848/Shinobu out for a snack!

Shinobu out for a snack!
Date of Scene:	11 January 2016
Location:	Uminari City - Midori-Ya Cafe
Synopsis:	Shinobu goes out for some coffee/tea and meets Mara. Minako so rudely accuses Shinobu of things, but all ends well with pizza.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Another cold day here in Tokyo. Thankfully Shinobu hasn't needed to be out in it much. Nope School is back in session and that means she had to go through the embarrassing motions of being the new girl at school. She managed to get through and actually has finished her homework already. She will listen to her notes again later. For now. SNACK TIME!!! Rumor has it there is a really good bakery not far from campus. That means yummy sweets!

It took a few minutes to get there via bus but, Shinobu has arrived. She quickly makes her way into the bakery. The sweet smell of fresh baked bread is enough to drive her mad with hunger!

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara had just gotten out of school not too long ago herself. She doesn't have a club to attend at all, so of course, she is going to satisfy her overly obnoxious stomach. She wasn't too far behind Shinobu either, as she walks a short distance behind the girl. She wasn't followering her or anything, but just kind of there.

    Mara closes her eyes as she takes in the sweet smell of bread.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino is hunting down the girl from last night who somehow snuck into the very unguarded front door and into the very dangerous indoors. Stalking is a bit weird, so she doesn't accost her in places like 'home' or 'school'.

Pounding up behind her on the street seems much less intimidating and dangerous.

She's in her Sailor V disguise, so her face won't be recognized.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura continues to wait in line. Given the events of yesterday she does seem to be a bit on edge. Her head turns facing left, then right. Then she even turns around. Thats about the time she notices something a little off. One of the pillars of light she is used to seeing is in the wrong place. Her face scrunches up as she looks right at Mara's left wrist. She moves her staff to that side of the Queue and there is a rope there so, someone wouldn't be standing there. Plus its more concentrated. Not as much a pillar as a ball. She steps back towards mara. Walking forward she goes right smack into Mara's body. Down she goes. "Oh no oh... What OH MY GODS WHAT! This isn't right!" She scrambles to her feet. Suddenly Sailor V's job just got a lot easier.

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara just stood there as Shinobu bumped into her. She leans her head to the side a little bit, "What's up with you..?" She doesn't bother helping the other girl up at all, but just watches her. "Also, what isn't right?" She looks around a little bit at everyone around her. She crouches down to Shinobo, and grins a little bit, "That isn't what you say to someone you just bumped into... You are supposed to say, 'Excuse me, I am sorry." Whether Shinobu can see her or not, the look on Mara's face might scare a child away, and people are starting to look in her and Shinobu's direction.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V meanders over. She thought this Shinobu girl was suspicious, but this cements it.

"Stop attacking that poor girl!" she says, from way down and across the street, finger-pointing and everything! She's ostensibly talking to Shinobu, but it wouldn't be unusual for Mara to take umbrage. Some other person walking down the street also misinterprets the accusation, shouting he 'didn't punch nobody'.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura scrambles to her feet, grabbing her dark sunglasses which apparently fell off and picking up her cane. and putting the tip on the ground trying to get her position. "I... It's nothing! Sorry. Please..." A frown crosses her lips and then... She's being yelled at by a familiar voice. She turns her head to face that voice. She sees a golden light beam as opposed to yellow... "Are you kidding me. Look." She raises her hand and lets her cane drop. "I'm not attacking anyone!" She frowns.

Mara Brando has posed:
     Mara stands up with Shinobu, and tilts her head to the side a little bit. She would respond rudely to the Sailor V cosplayer, but goes with Shinobu's reaction.. "Oh...?" She glances over to the cosplayer and grins a little bit, "Stupid cosplayer, mind your own business. She bumped into me, and she already apologized." She reaches up to rub the back of her neck some..

    Mara looks back to Shinobu, "Anyways, move along in line.. I don't got all day, and I am hungry."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V snaps her eyes up. She hears vague shouting and sees the villainous girl through a... spear? Club? Some weapon at the other girl.

She would intervene, but the girl calls her stupid, so she lets her get hit once before stomping over. "Don't call people names."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura frowns and shakes her head. Grabbing her cane she makes her way out of the queue entirely stopping only a moment beside Mara. "Not a cosplayer." She quietly moves towards the Senshi. "Stand Down, Sailor V. I wasn't attacking anyone. I ran into her by accident. I'm blind." She sighs at having to actually say that.

