Cast of Characters: | Eilam Hisakawa, Amu Hinamori |
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
It wasn't /too/ late at night, closer to midnight than noon though, certainly. And as a result, the shopping strip at Uminari was quite busy. Eilam himself was here, dressed fairly well and looking like he was going out somewhere. Where? Well, it's hard to say where he's /going/, but he did just come out of a movie theater screening. Soft yellow dress shirt, crisp slacks, sleeves rolled up and a large black walking aid in the form of a stave of sorts. A bit of an odd look, certainly, but he was favoring it a bit as if he did actually need it and it wasn't just some for-show fashion accessory.
As he moved along, Eilam eventually came to a small eating stand and stepped inside to sit down on one of the benches, taking his time to look over the various menu options while otherwise taking out his cell phone to send a text to someone.
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori was out and about today. After all, she had to pick up some stuff! Well, actually it was late and her parents had absolutely begged her to go get some stuff from the store for them. Her dad had given her a little extra spending money on the side,so she was still deciding what to get for herself. She was wearing her traditional cool and spicy look.
"Amu!" Ran said, making her look over. "Hmm?" and then she saw him. Pink hair, lots of it. That must be him, of course. The scoundrel, getting the heart of that sweet, innocent Reiko... Oh my gosh he was gorgeous. He was cute. I mean, he wasn't a tadase but... okay, he kind of was a tadase. Was he naturally pink haired? Oh dear. Miki sighed. "Really? Well, I guess you are the girl of many loves." "S-shut up!" she said awkwardly. Okay, she could do this. She first needed to get close.
Slowly, she started moving up and around behind him, eying him suspiciously. Could it be him? He was supposedly hundreds of years old. Never dying. but he looked about her age. Maybe it was the wrong guy? Maybe it was-- She got to close and someone bumped into her. With a shriek, she stumbled righhhhhhht into him.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"I think I will have a fried rice, extra egg... beef I suppose." and then he looked towards the offered drinks, taking a water. The fact that he was being stared at... well, he didn't seem to notice, instead just stretching and reaching to push his phone back into his pocket only to hear the sound of Amu getting bumped into, and stumbling. A rather sound clatter arose as he was knocked into, the stool thankfully bolted into the ground, though he wasn't. The only patron on that side of the stand, Eilam wound up falling over and attempting to catch himself, but doing a rather poor job of it and instead landing with one arm beneath himself as he was half turned from his effort.
It probably didn't do much to make him seem all that graceful. That, and a close eye might show that he'd actually managed to knock his nose rather soundly on the ground, not quite breaking it but certainly managing to bring a bit of blood. "What... happened?" He asked, sniffing briefly as he realized his nose felt wet only to reach into his other pocket as he tried to push himself up to pull out a handkerchief and press the red cloth against his nose. As of yet, though, he hadn't quite got up so much as shifted around to see what, or who, had hit him. As well as the others who were there, including the stall owner, staring. "You two okay? Need any help?"
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori managed to fall on top of the poor guy, cause of course she did. Her cheeks flared as she looked down at him. Her heart pounded. Oh by the heavens he was cute. Like, wow. She was half tempted to call him a prince as well. Tadase would be so jealous if he saw this now. She then blinked and shook her head when she realized he was bleeding.
Panic rose in her. "Oh no oh no oh no! I-I'm so sorry! I've killed you!" Okay, a bit over dramatic. She got to her feet and held out her hand, before pausing and then grabbing a bunch of napkins and holding that out. Then a second later realizing THAT was a bad idea and instead knelt down besides him, putting the napkins to his face as gently as she could.
"Don't move, I have a little bit of first aid training. I need to make sure the nose isn't broken." With one hand she reached out to gently touch and examine his nose, the other held the tissues out to catch the blood. Miki sighed. "See, this is what you get for spying on people."
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"No, no, it is not... broken, I just bumped it." he attempted rather insistently to deny the effort to check on him and using the stool he slowly pushed himself up. Though he heard something mention 'spying on people' and as he raised up proper and leaned against the stool he was sitting on, looked at her properly. And indirectly at the guardians. So she was magical? Fairly like Reiko. But they obviously didn't realize he could see, or hear them, or otherwise they wouldn't have just said that.
