Stargazing on the Night Before A New Dawn | |
---|---|
Date of Scene: | 21 February 2016 |
Location: | Pikarigaoka - Clover Tower |
Synopsis: | When you wish on a prismatic rainbow star... you might get smacked in the face with a magical cellphone... |
Cast of Characters: | Honoka Yukishiro, Nagisa Misumi |
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro is on the lookout point on top of the tower admiring the star showers. She sighs happily as she looks up at them. As she told some girls at school today who were commenting on it, shooting stars were not omens of ill fortune, but were considered a magical sign and people often wished upon them. She would never do something so foolish as wish upon a star herself, but she can enjoy the beautiful sight.
She sighs happily - though is a bit concerned. The meteor showers are different than prior ones she has seen - and the normal big one is in August. This one is... strange. She can't quite put her finger on it but they seem too bright, too colorful. But maybe she's just seeing things.
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi was one of the girls at school today. Thankfully she wasn't one commenting on bad omens. She didn't even know there were going to be meteor showers tonight! She is who caused the whole conversation to begin with. Her and her complete lack of knowledge when it comes to this stuff. Still the way the other girls were going on about it, maybe it was really something to see.
After getting home, eating dinner, and putting Ryouta into a Cobra Twist for coming into her room without asking, She headed out. If there was a show in the sky, Clover tower was definitely the place to go!
Quietly she arrives and gives a little wave to Honoka as she does, "Hey! Didn't expect you to be here. I thought you'd have telescope out or something to get a closer look!" She smiles and glances up at the shooting stars and her jaw just drops. "Wow! That is so cool!" She just simply admires them at this point. No wishes.
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro blinks. "I do have a telescope," she states, and indeed there's a case at her feet. "But there is a social aspect to watching the stars. Aren't they beautiful?" she asks. "I can enjoy this just like anyone else. Though I am curious. This meteor shower isn't like others. The stars seem a little too... colorful. A little too bright. But maybe I'm just imagining it."
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi looks at the falling stars and cocks her head a little, "It is really bright. Really colorful too. Aren't shooting usually white?" She asks curiously. Quietly she finds a place to sit down and enjoy the show. "Maybe its just a weird night you know? With all the crazy stuff thats been happening lately, is this really that weird?"
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro nods. "Indeed. But it only adds to their beauty. I do not understand how they have such light refraction across the spectrum. I'm glad I decided to bring my telescope." She opens it and starst to put it together, by touch, keeping her eyes up on the sky.
"So - I'm glad you managed to stay awake in school today. You really should try to allocate your time better." She continues to try to assemble the telescope by touch while keeping her eyes up as she sits next to you. "I said that shooting stars were considered omens. But... with stars like this - this could be the beginning of something incredible..."
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi smiles a little. Her attention does shift to the telescope and the fact that Honoka is putting the thing together without looking. How often has she done this to not have to look? She shrugs and returns her attention to the sky. "Maybe getting a closer look will help."
"I don't try to fall asleep you know. It just sorta happens. When I do an all night cram session it's hard to keep my eyes open." She rolls her eyes and simply quiets down for the moment. Then Honoka mentions that. "So you think things are going to get weirder?"
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro shrugs. "Things have been getting stranger and stranger of late," she muses as she finishes the telepscope. "Would you like to look?" she asks as she hands it to Nagisa. "You know, these stars - it's almost as if they're waiting for something momentous to happen..." She smiles faintly. "Like there's waiting for someone to do something..."
Honoka sighs softly as she leans back against the railing. "I have never seen shooting stars like this before, and they appear to be far stronger tonight then they were last night..."
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi blinks a few times, "Oh umm, Sure! I've never looked in a telescope before." she steps closer and looks through the lens. The flying meteors look even more amazing when you can see them a little closer. "Wait, waiting for someone to do something? That sounds really strange. Maybe they are waiting on you to play sports!" She giggles a little!
Nagisa just ponders the crazy phenomenon. She doesn't really get whats weird about it. What makes this meteor shower so special? "Maybe we just narrowly missed a collision!"
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro nods. "That is true - but if there _was_ something in the skies like that, I would've heard about it. I pay attention to stuff like that." She raises an eyebrow. "Perhaps they're waiting for the right person to make a wish..."
She shrugs. "I brought a tripod but since they're zooming all over the place it'd be hard to localize into one spot of the sky. What color are they, or are they like prismatic?"
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi giggles a little bit. "Really? Its not like that sort of thing comes true. Things don't happen just because someone wishes they might. Besides, Most everyone who is looking at this light show is probably making wishes. I am pretty sure the person in question has probably already made a wish." She smiles a little and then goes back to looking through the telescope.
"They are really amazing! I mean you I know what you said earlier. These are all burning in different colors! Shouldn't they be burning in like, fire colors or something." She hands the telescope back to Honoka and shrugs.
Hmm, There are at least two people who have seen this phenomenon that have not made wishes... Wonder what this means?
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro takes the telescope and looks up. She then blinks, lowers the telescope, blinking, then looks again. "Remember when I said that the ancient people saw shooting stars as a magical omen? That's because they didn't understand them." She then pulls out her cellphone and types in a few things.
