko and then notes. "I'm pretty sure that t-shirt looks better on you than on me too."
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
"See, now," Kyouko says, feeling more at-ease as that Mama Bear fails to make an appearance, "Laying poolside is definitely more my speed than actually swimming, so if you wanted to have a competition at that, I think I'd be totally on board." No mention of whether she would consider donning a bikini though.

Then she blinks, looking down at the shirt. "It's a t-shirt. It looks the same on pretty much everybody." She looks up, and smirks. "I think it's just me that looks good, and you're getting confused. Understandable."
Naru Osaka has posed:
"See who can lounge best?" Naru asks with a soft giggle. "I bet you'd totally lose. You are not that good at sitting still." Not that Naru's really one to talk. She's just finishing up her eggs, that Kyouko finished inhaling (literally in some cases) already.

"T-shirts totally look different on different people." Naru protests. "Although I can't argue with /you/ looking good, regardless of shirt."
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
"Well," Kyouko admits, standing up with her empty plate in order to convey it to the kitchen (habits learned at the ECFH carrying over seamlessly to Naru's apartment, it seems), "You might be right on that count, but that don't mean trying wouldn't be fun. More fun than flailing about in the water for 400 meters, anyway." With a brief roll of her eyes.

"I think you are giving too much credit to t-shirts, but I'll take the compliment anyway." Kyouko response, with a flashed smile.
