Date of Scene: | 26 February 2016 |
Location: | Uminari City - Juuban Avenue - North |
Synopsis: | An unfaithful man is attacked by strange Noh figures. |
Cast of Characters: | Ayana, Sora Hisakata, Ikiko Hisakata, Reiko Touyama, Ano Onna |
- Ayana has posed:
Evening has fallen on Uminari City, and with it has come an abnormal sense of foreboding. Something wicked and jealous is here, brooding and waiting.
The people of Uminari City can feel it. They don't know it, but their subconscious desire to stay indoors, lock their windows and doors, and hide under the covers with a loved one does not come from a simple trepidation, but from a more primal instinct that mankind developed long, long ago in his fight against evil.
But one couple is not heeding that call. They are out, he in a fancy white fur coat, strolling along with her attached to his arm like so much property. Her dress is too short, her heels too high for her to be comfortable in this late-winter evening.
And they are not alone.
It's just a flash of white, briefly seen from the corner of the eye. Just a brief view of a horn, captured when he isn't looking. But the man is starting to grow anxious. Starting to understand the depths of his own miscalculation.
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
Sora could, in fact feel it. She immediately reached for her bag of school books, slinging it over her shoulder and leaving the compound. "A classmate needs emergency tutoring for tomorrow's test." She tells her father on the way out, smiling at him as she excuses her own departure.
Once outside the family compound, she finds a quiet spot to take out one particular old leather bound tome, flipping it (like always) to page 66, reading the line. 'You know people won't be grateful, why are you still doing this?'
She digs out her own pen, and writes down her answer below that line. 'I can't let anything happen to home, it's where I live.' Both the original line and her own fade, and a brief response is visible on that page briefly. 'Very well'
Sora then whispers the quiet incantation the book taught her, something in ancient sumerian that she doesn't quite understand, and the shadows that surround her are drawn into her, into her hair, into her clothes. She closes her eyes, and the shadow forms a hat and extends her hair.
When she opens up her eyes again, they are gleaming red within the night.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
And while one Hisakata is heading out, another is heading homeward. Ikiko had been at and around school, dealing with club activities (read: feeding several of the local strays). Some of her canine friends had been having a bad couple of days, so she had spent some time petting them and listening to their troubles. The fact that she was willing to listen helped cheer them up, but it does mean that she's running a bit later than usual!
As Ikiko starts getting closer to her home, she senses the dark feelings permeating the neighborhood. "This can't be good," she mutters to herself. She ducks into an alleyway, touching a hand to her locket and saying, "Lycan Locket!"
There's a brief flash of silver, and then Cute Wolf Tsukiko goes bounding across the rooftops, seeking the source of the foreboding.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange was fluttering through the air and heart a-flutter~ Ohhh yes there was much to be delightfully blushy about tonight. If she could leave a trail of sparkly hearts in the air she probably would! She flies over he neighborhood, towards home- having taken the long arc way home because she wanted to dip and weave happily for a bit in the air on those tiny butterfly wings and humming her heart out.
Really, it was just nice to have something to be happy about- even if it wasn't solid and maybe a pipe dream.
Then her Chroma Wand vibrates somewhere over the Northern Part of Juuban..."Eh?..." she asks. She stops and her demeanor changes to one of concern and looking around. From this high up, the city mostly looked peaceful tonight. No blasts streaking through the sky. It wasn't a Shade-- those hurt to detect. No explosions or specs of light down below that looked nothing wrong aside from the twinking lights of cars and bicycle lights.
She began to take a small corkscrew path downwards as she let her wand guide her softly towards the ground. Time to get to the bottom of this detected blip!
- Ano Onna has posed:
Evening has fallen, but it is not one of peace. Somewhere in the city, That Girl is in her home, practicing in the small space set aside as an impromptu dojo, working on passing her night, once homework assignments are completed, and further hoping to bring herself both strength and enlightnment.
