Snack Stand at the Park

Location:	Mitakihara/Pikarigaoka - King Penguin Park
Synopsis:	While selling goodies at the park, Rena meets Mara. After a rocky introduction, They get to talking and such.

Rena Sakai has posed:
The Evening sun is hanging lazily in the western sky. For the first time in months, A small stand is set up. A girl with strawberry blonde hair is sitting there. She looks like she's completely burnt out but seems happy enough. Her stand has all sorts of baked goods set up. There are even several hot spots now. Hot coffee, Hot Cocoa, Hot Cider, and of course Hot Tea. There are cookies, cupcakes, Muffins, coffee cakes, and even some candies like Moshi and even some Taiyaki.

The girl leans back and gets comfortable. Underneath the stand, the sound of metal clanging against metal can be heard. If anyone asks about the sound, Its a relaxation thing. In reality, a little bear like fairy with a very cute tophat is blacksmithing! At least it keeps the girl pretty warm there!

Mara Brando has posed:
    It is definitely the time of day that Mara is on her way back home from school. She is carrying her guitar with her, but thankfully it is in its case. She hears a metal on metal sound and immediately jerks her head in the direction of the noise. She spots the stand as she was about to walk by the park.

    Mara lets out a sigh and starts to make her way over to the stand, and takes a look at it. She is very quiet walking up to it, trying to ignore the metal on metal sound as well. It makes her cringe a little bit as she inspects what the stand has to offer.. "Too sweet..." She sighs softly.. "Too many sweet things.." She lets out a gentle sigh, "What kind of tea do you have..?" Her voice sounding dull and mono-tone with a hint of annoyance in it. Not really directed at the girl attending the stand, but something might have happened recently.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles a little to the girl who is shopping around. "I have some not so sweet stuff here too. I have a couple good breads and stuff. Yummy stuff. I have some cheese bread, some cinnamon raisin bread and some Zucchini bread too!" She looks at the tea, "Oh! Today I have Oolong. Its unsweetened and there is some sugar there if you would like some."

The clanging continues. The girl at the stand reaches down and snaps her fingers. She gives a little stop gesture under the stand. The clanging stops with an audible HISSSSS! "I don't tell you when to work. I'm not allowed to do this at night, or during the day while you're at school." The voice is barely audible.

"Dabble!"The blonde snaps under her breath, silencing the muttering voice. "Sorry about that. Having a little difficulty with my little portable stereo." She states with a smile.

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara sighs a little bit at the girl working the stand. She heard a bit of what was being said, and the metal sound stopping as well. "I guess some people enjoy the sounds of metal on metal? I tend to like my metal to be a bit more musical.." She hefts her guitar a little bit in her right hand while it is in its case.

    "So.. I will go with some zucchini bread, and oolong tea.. I won't need sugar at all." She kicks at the front of her stand lightly, not seeming to care too much about the person's reaction that is operating it at all. So rude! "Oh.." While her food and hot tea is being prepared, she sets down her guitar case and opens it up to grab a CD from it.. It is a European metal band, and she then hands it over to Rena, "Here.."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai is moving pretty quick. She gets the tea poured first. She gives a warm smile to Mara as she hands over the cup of tea. Then she fishes out a mini loaf of Zucchini bread. It looks really nice actually. "I make all of this stuff myself. Its really fun!"

Then there is a kick to the stand. As she hands over the CD, There is a small voice going OFF! "What the!!! Why would anyone even do that! Don't they know I'm down here! That hurt! I could have messed up my work! We don't want that! YOU don't want that! Imagine that! You could wind up turned into a frog! A Horse! A pile of slime!!!"

The blonde hands over Zucchini breand and smiles nervously. She snaps out the side of her mouth. "DABBLE!"

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara looks at the tea and the zucchini bread then nods a bit. She takes the tea in her left hand, and the bread in her right. "Hmm..." She looks down at her guitar case for a moment before sitting down on it. It is very sturdy. She takes a nibble of the zucchini bread, then gives a firm nod before sipping the tea.

