So Much Pain
Date of Scene: 17 February 2016
Location: Uminari City - Seishou Public School
Synopsis: Ikiko finds Ayana in pain after an attack from Kunzite.
Cast of Characters: Ayana, Ikiko Hisakata

Ayana has posed:
The halls are empty. The clubs are mostly exiting. Most of Seishou Public will soon be devoid of life, save the little critters that live permanently in small classrooms. That, at least, is how it should be on the average Tuesday here in this school.

Today is a little different.

Because in the hallway, a pretty blonde in Seishou Elementary uniform is sleeping fitfully outside of a classroom. And inside that same classroom, an orange-haired girl in a similar uniform--albeit a bit small for her, since it's one of Ikiko's and doesn't quite fit right--is doubled over in pain, similarly unconscious to the world.

A fine mist of dark energy has coalesced near the ceiling in this room: remnants of what Kunzite left behind.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Being an active member of the Animal Care club is fun, but sometimes it can be hectic -- like when you arrive at the club room right after class, only to discover that the club is out of dogfood! It's nothing that a quick trip to the pet supply store can't fix, but it does mean that Ikiko is off campus for a while.

When she returns, something feels... wrong. She puts the dogfood away (and puts the receipt into the tally box), then carefully heads upstairs, hand near her locket in case she has to transform in a hurry.

When she arrives, the feeling of darkness helps guide her to the classroom. Ikiko spots the mist, but what catches her attention is the sight of two unconscious people. "Ayana!" she yelps, dashing over to her girlfriend and taking the kitsune's hand. "What's wrong? What happened?"
Ayana has posed:
Ayana whimpers as Ikiko touches her, then starst back awake. "Ow ow ow ow ow," she whines, culring up on herself. Her little ears are folded down, and her tails are all limp and lifeless. The look on Ayana's face is one of pure torture. "So much pain," she cries as she buries her face against Ikiko's chest.

"Kunehiro Saito-senpai was here," she explains. "He took a girl. Made her into a youma. I don't know why. They took her, and some other girl, away. Oh god, I hurt. I hurt so much." There's absolutely nothing wrong with her; no injuries or visible sources of pain at all. Yet the way she's huddled up it's like there's a spear in her side, and every ounce of her skin is crawling with fire. She's in so much pain that her eyes are welling with tears.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata sits next to the hurting kitsune, gently holding Ayana close and tenderly kissing the tears away. "Shhh, I'm here now," she murmurs softly. "I'll tend to your injuries, and help you feel better."

For a moment she wonders why Ayana was here, but decides that it's not immediately important. A quick glance at Hoshi reassures her that the Prism Keeper is merely asleep, and in no particular pain.

Then Ikiko starts looking the kitsune over for injuries, and a puzzled frown crosses her face as no apparent ones are found. "Where exactly do you hurt, beloved?" she asks. "And... what kind of hurt is it?"
Ayana has posed:
Ayana shakes her head. "I don't know, it's everywhere. A spear in my side and my whole body broken, every bone, pierced in a thousand ways. Little burns and bites and swordflicks. It's everywhere. I feel like I'm bleeding and dying; like every bone in my body is broken. It's not supposed to do this. He's not supposed to be able to do this to me!"
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata takes her girlfriend's hands. "Focus on me, Ayana," she says, looking the kitsune in the eye. "Focus on me, and my voice, and my love for you -- those are things that are real."

She starts humming a gentle tune, with all of her love for Ayana in her voice, then begins to tenderly kiss the kitsune. First on the backs of the hands, then up the arms to the elbows. A line of kisses, from one shoulder to the other, with light kisses across the neck. A kiss on each cheek, then forehead, nosetip, chin, neck, and a bold kiss on the navel.

Ikiko's humming finally stops as she kisses Ayana lovingly on the lips, one arm holding the kitsune close while the other hand gently rubs her girlfriend's ears. "Feeling better, my love?" she murmurs when the kiss finally breaks.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana tries to focus, but there's a lot of pain. It's hard. But the kisses help. Those are not just words, but physical sensations; reminders of what's real and true. Reminders of here, and not there'. Slowly, she stops shaking and crying, and then leans heavily into Ikiko. She takes a deep breath, then lets out a whimper again and hugs Ikiko.

"Thank you," she whimpers unhappily. "It still hurts, but it's less now. Much less. I love you, too. That's why I'm here. I wanted to take you to lunch. But then I couldn't find the club room, and then I saw him hurting that girl ... I tried to stop him. It was Saito-senpai. I trapped him in my Twilight Inpsiration, but then he ... he ... he hurt me. He hurt me so much. He gave me all the memories of his pain. He really has felt them all. Oh my god, he hurts so bad."
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata keeps holding Ayana close, still gently petting the kitsune's ears. "We can't do much for him while he's using his hurt to make others hurt," she sighs. "I don't think a hug will help much, and I'm not sure what else I could do. Other than Howling at him, I mean."