Mara Brando has posed:
    "Huh? The real Sailor V?" Mara starts to laugh out loud, and it seems to be pretty loud as well. She steps to the side letting whoever was behind her go in front of her. "Thi... This is just too much.." She continues to laugh for a few more moments before she regains her composure. "Now, cosplayer that this blind girl thinks is Sailor V... Stop bullying this poor blind girl." She crosses her arms over her chest, looking pretty serious now.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V blinks her eyes, momentarily confused. She was about to ask how she could see if she was blind, but Mara thankfully interrupts her.

"Hey! Just because she is blind doesn't mean she's poor! Don't be discriminatory!" Sailor V says in her best superhero, authoritarian voice.

"She's a nice, friendly girl. We should be nice to her!" she adds.

Only when others in the crowd start being supportive of V and nodding their heads in agreement does she remember she actually came here to shake the girl down and do some rough interrogating. She partially regrets her words.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
"Dammit! Both of you, Outside." Shinobu has no time for your arguing right now! She carefully uses her cane as she quickly walks out the door to an area that is quiet.

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara closes her eyes and sighs a little bit. She doesn't need to be told to go outside, and Mara isn't the peaceful type either. She starts to march Towards Minako, "You said she was attacking me! Now you are saying she is a nice, friendly girl.. Make up your mind, you fake magical girl." She grins wickedly and starts to get a twisted chuckle going.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V makes a queer face. "Don't be rude. I don't have time for just rude. Either way, YOU make up your mind. Are you saying to -attack- her? You're gonna make a lot of people angry here..."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura is just outside the door and she can hear the arguing going on. She walks back over towards the two. There is a frown on her face as she raises the cane in her hand and slams it on the ground. It doesn't break thankfully but it does send a loud crack throughout the room. "Please come with me. This isn't right and you know it." She sighs. SHe doesn't know that Mara is a Puella. She does know that Sailor V is a Magical girl and this is all really not good...

Mara Brando has posed:
    "You wanna fight, Otaku? And I did not say I wanted to attack her." She narrows her eyes to Minako, then hears the cane hit the floor. She then turns her head to look at Shinobu, "Hmm...?" Mara's brain starts to work again, and a bit of reason hits her up side the head. "Fine..." She sighs and makes haste at leaving the cafe..

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V also makes haste to get outside first. "I don't want to see fighting. And SHE doesn't wanna fight. Don't beat her up!" she shouts, taking up a defensive stance. "Or else!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Once outside, Shinobu leans on her cane, "Oh my gods will you stop I'm not going to fight anyone. I've no chance against at least one Magical girl and an anomally. No offense miss but to me you are." She frowns. "Now can everyone please cool down? There is too much coming for us to be at odds." She sighs. Turning, she uses her cane in an effort to find a place to sit.

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara suddenly ignores Minako, "Anomally is what you call me..?" She narrows her eyes, "Maybe we should go someplace a little bit more private than here..." She glances back to Sailor V for a moment. "So you are.. Sailor V.. If she knows about me, then..." Mara seems to be a little bit more friendly, "Lucky day... Lets all go someplace private to have a chat."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V giggles and murmurs that Mara is an anemone, but goes on out.

"Sure, I'll come on out. But no harassing girls!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura sighs. "Finally." She rubs her head gently before continuing. We aren't far from Infinity. I have a dorm there. No roommate at this time so yeah lets go there.

The trip is relatively quick. Within about 30 minutes they are ourside of room 470. Shinobu unlocks the door and hits the light. The dorm is really bare. The only things that stand out are a bo staff by the door and a little radio. Thats about all. "Make yourselves at home." Idly she picks up the phone, "Hello Can I get two pizzas delivered?" She asks and then rattles off a credit card number and the address. Finally she turns and moves to a seat. "So who wants to start?"

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara stares at Shinobu, "I think you are the one that should start.. You called me an anomaly.. I suggest you start explaining something.." She glances over to Sailor V, "You're not a Puella, are you..?"

    "Also, why Pizza...?"

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V nods her head to Mara. "I am! And so much more! AND YEAH! I'm all for pizza," she says, not commenting on the weird long trip to weird Infinity, her not-favorite of all the schools.

"And yeah, you're an anemone. Picking on girls, making threats, insulting everybody. So mean!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
"First off, seeing as I sorta cost ya both stuff to eat I wanna make it up. Second, you wreck my dorm I'm going to be a little upset." She moves over and takes a seat. "Okay. First thing is first. I am not a Magical girl. I guess you could say I am strange." She takes her sunglasses off revealing her white eyes. No pupils. No color. Just white. There is also scaring around them. "I've been blind since I was eleven. Apparently, according to a recent acquaintence I have potential. That potential is the reason why I can," hand quotes, "see. I don't see the way you do. I see life energy and magic. For instance, I know Sailor V is the real deal because I heard you last night and I can see the color of your life energy. Powered up Magical girls show their main color on their life force. You're a golden beam of light to me." Then she turns her attention to Mara. "You are an anomally to me because your life force is off center. Its close to your left and more focused around your wrist. Its why I accidentally walked into you."

