196/Scorn and Sakura

Scorn and Sakura

Location:	Uminari City - Central Harbor
Synopsis:	Scorn meets Sakura on top of a rooftop while Scorn mopes. Adorableness ensues.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Moping on Rooftops as some sort of Dark Magical Girl. It's come down to this. Scorn has her hat off, holding it in her off hand. Her broom, with the raven feathers isn't anywhere to be seen. She's standing on the rooftop of a local bussiness that sells tourist trinkets. As rooftops go. It isn't the highest.

"Hey, Scorn." says a raccoon spirit perching on her shoulder. It looks like it's made of wibbly wobbly fire. "Whatcha thinking about."

"Things." she says.

"Awwww come on. It's gotta be more intresting than that!" says the raccoon. "Oh---are you thinking of that science guy again!?"

Scorn blushes. "N-oo! Just. I don't want to talk about it. Okay?" she argues with the shoulder perched spirit. "Yeah okay. I get it. But. You.. need to talk these things out. I'm sometimes confused about mortals, but I understand more than I don't!" it insists. "Don't let your heart become a bottle ready to break." he adds.

"Yeah..." says Scorn.

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
    Sakura's brother has awakened from his coma, but Sakura herself is still searching for the person who did it to him to begin with. She isn't quite so angry anymore, but... well, she needs to bring some finality to things. So, she's out flying around again on her Sealing Wand, wearing a cute blue witch-style ensemble that was of course provided by Tomoyo, with Kero following close behind.

They've been at this for an hour now, but just as Sakura is beginning to yawn, Kero lets out a noise that suggests he's seen something. "Ah! Sakura, down there! I think that's her!" the little plush calls up to her, and the young girl looks down to confirm it herself. Well, she doesn't have the crow with her, but that /does/ seem to be the same girl from before...

So, flying down to Scorn's level, Sakura takes a deep breath and tries to think of what to say. She wants to shout, to cry, to slap Scorn, she wants to do a lot of things. Instead, she just sighs and says, "Hi."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Scorn senses something come up from behind, and she turns to face Sakura. It takes a moment for her to realize who this person is, because she also wasn't wearing a cute blue witch outfit. She blinks. Her expression seems neutral for a moment. Procyon- the raccoon spirt on her shoulder asks. "Do you know her?" Scorn nods a little. "Yeah...I..."

Then she shakes her head, now speaking to Sakura. "I... understand if. You want to hurt me. It's okay. I won't fight back. I deserve it."

Procyon blinks. "Like hell she will! I won't let her touch you!"

"Procyon... please. This.. this isn't. Easy. Okay?" Procyon just glares and crosses his arms in front of his adorable self... and dissapears into nothing.

Scorn just closes her eyes, she's expecting the attack.

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
    The attack doesn't come. Sakura is many things; a young girl, a Cardcaptor, the distant descendant of Clow Reed, and most importantly, a little sister. But one thing she is not, is violent. Oh, sure, she /wants/ to hit Scorn, maybe smack her with the Sealing Wand or kick her shins or something, but there's no way she would ever actually /do/ it. And as she regards the new familiar upon Scorn's shoulder, she realizes that something has /changed/ since the last time she's seen this girl.

Either way, Sakura's expression softens at the sight of Scorn simply giving up even trying to defend herself. If there were any shred of bloodlust in the Cardcaptor's heart, it's gone now. The hand that's raised toward Scorn is not one of violence and anger, but an offer of peace and, perhaps, a fresh start.

"I don't know what happened since last time, but my brother's back. It's hard to avenge someone who's alive and on his way to a full recovery." she says, while Kero lands on her shoulder to watch.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Scorn opens her eyes slowly. She blinks a bit. She takes Sakura's hand. Slightly. She looks down. "Corvus... tricked me. He made me belive that.. I could get a wish. If I collected enough energy to free him. But he was lying. He was just... using me. To free himself. I just... wanted my sister back." she says. "It wasn't fair of me to take your brother away like that to try to bring her back. I'm sorry..." is all she says.

Procyon appears on her shoulder again. With a first aid kit. Then he blinks. "Oh. Okay. Good. I don't need this then." he throws it over his shoulder. It clatters down on the rooftop.

Then she pauses. "I'm... Scorn. This is my friend Procyon. He's... one of the other spirits that were also trapped in a tablet. He's been helping me when he's able." Procyon adds. "Also, I am adorable."

Scorn just shakes her head in exasperation. "Um. What is. Your name?" she asks.

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
    Scorn's halting manner of speech comes across as strange to Sakura, but being tricked into doing such horrible things must have affected the other girl quite badly. Giving Scorn's hand a slight squeeze and a shake, Sakura nods and introduces herself. "I'm Sakura Kinomoto."

"And I'm Keroberos, the Beast of the Seal!" Kero pipes up from her shoulder, then stares at Procyon for a moment before asking, "By the way, what tablet would that be? I'm not familiar with you."

