Cast of Characters: Mamoru Chiba, Kyouko Sakura, Nephrite, Sayaka Miki

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
When Kyouko texted Mamoru about 'lol wat magic memory loss d-point thing maybe?? or youma?? idk?? help pls', Mamoru was actually in his actual real apartment, with Nephrite and a half dozen pizzas and a couple of six packs and Google Sketch-Up or whatever, that thing for architecture and interior design.

He said to come over, and they're still there.

He didn't mention that they may have had some issues with a brand new jackass magical stalker the other day, so his aggrieved tone as they get to the balcony is probably unexpected. "No, I swear to god he wasn't like that when I was six! He was just a sad lost baby space alien and we made friends and it was really nice. And I actually met Usa for the first time the day he left, and she gave me a rose, and I gave it to him because he legit had to go back to outer space because he was getting sick by being here--"
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko had texted Sayaka as well as Mamoru, saying she knew someone who might know something about her mysterious memory loss- or at least, something to check into. She had also sent an address, and she's waiting outside the tall building when Sayaka arrives. Sayaka may recognize this place vaguely, that sense of deja-vu again. They spoke to Kunzite here. It was also where the Puella had their makeshift Thanksgiving dinner.

Kyouko smiles when she sees Sayaka, although her smile is reserved. She leads the girl up to the penthouse where Mamoru lives like a king.. or a prince, anyway. She doesn't bother to knock as long as the door is open, leading the way, though she holds the door for Sayaka to enter behind her. "Yooo, we're here!" She calls out, loudly, because calling out softly is not something Kyouko knows how to do. She looks around the still-empty place, approaching the balcony. "What the hell dude, hasn't Homura brought your stuff back yet? You want me to go get it from her? I promise I won't even hurt her that much."
Nephrite has posed:
"I think the lesson we have learned for today is not to take home little baby space aliens, no matter how cute and sad they look." Nephrite lounges on the floor, kicking back the rest of a can of beer. "Next thing you know, they're peeing on the carpet and shoving your girlfriend around in a fit of jealousy."

He waves the empty beer can at Kyouko as she enters. "Nah, he's going through a minimalist phase. Dumping all his furniture and learning to live out of a shoebox. It's very zen."
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka had likely received an equally weirdly worded text from Kyouko, but for her, it seemed oddly..Familiar, especially after she had skimmed through previous messages from the red head, messages that she didnt even remember reading, but were still eerily familiar.

Of course everything about this situation is eerie and yet familiar. Deja-vus tended to be that way, afterall. "Kyouko-san.." She smirks, that same distance in her eyes as before, although this time she regards her more as an acquaintance than a stranger at least. She follows her up the steps, peering at the generous apartment building appraisingly.

"Wow, nice place. Just who exactly is this friend of yours, anyway? Mamoru-san, was it?" somehow, she feels as if she should know that name.

Then Kyouko just walks in casually, and Sayaka pauses uncertainly at the door. "Um..Hello..sorry to interrupt..?"
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru gives Nephrite a dirty look. "I'm not Jadeite," he says huffily. He looks up and waves Kyouko and Sayaka over. "Hi, you two. Have some pizza and beer." He sticks his tongue out at Kyouko and shakes his head. "Homu rented me a place from our joint account to put all my stuff until we blew up D-Point, but there's three other apartments on this floor that have to be connected to this one before we can all move back in. Easier to keep the stuff over there until the dust settles. Can't even get started here until we fix Usako's house -- it got flattened during Walpurgisnacht -- because a) we actually have places to stay and her family's all separated staying with friends, and b) she stored all her family's stuff here, and we gotta move that back where it goes too. Just hanging out here doing preliminary design stuff for how we want to reconfigure the space."

Apparently, despite the umbrage and crankiness he was voicing as the girls came in, Mamoru's hella talkative and cheerful around Neph. Who he also gives another stinkeye. "And you can stuff it, I haven't taken home any baby space aliens since I was six. And believe me, he doesn't get a pass for shoving Usa around and hurting you just because he was sick and sad when he was little. We just have to figure out what happened..."

Then he waves a hand around impatiently. "Sorry. We've got new creepy magical obsessive stalker problems. It's backburner for right now, though, so no worries-- what's up? Something about memory loss and D-Point, orrr?"
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko gives Nephrite a toothy, lopsided smile as he waves to her, and then walks over and gives Mamoru a quick hug, just one arm around the neck. Then, at the mention of pizza and beer, she brightens. "Damn, you do know how to treat a girl right." She says, as she reaches for a slice. "Saya-chan, have some too if you want." She says, gesturing to the pizza, making sure the girl know she's included in the invitation.

