She'll Go Go
Date of Scene: 03 November 2015
Location: Infinity University - Classrooms
Synopsis: Minako and Mamoru talk business over lunch on the roof, and there are Names Named, and honestly Saburo better watch out because he's very pretty.
Cast of Characters: Mamoru Chiba, Minako Aino

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
It's a clear sunny day, crisp and chilly, and the sky is very very blue. The door to the Infinity roof sticks, but not as badly as it used to since it got WD-40'd-- at least there's no horrible screech of metal against metal. Mamoru holds it open for Minako, bento in his hands, and a gust of wind tugs at his hair and at hers as soon as she steps out.

The places to sit are generally 'against the wall around the outside' and 'on top of HVAC units'; Mamoru seems to be heading toward the wall, probably to keep the wind from stealing all their words.

"So-- that Hansuke kid is apparently getting panic attacks from magic stuff and he went and spilled his guts to Ami-san and she texted me to come help tell him what the hell to do," he starts without preamble. "I went over with Usagi-chan and my friend Homura -- who also goes here and is going to help watch my back, especially if you're all busy fighting something and I need to be accounted for. She said she'd lie for me so I could be Tuxedo Kamen, by the way, if anyone ends up asking where I am when none of you are making sure I don't get picked up off the street by the Dark Kingdom."

There's a brief pause.

"Anyway, Ami's going to be handling him, for the most part, and she's not afraid to scold him. I think we also all ended up stressing that he needs to be more careful and less stupid about things. And-- I ended up having to tell him about Virtue, because we can't actually babysit him when there's so much else going on. I also told him to tell Tadase-kun that I sent him, so you really shouldn't get in trouble."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino; makes a few cluck sounds with her tongue. "You need to hang around better people. Lying is bad. Tisk tisk."

But then, more seriously: "That all sounds fine. But I get in trouble for everything. I sorta' take all the credit for everything as the illustrious Sailor V, so I guess I can't complain when it happens in backwards-reverse," she supposes.

"But yeah, I met him too. I was over at Sei-- arrg. I was in the wrong school uniform," she says, trailing off halfway through her explanation.

The eventual explanation is just she met him (as Sailor Venus!) with Mercury, talked to him, and he seems to have passed 'her test', so he gets twelve thumbs up.

"ALSO! I asked him which senshi he wants as his personal guardian and protector, 'cuz his suggestion of Luna, while adorable, isn't the best investment of firepower, and she turned redder than a potato!"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru actually legitimately snort-laughs at the end of that. "Yessss. Usagi-chan is having an awful lot of fun making her blush lately."

He unfolds the cloth around his lunch and opens it up, sitting on the roof surface with his back to the wall, and starts to eat. He, of course, doesn't talk with his mouth full, so there are pauses between sentences.

"I'm glad he passes your test-- even if it's just so he stops freaking out so much. He also seems scared of Luna, but I guess that's legit, she can be pretty intimidating when she's angry. And she's angry at me like all the time." He waves his hashi around with a croquette in them because it's the best way he can think of to express his exasperation with his Luna situation.

"I also wanted to talk to you about Mio Kuroki, since apparently she spooked him, too. I think she bears watching, since every time she's met one of the senshi -- out of henshin -- she starts going on about how familiar they are, and how familiar I am, which is something Hansuke said about me too... and it was the same with Jadeite, so she might end up being someone else the Dark Kingdom goes after."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino raises her finger up. "He doesn't pass ALL my tests. I should really be more thorough and tisk out Ami about just jumping in on some boy and revealing herself just 'cuz she has a crush. How irresponsible," she notes, totally unironically.

"But I suppose it's OK. For this time."

She makes faces and wrinkles her nose and *almost* makes comments about cat fear and how they're harmless ("Just stick 'em in a bag!") but skips that.

"Wait wait, remind me about Mio Kuroki. And Jadeite. What's going on with them. And... Jadeite is a she? Am I out of the loop?" she says, only realizing what you actually meant after that slips out of her mouth.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"No no, sorry, antecedents, my fault. Jadeite's a boy. I think he's my age, even. But he and Nephrite and Kunzite all feel familiar to me, and so does Hansuke but more vaguely, and so did that kid Librarius I haven't seen in months, and so does this girl Mio. Jadeite's the Dark Kingdom general I healed because he took a really bad hit for me and kept me from getting stomped by a youma. I didn't have time to transform, and then I couldn't because he was there, but he shielded me and stopped it," explains Mamoru, hands full of pancake.

He puts the pancake down and fishes in his jacket, then takes out a small thermos of coffee and a telescoping cup. He pours some into the lid, sets it down, then offers the cup and the thermos to Minako -- but, like Usagi always complains, it is straight up black coffee.

"Mio Kuroki is that redheaded girl that showed up when you and Rei met me after school and I was dragging my friend Saburo out to be social with us. She was also at the arcade for a big thing way earlier, but I think you got there late... I've run into her a couple of other times, too. She doesn't seem to have any idea what 'personal space' is and always stares at me and it's a little creepy, but I really do think she just doesn't know how to people. She's at least magically-inclined, she might be magical, period, but if she is she's being weird about it. At any rate, Hansuke had a panic attack after meeting her, said she made him feel slimy, which is weird. I'm thinking maybe she has a Dark Kingdom whatever on her, like the one Rei knocked out of me with an ofuda."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino pours herself coffee and drinks it straight down. She purses her lips and considers it for a moment. "Maybe, in the future, you should consider not healing them. A 'thank you' and a 'take a rest here I'll get help and a secret interrogation' might be better. In the future," she says, careful and tentative. "A stab in time saves nine..."