After two minutes she puts her phone down. "Most of the time meteor showers are announced. It's obvious when tehy're coming. But this one - NASA was caught flat-footed. They have no idea - and they don't act or look like any meteorite I've seen beore. Maybe these are magical. I mean, you had that huge monster a month ago that spawned a hurricane... so anyting's possible. I still like to believe that these are a good sign - and the right person hasn't made a wish yet..."
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Meteor shower continues as the multihued meteors streak across the sky. "Well I haven't made a wish yet. I'll make a wish if you do!" Nagisa states and winks to Honoka. She then looks up to the sky and just continues watching. Already those wishes are starting to form in her heart.
Softly the red head makes a wish that actually stems from the heart. "I wish I could be the smart girl for once instead of the sporty one." Its little more then a whisper and hopefully goes unheard by Honoka.
Then she speak up. "Err I wish for good grades, I wish the guy in school and I would hook up and be happily ever after!. I wish for a lifetime supply of chocolate and other sweets! You are supposed to wish on each one right?"
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro smiles. "I wish for a true friend... one who doesn't just want to hang out with me because I'm the 'queen of knowledge' or because I'm pretty... one whose friendship is true..." she murmurs osftly. Her hearing caught that whispered wish. She looks up. "See anyting?"
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi shrugs, "Nothing much has changed. Still the same light show. Maybe it wasn't our wishes they were waiting for." The girl goes quiet for a moment. She simply watches but then something catches her eye. "Huh what is that?"
Its clear one of those colorful streaks in the sky are getting a little bigger, Is it getting closer? What in the world is that! Nagisa's attention is locked on it. She doesn't say anything about it but it's hard to miss where she is looking. And then... suddenly...
CRASH!
Right in Nagisa's face! She gets knocked back and lands on the ground. What looks like a cell phone drops to the ground and a number of cards go flying. The girl slowly gets up looking a little dazed.
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro squeaks. "Oh no!" she yelps as she checks on you, seeing the cards glowing for a little bit, then fading. A few of the girls are giggling at Nagisa. Nobody else seemed to see what hit her. She quickly picked up the cellphone and the cards. "Here - my place is only two blocks away. Let me take you there and check on you..." she states.
She then ponders. "Well - I guess I was right. It was waiting for the right person." As she prepares to help you to her house, she notes that the mulitcolor star showers, immediately, started to taper off from their fever pitch.
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi follows along with Honoka. She is in a bit of a daze after getting smacked in the face. What in the name of all that is holy just hit her. "That wasn't normal was it?" She asks. She doesn't quite know what to think.
She looks down at the phone looking thing and then at the cards, "What is this?" She asks and just shakes her head.
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro shrugs. "I don't know, but I picked all the cards up. They were still glowing." She then takes you to her place which was just two blocks away. As she enters her front yard, her grandma calls, "Honoka-chan, can you check on Chuutaro-kun? He's been acting very funny."
Honoka smiles, "Yeah, Grandma. One of my friends tripped so I'll make sure she's ok then check on the dog..." She then hears the dog barking and as she takes you towards a bathroom she sees a faint glow coming out from under a shed door. "Nagisa - do you see a glow over there?" she asks as she heads in the direction of the shed.
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi cants her head to the side as she looks over at the shed. Thankfully its not terrible. She's taken worse hits in Lacrosse. This though was all just really strange. "I think so." She starts moving towards the shed.
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro goes into the shed. "Nobody's been in here in years..." She stapes afew steps and acks. "Cobweb," she mutters as she scrapes it away, then finds a box, lovingly tied up with a ribbon. "Well... in for a penny..." she muses as she gently opens the ribbon and takes the lid off. "Nagisa... it's another cellphone... and another deck of cards..." She pulls the phone up. "Only mine has a blue frontplate and yours as a pink..."
- Nagisa Misumi has posed:
Nagisa Misumi looks at Honoka curiously and then compares the weird cell phones. Suddenly, her's starts moving and twitching. It quickly springs open and out pops what looks like a strange stuffed animale?
"MIPPLE!!! Mipplemipplemipplemipple-mepo! Wake up Mipple -mepo!" The weird fairy bounces around towards the blue plated phone thingy.
Nagisa on the other hand makes a funny face and simply, passes out.
- Honoka Yukishiro has posed:
Honoka Yukishiro just stares. "Oh my.... what is _that_?" she asks, not having any idea. "Your new cellphone is alive..." She just watches it freak out. "Don't tell me it's some kind of Pokemon."
Suddenly, Honoka's cellphone starts twitching, and turns into a little pink thing who was sleeping at first, then slowly opens her eyes, yawning and stretching. "Ummm.... Mepple?" she murmurs softly then she squawks as the other one jumps her and bounces on her. "You came... you finally came, Mepple-mipo... it's been so long... so very very long...
Not even the Queen of Knkowledge can figure this one out as she watches the hyperactive blue-yellow creature bounce with the slowly-awakening pink creature. "What."