But no amount of training brings her any peace. The oppressive nature of the night simply screams out that something, somewhere is not right, and with a vague grumble to her grandfather, she's out the door, heading out in search of the source, choosing not to evade the primale sense of dread, but to follow it.
Thusly, there's another figure on the rooftops. Fists slamming together, the tattoo-like images of the twin dragons sliding down her arms and forming into gauntlets of white and black, her casual clothes replaced in an instant with her battle regalia.
"Tsukiko."
The Nameless Hero greets the werewolf. "Funny night to be out, huh?"
- Ayana has posed:
The man and his hanger-on girlfriend slow down nervously beneath a flickering street lamp. "Hey, baby," says the girl. "Maybe we should call a cab."
"Nah, I ain't got cash for a cab," the guy says to her nervously.
"They take credit cards, you know," says the woman with a roll of her eyes. "Geeze, why do you always have to have cash?"
"It's ... it's complicated," the man says, frowning. "Look, let's just get you home and then I'll be outa your hair, right?"
"Yes, do get out of her hair."
The voice is disembodied and disconnected, but it chills the man considerably.
"Baby, what is it?" asks the girl on his arms.
"I ... I don't know," the man admits, gulping in fear as he looks to and fro.
"He's lying, of course," says the disembodied voice. "He knows exactly what's wrong. But will he ben man enough to say it himself before I chop off his head?"
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
Now that's interesting. Shiniko walks out of an alley and comes across the couple, such as it is. There's an unsettling smirk on her face as she overhears this strange disembodied voice. "Maybe he will, maybe he won't." She sounds a trifle unconcerned when she says that, "Too bad you'll never find out, huh, because that neck isn't yours to split."
One of her hair hands points at the man's neck, and shadow starts spilling forth towards it, wrapping around uncomfortably close, but it should serve adequately at providing protection from attempts to cut off that head "So why don't you come out and play?" There's a somewhat disconcerting giggle after that question.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
A quick smile crosses Tsukiko's face as she's greeted by the Nameless Hero. "Glad to see you, Fist-chan," the wolfgirl nods in reply as they continue along. "Definitely promises to be a creepy evening."
She spots Orange flying towards the area, but before Tsukiko can wave down her friend, the wolfgirl arrives within earshot of the conversation. She looks around for the source of the disembodied voice, while still keeping an eye on the magical girl that looks like she's trying to protect the guy...
...or is getting ready to strangle him. Will the werewolf have to rescue someone from their would-be rescuer?
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange lands nearby as she looks around on the quiet street, save for the couple and-- the odd witch girl(?) there, she blinks and frowns a bit- arriving just to hear the last bit of this conversation--- she looks around. Okay, who does the spooky voice belong to?
Is it a monster? She waves her wand around trying to figure this out, trying to detect.
"Hey--no one's chopping off no one's head!" she spouts suddenly! She blinks and loooks over to the wolfgirl and waves a little dumbfounded suddenly! Whoops!
Did she be too loud? Regardless. Someone had to say something.
- Ano Onna has posed:
Thumbs up. Both of them, as the dragon gauntlets pipe up.
'A pleasant evening to you, Tsukiko.' Heaven-Fist says.
'Yo! What's the haps, wolfie?' Earth-Fist greets.
"Yeah, well, let's make it un-spooky so I can get back to meditating." The Nameless girl says, keeping pace with Tsukiko, before she skids to a halt.
Okay let's assess.
Two potential victims. Disembodied voice. A girl looping a shadow around the man's neck.
"So uh."
She asks the time old question, and potentially one of the most important questions she can ask:
"Who should I punch?"
'I say 'all of them'.' Earth-Fist pipes up unhelpfully. Heaven-Fist sighs.
- Ayana has posed:
"Interlopers!" the disembodied voice cries.
"Shit, get outa here, babe!" says the man, shoving his girlfriend down the street. She stumbles in those heels, and falls to the ground with a shriek of pain.