Ignoring Kero's attempts to socialize for now, Sakura frowns and says, "That's true. Causing others grief won't make your own pain go away. But it looks like you've learned that by now..."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Scorn commits the name to memory.... and frowns. As if senseing the wonderment. "I apologize. If I speak slowly and with pauses. I just Rhyme if I don't think about it and speak naturally. It's a side effect of Corvus, who also naturally spoke in rhyme." Procyon nods. "We're working on it. She just has to think hard before she says things."

Procyon looks at Kero and blinks. "Beast of the Seal? Not familar with that one. I'm kind of a weird demi-god... thing in a tablet. They're at a museum right now-- save Corvus's one. We're taking care of that one. We come from a different place, not this side of the world. The moving here broke the first layer of seal, so we can project ourselves out if we want, but still not. Be free? Yeah that's it. We normally just leave you mortals alone--but.. Corvus was just amazingly lucky he woke up first before the rest of us. So we had to get involved. Don't worry! Only Corvus was a jerk. The rest of us are pretty nice or at least. Not completely and utterly evil."

Scorn is silent while Procyon talks. When he's done, she speaks up. "I'm glad that... your brother is okay. Everyone should wake up soon. I made the tablet release all the soul energy I collected."

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
    Sakura nods with a little sound as if she's just discovered the answer to one of life's mysteries. "Ah! So that's it. I /thought/ I heard that bird talking in rhyme before, but I didn't realize it could have that kind of effect on people too." she says, then listens to Procyon's explanation.

Kero, after all that, rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Mmhmm, so there are a lot more familiars out there than I thought. The world really /has/ changed in the- hey! Who are you calling mortal!?" he growls, suddenly growing irritable as he shakes a paw at Procyon. Sakura, shocked by the sudden outburst, tries to calm him down for a bit until he's reduced to grumbling on her shoulder.

"I'm just glad everyone's okay." she says once that's taken care of, looking back to Scorn with a small smile. "We've all suffered a little, but I and many others have made it through with the help of our friends. Maybe once everyone's forgiven you, you can make some new friends too."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Procyon blinks. "Wooooah I meant like, your world at large. We don't like screwing with humans too much. Well. The others don't. I find you guys kinda fascinating. I'm not Scorn's familiar. That would be Corvus. Who is now locked back in his box. He's very bad at the whole familar thing. But I shouldn't need to tell you that." he says with a smile.

Scorn looks down. She does this a lot. Eye contact isn't her strong suite. "A lot of people... where there on the night Corvus had sealed. And they all wanted to help me. I felt bad-- even after. Attacking all those people. They still... wanted to help. I wish I could contact them. But I don't want to bother them."

"She thinks the guy in the hat is handsome. So she's a little shy about it."

Scorn huffs! "Not--not true! You little fool! If you say such things again, you will not mend!" she snaps out, clear as day. She blinks.

"Ah-- sorry..."

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
    Kero's attitude seems to improve a little after that explanation. "Okay, well, as long as we're clear on that point! I ain't no mortal!" he says, reinforcing the point. Then, shaking his head, he adds, "You're right there. That crow was /awful/ at it. Heck, I'd almost call him downright evil."

As usual, though, Sakura herself is only focused on Scorn. Nodding slowly during the older girl's exchange with the raccoon familiar, she finally sighs and reaches out, grabbing Scorn by the shoulders... and pulling her into a hug.

"It's alright, you know. They all wanted to help you, and I don't think that's changed." she says, letting the magical healing power of hugs do its work. "If you contact them, I'm sure they'll listen. They wouldn't put so much effort into helping you just to tune you out after."

Pulling away a bit to look Scorn in her eyes, or at least wait until Scorn looks up at her of her own accord, she smiles again and offers her immortal words of advice. "Everything will surely be alright."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Scorn is hugged. She blushes a bit at this. She hasn't been hugged for a very long time. Not since....

She just takes a deep breath. "I guess.. you're right." she says with as much as a smile as she can muster. It isn't a big bright one--but it is a smile.

She puts out her right hand and a broom just kind of forms. "I'm... going to go now. I think. I mean. I really haven't eaten yet-- and some other obligations I have to keep. I was just. Getting fresh air. When you found me." she nods. Pyrocon hops onto the back of the broom. "I'm not a black cat, but it's still fun~" he insists.

She looks back as she sits side saddle on the broom. "Thank you, Sakura. I hope, if. We meet in a hectic situation... I can help you.. instead of hurt you." she says as she begins to hover upwards and speed away towards the direction of Mitakihara.

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
Sakura Kinomoto lets go of Scorn, satisfied to have gotten a positive reaction. Even if she isn't a little ray of sunshine, it's still enough for Sakura. She nods in acknowledgement too, at the mention of needing food. "Nn, I should get going too, before someone notices I'm gone."

As she starts to float up into the air on her wand, she gives Scorn a wave goodbye. "See you later! And I hope next time, we can meet as friends!" And with that, off she goes too.
