Magic Tricks

Synopsis:	Utau returns to town and, after Iru is rescued from the river, she makes a new friend!

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Not long ago, a helicopter had landed on a landing pad near the harbour. It had arrived under cover of night, carrying some very special cargo. One of its passengers, a girl dressed in a somewhat extravagant frilly white dress, steps out of the helicopter, ignoring the fussing going on around her and the yelling by her manager for her to wrap up in something warm..

    She steps towards the harbor's edge, peering into the cool dark water, moving some distance from the rest of the people who fuss about the helicopter, equipment out of it. This in itself would not be a particularly unusual situation, except for the fact that there are two tiny fairylike creatures flitting around the girl's head: One is dressed like a little devil in a red dress, complete with black wings and a forked tail; The other is dressed like an angel in a white dress, complete with halo and white wings.

    The two fairies flit about her, apparently having some sort of argument of sorts, although the girl largely ignores them.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Walking along the boardwalk, A young woman with strawberry blonde hair is just minding her own business. Sure the whole helicopter thing caught her attention but, she wasn't here for helicopters. She was here for ingredients! She loves to bake after all and she has a reputation to uphold.

As she walks along she spies the woman in a really pretty white dress! "Oooooh Pretty!" Then she spies the little angel and devil flying around her. Her eyes go wide. "Okay Rena, you aren't crazy. Those are there right?" She quickly checks some of the ingredients she had already picked up. "nope nothing here that would make me see things. Everything is shiny."

She picked up that particular word from an old american TV show. It just seemed to stick. Quietly she makes her way towards the strange girl with the fluttering friends. She keeps her distance for the time being, not wanting to interfere with whatever she is doing but if the chance presents itself she will introduce herself and maybe make a new friend!

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau continues to stare at the water, totally ignoring the fairies that continue to flit around her. The red one makes faces at the white one, chasing and laughing at her, to the point where she starts to cry. "Utau-chan! Tell Iru to leave me alone! Pleaaaaase!!"

    Still, Utau ignores them. It's not until Rena approaches her that she turns around to face her, a small frown marring her features. "Oh, another fan..?" Moments after she says that, a pair of school girls dart towards her, nearly knocking Rena out of the way as they make a beeline for Utau. In their hands they carry autograph books and pens, shoving the pens at Utau.

    "Oooh, Utau-chan's back! It's really her! The famous singer of the Black Diamonds! Please, can we get an autograph!?"

    "Oh..." With a sigh, Utau complies, busying herself with signing the autographs. It's only when they leave that she turns to face Rena again. "And you too? Another rabid fan?"

    There's a little 'splash' behind her, and suddenly the red fairy is yelling and struggling around in the water. Looks like she cant swim!

    "Iru!! Someone help!" cries the angelic fairy, Eru.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena blinks a few times as she finds out that this person is famous. She's heard of the Black Diamonds but didn't really follow them. She simply smiles to to Utau as she is attacked by the fans. The Strawberry blonde haired girl sets down her bags and looks to the fans.

"Hey I think she just had a long flight. Maybe wait until tomorrow or a show maybe to get autographs. Tell you what, I have some fresh cookies that I made this morning that you can have if you give her a little breathing room?" There is a joyous note to Rena's voice, Not to mention and English accent. Not American but British. She gives a warm smile to the girls and gets out a bag full of yummy cookies that she had made earlier in the day.

That is when the devil fairy goes for a swim. Her eyes go wide and without thinking she drops her cookies on the pier and dives into the water. Thankfully its deep enough here that she doesn't hit the bottom. Quickly she helps the fairy up on to her back and then makes her way to a well placed ladder.

Now soaked and cold, the young girl is shivering a bit but hey, she's got the fairy out of the water.

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    The two girls squeak delightedly as they get a copy each of Utau's autograph! They'd probably insist that she pose for a photograph too, before the older girl interjects, asking them to give Utau some breathing room and offers them cookies.

    "Ooh!" Their eyes light up, making a mad dash for the cookies, and momentarily distracting them from the famous songstress before them. They do manage to sneak a snapshot of Utau before peering curiously at Rena as she seemingly jumps into the water for no apparent reason. "What a weirdo! Yeah, let's just grab these cookies and run!" once she drops the remaining bag of cookies, they grab it and run for it!

    Utau meanwhile, peers over the edge, Eru clinging to her shoulder as they watch Rena dive into the cold depths and pull Iru ashore.

    "Ooh, thank goodness!" Eru darts to Iru's side, hugging her tightly, which only causes Iru to cough and sputter, yelling at Eru. "Heey, quit crowding me!" she mutters as she shakes herself, shivering a bit. "Ooh, I think I gotta cold now! Meh!"

    With a sigh, Utau picks up the shivering Iru, and wraps her in her long sleeves before peering at Rena curiously, "Hmm..thank you, for rescuing Iru. I didn't realize you could see her too..?" but the girl seems to be cold and shivering. She calls over to her manager by the helicopter, who arrives a moment later with a blanket, offering it to Rena, "Here. What's your name?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai blushes a little though that could just be the cold nipping at her. She smiles to the two fairies before turning to the girls who ran off. She shrugs. She offered the cookies and she was going to give them the whole bag anyway. So she doesn't bother going after them.

