It's late, but not /very/ late: the sun has only just set, and it's a mild evening with the stars just starting to show themselves. Still, even with the ambient light still left, someone would have to look up and be paying attention to notice the figure skipping from rooftop to rooftop over the shops! It's a girl, wearing an impressive pirate hat (jolly roger and all), along with a distinctly piratical matching black coat trimmed with gold and heeled boots. In one hand she's carrying a cutlass made of gold, and in the other there's what looks to be a small book. She seems to have been running for some time, and when she stops atop a local bakery, she looks behind her, one hand on the hilt at her side-- but it looks like no one's there. "Whew!" Tide Captain says, exhaling loudly. And then jumping up, throwing one fist skyward! "Mission successfully accomplished! No one can beat the Amazing Tide Captain!" She declares to...well, no one but the skies, since no one else is on that roof. Or so she thinks.

Patrolling the city is something that Tsukiko has gotten in the habit of doing, looking around in case there's something amiss -- a small youma trying to steal dreams for nightmares, perhaps, or magical mischief.
But tonight is being a relatively quiet night; not much has caught her attention. Things are calm enough, taking a small break shouldn't be a problem. Perhaps over here by the ventilation system for a bakery, where she can enjoy the pleasant, albeit fading, smell of baked bread?
As the wolfgirl sits in the shadows cast by the waning moon, breathing deeply of the aroma of bread, the sound of triumph comes from another part of the roof. Tsukiko blinks, then hops onto the vent system, landing in a crouch, her paw-like shoes making a soft *tnk* on the light metal. "Congratulations on a successful mission, then?" she asks the girl in the pirate outfit.

Junko turns around quickly, the golden cutlass in her hand rising immediately before her defensively as she crouches into a combat stance. When she sees it's just a little girl (no matter how canine), she blinks, "Oh! Thank you!" It seems like that's all it takes for the Captain to grin broadly, sheathing her sword and throwing up the victory sign. Tucking the small book-- it looks like some sort of journal, or diary-- into her inner coat pocket, she steps closer towards the wolf, leaning in to peer. And then blink, "Ears! So cute! Can I touch them?" She asks, but already she's stepping forward, fingers squirming in anticipation.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko brings her hands up in a non-combative defensive posture as the pirate girl whirls with sword drawn, but relaxes as the sword is sheathed. The wolfgirl notes the small book, but doesn't bring it up; it's not hers to inquire about, at least not right now.
She blinks a bit at the enthusiasm the pirate girl has for her ears. "Uh... maybe we should introduce ourselves first?" she remarks. "I'm Cute Wolf Tsukiko; nice to meet you!"
- Junko Fuma has posed:
"Oh, right! I'm Tide Captain of the Endless Skies, but you can call me Tide-sama or Captain!" Junko says, removing her pirate hat and bowing with a flourish-- beneath the hat, her blue hair is untied except for a single jolly roger pin to one side. Formalities done, she plops the hat back on her head and grins, "Sorry for crashing your roof, it's the quickest way to where I need to go without anyone following me." Still smiling brightly, she looks at Tsukiko and says, "Please continue to pretend you didn't see anyone on your roof with stolen property, okay?"
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"I was just taking a small break and thought I'd enjoy the faint smell of baked bread," Tsukiko shrugs. "It's not really /my/ roof." To the wolfgirl, Captain seems to be cheerful and *very* energetic, but something seems almost off in a way...
Oh, that's what it was. "Why did you steal what you stole?" she inquires. Swiping something from badguys isn't too bad; stealing from jerks isn't as commendable, but might not be worth raising a fuss about. But if there's not a good reason for the theft... well, she might have to do something about it.
- Junko Fuma has posed:
"Because it's a treasure!" Captain says, eyes sparkling as she skips towards Tsukiko, apparently intent on giving the wolf-girl a hug and checking if those ears are real! "And as a pirate, it's my duty to take care of any treasures in my territory. Oh! Do you have an older brother? I met a wolf before, too. He was all wolf, though. We took a picture together! He was at the docks and he wanted to eat Davy-chan, but he got distracted instead."
