Date of Scene: | 22 September 2016 |
Location: | Earth Court Frat House |
Synopsis: | Daisuke is called upon to be another healer putting Alex's arm back together, with Naru supervision, or just Naru hanging about. |
Cast of Characters: | Naru Osaka, Alexis Raskoph, Daisuke Hansuke |
- Naru Osaka has posed:
There was a night before. There was, honestly, not a whole lot of sleeping overnight, for a variety of reasons (few of which are really all that much fun, or come with recommendations.) Eventually there is a morning after, and beyond even that, an after school. Because some people in this situation actually do attend school now and then.
ECFH is as good a location than any, and better than most, to arrange to meet Daisuke for healing part two, and Naru heads back there after school. Her shoes divested at the door, her bag coming to get dropped by the couch as she pads barefoot in the apartment before heading to the kitchen to find a snack.
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
And incidentally, there on the couch, not far from where the bag was dropped, sits the very reason this whole scenario is taking place. Alex, with his arm in a sling and splint, slumped into the cushions and staring at the television with an utterly dull gaze.
He looks bored out of his *mind*.
"Hey, Naru," he calls to the redhead, though, and reaches his uninjured hand towards her for a brief handsqueeze before she's off to the kitchen. "Turns out the codeine makes me feel like shit."
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke looks down at his watch. Ah, it's time to meet Naru to see about helping his... friend? Boyfriend? He doesn't know, really, the relationship there. But he only has two seconds to get there from across town. No problem.
There's a purple flash that follows Daisuke Hansuke sort of just. Appearing, on the Balcony in his teleportation. He kicks off his shoes, then sort of pushes through the balcony door.
He gives a wave. "Hey Naru. Hey Alexis. So what exactly happened?" he asks as he places his hands against his hips a moment.
Alexis did not see Daisuke enter through the main entrance. "Fight? Accident? Usually, if Mamoru can't heal it all, it's a big deal." he says.
"So you know, the more I know, the better I can help." he says as he smiles to the two.
- Naru Osaka has posed:
A handsqueeze and a kiss as Naru is distracted on her way to get a snack by Alex being spacey on the couch, lingering there. She offers him a grin. "Lucky you! I don't think I've ever taken codeine, weirdly enough. Daytime TV is enough to make anyone feel like hell, codeine just helps, I would think."
And then there's the purple flash of Daisuke's arrival and Naru looks over to him with a smile. "Hey Daisuke. I think the technical terms Mamoru used was 'its a mess'. I'll let Alex explain, while I get a snack before I gnaw on someone. You guys want anything?"
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
Alex stares at Daisuke.
Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare.
"You know," he says after a moment, in deadpan. "I feel like I would normally freak out and be all 'where the hell did you come from' but I'm like, way too tired right now, so eh. I'll let it slide."
With a grunt, he shifts along the couch a bit, but soon enough ends up deciding to just stay slumped in that same posture there still, and chooses to merely point at the splint-ed arm with his uninjured hand. "Baseball bat. Something about bone splinters. I dunno."
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke just smiles. "Naru says that... you've been introduced to the weirdness. It's a lot to take in. Don't worry. I was a mess for a couple months when I found out and I'm 'weird' myself." he says softly. "Mainly, I just teleported to the Balcony from across town because that's how I like arriving here." he insists.
He walks on over and frowns a bit. "Baseball Bat splinters. Alright. So. Nothing 'magical', just 'mundane'. Unless you fought like. A Bat Monster or something." he says. "Like. Can you imagine that? A 'Vampire Bat'?" he says with a grin.
"Okay, anyways. So." the ring on his finger glows, and it becomes the Rod of Asclepius in his hand- and then he taps it to the ground once, and with another purple flash, takes on the form of Asclepius.
"I bet you have questions about what just happened." his assures. "But right now, let's take care of your arm first, okay?" he asks as he hunches down a bit to assess the damage, before doing anything, eyes narrowing as he moves his hand out, which glows purple, as he seems to be assessing the 'damage'.
- Naru Osaka has posed:
"Arrival on the balcony is really common. Either teleportation or jumping." Naru comments as she heads to the kitchen to find herself food and let Asclepius work on Alex's arm. "Bonus on the codeine cutting down on the freak out factor, at the very least." She notes as she pours herself a coffee and goes exploring in the fridge.
"I was a mess when I found out, but that was less the finding out exactly and more the kidnapping and mind control." Naru offers from the kitchen as she sets a meat pie in the microwave to just take the chill off, pushing buttons to achieve warm pastry.