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara grumbles a little bit, "I was going to ask you if your were for some redecorating, but I guess that is out of the question." She glances to Minako again.

    She turns her attention back to Shinobu, "So you are more of an anomaly as well.. Whatever... You are a bit dangerous to have wondering around though... I wonder if I should take you to someone... She would have great use for you, and of course I would get paid lots for taking you to her, maybe.." She taps her chin a little bit.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V clucks her tongue a few times. "You should be more careful about identifying those things about yourself. Anybody out there could be a baddy," she comments.

"I'm a true hero to all the city and all girls, but not everybody is. Especially people who keep their insides off-center. That's just weird!" she points out.

"Anyway, who are you talking about going to? That's weird. I can take 'em out for harassing the good citizens of Tokyo!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura sighs Magically, she's not dangerous at all. Physically... "Right. Umm. No I'm not going to be taken out of my home to anyone. Yes I am an anomally but I dunno if I am like... wait you said puella? As In Puella Magi?" She flops back "Ugh! I am such an idiot." She goes quiet for a few moments before she comments. "V, I am very cautious about it. Its why I didn't mention it until we were here." *KNOCK KNOCK* "Someone wanna grab that?

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara shrugs a little bit, "Yes, I said, Puella as in PUella Magi..."

    "I think you should get that, Sailor V.. After all, you are the hero." She smirks a little bit not even looking at her. "I wonder if I should get a hold of Miss White then..."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V shushes at Mara. "Don't work for her. She's a monster who tricks girls into doing her bidding, then sells them to the baddies," she says, tisking a few times.

"Don't be naive. Also, you go get the door. You're the one who isn't putting in any money for it, so you can do the heavy lifting... unless it's too heavy. Just 'cuz I'm Sailor V, everybody assumes I'm the strongest!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura turns her head and stares blankly as though she is looking into a camera on the Office. "I got it girls." She grabs her cane and just closes her eyes. Making her way over to the door, she collects the pizza. "Thank you very much." One handed, she carries the pizza back to the coffee table. "There."

The girl frowns and sighs "I know very well what a Puella Magi is. It's been explained to me. If anyone tries to force me into someone that sells girls to bad people Well... We will find out how quickly I can call on someone." She hangs her head and then opens a pizza box to collect a slice. "Help yourselves."

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara's phone starts to go off playing nice little guitar rift from a rock song she really likes.. She answers it quickly, "Moshi-moshi~..." She nods a couple of times to the phone after answering it. "Sure, I'll be there as soon as possible. Ja-ne~" She hangs up the phone.

    "Well, that was work, I need to get going." She starts to walk towards the door after the pizza eating starts. "Time for me to get paid for doing fun things."

Minako Aino has posed:
"Where do you work? You don't look like the sort to have a job!" Sailor V comments. "You look like a schoolgirl, who needs to be doin' her studies," she adds, starting in on pizza.

"Don't eat and run. That's rude. You gotta stay and talk."

"And if you need help, just call on Sailor V. She's a hero and reliable. Friendly. Cute."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura doesn't stop Mara from leaving. She needs to go. This way she is less likely to get annoyed. hopefully. She turns her attention to V. "So your turn."

Mara Brando has posed:
     Mara waves gently as she walks out of the dorm room. She shuts the door behind her, and she is gone!

Minako Aino has posed:
Sailor V blinks her eyes, stunned, mouth full of pizza. "Right. My turn... my turn to what?" she says, slowly and difficultly through half-chewed food.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura looks towards V and sighs, "You were magically in the area when I accidentally bump into that girl. Your first instinct was to accuse me of attacking her despite the cane that is pretty standard for blind people. I am lead to believe you were there to find me."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V blinks her eyes, more confused. "Because you shoulder-rushed that mean girl and then threw your cane at her, you think I'm looking for you?"

She considers that for a moment. "Well, uh... I mean, I guess TECHNICALLY I stand for love, justice, and being courteous to people on the street. But that's sorta' not my usual level. I mean, it's still *wrong*, but... not really 'call Sailor V' levels of wrong."

"But I don't approve! Even if she was being a jerk... well, maybe a little. But not officially. I OFFICIALLY do not approve."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura takes a bite of her pizza, "Would it help you to know that I didn't try to hurt her? I thought I was getting past her. I thought she was standing further left inititially but that wouldn't be possible. I didn't know what to think she was."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V makes a few grrrr sounds. "Yeah. I believe it. She was sorta' a jerk. It was probably her fault. She sounds like the sort to go and harass girls."