Well, if she /was/ spying on people, possibly him(?), no reason to let her know now. "Nothing to be done about it." Eilam remarked in a rather simple Japanese way, though his accent and even manner of speaking made him seem rather archaic and aristocratey. Very proper, little to no slang. Old man stuffy speaking. Which might even be a bit odd with someone his age. Though if she was paying attention, she might sense a bit of magic about his face, his nose specifically. No spells or flashy effects, just... something about his nose that came and went simply enough. "I think I will be just fine shortly. If you meant to eat here too, do not let me stop you. I am fairly used to cute girls falling for me, but that was a bit literal." He, on the other hand, could attempt to fluster someone with a completely straight face and do so with the full intention of finding out just what she was doing there, idly hoping the 'spirits'/guardians would say more than they needed to and let him know things she wasn't directly saying.
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blinked and then turned red. "W-what? Hmph. It's nothing like that," she said with a shake of her head. "There she goes, being stubborn again," Ran said. "I was just walking by and accidentally bumped into you, that's all. My name's Hinamori Amu," she said, holding out her hand. The name might be familiar, since they seemed about the same age and she was a member of the guardians. If he went to the same school. "A pleasure to meet you." She brushed her hair back with her free hand.
She was soooo suspicious and the others were watching her. Well, there was always the test. ran suddenly RAN INTO HIS FACE! Well, okay, she didn't quite run into it. Ran a few inches in front of it and proceeded to make faces. "Nyehhhhhh." It was a silly, but often efficient test.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Hinamori Amu? I do not believe I have heard that name before. Nice to meet you." And with that, he reached out to take her hand, pulling it up to kiss the back of her hand in a teasing manner. Well, she did seem embarrassed, so might as well push his luck and attempt to keep her off-balance in that regard. Though the guardian jumping at his face did surprise him, he blinked and when he opened his eyes, realized that it wasn't attempting to hit him. Though he did look at it. Sort of. It was in front of his face, and Amu behind it, so would it be obvious he saw it? He didn't directly flinch.
If only because he blinked instead and was a bit lucky in that regard, as he was actively trying not to show that he knew.
"Either way, join me? Hisakawa Eilam. I mean, you did push me over, so at least a conversation?" His tone overall was fairly teasing, though he was relaxed, hand having fallen away from his nose with no real sign of bleeding remaining. In fact, no damage at all, though that might not be as obvious.
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blushed a little bit, her cheeks going red. She then smiled none the less. Ah, so it WAS him. Ran crossed her arms, staring at him, before nodding. "Okay! He can't see us!" She then turned and flew back over. "Really? He has magic though, right?" miki asked. "Maybe not all magic people can see us," Ran said with a shrug. "Or maybe his heart's egg is broken already," Su said sadly, looking at him with pity.
Actually, Amu looked slightly saddened at that prospect too. "Sure. So, you're Eilam? I heard about you from a mutual friend of ours. Reiko. Though, I'll be honest, I didn't expect you to be so..." "Cute?" Ran offered. "Dreamy?" Miki offered. "Tall?" su offered. "About my age." "Coward," Miki said with a snicker.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"You know Reiko?" He has magic? How would they know that? Did Reiko really... but surely she wouldn't. There was a moment where he seemed sad, in fact he realized it probably showed. "I suppose I am, yes. I am glad to hear she is doing better now. She was hospitalized for a while. Though as for being closer to your age..."
That made him smile a little, "She has eyes for older types, from what I gather. And I think she also has a thing for the fragrance I normally wear."
Which to note was a soft floral scent that was mixed with some kind of tropical fruit. "How old did you expect me to be? I'm not entirely sure what Reiko said of me but if you did not expect my age, it makes me wonder."
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori smiled at him. "Reiko seems quite smitten with you. she did mention you were older, I was hoping you'd be a bit closer to her age. She's just my friend, you know how you have to look out for your friends. Especially ones who are so young."