"What the hell, Shiroe!" she says, upset. "Who are these girls!? Why are they all tryin'a kill you!?"
"Yes, tell her, Shiroe!" says the disembodied voice, which isn't quite so disembodied anymore. A woman with long dark hair appears in the street, dressed in a dark yukata decorated with little pinpricks of starlight. Her eyes glow like Shiniko's: red and angry.
Five figures appear around her, each dressed in the garb of a ninja, save for their mask: grotesque noh figures, half laughing half crying as they protect their mistress.
"Tell her about your wife, Shiroe!" says the woman, before raising both of her hands. A trio of wickedly sharp discs appear from nowhere. They fly through the air towards the man--Shiroe--whirling eagerly as they seek his neck.
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
Shiniko corrects the apparently unfaithful man's girlfriend, "I'm not trying to kill him, I'm trying to save this asshole's life from her, over there." She points at the woman that appeared, and starts walking towards the woman and her ninja, hair serving as feet.
"They say ninja can't catch you if you're on fire. What if you're surrounded by it?" She has faith in the neck guard she created to serve as adequate protection from the discs, and instead she creates a ball of dark, black flames that she throws to hit the ground in front of the unfortunate couple, where it spreads to form a circle around them.
"I wouldn't get too close to the flame if I were you." She warns the two, and then she turns back to the woman and her ninja. "I think you picked the wrong time and place for murder, but then you picked the wrong husband, too; so I guess it's to be expected." That same giggle again, and yes, it's definitely mocking this time; she then glances towards the other magical girls, "You guys up for preventing a murder?"
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
The discs are a bit too far away for Tsukiko to intercept, so she instead trusts in the Shadow Witch's attempted protection and leaps in to interpose herself between the masked marauders (and their murderous mistress) and the terrified targets, staying clear of the burning cold flames.
"I don't know why you decided to go after this guy, but I'm not going to let you simply kill him," the wolfgirl growls, sizing up the foes. "Leave this place, before we force your darkness away."
- Ano Onna has posed:
"Ninjas."
'Ninjas.'
'Yeah, definitely punch the ninjas.'
There's a mild pause before Earth-Fist has a rare philosophical thought, inspired by Shiniko: 'Hey if those are real ninja, what if we breathe fire all over the nameless--"
"No."
'Where WERE you when the geat sensei passed down his knowledge?!' Heaven-Fist says incredulously.
'Punching rocks. With my face.' Earth-Fist says proudly.
There's no time to sigh though, the Nameless Hero flings herself off the rooftop in a mighty leap, single spin in the air building more momentum into the fist she lashes out. Her intent is pretty simple. She's trying to punch one of the discs right out of the air, before landing, a grave expression on her face.
So there are ninjas... And Shiniko is being kind of creepy on top of it. "Always up for playing the hero. You know you've got a really creepy laugh, right?" She points out, eying the witch a little hard and wary as she takes up a fighting stance facing the ninja squad.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange frowns as she looks from the weird witch. To the man. To the girl. To the.. the ninja? and.. the.. weird.. figures and-- and is that man unfaithful!? This is /scandolous/ to the young girl! Why would someone ruin something.. something so awesome!?
She just doesn't get it.
She flutters over to Tsukiko and plops herself down by her side. She raises her wand and a various amount of koi pop into existence around her.
She tries to throw some koi at the discs, but it seems mostly handled.
She frowns a bit.
"Right! No murder tonight!---"
Pause.
Did she really just say 'No murder tonight'?
- Ayana has posed:
Shiniko's hair literally is cut in half by the spinning blades, but it does--for the moment--protect the man. He yelps in surprise, then passes out from the fear of the attack itself. Meanwhile, his girlfriend stumbles to his side and starts picking his pocket. What a great people these are.