    "Hmm... That does not sound like a radio, but keep the CD anyway.." Mara sighs softly, "I don't know what to do with that talking voice.." She smirksa little bit. "After all... It threatened to turn me into such horrible things.." Her eyes turn to look at where she kicked at the stand. "Whatever it is, you might want to keep it quiet, because you never know who might be around.." She gets a bit of a wicked grin before taking another sip of the tea. "The tea is perfect, but the zucchini bread is just a tad too sweet for me, but otherwise, it is very good."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai looks at Mara and winces, Wait. Normal humans would only hear the clanging of metal. NOT the sound of a fairy's voice. She glances towards the girl. "How can you hear that?" She asks curiously. "Also, She didn't threaten to turn you into anything. She is worried about turning me into things." She frowns over the whole ordeal.

Quietly she hands over a small loaf of cheese bread. "Here. Try this. On the house. Its not sweet at all. Its actually really savory. I really like it myself. I like eating it with yummy honey butter or with stuff like ham or turkey in it because it gets really good." She beams a little over her cooking."

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara shakes her head a little bit, "I can be dangerous." With that she turns her head to look to Rena with a wide, friendly looking grin, but seems just a little off, almost like she is tempted to do something. "Oh, well, you aren't going to go tell everyone that there is someone that can hear your little critter, now are you?"
    Mara finishes the Zucchini bread pretty quickly, just wanting to get that over with. "An no thanks, I don't really like cheese that much.." She sighs a little bit, "To be fair.." Her bracelet on her right wrist turns into a soul gem.. It is a dark, blood-red color and there appears to be no corruption to it at the moment. "I haven't used this in a while, but I don't think I'll waste it here.." She laughs softly in almost a creepy way. "So... What do you think? Do you think you will keep that critter quiet so you don't get into any trouble?" She takes a sip from the tea once again.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles the patron and just stands up slowly. "Oh? You don't look that dangerous to me." She smiles a little. Is it confidence or just underestimation that has her saying that? Could be either or. Either way she is nothing but smiles. "Why would I tell people what you can do? I'd be exposing myself and I wouldn't dream of doing that."

She smiles and watches the girl enjoy the food. "Oh your loss. Its one of my favorites." She watches the girl and the second that bracelet becomes a soul gem, Her stance changes. It widens. Her right hand clasps her left wrist, covering a rather expensive looking watch. "That would make two people who haven't used their other abilities and don't want to jump into things here." She listens quietly for a few moments. Just shrugging off the whole threat. "Dabble is my friend and this is the only place I will let her work. She's very worried about protecting me. Right now though? She isn't the trouble you need to worry about."

    Mara watches the look on the other girl's face with that same smile. "Oh? Well, you never know how dangerous someone can be." She then shakes her head as her soul gem turns right back into a bracelet. "I'm not looking for a fight anyway..." She takes another sip of the tee with a gentle smile this time, "Some of the most dangerous people around here don't look dangerous at all." She seems content on sitting on her guitar case.

    Mara changes the subject now, "Besides all that.. If that is the only place you let your friend work, then fine.. However, you better enjoy that CD I gave you. It is good quality metal music." She nods firmly a couple of times. "I want to become a famous guitar player when I get older, and be a part of a rock band. However, I can't do that by fighting every person I meet, right?" She finishes off her tea, and stands back up handing the girl the cup, "May I get another cup of tea, please?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles a little and changes her stance again. She relaxes and lets go of her wrist. "I honestly don't feel like fighting. I don't claim to be the baddest girl out there, but I am not exactly a push over either." She giggles playfully. Ahh the subject change then! That is a welcome thing!

She smiles a little, "Oh I will be sure to listen to it! I love listening to music. My name is Rena. Rena Sakai. I go to Seishou Middle School. I'm in the drama club and everything. Nice to meet you." She giggles and nods, "I want to be a movie star. And a resturant owner!" She smiles a little and quickly pours another cup of tea for Mara.