She gives her girlfriend an encouraging smile. "But getting a bite to eat sounds like a good idea," Ikiko nods, then frowns slightly as she first looks at Hoshi, then at the lingering dark energy. "But we can't just leave things like this. What's with that mist of darkness?"
Ayana has posed:
Ayana glances up at it. It's starting to dissipate, too. She shakes her head. "I'm not entirely sure. I think ... maybe it's part of Saito-senpai. He said something about keeping his body contained. Like ... like he might explode or something. I think he's leaking dark energy. I don't know."

The kitsune sighs and hugs Ikiko, then reaches up to pat her ears back into her hair. Her tails, similarly, vanish behind illusion. Once more just a girl in Ikiko's clothes, Ayana glances towards the doorway, then grimaces. "Hoshi," she murmurs quietly. "I didn't see what happened to her. I left her to try and deal with the other one who was helping Saito-senpai. She looks like she's asleep."
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata winces slightly at the comments about Saito. "That... can't be good," she mutters to herself, then glances up towards the ceiling. "Well, if it's going to go away, that's a good sign. Still, we'd better keep an eye on this room for the next few days, just in case that lingering darkness leaves any side effects."

She looks over at Hoshi, then thinks for a moment. "I'd better text Reiko," Ikiko remarks, pulling out her cellphone. "She's going to need to hear about this anyway, and Hoshi might need some help getting home, too."
Ayana has posed:
Ayana nods her head and leans up against one of the desks. She closes her eyes and sighs. "I'll go move her to the nurse's office," she says after a moment. "Tell Reiko she'll be there. And once she's safe, we can go get some food. I really need to eat," Ayana explains.

After a moment more of sitting still, she forces herself to her feet, then makes her way over to Hoshi's slumbering form. Very carefully, Ayana lifts the blonde into her arms, then starts towards the Nurse's office.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nods and walks along, opening and closing doors as needed. Typing the message takes a bit longer than usual, but that's because she's keeping an eye out just in case of any ambushes or other unpleasant surprises.

Once Hoshi is safely in one of the infirmary beds, Ikiko gives Ayana a gentle hug. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to help," she murmurs to the kitsune.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana emerges from trhe nurse's office, only to be immediately hugged. She smiles a little, still working off the pain of Kunzite's mental destruction, and returns the hug. "It's not your fault," she says quietly.

"You can't be everywhere, Iki-chan." Ayana kisses Ikiko on the forehead, then continues, "Besides, I think you'd have gotten hurt, too. He was really strong," Ayana explains unhappily. "I'm worried about him. He's not the same man who took such good care of me before. Something bad happened to him. Someone's pulled on his chain really hard, like Riventon did to me. But he's ... a lot stronger than I was, and I don't know if we can save him like we di dme."
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata gives Ayana's hand a small squeeze. "I'm not sure I could do something for him like I did for you," she admits. "The ritual I used worked on the mage/familiar bond, but unless he actually has something like that, the ritual wouldn't work, and my general magic isn't that strong."

She gives Ayana a quick kiss on the cheek. "It doesn't mean we can't save him, though," Ikiko points out. "Even if we can't save him ourselves, there's bound to be others who do have the strength to save him."
Ayana has posed:
"I hope so," Ayana says, as she intertwines her fingers with Ikiko's and starts towards the front door of the school. She smiles a little, then leans her head on Ikiko's shoulder. "I just don't want him to be hurt like I was." She pauses a moment as they reach the door, then steps through with Ikiko after only that bare pause.

"You know," Ayana says, "I wasn't really sure what it was going to be light ... fighting as a Magical Girl for real. That was my first time. It was really ... different."
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nods softly, then leans her head against Ayana's. "At least you had a rough idea of what you were getting yourself into," she points out. "The very first fight I was in against a youma, I was certain that it was all just a dream -- a very vivid dream, yes, but still merely a dream."

She turns her head and kisses her girlfriend's forehead. "So, where are we going to have lunch at?" she inquires.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana hesitates at that question, straightening up to peer at Ikiko. "Err ... I hadn't thought that far," she admits, blushing a little. "I just wanted to see you, and I couldn't wait for you to get home, so ... I put on your uniform and snuck on campus."

Ayana shrugs a little, then giggles at her own short-sightedness. "I dunno, uhm. Isn't there a noodle place near here?"
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Silly fox," Ikiko giggles, leaning over to kiss Ayana right on the blushing cheek. "But yes, I do know of a noodle place not too far away -- I walked past it when I was getting the bag of dogfood!"