The witch lets out a shriek of rage, then calls, "Attack!" to her noh allies, all of whom leap into motion. One of them simply dashes through the shadows, disappearing in one instant, and appearing with its fist nearly in Ikiko's face in the next.
Another two leap towards Shiniko, similarly punching for her face through the shadows.
Still another stays with the witch to protect her, while the fifth jumps after Ano Onna, leaving Prism Keeper Orange all alone. The witch raises her hands and her metal blades streak back into them then disappear. "I'll kill you all!" she shrieks angrily, and then whirls around, sending more of her blades into the air, this time in all directions; some heading straight for the heroes and their defenseless charges.
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
"Of course I have a creepy laugh, I am a witch." Shiniko justifies the creepiness of her laugh to the nameless hero without any hesitation. She doesn't seem to think it's a big deal. The girl stares at her book, which has another thing to say to her. 'These kids have power, don't underestimate them.'
It's possibly helpful advice, but Shiniko frowns at it anyway, and writes down, 'I'm not fighting them, it doesn't matter.' Then, the masked minions jump into action, going through shadows to attack the Shadow Witch. They'd find their exit points lighting on similarly cold shadow fire right as they exit, the girl's shadowy hair-hands unwrapping into a protective field of solid shadow in front of her face.
"Is that all?" She asks as that guard drops, only to find out that this is, in fact, not all. More metal blades come flying, and the shadows that surround Shiniko and fill her hair spread wide, in front of herself and the charges behind them, undeserving of her aid as they are.
She'll make sure they get their dues later.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange doesn't have one of those shadowy figured leaping for her. Thank goodness for small favors, she thinks as she takes to the air and aims to summons an orange, fish shaped shield in front of her- as some of those metal discs ping off it. She lowers it when the danger of the current metal discs have passed. She frowns a little as she bites her lip. Hrm.
"Can we talk about this!?" she calls out.
Yeah, sure, smooth Reiko, she thinks, sure she wants to talk. this is TOTALLY a woman who wants to stop what she's doing and talk, she thinks. Prism Keeper Orange hasn't been this clear headed in a while, she thinks, so thats good.
Hopefully it stays that way.
She levels that wand at the the woman and some of those koi she summoned earlier salute up at her-- then turn into tiny koi missiles- darting off towards her to try to impact the girl and explode into sparkly magical explosions- like this attack was directed by an adorable tiny koi Micheal Bay.
- Ano Onna has posed:
This is immediately kind of a problem. Aside from the fact that they're rescuing a cheating bastard and a scavenging gold digger.
'Hey is she looting his pockets?' Earth-Fist asks, but-
'You are really unfocused tonight.' Heaven-Fist scolds.
'But she's janking his wallet and everyth--'
Okay, That Girl has had enough of the bickering tonight. At least HER head is in the game. The assassin bodyguards leap into action- That Girl can only focus on the one that lands in front of her. Her reaction is one of pure instinct, ingrained from years of training and conditioning her body to always be prepared for such assault.
She hauls off, reels her arm back, and lashes out, and swings a monstrous haymaker for the man, with a casual disregard to whether or not she's swinging 'too hard'.
There is no such thing as swinging 'too hard' in the school of Ikken Hissatsu.
All conflicts must be resolved in a single blow.
But that puts her at a disadvantage in the face of the flung blade. With a gasp, she relies on her reflexes, grunting in pain as she smacks one blade aside, and still earns a painfully blooded gash for her trouble. She clenches her teeth and fights through the chill sliver feeling that bites coldly when it cuts her. As much as Shiniko makes her super wary, she's forced to put her attention to the pressing threats of the woman screaming about killing them all, instead of the young witch with the eerie laugh.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Tsukiko yelps at the sudden appearance of the ninja, getting her hands up just far enough to roll with the punch, tumbling sideways away from the dark fire. She darts forward, zigging and zagging around the discs as she dashes towards the ninja that punched her. A sidestep feint to the left is quickly followed by a kick to the right as the wolfgirl lunges at the ninja, then she darts around to not give her opponents a stationary target to easily ambush.
