Synopsis:	Rena makes a new friend who happens to have a fairy with her... not to mention a very interesting watch.

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    It was a pretty nice day in Seishou....and a few students had a free period to play around. Well, this caused a bit of noise in the music hall, if you call 'music' noise. Apparently a few of the musicians in the school decided to put up an impromptu jam session and, some actually sit and listen....others are trying to join in. There's one clear one that stands out in the whole group though, if one actually peeks in.

A blonde girl that is on lead guitar. Everyone gets their turn, but....it's quite clear she's a genius with music.....

Rena Sakai has posed:
"O, Wonder! How many goodly creatures are there here! How beauteous mankind is! Oh brave new world that has such people in't!" The girl's voice resounds around the auditorium. The Awe and amazement in her voice rings out true as Rena speaks the line from the current play. She is really into it and it shows. She's been given a shot at Miranda. The Lead. She would be content playing a villain but the lead would be nice."

"Well done Sakai-san. You are free to go for today. There are two others we are going to allow to audition. Good luck." With that the head of the Drama club just waves her off and calls in the next auditioner.

Rena quickly smiles and heads out. Floating behind her is Dabble. "That was really good Rena-chan! You were totally in the zone! Just don't let it go to your head though. You don't want to wind up with a cog on your head yourself."

"Don't worry, Dabble. It will be okay. I'm not going to lose myself. Its just a show." She giggles a little. Then she hears some music coming from the music hall. She quickly moves towards the hall to get a better view.

    The music teacher seems to be sitting there and listening as is the rest of the class, but for three kids. Two kids seems to be simply keeping a steady beat while the blonde girl is tearing it up on the guitar. She's having quite a bit of fun it seems too, since it shows on her face, but her cheeks are red from blushing. The 'song' as it were, seems to be purely instrumental, and gives a feeling of being on the beach during a summer's day, even surfing isn't out of the picture for this song it seems.

The song comes to a close a couple of minutes later, and the blonde sets the guitar down. "Thank you Kathy. That was wonderful. When did you learn to play the lead guitar?" Kathy blushes a little and....takes a deep breath. "uhm.....a few minutes ago?" The instructor looks at her wide eyed and she....does her best to appear small and walks her way out of the room...or tries to.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena just happens to be in the way, "Wow that was really good! You're awesome." She comments with a smile. She does step out of the way a little and then, "Would you like some cookies? I have some that I made this morning. They are white chocolate macadamian nut." She beams happily.

Dabble just giggles, "If you can't be skinny make everyone else fat!" the fairy comments before laughing her butt off.

"She glances up to the fairy. She of course doesn't know if this girl can see the fairy or not and she would much rather not seem completely crazy. "Hi, I'm Rena Sakai." SHe smiles and politely bows.

    The blonde turns towards Rena and blushes a bit redder. "I.....just wanted to jam when everyone in there. But, the more I played, the better I got and....well....you saw. I just hope I didn't push anyone out of the spotlight while I was in there. There were some really good students in the room." She then tilts her head at the offer of cookies. "Goodness no, I eat too many sweets as it is." She says before her head snaps up. "Jihl? What're you.....Oh, you're not Jihl. I usually don't see her until I get home." She then shakes her head. "Only been here a week and I need a drink." She says rubbing her face.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Dabble comes flying forward and seems giddy! "JIHL!!! I know her!! She is a friend! Can I meet up with her. Did she give you anything Miss?" She asks curiously before looking at Rena and then glancing down at the watch."

Rena gives a smiles, "Oh umm... okay, Its rare people turn me down on my cookies. But sure!" She smiles a little. Then she catches the look on Dabble's face. She begins looking to Katherine inquisitively.

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    "it's just not very often that people offer me cookies out of nowhere." The blonde then facepalms. "I'm sorry. Just flustered after moving here so suddenly.....I'm Kathy." She then tilts her head at Dabble. "You....know Jihl. Okay, so she's not an imaginary friend." She then shakes her head. "Parents have been trying to get me to fit in at school. I seem to stand out more often than not." She then looks back to Dabble. "give me anything? Mmmmm....not that I can remember." She then lets out a breath. "sorry, just......I'm really nervous at the moment. That time in the band room was a rare chance for me to cut loose while I was here." She seems to be stalling to figure out what Dabble's talking about. Meanwhile.....the music plays on....

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles a little more. "Oh Really, Where are you from?" She asks politely. Her mind is racing. She knows full well what this means. The fact that Jihl hasn't given her a watch yet means there is actually hope for her to have a much more normal life. Its something she doesn't want to take away from the girl.

Dabble seems to be of the same mind. She just smiles and lands on Katherine's shoulder. "Oh no. Not imaginary. She is very real. Just as real as you and Rena are. She is a refugee really. Don't worry. She isn't looking for trouble!"