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara nods to Rena a little bit, "I don't claim I am either, but... I just like to have a little bit of fun.." She smirks a bit as the other girl's stance changes. "Oh? Letting your guard down?" She teases a little bit, but seems to be slightly more friendly at least.

    "Good, because that CD needs to be listened to by just about everyone." Mara shivers a little bit just thinking about a couple of songs on that CD. "Just the lyrics are really good. Vocals don't have to be good to be good. He can get his voice pretty high, but he sings about all the right things to get my attention." She accepts the second cup of tea, and takes another sip of it. "I go to Seiyou Public school. I'm in high school myself, though I can't wait to be a second year so I can pick on the first year students.. Hehe...." She starts to laugh a little bit, and it goes on for a few moments before she stops, coughs, and takes a sip of the tea.

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mare then nods to Rena, "Nice to meet you Sakai.. I am Mara Brando." She offers nothing else but a nod at that point.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles, "You did first. I figure as fast as you can change to your other form, whatever it may be, I can do the same thing just as fast." She smiles softly. "Besides no point in causing a mess here at the park. Its kinda bad for business!"

The blonde giggles a little. "I will definitely listen to it." She looks at the cd and blinks a few times. "Dio?" She smiles. "Oh this is going to be fun! I can't wait to listen. I love music of all kinds! I used to want to be a SIIIINGGGERR!!" She sings the last word and it actually sounds nice.

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara tilts her head to the side ignoring the part about transformations for the moment. She just stares at the girl for a few moments before taking yet another sip of the tea. She looks around a little bit, "Eh... Not like it would matter anyway, I never hang out here." She gives a slight shrug.

    "Then why not sing?" Mara looks into Sakai's eyes for a few moments, "It is true the have a hard life, and if they mess up they can damage their voice. Well, that depends on the type of singing you do.." She finishes the tea, and sets the cup on the stand after standing back up. She turns to pick up her guitar case, "If I had my amp with me, I would play a little for you, but I don't have it... I have an acoustic guitar as well, but I don't play on it as much."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles a little to Mara, She seems to smile an aweful lot. "But but, Business!" She states with a little laugh, "I Just sell here when I can't I've been away these past few months. Lots of prep for the holiday season at my parents resturant."

She smiles and shrugs a little. "I still do sometimes. I like to sing. I like to act too. Maybe someday I will be a major performer! Putting on shows for all of Tokyo! Maybe even all of the world!" She beams happily. "Maybe I can put on a show about cooking? Wouldn't that be something really cool?"

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara stares at Sakai for a few moments wondering how she can dream so much. "I don't get it... Why do people think they can do so much? You realize if you try to do all of that, you are going to wear yourself thin, right? I mean.." She shakes her head as she was brought up differently. "I just focus on a few things... School, my guitar, martial arts, and what I do for work." She smirks a little after the work part.

    Mara looks around again, "Well, I should probably be off so that I can get my homework done, then I'll start practicing with my guitar some more.." She holds it up for a moment, "Don't want my parent's money to go to waste, now do I?" She lowers it back down, "See you around, and I might have to stop by again for more tea."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai looks at Mara and smiles, "You make the time for the things you love!" She beams a little. "Besides. IF you never try you never know what you can do! I make time to make my goodies. I give them to friends and stuff. Its fun for me and seeing people's faces light up. Its awesome!"

She nods, "Thanks for coming by and talking. It was fun! Catch up with you again. I should probably see if there are more customers. Or get home soon. Either way it will be fun!"

Mara Brando has posed:
    Mara sighs a bit, then turns to start to walk off. Did she even pay? Nope, but the girl that she got the tea and the zucchini bread might have forgotten that, and she just smiles softly as she casually walks off! "See ya!" She then starts to run, heading on home!