As Tsukiko passes by another ninja, she snarls and jumps forward for one leap before continuing on her way, trying to distract it from the approach of one of the other magical girls on the other side of it.
- Ayana has posed:
The two ninja Shiniko burns simply cease to exist, but the blades don't slow down for her shield. They mostly cut straight through, barely deflected away, because shadow energy and hair don't do much to deflect shadow energy and metal.
Prism Keeper Orange's cries go unheeded, but her fish sure don't! The barrage of little fishies strike at the witch-wife, each one burning her like acid as they pop near her. She screams in anguish, and points a finger at Orange, "Die!" she says, and a bolt of lightning, dark as the night itself and filled with evil and impure energy, streaks across the distance towards her.
The ninja in the face of the Nameless Hero barely dodges her haymaker attack, but dodge he does. Mostly by stepping through the attack at the last instant, and punching at the nameless hero straight for her stomach!
The ninja Tsukiko is assaulting takes her kick and rolls back a step, then transfers into the shadows, only to appear behind her once again. With silent deadliness, the noh-faced killer attempts to slip a thin metal wire around Tsukiko's neck! A garotte!
The last of the noh ninja hesitates a moment, then decides that defending his mistress is not going to be effective if the shadow witch is able to attack on her own. He whips his hhands forward, and a barrage of deadly missiles--twelve in all--fly towards Shiniko all at once!
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
The shadows are supposed to be Shiniko's weapon, not her downfall, and as she comes to realize the Ninja are made out of shadow, she looks a little pissed off. "The Shadows are mine!" She shrieks, rushing towards the Ninja that sends its missiles, getting clipped by one as she rushes between them.
Then one of the two shadowy hands she has, reaches out and rips the mask of that particular Ninja, replacing it with a little shadow flame, small as a candle, in front of the Ninja's face. It, in turn, attacks its former allies, sending more of those missiles towards the remaining Noh-masked Ninja.
Shiniko turns towards the other witch, and says angrily, "I am Shadow Witch Shiniko, not only did you pick the wrong time, the wrong place and the wrong husband, but you picked the wrong magic."
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
The thin flicker of metal before Tsukiko's eyes is all the warning she gets, but it's enough for the wolfgirl to snap at the wire, fanglies lengthening and magically sharpening in a swift motion. With the garotte broken, Tsukiko whirls around with a kick, then chases after the ninja.
And if the ninja decides to teleport through shadows again... well, the wolfgirl is starting to wise up to their tactics; she'll do a high backflip to land behind where someone behind her would be, and strike from there.
- Ano Onna has posed:
'Oh, he dodged.' Earth-Fist muses, incredulous.
'He dodged.' Heaven-Fist confirms glumly.
"HURK?!"
That Girl realizes very painfully that... He dodged. "Yeah... Thanks for the heads up guys." It only came kind of uselessly. But she rights herself, an frown etching on her face.
The noh killers need to be put down before moving on to the source herself. And if That Girl can put hers down, maybe she can help one of the others, and make this go faster.
She shifts her stance...
Her palms itch.
She clenches her fingers and makes a fist, to ease them.
"I've already selected the style with which I'll strike you down." She murmurs, bringing up her hands into stance.
"Ikken Hissatsu: Way of the Unyielding Closed Fist."
It's a suitably dramatic announcement. She does not note that it is the ONLY style she knows.
Because she launches herself forward, swinging punch after punch... And she does not stop.
"ORYAAAAAA! ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!"
Punching and punching, and punching, her fists become a blur as she dishes out near one hundred strikes in the span of a few heartbeats.
"Try and dodge this! One Hundred Deathblows In One!"
Her blood is boiling.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange can dodge many things! Energy orbs. Beams. Dark Waves. But lightning is just one of those things that are hit or miss and Prism Keeper Orange zigs when she should had zagged, and it strikes her square in the chest-- and she screams out as the dark energy bolt impacts and blows her out of the sky and to the ground with a thud. Ugh...