As she is given a blanket, Rena quickly wraps herself in it to warm up. Not exactly the highlight of the night but, hey! meeting new people is fun! "I didn't know what I was seeing. Even now I'm trying to figure it out but I don't mind helping out. I thought it better to jump in and help out because Iru was it? Didn't look like she could swim."

The strawberry blonde girl finally gets a closer look at the two fairies and just smiles. "They are so cool and cute! I didn't think fairies were real. My mom used to tell me stories about them. Stuff from her home in England. Oh Sorry! I'm Rena. Rena Sakai. Nice to meet you Hoshina-san."

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau doesn't really smile when Rena introduces herself. In fact she looks either bored, or tired, or both. "Rena-san. Nice to meet you. I suppose, you already know my name.." Afterall, she's only famous across Japan. Plus those girls just yelled her name for all to hear!

    She glances down at the squirming, shivering Iru in her arms, and shrugs, "Yes, I suppose you could call them fairies. More accurately, they are guardian characters. Everyone has one, but only some hearts are strong enough for them to hatch from your heart's egg, and make themselves known. Still, the fact that you could see them at all..."

    Utau steps a little closer to Rena, peering intently at her with cold, amethyst eyes. "How is it that YOU can see them?" More importantly, if she is capable of seeing them, did that mean she possessed a strong heart's egg herself?

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena just shrugs. "I dunno!" Simple enough answer. She really hasn't heard of any of this. She's not seen any fairies before and she's not met any national superstars either. So right now she just all smiles and quite content to be here.

"I wish I did though because they are super ultra adorable!" She giggles and gives the two guardians a little wave. "I am pretty sure I've not had anything hatch inside me. I mean, I think I'd know right?"

She thinks for a few moments. "I wonder what makes a heart strong enough for that sort of thing? I know! Maybe its because I know magic tricks!" Not real magic. Magic tricks as in slight of hand. She giggles a little at the thought.

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau arches a brow, still peering intently at Rena. "Yes..I suppose they can be.." Well, Iru's adorability is..questionable at times, as she can be pretty vicious! Once she's dried up (hey, she's pretty small and light, it doesn't take much to dry her!), she stares at Rena, flapping her arms.

    "Hey! You can see me! She can see me? Do you think....." She flits up to Utau's ear, whispering something furiously into it. Both of them continue to peer intently at Rena, as if searching for something.

    This causes Eru to frown softly, flitting up to Rena and smiling warmly at her. "Hello, Rena-san! I'm Eru! Pleased to meet you!" she giggles and curtseys, but still glares at Iru, "Dont even think it, Iru! Oooh, did you say you do magic..Tricks? So you're a magician then? Can you show us some tricks?" But she must possess some manner of REAL magic if she can see them, and if that's the case..

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai nods, "Yes of course! I learned when I was little because I wanted to be a stage magician. I thought it would be really cool to make people look shocked!" She smiles and pulls out 50 yen piece and quickly shows it. "A simple 50 yen piece. Nothing weird about it right? I've got no sleeves, or anything to really hide it right? Then with a quick action she snaps her fingers and brings that hand up to meet her free hand. She then snaps again, pointing towards the fairies as well as Utau. She opens her hand that had the coin in first. Nothing there. Her other hand is still closed. "If its not there, then it must be over here right?" She opens her other hand and nothing is there. She snickers a little and then stands to walk closer to the Eru.

Slipping a hand behind her back she smiles and brings that hand forward. "Look what was hiding between your wings. You were just trying to make off with the coin weren't ya." She opens her hand and sure enough there is the coin. She is of course teasing. Quietly she backs away a little.

"So umm what are you talking about? I just sorta enjoy making people happy and making a lot of friends. Its why I wake up early to make cookies and sweets. I like giving them to people."

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau just watches quietly, arms folded loosely as Eru flits around Rena, eyes open in wide-eyed curiousity. "Ooh...Ooh! That's amazing!" she giggles and claps her hands, even more impressed when Rena pulls a coin out of her wings.

    Iru however, seems unimpressed. "Bah!" She makes a face, folding her arms and sticking her nose in the air. "That's not REAL magic! That's just trickery, sleight of hand! Utau-chan, let's go, there's nothing more to see here!"

    Utau scratches her chin thoughtfully, Looking like she's about to say something, before her manager calls out for her to hurry up. "Hmm, looks like I have to go. Good night, Rena-san." And with that, she hurries off to join her crew.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai shrugs, "Can't please em all!" She giggles and pockets her coin. "It was nice to meet you Utau-san. Maybe we can hang out sometime." She smiles and gives a polite bow before she heads off.

As she walks on, she thinks a bit, "Why can I see fairies?" SHe shrugs it off. Time to go home and get warmed up!