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    "America actually, Dad was deployed out here recently and he brought us with him. But she's been with me for a long time now." Kathy then tilts her head. "A refugee? From where?" She then shakes her head. "Well, last I saw her, she was at home. But knowing Jihl, she could pop in any moment now." She chuckles a little. "She actually looks like someone hit with a shrink ray. Well....at least school's almost out. Come along with me, Rena? I could get some of your cookies while I walk."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles a little and opens her bag. She gets out a bag of cookies and hands them over. "I love baking. I do it every day." She gives a warm smile and follows along with Katherine. "<Welcome to Tokyo.>" She speaks in English. Her accent is some sort of hybrid between British and Japanese.

Dabble blushes a little. She frowns and speaks up again. "I umm, Well... We are from a place where these bad people have hurt everyone. I'm happy she found you. You seem nice." She floats back and whispers to Rena, "She's in danger. If Jihl's here, there is also another watch. Craft will find out very soon."

    Kathy smiles. "Thank you, Rena. And I do speak fluent Japanese. It's just......not quite as 'flexible' as my english is." It's then that she goes to get her bag and....suddenly appearing on Kathy's shoulder is....none other than Jihl! "I figured you'd be out of school by....DABBLE! Hey! What're you doing here?" She floats on over and gives Dabble a hug. Kathy however, does check the time. "Come on. If we go now, we can eat your cookies while heading for the comic book shoppe."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Dabble goes flying, "JIHL!!!" She quickly hugs her friend, "How did you wind up on Earth? I came here to find help and I found it! There is a problem though. I will let you know about it. Has the watch started ticking yet or no luck yet." Dabble asks curiously.

"Comics? I umm... DUnno very much about those. Thats an american thing I think. She comments as she thinks a little bit. "Is that like manga? I mean, Super heroes, "Wait is that like Mahou Shojo? Those are fun! Sailor V's stuff is really popular!" She starts excitedly. She is hiding something for certain. She doesn't want to reveal just what that something is just yet. If only for her safety.

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    "It's called manga here, and I've read Sailor V. She's pretty cool. Almost wish I could do magic. Almost. Seems like a lot of hassle for just a bit of showy effects." Kathy twirls a finger. "but then again, Looking at some of the concerts I've been to.....you put on a show..." She then shrugs. And she starts out of the school....tugging Rena along exitedly.

Jihl lags behind a little bit. "No, the watch hasn't started ticking yet, thankfully. Of course, I've kept it hidden and playing myself off as Kathy's imaginary friend for a while now.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai looks at Katherine. She's listening to Dabble and Jihl. She is quickly snapped out of her eavesdropping by Kat's talk about Sailor V. "Well, I dunno if I can imagine how crazy it must be." Because it's a reality for her! "Just to have to be out and fighting off youmas and other nasty things. Its a nightmare really. Everytime something bad happens they put their lives on the line and it often goes unnoticed."

Dabble flies up and whispers to Rena. Rena closes her eyes and nods. It is not an easy decision. Dabble quickly goes back to Jihl, "Get out the watch and take it over to Kathy lets see what happens! I found Rena-chan by total accident and I'm glad I did. Craft's here." She states and it is Ominous.

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    "Or they're trying really hard to keep it a secret and they use their powers to make sure things look normal." Kathy is....really excited now. "Okay...that doesn't make any sense. But then, it's magic." She laughs aloud.

"he's what!?" Jihl exclaims. "How in the....." She shakes her head. "Aw why not." She says as she floats over to Kathy and nudges her. "Keep this safe for me...wouldja?" Jihl says before she puts a watch into Kathy's hand. "Neat watch, Jihl." She says as she puts it on without thinking. Apparently she trusts Jihl implicitly.

The watch is ticking....

Rena Sakai has posed:
Mixed emotions. Rena is partially overjoyed! She's not going to be alone anymore. But her heart plumets. This poor girl's life just got way more interesting then she could imagine.

Rena reaches out and touches Kat's shoulder. " We need to talk." This is the most serious she's sounded thus far. She is worried. "Imagine a world where everything was wonderful. Everyone is content just to live their lives. Then imagine that someone came and took everything wonderful about that world and turned it into one big, nasty, evil coorperation. Everyone forced to work for this company. Anyone who stands against this coorperation is made a cog in their machine. Stripped of everything they are and used to continue production." She frowns a little. "That is what happened to the Fairies. Dabble and Jihl too. They are from a world called Gearwork."

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    "Whoever would go after Jihl? She's a sweetheart." Kathy says as Jihl lands on her shoulder. "Cog in their machine. If you couldn't see Jihl, I'd think you were nuts." Jihl's nodding her head at Rena though. "She's.....not joking? So....why're you telling -ME- this? I'm not anything really special."

"Actually Kathy.....yes you are. That watch you're wearing....only works for the Sentinels who are to wear them." Jihl explains to Kathy.

Kathy looks down at the watch on her arm and....back to Jihl. "I see why you didn't give this to me before, Jihl. You wanted me to keep with a normal life....didn't you?" Jihl nods....

Rena Sakai has posed:
Dabble nods, "She was protecting you, Kathy. There were people on our world. It wasn't just fairies. We worked with the Steam Stentinels. We created the Watches but they won't work for us. The Sentinels on Gearwork were defeated and forced to work for Red Tree. We escaped Gearwork with some of the watches. I was lucky to find Rena. She's Earth's first Steam Sentinel. You are the second one."