She was hoping it would be more metal discs and that's what she's thinking as she slowly gets up off the ground. "G--gonna have to try harder..." she mutters-- to the woman? Or to herself? Maybe both.
She raises her wand and fires off a wave of orange color energy towards the woman-- in a series of bursts!
She frowns at this weird witch and looks towards Tsukiko and the-- um.
She doesn't know that punchy girl. Does she?
"Gotta help my friends!" she says to herself!
Holy crap that punchy girl is /insane!/.
- Ayana has posed:
One hundred deathblows in one is enough to simply disintegrate the noh ninja, which turns to a mist of shadow, and then dissipates wordlessly. Tsukiko's own backlfip maneuver puts her behind her teleporting assailant, and the resulting punch causes the ninja to stumble forward, then fall to the ground, where it too disintegrates into smoke.
With a shriek of rage, the witch clenches her fist, destroyingt he noh ninja that she and Shiniko are fighting over. It disappears in a puff of frozen flame that explodes outwards like a ball of coldfire, threatening anyone near the thing.
Reiko's waves of colour energy streak towards the witch, who tries to dodge them. Her outfit, however, grows plenty orange in the process, and she shrieks further with rage and fury. "ENOUGH" she declares, then leaps forward fast as light into Shiniko's face, and places a kiss in the air only an inch from the younger shadow witch. "Kiss of Doubt!" That kiss floats forward, then expands instantly outwards, seeking to trap Shiniko in a prison of anguish and uncertainty. Then, she reaches out to try and grip Shiniko by the neck. "I am the greatest witch of shadow here! You will pay for your insolence, and then your friends will die, too!"
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
That prison of anguish and uncertainty strikes Shiniko, who suddenly feels like she can't do anything... then logic kicks in. She /knows/ she is good, she /knows/ she is better. Whatever voice is whispering those thoughts of uncertainty, she knows it is lying to her.
It still slows her down, having to convince herself that she /can/ win, and that gives the other witch the opportunity to grab Shiniko's neck. She croaks, "If you are so great a witch..." The shadows below her feet move outwards, coalescing into a five-pointed star, a circle forms defined by the pentagram's points, with a circle bounded by its internal pentagon coalescing below the other Witch's feet.
"Then why are you failing so hard at it?" Dark flames light up at the tips of the shadowy magic circle's pentagram, "Shadow Witch's Hex" She intones, and at that moment two massive, clawed hands of shadow rise out of the ground, reaching to grab the other witch and squeeze her flat against the ground.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko keeps dashing in a circle, keeping a wary eye on the hostile shadow witch. When Shiniko's Hex strikes, the wolfgirl starts to speed up. Faster and faster she goes, silvery light starting to gather and pool around her. The more she accelerates, the more light accumulates and flows around her, and the more her form starts to blur. She gets to a certain speed--
--and with a sudden step inward, Tsukiko seemingly turns into a bolt of light, covering the distance to (and through) the hostile witch, striking like lightning and continuing on for a distance before decelerating back into view, slowing to a quick stop before turning to face the battle again.
- Ano Onna has posed:
Finally That Girl stops swinging. There is nothing left of her foe but mist and echoes. It is a rock hard expression that overcomes her face as she leans back and draws a breath.
She clenches and unclenches her fingers, taking a beat to shake her hands out and regain some of the feeling in her fingers and knuckles. There's still one more task to be handled. That Girl wheels around. Burgundy eyes wall upon the Witches. How the elder tries to crush the younger's morale. How the younger tells the elder to go stuff it.
She shudders at the sight of those bleak and black clawed hands. But the older witch had dug her grave, practically asking for this moment.
The Nameless Hero does not move to intervene. The older witch is left to the mercies of the younger, Tsukiko, and Prism Keeper Orange.