"Maybe he's not magic?" Ran offered. "You think he was just toying with Reiko?" Miki asked gasping. "Yeah! Look at him, he looks like a total sleeze!" Ran said with a nod. Miki shook her head. "Nonono! He's wayyyyy too cute for that!"
"I just wanted to make sure you seemed safe for her, you understand. She can be a bit naive at times. I wanted to make sure you weren't too old and just taking advantage of the young lady." Miki snorted. "Oh, because you're the one to be talking about 'too old'. What about Pierre? He was at least twenty two." Amu's cheeks got a littttttle redder.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
For a moment, Eilam was quiet, watching the owner of the food stand they were at working to make his food before it was finally placed in front of him. Though as he looked at it, he started to realize he'd lost his appetite largely at the prospect that Reiko might be telling others about him? Remarks about him being magical, seeming older. Though he may be reading too hard into it, at first glance it would seem like she told one of her magical friends about his condition.
"Would you like some of this?" Eilam offered towards Amu, pushing the bowl of fried rice with a side of beef to the side a little. "And as for taking advantage of her... no. It might not be obvious, but I am dying. I probably only have a couple of years left. My illness is slowly eating away at me." Which was completely true, ignoring any 'healing' that came from being stuck how he was. Permanently ill, but never better. "I probably would not have the energy to take advantage of her, and really, she does not have much I would want that I could not get otherwise. Honestly she /is/ a bit young, but... something about her attracted me." he fails to mention he was a bit enchanted with her over having been introduced to the world of magic /through/ her.
"I have plenty of money, that could by me comfort or good food until such a time. It can hardly buy friends, though. Are you okay, though? You seem a bit red. I know I teased you a bit, but surely I am not bothering you that much? Besides, I have no desire to see Reiko sad, so while I might pick at you, I am hardly going to come onto you, so I would not worry about such." as if he couldn't hear the guardians teasing her about her own interests.
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori stared. Slowly her eyes widened. "Y-you're... you're dying?" she asked softly. "I-I'm so sorry. I thought... I'm sorry." She gave a soft sigh. "And I'm happy to know your intentions with her are pure. She's a very special girl, you know." She gave a swift nod.
"I guess none of it's true, then," Ran said with a shrug. Miki sighed. "I can't beleve he's dying! He's so cute! Hey, Amu, want to--" And she was batted out of the air under the guise of Amu 'stretching'.
"Hmmm? Oh, I hardly noticed. I must be just a bit chilled," she lied. She glanced to the food, her cheeks going a little redder. He wanted to share food with her? An indirect kiss? W-wow. He truly was mature. Not that she'd show it, waving her hand. "N-no way. I can get my own food. I'm not even that hungry." Her stomach chose that moment to growl, making her blanch. "Well... okay, I guess I should order something."
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"It's okay. I accepted my condition a while back as something that will never get better. It is fairly hard to live with such without coming to accept it." Though it would seem the fairies? Spries, or whatever they were seemed more convinced that Reiko was wrong about him being magical. And by proxy maybe she was too? If their behavior was anything like Reiko's koi seeming to mimic her thoughts or feelings. "And now that I think about it..." when he sees her start to accept it, Eilam reaches up to grab a set of clean chopsticks and offer them over with the rest of his stuff, including the water, "...you said you thought I would be older. I think I know what that was about. I often tell small lies to people when I start to... share more about myself with them. Trust, to me, is a very important thing. I have had others ... betray my trust before, and as I do not have too long left, i have come to be a bit petty in that way. But as I was saying, sometimes I lie in small ways, different ways, to those I want to trust. And if others seem to know things, or hear something strange about me or ask about things that they shouldn't know, then I tend to know if someone has a habit of speaking too much. Such as with Reiko... I covered up my condition by claiming I am a bit... different than how I am, and she seemed to have bought it enough to tell you something about me." At this point he reached into his pocket to pull out his cell phone, considering texting Reiko now to bring up his... concerns, but deciding against it, for the moment. "I mean, one girl I know still seems to think I am actually a vampire, weak to sunlight or something."
