Casual Lunch Meeting

Synopsis:	Akane is working at her parents' restaurant and makes a new friend!

Akane Hino has posed:
The okonomiyaki restaurant run by Akane Hino's family is fairly large, meaning there's plenty of room for plenty of customers to come in and enjoy the cuisine they serve there. And today, Akane's taking some time to help out as a waitress for her family. She doesn't get a paycheck, just extra money in her allowance, but it's worth it in her opinion. For now, she's walking around checking in on customers to make sure their orders are OK, while supplying them with her trademark smile!

And since there's no school today, Hokuto has one of her few free moments. She's been out doing some shopping, picking up some books, some CDs, and a few interesting plushies (the one visible at the top of the bag is Ryo-Oh-Ki). Having told the family she won't be home for dinner - there's a little something she's got to take care of downtown in the evening - she's been looking for a place to stop in at, and okonomiyaki sounds like just the right thing. So in she goes, shopping bags slung from a rubber-padded hook held in one hand, and pauses at the entrance to see what the place is like.

Akane Hino has posed:
Not long after Hokuto comes in, Akane runs up to her and smiles big. "Hello, welcome to the restaurant! If you want to come this way, I'll show you to a table!" She smiles as she gestures for Hokuto to follow. "My name is Akane, and I'll be your waitress today!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"Thank you, Akane-san," Hokuto offers as she makes to follow. She takes a moment or two to watch the other customers as they walk to her seat, taking them in with a glance. "Seems to be keeping busy today," she remarks. "Popular place."

Akane Hino has posed:
Smiling as she brings Hokuto to her seat, Akane hands her a menu and says, "Take a look over that and see what strikes your fancy! I'll be right back to get your order, OK?" She goes off to help some other customers, offering them support and a big smile.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"Sure thing, thank you." Hokuto takes the menu and sinks into her seat, setting the bags aside. Finally able to relax, she spends a moment on a good, long stretch, hands high over her head, legs kicked up under the table, ending with an audible snap as something falls back into proper position.

That done, she turns to the menu, perusing the offerings to be had. The choice of drink is easy, a look at the selection of soft drinks and it's done, it's the choice of okonomiyaki toppings - and possible side dishes - that gets her attention.

Akane Hino has posed:
After a few minutes, Akane runs over with her smile still as big as ever. "Soooooo, did you find anything that looks interesting? Or maybe you'd like to start with a drink and look some more? Either way, it's all right with me!" She giggles a little at that.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"Mmm, well. So many choices... hmm." Hokuto muses. "I think I'm going to go with two smalls, different toppings on each." She's having trouble choosing, so why not split the difference?

"How about a coke while I decide?" she eventually asks. "And maybe one for yourself, as well? You look like you've been on your feet all day."

Akane Hino has posed:
At first, Akane starts to decline, but then her mother comes up and tells her to take a break since she's been working all day. "All right then!" She runs off to grab two Cokes and then brings them back to Hokuto's table and then takes a seat with her. "You'll like it here, I promise you that!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto nods and flashes a warm smile. "Thanks again, Akane-san." She takes a sip of the coke and her smile widens a touch. "Ahhh, that's good."

"So," she asks a moment or two later. "Family business?" Awaiting the answer, she continues to peruse the menu.

Akane Hino has posed:
"Yeah, we are a family owned business actually. I sometimes come here when I'm off to help out. It gives me a little extra money in my allowance, but even moreso it gives me a chance to meet new people!" She smiles as she says this last part. "I love meeting new people, you know!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
With a nod and another warm smile, Hokuto offers a hand across the table. "Well, then, no reason to stop now! Hokuto Minase, pleased to meet you, Akane-san. I'm afraid my own job rarely affords me such pleasures... but then, I suppose I do find it rewarding in its own way."

Akane Hino has posed:
Shaking Hokuto's hand, Akane smiles and says, "Well, I'm glad you could stop by! It's a great place and we have a lot of great food here! I'm sure you'll find something to your liking!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
'Maybe I already have,' Hokuto doesn't say. Besides, there's her sempai that she's long admired. "Well, what do you recommend?" she asks. "I'll bet you'd know all the specialties."

Akane Hino has posed:
Akane looks over the menu for a moment or two, before pointing to a special dish that Akane loves. "You'll like this one I bet!" She says with a huge grin.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto takes a look at it, then nods. "That does look good... I'll have that in a small, and, let's see... this one." She points out a shrimp and bacon mix. "And why don't you put in for one for yourself as well?"

Akane Hino has posed:
Nodding a little, Akane flags down a waitress and gives the order quickly. After that, she looks to Hokuto again and says, "So tell me, Hokuto, what do you do if you don't mind my asking?"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"Hmm, well," she muses. "A bit of this, a bit of that. Helping out at a shrine now and then, mostly." A little bit more than now and then, really, and a little more often than now and then. "And school, of course, but that's just school."

Akane Hino has posed:
"Oh yes, school, you can't live with it and you can't live without it!" She giggles. "And helping out at a shrine is good too. But it's important to take some time for yourself." She smiles. "So what kind of things do you like to do for hobbies?"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"That's what I'm doing tonight," Hokuto answers. "Been out doing some shopping, picking up a few things." She waves a hand at the bags under the table. "And there's a movie tonight, I was thinking of catching the new Star Wars."

Akane Hino has posed:
"I love playing volleyball, for one. Shopping is fun too. And then I have working here occasionally." Akane smiles. "I'm a busy young lady!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto nods, "You do keep busy, it sounds like." She smiles again. "Volleyball, hm? You on the school team, or just play for fun?"

Akane Hino has posed:
"I play mainly on my school's team, but it's fun to play on my own too!" She smiles. "Isn't that what sports are about? Having fun?"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"I think so," Hokuto agrees. "I suppose not everyone does, though." She hmmms softly. "How long does it usually take to cook okonomiyaki, again?"

Akane Hino has posed:
Checking her watch, Akane hmmms. "Should be ready any minute now." Just then a waitress comes up with the girls' orders. "Speak of the devil, right?" She giggles. "Thank you!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"Ahhh, perfect timing." Hokuto grins and digs in. "Well now." She grins and takes another bite. "Definitely worth the wait."

Akane Hino has posed:
Nodding and taking a bite as well, Akane smiles. "Yeah, we cook quite good food here, I must say!" She giggles. "Of course, I should know that considering my family owns the restaurant!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto nods, her smile wide. "Indeed, indeed. And a most worthy restaurant it is. I shall have to keep it in mind next time I'm in this neighborhood."

Akane Hino has posed:
Finishing her food, Akane smiles. "I'm so glad we had this time together. It was fun to meet you, and I love enjoying my family's food."

Hokuto Minase has posed:
\Hokuto nods, and has finished about half of hers, by that point. "It's been a pleasure chatting and eating with you, Akane-san. I hope I haven't kept you from your work too long."

Akane Hino has posed:
Shaking her head, Akane smiles. "Nah, I needed a break, and I wanted to meet someone new as well! Hopefully we'll see each other again soon?" She giggles a little.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto nods. "I'm sure we will," she agrees. "It is fate, after all, is it not?" She smiles widely and warmly once again. "Perhaps I'll come to your next match. Which school do you play for?"

Akane Hino has posed:
"Infinity University. Come see me sometime, you'll like it I'm sure!" She says with a grin. "And maybe we'll get to socialize some more too!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto nods. "I'm at Verone, myself. So long as we're not playing against you, I'll cheer you on."