"And if she's a friend of White, she's a bad person who I shoulda' attacked outright, but I guess everybody gets one free pass."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura shakes her head, "No. Remember. All hands on deck. Even dirty ones. Put it off for a month then you can fight with her till you're blue in the face. We are going to need everyone. Tomorrow night I am going to use the school radio station to put out a warning to evacuate.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V narrows her eyes before slowly standing herself up. "What the.. what are you talking about? Urgh, who invited you there? Who talked to you there?" she asks, phrased less as a question and more as a demand.

"No. It is not 'all hands on deck'. Eclipse is the enemy and needs to be stopped. The Dark Kingdom is the enemy and needs to be stopped."

"We do NOT speak a pretty speech when it is convenient for us to SOUND heroic, but immediately drop all of our morals and ethics the moment it gets a little bit tough."

She puts the pizza back down in the box. "Evacuate people if you wanna, but we're not 'working' with the enemies. The same enemies who are trying to kill good people. To kill innocent people. To kill ME."

"Who murdered my family and friends."

"You have no idea how hurtful it is to ask that of me."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura frowns and shakes her head. "I could say Hannah-chan insisted on me being there and brought me there for the meeting but that is not why I was there. I was there because before this week is out I got a choice to make and the more I see of the good guys the more I think I know what decision to make."

Shinobu is angry and it shows. "I get it. They are evil, aweful, terrible people who should be wiped off the face of the planet. I understand both you and the red girl made it clear last night. The problem is, If we get so damn wrapped up in fighting each other what is going to stop the evil that is slated to devastate Tokyo!"

"When the contract was presented and I was told I could be a magical girl. You know what I said? I said 'Wait You mean like Sailor V and the others?!' Funny how that works isn't it?" She goes quiet and eats her pizza.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V snaps her fingers a few times. "Don't... don't listen to that. The enemies are ALWAYS saying you have to compromise your virtue to succeed," she says, frustrated.

"'Sailor V, if you just drain a few victims, not even to death, just halfway, you could stop more crime.'"

"Sailor V, why don't you just help me steal from people. We'll hurt less people with your help and I'll give you half the money to stop the REAL bad criminals.'"

"Sailor V, just tell us a few weaker, useless magical girls who we can kidnap and in exchange I'll sell out some of the people you're after.'"

"You can't pretend to be a good guy and immediately start doing the same stuff the bad guys are doing because it makes your job easier. It's hypocritical and it's doing the *exact* same actions that I'm fighting against," she stresses. "I know it sounds easier... it IS easier. But I gotta' be a good role model, not start workin' with criminals and breaking laws and doing bad things just 'cuz it might be easier!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura shakes her head, "For anything else I'd agree with you. This is life and death. That makes things a whole lot more difficult. Either way. Thank you." She frowns and just gets comfortable. "I don't have many friends. I can list them on like one hand. If this is what it takes to keep those handful of friends safe, Then Its worth me accepting the contract. I don't care if I die if it means others get to live."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V just lets out a little sigh. "Don't you see? EVERY temptation is life or death. Do you know how much richer, safer, and more popular I could be if I just said to myself 'just compromise yourself, do the bad thing this once?' Nobody would have even known," she stresses.

"And who is to say they're even telling the truth? You have one group who wants to subjugate all of us working with another group who wants to kill all of us trying to convince the good guys to stop fighting them, trust them, turn your backs for just a little bit..."

She just gets mad. "Everybody gets all stupid when somebody says stuff like 'I will die for others'. My opinion is express your opinion but let people make their own choices, even stupid choices. But it would be hypocritical for ME to say not to do it. Just think about it and measure what good you can do and D it."

"But, arrrrg. Don't make your first act as a magical girl be to work with the enemies. If you are an 'enemy', it's something you can't just shake by doing a good deed or saying 'oh but this time it was serious'."

"I'm just saying I don't want MORE enemies in this world, understand?"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu snaps back. "ITS BETTER THEN LETTING MY FRIENDS DIE!"

She hangs her head. Softly she speaks, "Maybe its me but I could hear it in Homura-sama's voice. She wasn't lying. Why would she and Mami-sama create that recipe for disaster in her own home? Why would she even think to ask those who are so dangerous to her door if she didn't believe this threat to be so demanding. Things don't add up V." Her voice cracks several times and her words are turning to sobs. There are no tears though. "I need to decide what to wish for. I won't be a victim. Never. That is the one thing my mom wished on my life. That I never be a victim. I've not been. I won't start now."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V purses her lips and balls up her fingers. "No, it's -not-. You can't think like that. There were plenty of times I lost a friend who I *could* have saved if I just let a family burn to death or let the bad guys have their way and harm a bunch of other people instead."