"... This fight was already over." Murmured as she moves on.
She's going to check on the cheating bastard and the gold digger to 1: make sure they're alright. 2: Probably apply gentle badgering to make the lady return that wallet.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama is having a good day today for a change!- and even with all this chaos going on, it's easy for her to find the positive energy in her for her usual strong attack! So she raises her Chroma Wand Skyward and calls out!---
"PRISM AEGIS POWER! ORANGE CHROMA OVERFLOW!"--- and a massive ball of strong energy builds above her as it dives into the tip of the Chroma Wand, super charging it as she throws the wand down---
And sends a massive house sized koi down towards the other, none Shiniko witch- the one that's been trying to kill those two people.
She's hoping she doesn't move at the last moment- she doesn't know if she can rustle up another one of these!
- Ayana has posed:
The witch shrieks at Shikiko's sudden burst of willpower, and in that moment she realizes her doom. Crushed by Shikiko's brief curse, she is an easy target for Tsukiko's silver wolf assault, and for Reiko's Orange Chroma Overflow.
"I WILL RETURN!" promises the witch in her final moments, as she fades away into mist ands moke.
Meanwhile, the girlfriend has run off with the cheater's money, leaving her broken heels behind.
- Ano Onna has posed:
That Girl clenches her fist. This shall not go unavenged.
'One day, ho-bag. One day.'
'TSUCHI-KEN! LANGUAGE!' Heaven-Fist howls.
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
Even with the other witch gone, that crippling self-doubt keeps creeping back. It unnerves Shiniko, and she decides to look into cleansing it as soon as possible. Before that, however, she walks towards the cheater, the flames part for her as she approaches, and one of her shadow hands reaches out to pull him up, whether he wants to stand or not.
"You don't deserve to die for what you did." She speaks very quietly, but the anger within her voice is very, very clear. "But you do deserve to pay for being a pig, and for making me take risks to defend a pig."
And thus, as the shadow hand lets go of him, a single kanji rests on his hand, shadow writing down a character that can only mean woe. Quickly, this shadow melts into his skin, vanishing from sight. He will find himself lacking in good fortune until someone breaks that curse.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko looks at the dissipating witch, then glances towards the former couple (well, the half that's still here) and shakes her head. Treachery in love -- an ugly thing, but not something that's magical by nature.
The wolfgirl looks over at the remaining shadow witch. While Tsukiko wasn't close enough to see the kanji, she's not sure she likes Shiniko's tone. "It was... nice meeting you, Shadow Witch Shiniko," Tsukiko nods, her expression wary. "I would stay and chat, but I need to go."
She gives a smile to Orange and Fist-chan, then bounds across the roofs for several blocks before dropping back into an alley and changing back to Ikiko. She had texted home when she knew that club activities were going to run long, but right now she's so laaate!
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama softly looks across to Shiniko, and she watches her.. do something weird to her hand-- but Ikiko doesn't seem bothered by it? So... she just shrugs. "Right--bye you two!" she says suddenly with a smile as she pushes her feet up off the ground and takes off into the sky---
Well. That could had went better- but at least the people got out generally okay... right? Except one kind of passed out.
Back to the air and dreaming about mysterious guys in green cloaks~
- Sora Hisakata has posed:
"Bye." The Shadow Witch says to Tsukiko and Orange both. And now, all Shiniko has to do is figure out how to break this curse without asking for help. She walks off, to a shadowy alley, and starts doing the proper procedures for cleansing curses. All the while doubting her own ability to do it properly and screaming at herself to stop listening to that voice.
At least when she's done, those doubts vanish along with that curse. Then, she lets all of her gathered shadows vanish into that alley and puts her book back in her bag, she starts walking back home.
When home, she complains, "Man, some people just can't be bothered to think about what they're doing." She's talking about that unfaithful guy, but it can easily be understood to mean the recipient of her emergency tutoring.