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
More staring. More silent staring of Daisuke-Asclepius now, even. Thankfully, Alex's painkiller-induced daze does seem to leave him pretty lacking in terms of reactions.
"...Yes," is all he says thus, eventually, after all that staring. ...Well, actually, he's *still* staring, but that's besides the point.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius leans back up and keeps his hand out stretched. "This will feel weird. But it shouldn't 'hurt'." he says as that hand glows a little more... purple. Then. Alexis's arm also glows purple, and then he begins mending.
Splinters of bone begin reforming, moving through into thier proper former places- no pain comes with this, as bone melds back to bone and jagged edges become smooth again. Flesh and bone begin mending as it tingles, as he warned-- it'd feel weird. He concentrates a little more, Alexis should be feeling less pain now.
He then shifts his hand a little towards his torso and shoulder, making sure, just in case, there's stray damage there.
He lowers his hand as he leans forward a bit again, examining.
"I got all of it. You'll 'ache' for a day or two, but it won't be excurciating pain like that." he says.
He leans back and looks over to Naru and back to Alexis.
He looks between the two. "So are you two alright?" he asks.
- Naru Osaka has posed:
"I think that might have been his first henshin." Naru comments absently as she emerges out of the kitchen with her plate and her coffee. "I don't yet." She comes to curl herself up on the couch next to, but not snuggly close to Alex such that she can watch Asclepius work.
"Thanks for being willing to come and play medic." Naru smiles as she watches the purple glow, a little shake of her head as she waits on her meat pie to cool enough to eat. "That is just.. amazing. Seriously. Just so very cool."
"I'm good, by and large." Naru confirms with a touch of a smile. "Worrying about him is my current hobby, apparently." She gestures towards Alexis, her tone fond. "How about you, Daisuke?"
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
The reaction that comes out of Alex is more notable this time around. Namely, his eyes widen out upon the sight of ALL THE PURPLE, and his first instinctive shift is to try to wriggle away -- but then sitting around in one place for hours on end leaves his body slow, and the painkiller-induced funk ends up making him just give up on the effort and just wait. And stare. Stare more.
"So um," he lets out after Daisuke is actually done. "Does that mean I can actually use the arm?"
And then his eyes sloooooooooooooowly turn towards NAru. "...Henshin?"
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius motions. "Yes." he says. "Like I said. It'll 'ache' like.. I dunno. Maybe slightly sore muscles? Something like that. Less like you have countless knives stabbing you and more 'I need to work out less' or something." he says as he waves his hand off and...
Another flash and he's back to Daisuke just holding the Rod of Asclepius. He settles. "The transformation. Transforming." he says.
"'Henshin'" he says.
"I am Daisuke Hansuke. But I am also Asclepius." he says.
He looks to Naru and back to Alexis. "How much do you know, if I may ask. About this 'weirdness'?" he smiles a bit. "I'm assuming you know about Mamoru of course..." he says.
- Naru Osaka has posed:
"Two healers, with slightly different focus. They make an awesome team." Naru takes a bite of meat pie before answering, tucking her legs up under her on the couch.
"I tried to explain before the barbeque, but Alex already was on the path of 'that makes no sense' sort of questions after we met a youma a while back." Naru explains after she's chewed and swallowed. "Then the barbeque here was .. a bit overwhelming." Even without weirdness, the sheer numbers were enough to make anyone's head swim. "Not a lot of actual examples. Me.. you.. Mamoru."
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
"Well I mean..." Alex looks to Naru briefly upon Daisuke's question, and his expression twists in a frown briefly. A little frustrated one, actually. "I know just about enough to... I guess, *know*," he murmurs. "But it's not like I was given a pamphlet or anything. So I know just enough to know what is going without actually knowing what is going on. If that makes *any* sense."
Beat.
"It probably doesn't, huh?"
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius nods. "No it makes sense. I was confused a lot at first, but I had some more mundane weirdness leading up to the full fledged weirdness. Some... feeling something was missing. Something I was supposed to do. I dreamed of faces I couldn't see and remember. I spent some months trying to... figure it out. Until I found the Rod here in Verone's Library Archives." he says.
"I know this isn't very reassuring, but the more you're exposed, I think the more you'll understand." he says.
"As a warning I am.. not much of a fighter. I can fight. I'm handy with the Rod as a staff. But... I'm not taking down anything by myself." he smirks.
- Naru Osaka has posed:
"I kept threatening that I should make a pamphlet." Naru laughs softly, shaking her head a little. "It seems to be entirely different for everyone, though." She leans in to gently bump shoulders with Alex, the not freshly healed one even. "I only kinda sometimes know what's going on, because I ask a lot of people a lot of questions and then guess."