"But, ahhhhhhh. I wasn't there. Can't criticize too much. Gotta play it how you see it," she adds quickly, waving her hand and starting to talk about Mio instead.

"Right. Right! I remember her. People who are close have their benefits too. You should invite her out but tell her to sit down in places and behave. People like that like being told what to do!" she says, smiling a little at the thought.

"And if she's magical, in some way, I should go and watch her. Spy style!" she says, pulling out a bit of a school uniform from Verone out of her bag to show off to you.

"But I'm running out of school days in the week for spyin' and there's only so many absences I can run even as the #1 student! I need heeelp!"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"To be honest, I was afraid to tell you guys because I figured I'd get disowned or whatever. But plot twist, Rei and that prince business? So I guess I'm just your collective headache now," Mamoru says, sheepish, but pleased Minako will take coffee black. "I'll definitely be more careful."

But then she's moving on to Mio, and he holds his coffee in both hands, the corner of his mouth twitching up. "I won't be inviting her anywhere, she'd take it as encouragement. I think she has a crush on me, and we wouldn't want Usagi-chan setting her hair on fire or something."

Glancing down at the uniform, Mamoru raises his eyebrows. "Well... Usagi does have the disguise pen, right? But she's a terrible student, she couldn't get away with absences. Maybe Rei? She goes to Verone anyway... wait, now I'm confused, I don't even remember what school Mio goes to."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino shrugs her shoulders to you. "Neither do I. I didn't think it was important. You two are the buddies, I'm just a third wheel," she says, leaning back and exhaling like she's missing out on adventure and excitement.

She also makes a 'Rei-chan is a prince' joke.

"Well, alright. You don't gotta' invite her anywhere, but you might have to if you think she's worth investigating and spying on. I NEED to know who to spy on. I really can't ask the others to do this in particular but, I'm sorta' running out of targets and leads," she admits.

"And considering how the Daisuke incident went, desMio <3 MAM</span> gets scribbled on it but not made immediately obvious.

"Usagi's disguise pen is neat, but, yeah, she's not going to use it to get out of school... well, she might, be she definitely won't use it to get into ANOTHER school and do double-homework. Unlike genius me, she can't handle doing all that work," she says, giggling.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Uh-- well, okay, running through 'people who are familiar but not Senshi': Mio Kuroki. Masato Sanjouin, if you can find him, because he was a teacher here at Infinity that felt really familiar to both me and Mako-chan, but he vanished a few months ago. Ami's got a bead on Hansuke. Don't know Librarius' secret identity, so can't track him down. My friend Saburo, who you might as well check out, but I think he's okay. The advisor for the Go club here, Saito-sensei," Mamoru lists off, peering over Minako's shoulder, then giving up really quickly and just drinking his coffee.

"Oh, god, how did I forget? We saw Kunzite and Apatite in an ice cream parlor on Halloween. Usagi and I were in henshin, they were in their uniforms, but... you know, ice cream, who's going to interrupt ice cream for a fight between the forces of good and evil? So that place might be worth checking out. Oh and-- Apatite's got a friend who's a normal girl, Sayaka Miki, who wants to help get her back from the Dark Kingdom. I think Kyouko-- I mean, who Apatite really is-- has a crush on her, so, I told Sayaka to call me if she sees her, but she could use a few other numbers to call in emergencies if I'm unavailable for whatever reason."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino shares her notes with you. "Ok. Vanished people are more interesting to search for but invariably take longer to find, so it's riskier. But I'd be happy to 'check out' your friend," she coos.

"And I'd love 'to go' 'to Go' club," she adds, stressing the whole sentence in grammatically incorrect ways.

"Apatite is a funny name. But yeah, I don't mind sitting in ice cream shops for a bit. To spy, primarily, but also to spy and fight. And eat ice cream," she decides.

"And emergencies are nice. I'd be happy to hit the Dark Kingdom again, especially if it gets me favors," she says, sighing and falling back.

"That's about all my official business'y talk. Just hook me up on any of those people and I'll get on it," she says, but she just gives you paper to scribble on before falling back, exhausted!

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
And that's right about when the lunch warning bell rings, too-- though in this case, it's just the alarm Mamoru's set in his phone. He takes Minako's paper and scribbles on it, too, adding what details he can think of as fast as he can while stuffing the rest of his lunch in his mouth. "Okay cool," he says, also, but it's with a mouthful so it comes out as more like 'ohay, hoow' though the meaning is clear. He swallows. "Go club is every day, so whatever day you're coming here next we can hit it."

As exhausted -- or as 'exhausted' -- as poor Minako-chan is, being late back from lunch is a thing only tolerated so often, so Mamoru'll help her gather up her stuff if she really is that tired, and then text her gifs of cats doing stupid things while they're in class to make up for making her talk business all through lunch.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino doesn't even bother to get up at first, accepting all of her stuff 'eventually' and dragging herself to her feet. "Yeah! I go clubbin' every day," she sings. And dances. She probably knows what you mean.

"My Go Rating is 1600. I'm pretty much a champion," she says. This is also probably not true.

"Anyways, thanks. I'll go GO whenever I can go Go, and I'll go bother your friend Subaru. Be sure to talk me up. A lot."

"A lot."