She takes a bite, chewing as Mamoru talks, and then lowers her brows. "Somebody's pushin' Usa-chan around? You want me to kill 'em? I'll do it." But then it's said to be 'back burner' for the moment, and she shrugs.. "Well.. we can talk about that later, anyway."

She pauses, then takes another bite of pizza. "Eh.. there ain't really no easy way to say this so. Saya-chan.. that's Mamoru." She points. "And Nephrite." Point. Then she goes on, addressing the boys primarily. "Saya-chan seems to have.. mislaid her memories. She don't remember nothin' since last summer. She thought she just got back from her cruise, which was just before she met all of us the first time. She's still a Puella though. She's got the ring and everythin'. But she don't remember wishing for it, or nothin'."

She doesn't remember Kyouko either, it goes without saying, but the fact that she's here /with/ Kyouko, and not looking kidnapped, is a good sign. "Near as I can tell, whatever happened to her happened right after D-point.. I texted her the next day and she never answered. And she has this weird scar or somethin' on her hand." She gestures Saya-chan over. "Show 'em, Saya-chan. If it's related to D-point these dudes might have a clue, at least."
Nephrite has posed:
Nephrite grins smugly at Mamoru's stinkeye. Apparently getting a negative response only encourages him. "Well you did take Jadeite home, so obviously you've got a thing for puppy eyes."

He listens to introductions and explanations, tilting his head in thought. "Memory loss? That's... hmm. I mean, we've both got a heck of a lot of experience with being on the receiving end of that." He frowns, his red-brown eyes looking troubled.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
It still feels strange, being in a place that's familiar somehow, and yet not..And running into a couple of older guys who are gobbling pizza and beer so casually in the middle of the day. Still, Sayaka can't deny pizza, although she's not much for beer.

"Umm, pizza?" she grins, "Thanks! Dont mind if I do..What's the occasion?" Sayaka arches a brow at the mention of baby space aliens, finding this conversation pretty bizarre and hard to follow.

"Err...Baby space aliens? The heck? And what's this D-point I keep hearing about?" However, when Kyouko tells her to show him her scar, she steps towards Mamoru, holding out her right hand, palm up, for him to see the weird red colored star-shaped scar.

"Yeah...I kinda..Fell and tripped one day, must have been out for a bit, but when I woke up, I had this scar. I dont know how it got there but ever since, things seemed strange. People I should know but dont, places, events that happened that I dont remember happening, yet felt familiar, kinda like a Deja-vu, y'know?"
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Since last summer?" Mamoru repeats, appalled. He looks at Sayaka, eyes wide. "Oh my god, do you not even remember stuff from school? It's finals!"

Neph's comment about Jadeite just gets the guy a light shove in the arm.

Attention on Sayaka again, the older teenager shrugs a shoulder. "Occasion's lunch, basically. Yeah, let me see--" He glances at Kyouko, then at Sayaka again. "Actually, I-- since you don't remember anything-- I'm a tactile psychic, more or less. Do you want me to have a look and see if I can actually spot any magical damage? I promise not to pry or read your mind. Neph, do you recognise the star at all?"
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko just lets the boys do their thing. She's already offered all the insight she can into the origin of the strange mark and Sayaka's memory loss, which isn't much and basically amounted to 'let's go ask Mamoru'. While they poke and prod, metaphorically speaking, she wanders out onto the balcony, snagging a beer on the way.

Leaning back against the railing, she cracks it open and takes a swig, watching the others with slightly hooded eyes. Although she might appear at ease, those who know her well (mostly just Mamoru, in present company, since Sayaka is all amnesia'd) might notice a tension in her body, and the way her eyes keep flicking back to Sayaka. She's uneasy, but trying to keep up a casual front so as not to freak the blue-haired girl out.
Nephrite has posed:
A cold spike of ice shoots down Nephrite's spine at the sight of the star-shaped scar. He sits, silently, listening to Mamoru talk, his stomach sinking lower and lower and the pizza and beer alerting him to the fact that he should have perhaps had one fewer of each.

"It will fade," he says with an effort at a voice that isn't shaky. "With time." The look he shoots Mamoru is heavy with meaning. He doesn't need to answer the question of whether he's seen it before.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka grins, munching away hungrily at the pizza. "Hey, this is pretty good." Not sure about the beer though. She's never tried it before. But her focus is primarily on Mamoru, especially when he explains what he can do. "Really? You can do that? That's pretty cool.."