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori gaped, her mouthfalling open. "Y-you're a vampire?" Oh gosh, she was gullible. "Let me see your teeth!" And then took a bite of the food. Well, if he was offering. At least it tasted good. She frowned and shook her head.
"Don't worry about it. She didn't tell me much, only that you were older than her and that she was... that she thought you were cute. I just had to check up on you, you know? She's kind of like a little sister to me." She flashed a grin. "One that is mildly less annoying than my real sister, yet somehow manages to get in the same amount of trouble."
She looked him up and down. "You... know, I know you only have a short time left and... you may not want my opinion. But... you only have a little time left, right? Maybe it's time to start telling people the truth. I mean, what's the worst that can happen? They'll dislike it? So what, who cares what other people think? But best case, you'll have more trust filled relationships." "Does this mean you're going to tell Tadase everything that happened in europe?" she froze and irked.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
That had him laugh a little, "Yes, very much a vampire. But unlike in the stories, there is no biting involved. Just a very heavy kiss. I can hardly show you my teeth, but if you ever feel like becoming a vampire, you are welcome to ask for a kiss. I promise I am actually quite good at it too." he stuck his tongue out at her and softly ordered another glass of water only to let out a soft breath and lean lightly against the counter. "I would prefer people treat me like anyone else, not like they are going to break me. I do not want others to wait on me, or try to coddle me.I just want to be able to enjoy my time with others that I feel will not take advantage of my generosity or make my time a bit more frustrating than it needs to be. Not too much to ask, right? At least, i hardly think it is."
"Besides, money does buy everything that you cannot get otherwise, despite what people claim. So I shall be fine, thank you for the concern."
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blinked a few times. Then her eyes shot wide open. "W-w-w-what?" she squeaked, her cheeks going bright red and she flailed for a few seconds. "I-I-I-I mean, w-who'dwant something stupid like that? Ugh, I-I'm not interested in that kind of thing at all." "Really?" Miki asked. "Then maybe it was some other girl who was day dreaming about kissing Tadase." Su snickered. "I think it is every girl!"
Amu was suddenly surrounded by the flames of rage and the two guardians eeped and pulled a hasty retreat behind the menu. "I can understand that. but she's a pretty good girl, you shouldn't feel you have to lie to her. And in the end, all those lies will do is end up hurting her when she finds out. After all, what kind of friendship is built on a foundation of distrust?" Rich, handsome, sweet, sadly dying. No wonder Reiko fell head over heels for him.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Who would want that? Being forever beautiful, even when you're dying, being attractive to whomever you want, regardless of their gender and having nice hair? I am quite happy with myself, thank you, and I am rather certain you are too. I would almost think you would consider taking the bargain if not for you trying to think about Reiko. I mean, she'd probably only be a little mad if you wound up kissing a boy she liked after all, right? You seem to know her more than I do, so you might know better." a pause, then he laughed, "Then again, it seems to be a bit of a running joke that she has several suitors anyways, so now I wonder just how many others she has turned herself."
Hm. It does leave food for thought. Eilam did slowly push himself to a stand after digging out the money to pay for the food and grabbed his stave, turning to leave. "Enjoy the food if you like." All in all, Eilam was fairly happy with himself. Somehow he seemed to have managed to convince the girl that he was not, in fact, magical. And that may give him a chance to try and cover his ass with Reiko, if she did say more than Amu wanted to admit. But he would have to find out. But would Amu up and follow? Well, he would have to see. He hardly dashed off, so he could easily be stopped or whatnot.
- Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blushed even more. "I-I have a boy friend, thank you very much. And get gets very jealous when I kiss other boys." Oh, she has a bit of that suitor problem as well. She then paused and glanced up. "Wait, she does? Wait, turned others herself? Wait, she KISSED you?" she asked, gaping. Then she shook her head and glowered. That jerk, he was just messing with her.
Ugh, she let him go, eating the lunch. Well, at least he was decently nice. She wasn't sure she trusted him. But it was probably for the same reason she didn't trust Ikuto. Cute, mysterious, wayyyyy too old for Reiko. But as long as they didn't go too far, she didn't see any hurt. Besides, he was dying. It was almost romantic in its own way.