"Why would they work with bad guys? Maybe they think themselves too weak to handle the problem. Maybe they just want an 'in' with the bad guys? Maybe they're going to betray me or my friends once we're put in a bad position. You know, they say 'birds of a feather hang together, or they hang separately'," she quotes. "It means you can tell a lot about somebody by who they emulate. If you emulate criminals, you're a criminal. If you emulate killers, you're a killer."

She sits back down. "But look - once you start compromising some of your virtues, why not compromise ALL of them? It's easy to win if you're willing to cheat and kill and lie about it later. Winners write the stories, after all!"

She steals pizza again since she's decided to sit and talk.

"You want to be a victim? Start working with people who have bad motives. You want to be strong? Be so strong you don't need to be tempted to work with them. That's how I do it!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura just sobs at this point. "Do what you gotta do. If no one else shows up to fight that thing then so be it. I will fight beside those that do. I can't in good conscience do nothing when there is a warning of such a big threat. If everyone shows up and this thing they spoke of is a joke, Big deal, we pummel it then pummel bad guys. Nothing really lost. If they are right though and this thing is massive and dangerous... then we fight it and be the heros that are needed. After that... Either lick our wound or go pick fights with the buy guys." She sighs.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V claps and cheers. "YA! That's the spirit. Except... no wound licking. We're gonna get ALL the bad guys. Wall-purge-and-snatches, the other bad guys, criminals, mean subway riders... *all* of them."

"So if you need help bein' strong, stick with me! I got big ideals! I need people who can see that real well!"

Minako Aino has posed:
She adds she means that by 'see real well' she means 'agree'. "Like, you know, see what I mean. Figuratively."

Minako Aino has posed:
"But seeing literally is good too. I mean... so I hear."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura is looking really exhausted all of the sudden. "Yeah. Right. Fight em all. Its the right thing to do." The words are hollow at this point. She simple hangs her head. Her hand reaches over to the radio and turns it on. The sound of slow jazz starts playing.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V ; does her best to reassure you. "Don't worry about it. Cheer up! I'll... I'll help you be strong."

"A little bit of despair is ok. It won't hurt you," she says, well-meaningfully but probably not entirely accurate. "It's ok to be down. But you can be strong, too! It's *hard* once you hear how hard it is, but you be harder! The hardest! For real! I believe in you!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura shakes her head. "You don't get it. I can't cry. I want to. I am physically unable. Side effect of having been blinded." She sighs and shakes her head. "As I said at the meeting... I will do ALL I can."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V lets out a little gasp. "I never cry either!" she says, sounding all sorts of relieved. "Never. Not once. Maybe for different reasons, but I can understand."

She stands up and starts patting on Shinobu's back, all supportive.

"And I never said I didn't believe you. You don't have to repeat it to me. Just come on out and prove it. What will you do? What do you want me to judge you on?"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura sighs, "By the end of this week you will see plenty. I need to think. What is my life worth. I get one wish. I need to make it count." She shakes her head though. "No. I can't cry. When my dad spilled a chemical in my eyes it burned my tear ducts as well as my eyes. They can keep my eyes moist but no tears."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V gives a few claps on the back, then a few more traditional kinds of claps with her palms.

"I believe it. And I trust you, I really do. I promise to support you. If you want me, just give me a call! If anybody tries to stop you, I'll stick with you, I'll support you. I promise!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura shakes her head, "Sometimes the right thing isn't politically correct." She frowns. "I will do the right thing even if it's politically incorrect." She sighs.

Minako Aino has posed:
"I know. But don't confuse politically correct for evil. We don't work with evil," Sailor V stresses, very importantly.

"Not working with evil is different from never forgiving evil ever. Be forgiving and be willing to give second chances. But evil knows where we are. They know how to get us. They know how to fix things," she explains. After eating more pizza.

"The right thing is forgiving people and helping them get better... not backsliding on your vows and bringing yourself down to their levels."

"It's sorta' insidious, you know? Once you do a few bad things, it just makes more bad things become possible. Break more rules. Before you know it, you're killin' orphans 'cuz you need some bodies to put on a lawn so you can 'fight crime' somewhere!" she says. It's probably not a personal story.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura sighs, "You know what vow I will be making when I accept this contract? To fight and kill witches. No more no less. What I choose to do beyond that is my choice.