Naru gestures a touch to Daisuke's words. "I didn't have that experience, I didn't have any sense of something missing, or that I was supposed to do anything. I'm still trying to work out my own magic, I'm far more comfortable with other people's."
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
"Maybe you *should* make a pamphlet," Alex tells Naru with a sheepish smile that comes with a flash of his teeth. "Trust me when I say I would appreciate it.
And then he frowns faintly again, and looks off towards the nearest window -- which might actually be the door to the balcony, come to think of it. "I'm... not sure I have anything like that, either," he murmurs. "Definitely no magic. No weird. I'm just some guy in the middle of people with superpowers." And also gets in scuffles often enough that he usually carries at least bruises on himself.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius nods. "That doesn't make you less special. Or less important." he says. "As a note." he says.
He decides to have a seat, finally, as he continues to look over at Alexis. "Superheroes. Heh. I'm no 'superhero'." he says.
He yawns a bit. "That took a little more out of me than I thought. So. Probably gonna overdo it on the milkshakes again because I'm pretty sure that's what powers that." he says.
He stands up and looks to the both of them. "If that's all, I'll go ahead and take off." he smiles.
He'll begin to depart after unless there is more to discuss!
- Naru Osaka has posed:
"Well." Naru reaches over to give Alex a poke in the thigh with her index finger. "First off.. clearly my explinations aren't pamphlet worthy, cause you're still asking for a pamphlet." Naru points out with a touch of a smirk at Alex.
"Second, I'm less than a month from utering those exact same words. No magic, no weird. Just some mudane in the midst of a lot of magical folks. So there's a lot of 'never say never' and a whole lot of you have no idea how much I really do understand that notion."
"Thanks again, Daisuke." Naru turns towards the other boy with a smile. "Yes, you're a superhero, even if you aren't a pew pew superhero. Have a milkshake for me. I'll try and keep up with you next time we're both at the Crown." Naru grins at him. "Take care."
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
"Yeah, well..." Well what, Alex? Whatever it is, he never actually finishes the sentence, and just lets it stew inside and quietly grump about his particular situation. Because *grump*.
"...Thank you," he calls after Daisuke, however, even while his eyes settle down onto his arm. "...For coming to help."
He just falls into silence right after that, to stare thoughtfully at the more-or-less-healed arm. All the wors given to him stir inside, slowly.
- Naru Osaka has posed:
Naru is pretty good at silence, letting Alex settle into his thoughts for the moment. She finishes her snack, leaning over to set her plate on the table and bringing her coffee mug back to sit with.
She's alright with letting that silence linger, leaning into him lightly as Naru sips from her coffee.
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
%REventually - thoug it might be a bit belated withh the continued painkiller-funk - Alex does bring his arm around Naru, and he lets out a small sigh.
"...We might need to go over with someone on what I should do," he murmurs, ruefully. "If something tries to come for you."
- Naru Osaka has posed:
"That depends a lot on what it is." Naru points out as she leans into him. "Most of what stalks me of late are just youma. Like the dude at the coffee shop. Those? We beat the snot out of. Carefully, so neither of us get drained."
Naru considers a moment and then adds. "Some things? I've gotten grabbed before I knew what was going on. Then? Beat the snot out of them too. Although I think most use weapons of some sort, rather than hand to hand. I don't how awful it is to hit with one's hands."
Naru is quiet a moment and then adds one more tidbit. "Although if I get grabbed again.. well.. someone'll turn up. This happened often enough that I've a tracker, and if I fall over, it sends out a message to the crew, and generally someone comes to rescue me."
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
"Most fights tend to be over in seconds," Alex points out in turn, with his frown steadily deepening, bit by bit. "And there's a good chance I will be the first one there by virtue of being around you a lot."
"I just want to try to figure out if there's anything I *can* do when something pops up that won't put up a *normal* fight."
- Naru Osaka has posed:
"Between teleportation and jumping and flying.. it really only takes seconds." Naru points out and reaching up to brush his cheek. "Which was the difference between the wraiths getting most of my emotions and the wraiths getting all of them."
Naru takes a deep breath. "Honeslty, love? I never know what's going to happen next. No two have been exactly the same, so there's a lot of 'see what happens now' and adjust as needed on the fly. Up to now.. hell.. even now, I do more hiding than fighting, because you've /seen/ me fight. One fight, I screamed insults at them long enough to let me run away, and then Madoka turned up." She pauses a moment and then adds. "I dont think you've met Madoka yet, she's Homura's girlfriend.. who was the one working the grill who wasn't Kyouko."