Rena frowns, "You can still back out of this if you want. I didn't have a choice. You do. You don't have to be a Sentinel. You can be a normal girl and just enjoy life. If you choose to be a Sentinel, Normal will go out the window." Rena comments. "I guess I should show you what happens if you so choose to do this."

Rena back up and looks around. The small group is alone. She nods to Dabble then raises her hand to the sky. "Aether Spirit, SHINE!" Immediately Dabble flies towards her and sets a watch face on her watch. Light floods the area as music fills the area.Her clothing is quickly replaced with something that looks much more victorian in style, "The fire which melts the coldest heart, Steam Sentinel JOY!" With a wink the sentinel smiles and sets down on the ground. The light show ends and she gives a little smile. "Hello."

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    Kathy stares in wonder as Rena changes into Joy and Jihl sits on Kathy's shoulder. Kathy smiles a little bit but she looks......really unsure of herself. "Rena....Joy...." She starts as she starts to take off the watch. ".....while I think it's amazing that you can do this....I would rather not." She says handing the watch to Jihl, and it looks like this decision is really hurting her." She then walks over and gives Joy a BIG hug. "Rena....Joy. I feel like I've known you before.....but....I just don't think I want to be a sentinel. it's hard enough being a teen, isn't it?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Joy hugs Kathy tight, "Its okay. Its your choice and you are free to say no. You are very right, it is hard enough to just be a teen. It is actually better for you to learn this stuff this way though. Its actually more fair to you."

Joy smiles and leans her back against a wall, proping her leg up on it. "When I became Sentinel Joy, I was at a show. One of my friends had sorta lost herself when she was trying to get the lead role. Craft showed up. He was chasing Dabble and wanted the watch. He is a very dangerous man. He turned my friend into a monster. Anyway I didn't have much of a choice. Dabble slapped the watch on my wrist when it started ticking and told me to follow my heart."

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    Kathy smiles to Joy and listens quietly. She makes a face and shakes her head. "Ugh. So you didn't have much of a choice....that stinks, Joy." She then blinks. "Wait...you said you were going for a part and a friend went for the lead role? You're in the drama club, huh?" She then grins. "I'll still hang out with you if you want, Joy." She says as Jihl puts the watch away and Jihl is smiling a bit to Kathy. "Let me know when the practices are and I'll watch....at least to cheer you on."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Steam Sentinel Joy nods happily, "Yeppers! I am in the Drama club. I was the villain during our last production. I'm trying for the lead this time. We do practices usually on Tuesdays after school." She smiles and strikes a pose, "Its fun though! It sorta helps with the whole magical thing because... PRESENTATION!" She smiles bright, putting her hand on her hip and bringing her other hand up near her face with the traditional two fingers near her eye fire seems to form around her for a moment.

"Anyway I didn't exactly get a chance to make a choice. I just got thrown into this life and once I really learned whats on the line, I couldn't turn my back on it." She smiles a little. "I am actually very happy for you. You get to actually evaluate your decision and make an educated decision as opposed to my split decision."

Joy's smile fades for a moment. "I do need to warn you though. Craft is serching for the fairies who escaped Gearwork. Jihl is in a lot of danger. You are too. He wants The fairies and the watches. If he gets them he will be one step closer to getting his goal which, gods only knows. I do know that with him here, it's only a matter of time until Red Tree decides to come here and do the same thing as they did to Gearwork."

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    "All right. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Craft isn't here now though, and Jihl's pretty good at hiding." Kathy smiles. "Before you start talking about Red Tree again and being a downer, how about we hang out?" She then smirks a little....and pokes Joy on the chest. "Which means, I want Rena to hang out with. Nothing agianst Joy."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Joy stage whispers to Kat, "Its okay I'm still Rena at the end of the day." She winks and laughs playfully. "No problem." She smiles and fire rises from her feet to her head in a matter of a second. The person left behind of Rena. No sign of her being anyone else.

"So, About that trip to the comic store?" She smiles brightly. Quickly she fishes out some cookies for herself and nibbles at them. "Villains gotta cause trouble, Heros gotta eat." She giggles playfully. "But yes I do Drama. I also used to do stage magic and sing, and all sorts of fun stuff. Honestly I want to be a baker when I get out of school but I also wanna act too! It would be fun!"

Katherine Tempest has posed:
    "I certainly hope so, Rena." Kathy says as she steals a cookie. "You could be an acting baker. I mean one thing that's all the rage appears to be the food network, where all sorts of shows are of chefs cooking and showing them on TV." She then munches the cookie. "All righty. Off to the comic book shop. Probably find some video gmes there too. I don't know much else about the city though. Show me around?" She says hooking her arm around Rena's.

Rena Sakai giggles and nods as she has a cookie stolen. Its not like she doesn't have more, amongst other things. "Oh sure thing. I can show you around. This city is great! We need to hit up Crown Center, They have all sorts of games to play, Dance games, And all sorts of stuff. Its fun. There is another one that is all ice cream and karaoke!" She giggles playfully. "Well lets get going!"