She smirks, and nods, her hand still outstretched, but hesitates when she sees the look on Nephrite's face. "Uh, is something the matter? Is it that bad..?" It has her slightly worried, but heck, she's gotta find out one way or another. Glancing back at Mamoru, she tries to remain good humored, "Go on then..It wont..Hurt, will it?"
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
As soon as Nephrite sounds like that, Mamoru's gaze fixes on him; he catches the look and his own expression goes somewhat less readable. As he looks over to Kyouko to get a read on her, one corner of his mouth quirks up slightly: something of a reassurance.

But then he's focused on Sayaka once more, and he takes her hand in both of his, shaking his head. "Nah. Even if I weren't a healer, I swear to god I'm not even touching anything, just," his eyes unfocus a little, "looking over the big... picture..."

True to his word, it doesn't hurt. It doesn't even feel like anything more than that an awareness not her own is present, briefly and unobtrusively, businesslike and clinical. And what he's looking at is a big freaking hole where there should be a fresh-to-middling stream of memory.

He drops her hand, pursing his lips and looking aggrieved all over again, like he's just been personally insulted. "Something chomped on your memory like it was a fresh doughnut. Neph, come on. Is it something they can beat up?" he asks his guardian, leaning over and clamping a hand over the back of the (very SLIGHTLY) older boy pointedly.
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko shoots Nephrite a sidelong look as she hears his comments, and his tone of voice, shifting where she leans back against the railing with her elbows up. She doesn't say anything though- her relationship with the non-Kunzite Shitennou is tenuous enough that she wouldn't want to risk it hurling accusations. The fact that she restrains herself is a testament to how much she doesn't want to screw those things up.

Instead, she turns her eyes back to Mamoru and Sayaka, watching as the tall boy delves momentarily into Sayaka's mind, or spirit, or whatever the hell he does. She might look vaugely jealous, because that's one way she'll never be able to get close to Sayaka- Kyouko is about as psychic as a ham sandwich, though considerably saltier.

"Hell, I coulda told you that." She mutters at Mamoru's conclusion, before glancing at Nephrite as well. "Please tell me the solution is stabbing. I've been outta my depth for a while here, I need to find my center."
Nephrite has posed:
Nephrite jumps at the hand clapping on his back, jarred back into reality. "Uh--yeah. Stabbing will probably do it. It's probably not even all that tough, really, since..." his hand rubs at the back of his neck, uncharacteristically anxious. "It wasn't exactly made by someone who was entirely there at the time."

He gathers himself up, crushes his can in one hand, chucks it at the nearest approximation of a trash bag. "It's really good at the memory eating thing. That's what it's made for. You can either ask nicely to give them back or probably just kill it."
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka's hands are shaking slightly. Admittedly, she is a bit nervous about all of this, and not entirely sure she wants to know what the outcome will be. However, she's equally curious and determined to get her memories back if that's the case.

"Heh, it'd explain why I felt so behind in homework at least, but..." Hearing what Mamoru says, makes her tense all the more, "Seriously....A Youma who stole my memories..? But why? That's sooo messed up! I mean really.." and Saya glances curiously at Kyouko when she says that, nodding

"Sooo, all we have to do is kill it. And my memories will come back." She smirks, "Sounds simple enough. Count me in!"
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Finding it's probably gonna be your biggest issue," Mamoru says, moving his hand to Nephrite's shoulder, squeezing it for a second, then letting go. "I don't know if you've got anyone you go to for divination, but if you visit the miko at the Hikawa shrine and tell her I sent you, she can do a fire reading for you, let you know where it is. When you go, if you want a hand, just give us a buzz, okay?"
Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko looks pretty satisfied at the 'probably just kill it' answer. "Yeah, well, I don't talk so good. But luckily, killin' shit is one of my natural talents." She then pauses, glancing at Sayaka, perhaps realizing how statements like that might sound to the girl who currently doesn't remember all the non-terrifying parts of her personality, "Ah.. um.. but how do we f-"

She cuts off as Mamoru basically anticipates her question and gives an answer. "Hm.. Fire reading huh. Aight. Whatever works. Whatever we need to do to get Saya-chan back. Get her memories back, I mean." She glances at the blue-haired girl again and then pushes off the railing, shoving her hands into her pockets after tossing the now-empty beer can into whatever handy recepticle might be around.

"Thanks, dudes. At least we have a direction to go in now." She walks over to Saya-chan, giving another little smile. She wants to give more, but she's unwilling to risk alienating Sayaka before they can fix the issue. "C'mon. I'll walk you home?"
Nephrite has posed:
Nephrite doesn't say anything else as the pair leaves. He reaches over, cracks another beer, and takes a long swig. Then he turns to Mamoru. "Alright, so let me start by saying that I was really, really drunk..."