It's a short enough walk, although the smell of the place sharpens both of their appetites. "So, what do you want to get?" she asks, looking over the menu on the wall and enjoying the aroma of the food.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana smiles foolishly at being called a silly fox. Her tails are wagging beneath her borrowed skirt, visible as a sway in the wind going the wrong direction. At least she's still keeping them hidden.

When they reach the noodle place, Ayana bounds in excitedly and starts looking over the menu, eyes wide with excitement. "I want the udon with--no the one iwth the ... oh and the ..." she pauses, then she turns to regard Ikiko, "Do you think they'd make me a bowl with every kind of meat and also eggs?"
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"It'd be worth a try," Ikiko suggests, a warm grin on her face. It takes a certain amount of persuasion and encouragement for the person doing the cooking, but she's able to get a 'Carnivore's Special' noodle bowl for Ayana, plus a bowl of udon for herself.

It takes a little bit, but the food arrives soon enough. Ikiko takes a deep breath of the smells, then smiles at Ayana. "Itadakimasu~!" she beams, then splits the chopsticks and starts eating her udon.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana doesn't even bother saying thanks for her food. Whether it's because no one taught her, or she's just too forward, the kitsune digs right in the moment the bowl is set in front of her, using her chopsticks more like shovesls to slurp mouthfuls of noodles in. Almost before Ikiko has started, the bowl is empty, and Ayana is licking her lips.

A little grin shows of Ayana's fangs, and she shares that grin with Ikiko. "So good," she whines happily, then asks, "Can I have another bowl? I didn't eat breakfast this morning because your mom made me do chores and I got distracted and now I'm super hungry." Pause. "Oh hey, I didn't even ask. How was school?"`
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata signals for a second bowl for Ayana. The cook, impressed by Ayana's appetite, quickly starts working on it.

"School was okay," Ikiko remarks while the bowl is being cooked up. "We were doing volleyball in P.E., and while not everybody was good at it, at least we all had fun. Math was okay; I think I got what sensei was explaining, but I won't know for sure until I try my homework tonight."
Ayana has posed:
"Hey I'm not bad at math," Ayana says excitedly, perking up a little. "Riventon was really good at it so I learned it really well. It's like the only real school subject I'm not terrible at. I mean, other than P.E" Ayana frowns in thought, then perks up again, "Maybe I can help you with your homework if you struggle with it. And I can reward you for good jobs with kisses!"
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"That sounds like an excellent deal!" Ikiko beams, then giggles at a small realization. "Of course, we should probably save most of the kisses until after the homework is done. Otherwise, we might get too distracted and forget about the homework!"
Ayana has posed:
Ayana's eyes widen when the cook brings out another bowl for her, and she smiles at him excitedly. "Thanks!" she says, then picks up her chopsticks, ready to once more dig in. But she pauses to squint at Ikiko a moment.

"No, I don't think I like that plan," Ayana says with a frown. "Then I just have to tell you that you did right instead of kissing yuou each time, which is way more fun. No, I think for each one you get right I will reward yyou with a kiss immediately. Then, when you're all done, I will reward you with a long kiss for completion."

With a nod of certainty, Ayana lifts the bowl of udon to her lips and begisn the shoveling once again. Much slurping and soup-spilling later, and she finishes that bowl before Ikiko's quite done with her first, as well.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nibbles on a noodle as she considers Ayana's suggestion. "Actually, that works pretty well," she admits. "I was originally thinking that it was going to be something like three kisses per good job, and for that having one kiss immediately and the rest at the end would make sense."

She quickly finishes off her bowl of udon, then grins at her girlfriend. "But having a long kiss at the end is much better than lots of smaller kisses at the end, so your idea is actually better than mine!"
Ayana has posed:
Ayana licks her lips clean, then studies Ikiko across the table for a moment. "Hmmm," she murmurs thoughtfully, then grins and pops down under the table, then pops up again next to Ikiko. "And for inspiration," she says quietly, then presses her lips to Ikiko's in a forceful, passionate kiss.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Mmmm," Ikiko purrs in response, kissing back equally passionately. She has a tummy full of tasty udon, her beloved girlfriend is sharing her heartfelt emotions with a loving kiss, and homework promises to be well worth the effort tonight. What more could a sometimes-wolfgirl want?

Finally, the kiss breaks apart. "Yup, I'm certainly feeling inspired," Ikiko smiles warmly. "C'mon, the sooner we go home, the sooner I can start -- and finish -- my homework." And the sooner she can earn those kisses! <3