The pirate girl doesn't seem to have any trouble jumping from one topic to another-- or ideas about personal space, it seems. If Tsukiko stands still for it, the girl will get a pat on the head and a gentle tug on her ear-- just enough to see if they're real, not enough to hurt.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko is somewhat startled by the answer and the suddenness of the hug, but she's soon hugging Captain right back -- and yes, the ears /are/ real! The one that gets tugged on twitches slightly, but the wolfgirl doesn't complain or comment about it.
She's too busy thinking about what Captain just said. Another magical wolf? And this one is more of a wolf than she is? "I don't think he's a relative of mine," she murmurs. Too wolfy for that, and she doesn't think anyone else in her family has anything similar to the Lycan Locket that she's wearing. Still, the fact that there /is/ another magical wolf out there is an interesting bit of information; perhaps she'll meet him at some point!
Another thought goes through Tsukiko's mind. "Who's Davy-chan?" she asks, glancing around for anyone else who might be nearby.
- Junko Fuma has posed:
Tide seems pretty happy to hug the young Cute Wolf-- after all, who doesn't love cute small things? "Too lucky, then! Two wolf hugs this month!" At the question of who Davy is, however, the pirate looks up towards the sky. "Hmmm... Davy-chan is really old and a scaredy-cat, but he knows some amazing stories." Glancing around the rooftop, she leans in close to whisper into Tsukiko's ear, "He's actually sort of cool, but you can't let him know that. It makes him bossy." This is followed by a deep sigh that speaks of much experience on this matter. "And he's got terrible vision! He wouldn't know a cute girl if she was covered in feathers and flying!"
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko gives Captain a slightly odd look at her comment about Davy-chan, cute girls, and feathers and flying. Whatever eccentricity is being talked about, it would undoubtedly make more sense if she met Davy-chan herself.
Easier to talk about present things, then. "What kind of treasures are you looking for?" the wolfgirl asks. "Is it easy to tell if something's a treasure?" For all she knows, Captain could just be a collector of small, red books!
- Junko Fuma has posed:
"Pirate treasure, of course!" Is the vague but boastful answer, said with a loud laugh that fades into a nervous one and finally dies out as the Captain slumps. "Honestly it's ridiculous the sort of stuff I have to collect or get involved with." SIghing deeply, she shrugs, "Oh well." And then she straightens, "Anyway, I know what we need to cheer ourselves up! Bakeries usually have some of the day's leftovers still around. This place should be closed by now, let's go get some!" And, humming, the pirate begins to traipse around the roof, trying to look for an entrance into the closed bakery. "Hmm. Maybe they left a window open!"
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko looks down into the alleyway. If she remembers the word on the street from some of the local strays correctly... "Do you mind if it's the two day old stuff instead of the day old stuff?" she asks, sizing up something in the alley. "It might be easier -- and less risky -- than sneaking into the bakery itself." Besides, it's early enough in the evening that it might only count as 'day and a half' old, which isn't that bad...
- Junko Fuma has posed:
"Feh! It's no fun if it's not a little risky, right?" Turning to the Cute Wolf, Tide Captain winks. "Let's go, let's go! They're mostly closed now. It'll be quick. Ah-ha!" jumping down into the alley-- but catching herself on a windowsill, and pushing herself up until she can sit on the sill. "Just give me a minute and I can open this right up!" She's so cheerful as she jimmies open the window, then peers towards Tsukiko, "Are you coming or not?"
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko shakes her head. "I should probably get back to my patrol," she sighs. Which is true enough, but it's more polite than commenting on someone's larcenous ways. Now, if she had some money with her, then she might 'help out', leaving a payment behind when they depart.
But tonight she doesn't have any cash with her, so that option's out. Perhaps she'll stop by here tomorrow as Ikiko and buy a few things, but not tonight.
"It was nice meeting you, Tide Captain!" the wolfgirl smiles. "Perhaps we'll see each other again some day!" And after waving for a moment or two, Tsukiko goes bounding off across the rooftops.
- Junko Fuma has posed:
Tide Captain waves farewell, and watches the wolf begin to bounce away, looking a bit confused. "Aww. I would've treated my kouhai, too. Maybe she doesn't like sweets." Her eyes widen. "I should've offered noodles, then. Oh well." And, taking some yen out of her pocket, she slips into the cafe, humming to herself. Time to buy some tasty donuts!
